//-------------------------------------------------------// Patrol duty -by Timothy1509- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The little sheriff //-------------------------------------------------------// The little sheriff Maretime Bay 10:00am It was a bright and sunny day in the beautiful coastal city known as Maretime Bay, the earth pony, pegasus and unicorn citizens of the beauitufl city were all seen strolling peacefully through the streets, eating food in restaurants and home, doing work, and many more just like usual in the beauitufl city of theirs. Life was going sound for the ponies of Maretime Bay. Near the sheriff stations, there were two colts one being an earth pony, while the other one is a unicorn. The two ponies were Chase Trailblazer, the son of Hitch and Sunny Starscout, and Bright Cloverleaf, son of Sprout and Izzy. The two colts were seen waiting for somepony. "Where is he?" Chase asked while gently petting his dog Ryder on the head. "I don't know, he always shows up early, but, he is not responding to my text messages as well." Bright told Jim as he checked his phone. "Hey guys!" Chase and Bright looked to the source of the familiar voice to see their good friend Hydro Petals who is a pegasus colt, and is the son of Greninja and Pipp Petals. He was seen wearing his regal prince uniform, with a crown on top of his head. The sight made both Chase and Bright snicker. "Yeah yeah yeah laugh all you two want." Hydro told them with an aggravated expression. "I really cannot get a break from my mother." He finished. "Why are you wearing your regal uniform dude?" Bright asked. "It's because of my mom of course." Hydro replied referring to Pipp Petals. "I was going to casually make my way to Maretime Bay just like on schedule and as you requested my dear friend Chase Trailblazer. But, before I left, my dear mother demanded me to wear all of this before I leave so that I can signify the other ponies that I am a royal and they must treat me with respect which is extremely embarrassing, I don't want to act like a hypocrite in front of everypony. I want to treat everypony with integrity and impartiality since I'm aiming to become a professional physician when I grow up." He told them with an irked expression. "I know buddy but, why don't you just take it off and hang them in your closet in your bedroom before leaving?" Bright asked. "I tried to do you suggestion but, everytime I attempt to take these off, guards would swoop in and put them back on for me." Hydro told him. "Geez, that does seem rough." Chase said as he snickered. "Yeah, and don't think that all of this is simple, being a royal has its own flaws as well. But, at least I can study my medicine, health science and first aid books peacefully in my bedroom, and play sports and train in the ways of a ninja with my daddy without needing to wear the regal suit due to me needing to wear the ninja uniform during training." Hydro told them. "But, I still have lots of love for my mommy, because, no matter how many pillows and blankets she gives me, does karaoke with me, shoot videos together and many more. I still love her with all of my heart. Just like how I love Sylveon." He finished referring to the unicorn Sylveon who moved to the G5 Equestria for a new life under the permission of Xerneas herself. "That's good to hear dude, you must always respect your mothers even though they do seem aggravating and do embarrass you most of the times." Chase said with a smile, patting Hydro's left shoulder in the process. "Heck, there was this one time my mother bought me lots of toys and two new videogames in front of everypony while made me feel embarrassed in front of many fillies and colts." He chuckled. "You're not the only one Chase!" Bright told him with a chuckle too. Hydro laughed along despite him having no interests in videogames or royalty. "Anyways, what's our obligation today little sheriff?" Hydro asked. "I'm glad you asked Hydro, today my dad, assigned us to watch over the citizens first, corroborate that the streets are clean, disband any controversies that arise between certain individuals, maintain a balanced friendship with the other species and many more." Chase replied to Hydro simply. "And also to prevent certain crimes from occurring." He added. "That's it? Sounds very simple if you ask me." Bright said with a smile. "Yeah but try not to get cocky, otherwise, you might regret it." Hydro warned him. "Yeah yeah yeah, I know." "Well then colts, what are we waiting for? Let's go and commence our work!" Chase exclaimed. The three colts including Ryder moved to another part of the town and began to check on everypony to see whether they require any succour or protection from certain hazards or any knowledge that they lack. At first, everything seemed to be going finely but then, an old unicorn mare approached the three colts. "Hello there little colts, I'm looking for the glasses shop, do you know where it is?" She asked them. "Oh, sure thing ma'am, you just have to walk ahead of you and make a right turn, after that, the glasses shop would be located on your left." Chase replied pointing at the corner over on his left. "Here ma'am, allow me to guide you to your destination." Hydro said in a polite tone as he grabbed the old mare's left hoof before slowly guiding her. "Why thank you young colt, you're so kind." "Anytime ma'am, anytime." Hydro told her with a smile. Once their first obligation was completed, the three colts and Ryder moved onto their next task which is, cleaning the streets with brooms and dustpan, with dirt, Hydro took care of them by blasting water from his left hoof with the use of his hydro pump attack. "Now this is one of my favourite hobbies, assisting others." Hydro said with a smile. "Agreed, luckily, we have somepony who can shoot water." Bright told Hydro which made him chuckle afterwards. As Chase continued to mopping, he gathered the trash in the dustpan and decided to dump them all in a garbage bin but thne, the colt heard a familiar female voice. "Hello Chase." Chase looked in front of him to see his crush Rose also known as Posey's daughter standing in front of him with a smile. "Oh Rose!" Chase exclaimed with a startled expression. But, he pulled himself together and smiled at her. "Hello, what are you doing during the summer?" He asked. "Oh, I'm just here shopping groceries for mom as well as some products that I want to buy." Rose replied. "What are you doing?" She asked. "I'm just assisting my parents in corroborating the safety of other ponies as well as maintaining friendships between others." Chase replied. "Aww, aren't you just a sweetheart." Rose cooed as she kissed Chase in his right cheek. A brief second later, she pulled away, letting out a giggle in the