As I entered my living room and went to sit down on my chair, I heard "Mom can you tell us a story!" as my child came into the room I saw the pleading look on his faces I let out reluctant sigh "alright which story?" I asked, Tigers Eye then said "your story mama!" I silently prayed that the it wasn't the war story, "your war story!" he finished said ecstatic that I was going to read him a story, I thought of a way to jump around that but my husband (a grey Pegasus named Charlin Greysky) walked into the room as well and asked "hey, what's going on here?" My son answered "Mama is going to tell us her war story!" Charlin gave me a confused look I simply said "they want to know and I'm looking for my book" Charlin was confused on why I would tell them and not him, "if you want dear I could tell you too" I said as I headed towards the bookshelf and skimmed through it, I quickly pulled my note book out and gave it a once over hello old friend I thought, I walked back to my chair, Sat down with a sigh then I cleared my throat and started “the changeling hive relocated closer to Canterlot not to close to be noticed but close enough for us to feed“

September 19 19XX
A changeling with orange eyes and a orange chitinous back, walked out of the queen Arachne's room and into general yang-ti, the Orange changeling let out a squeak of fear as they looked up and saw the general "Hello Black Tiger" the genera's voice was coated with a tang of a Russian accent, Black Tiger seemed to shrink in front of yang-ti "H-hello sir" they then gave a quick salute

"why were you in the queens room?" the general questioned

"she promoted me to Staff Sergeant" Black Tiger quickly answered

"well, staff sergeant get your squad ready." the general said, Tiger looked down at the ground scared?

"Sir I-I don't have a squad to report to" Tiger said with a shaky voice

Yang-ti didn't know how to react to that should he be mad or glad this was all news to him until a captain came in "sir if I may" the changeling said with a favorable voice, the changeling had horns not just the horn like that of a unicorn, it had huge horns that curved in and out.

"Of course you can captain strider" Yang-ti gave Strider the floor.

"Staff sergeant Black Tiger, you are now under control Metal squad" Strider said with a smile? no a smirk.

"C-Captain Strider please don't give me your squad, I'm just a medic sir" Tiger said with a worry voice

"You missed understand, I am still Metal 0-1, you call sign is Metal 0-2" Strider said with Happiness?

Tiger let out a relieved sigh while silently hoping Strider their old friend would listen to them as his friend.
Something shook the hive bringing attention to the three, another and another shaking the hive "Captain go to the front lines, staff sergeant tend to the wounded!"

Tiger ran to the medic tent ready seeing a changeling without its lower jaw and arms "Holy hell what is happening?" They wondered aloud "tiger I'm sending you out to the front lines with ghost and yellow fever" a changeling said as they walked in "aye sir!"

Tiger ran out to the front lines closely followed by ghost and yellow fever and ran into a trench , tiger aimed his M1A1 Carbine at movement outside of the trench "Star!" Tiger yelled, there was no reply "Star!" He yelled again this time there was a reply " I forgot the stupid code word, don't fire!" Tiger lowered his rifle until a light showed up Killing the changeling and wounding Yellow fever "Ghost get yellow fever back to the tent!" tiger said with haste, ghost had to drag Yellow fever away, Tiger made it to Karn and his men who had been cut down to sixteen "Karn we should retreat!" Karn looked at the changeling solider that said that then scoffed "if you want to retreat then go ahead but we need to remove these enemy units, I need six volunteers." tiger stepped forward then five more followed in tiger's steps "are you sure your ready for more action tiger?" Karn asked

"Aye Karn these creatures need to know who they are dealing with." Tiger said simply.

"right then." Karn said,

"Saddle up we are going to kill these rats!" Tiger said

As the war grew dark the squad was cut down to Tiger and Karn but something happened, tiger was ambushed when he and Karn split up, tiger had their Chitin shell removed a frag blew up in their face leaving them horribly scared, "ugh damned rebels" tiger wheeze then pressed into a walkie talkie "S-Strider do you copy, I request a medical evac" tiger waited for a answer which came in the form of Strider running towards tiger.

"What happen?" Strider said with worry,

Tiger was slowly dying of blood lost "Ambush o-of the rebels." Tiger said as strider place a mask over Tiger's mouth, as tiger tried to move they groaned in pain as their exo-skeleton was more then broken in non-vital areas of his body.

"What the hell, how did rebels do this?" Captain Strider asked,

"M67 and multiple bullet wounds" Tiger said with a sort of calmness, the light was quickly fading so Strider cocooned Tiger as a way to keep him alive.

"You still owe me a drink Tiger, hold in there old friend" strider choked on his words, Tiger was Strider's friend even when they were mere grub, tiger's Chitin was slowly healing as was their Exo-skeleton.

Thunderous foot falls were heard half a click from Tiger and Strider's position as twenty or so changelings soldiers were firing upon unseen rebels, "Fall back get to the tent!" One of the changelings cried out as a rebel ran up behind them and pierce through the stomach of one of the changelings, Strider upon seeing twenty of his shot down, most of them were just born a few months ago.

Strider picked up the cocoon Black Tiger was in "Move to the hive!" He barked, as the remaining changelings followed Strider he stopped and threw a frag behind them to hopefully kill the rest of the rebels, the shock wave of the frag woke tiger as they started to move the cocoon was set down in a unfamiliar place.

Tiger's eyes shot around the room, "Easy there" came a voice like strider, Is that Strider? Tiger thought

"S-strider, is that you sir?" Tiger's voice wavered with fear,

"Ye-yea it's me" Strider's voice seemed... faked.

Tiger ear's perked up as they soon realized it was night and the only one awake besides their husband,

Charlin chuckled "you gotten into your story again honey,"

I need to keep a eye on the time Tiger thought to herself, "dear are you alright?" Charlin's voice broke his train of thought,

"Yea... let's get the kids to bed." Tiger's voice trailed off after a while, I can't tell them what actually happened or..... I don't even know, my child's room was decorated in toy soldiers and plushies with a bed one side of the room, one side has more books with less pictures then the other side both sides has the respective kid names.