process. "You're so handsome too." She finished as she rubbed Chase's left cheek. After that, the earth pony filly Rose, turned around before walking back home, leaving Chase standing there blushing furiously from the kiss he had received from one of the most prettiest fillies from school. "Hehe, seems like somepony has a special somepony." Bright said with a chuckle. "It also provoked him to loose his concentration on the current obligation at hoof." Hydro added as he too chuckled from the sight of his friend blushing madly and not moving. After cleaning the streets up, Chase, Bright, and Hydro were all seen assisting and educating others in how to maintain a balanced friendship with one another if they wish to establish better bonds, get accepted, as well as keeping the magic at the Crystal Brighthouse running in the future. "Alright you little filly, I'm gonna give you this lollipop." Hydro told her as he showed he a lollipop in his right hoof. "Oh thank prince Hydro Petals!" The filly said with a smile as she grabbed it. "Is it for me?" She asked. "Yes, but, it is for you to share." Hydro told her. "Huh?" "You see, one of the most salient parts of friendship is to put the needs of somepony else ahead of your own." Hydro delineated with a smile. "Therefore, you will share this lollipop to the filly because, you know the thing, sharing is caring." He finished with a chuckle. The filly nodded before looking at the other unicorn filly in front of her. "Here you go, you can have this lollipop." "Why, thanks so much." The unicorn filly said with a smile before grabbing the lollipop. "You see, having a good generosity in you makes you a polite and good pony." Hydro told the filly with a proud smile. On Chase and Bright's side, the earth pony, unicorn colt were seen trying to educate foals on why our friendship is salient in our lives in the world of Equestria. "So, if we do not make friends with one another, our magic will disappear?" A pegasus colt asked. "That correct little one, friendship is extremely fundamental in our lives in Equestria, because, if we just keep fighting and starting controversies with one another, it will damage the three unity crystals back in the Crystal Brighthouse, provoking the rainbow to dissipate." Chase delineated. "And when that happens, it will be like how we were in the past and BOOM! No more magic for any of us species, that is unless we befriend one another again in a more sincere way." Bright informed them. The fillies and colts all began to remember what Chase, Bright and Hydro informed them about and will try their best to befriend one another in the distant future if they wish to establish strong bonds with one another. After the education, Chase, Bright and Hydro were all seen back with patrolling the busy streets to corroborate that everypony were obeying rhe guidelines and are safe and happy as well as finding friendship with one another. At first, everything seemed to be going smoothly but suddenly, a scream was heard, following with the sounds of alarm blaring. "Whoa! What in Equestria was that?!" Bright exclaimed looking at the source of the noise. "That sounded like it was coming from the bank!" Hydro said. "Oh no, there must be a robbery. Colts move out!" Chase ordered. In a bank located in Maretime Bay, there were five stallion, and three mare employees being menaced by three robbers: two mares and one stallion in front of them who were weilding lethal weapons in their hooves. "Give us all of your bits this instance!" A mare demanded. "Yeah, if you don't, we will do it by force!" The stallion exclaimed. The bank employees were all frozen in fear at the sight of all of this violence and shoutingbthat is in front of them with the three robbers demanding them to hand over bits to them all. "Not so fast!" The three robbers eyes widened when they heard the voice, they turned around to see who was there, and when they did, they saw three colts, Hitch and Sunny's son Chase, Sprout and Izzy's son Bright, and Greninja and Pipp's son Hydro Petals standing by the bank's front doors while in battle stances. "You three?!" "Release the ponies now and surrender this instance!" Chase demanded. "Yeah, otherwise, you'll all receive a detrimental repercussion." Bright warned as he charged his horn. "Coercing these innocent citizens for bits is a violation against the laws in Maretime Bay, Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood. This can result in you three getting sentenced to prison for years." Hydro told them as he aimed his hooves forward. "The three of you should surrender while you have the chance, it wouldn't be wise to fight your way out of this ." He added. The three robbers replied to the three by sending them a glare before aiming their knives at them. "You three wish!" "Suit yourselves then." Chase told them with a shrug. "You three are asking for it." Bright said. "You're all welcome to try." Hydro said with a smirk. Then, the three robbers each targeted one colt each before charging at them with their knives aimed at them. Chase responded to his attacker by stomping his right hoof on the floor and trapped the stallion in vines, causing him to get trapped in the process. Bright took down his attacking mare by levitated a long nearby rope on the floor before tying the mare's hooves and flipping her upside down. Hydro simply took out his mare attacker by launching a huge gush of water at her from his two hooves which was known as his hydro pump attack which proved to be effective as the mare was sent flying backwards and crashing into a wall, knocking her out in the process. "Hahaha! Now that was easy!" Bright exclaimed victoriously. "That's what those three relentless robbers deserve for their stubbornness and vile intentions of robbing this bank and menacing the innocent ponies." Hydro said with a smile. "That should teach them a lesson." Chase said. In the sheriff station of Maretime Bay, Chase, Bright and Hydro all threw the three bank robbers in the jail cell of sheriff Hitch's sheriff station for their atrocious crimes that they've committed in Maretime Bay. "There, this should keep you three put and cool you all down for the time being." Hydro said. "Well done Bright and Hydro, I could've never done this without either of your assistances." Chase told them with an appreciative smile. "You're very welcome, after all, this is what friends are for." Just outside of the sheriff's office, there were two ponies Hitch and Sunny Starscout seen looking through the mirror panels of the sheriff's office while staring at rhe three colts with warm expressions. "I'm so proud of Chase." Sunny said as tears of happiness appeared on her eyes. "He's growing up real quick with intelligence, bravery and kindness." Hitch said nuzzling his wife Sunny.
