Goodness in the wasteland

I open my eyes slowly. Everything was a dusty blur. I blinked a few times, and the world became clearer. There was this... thing... in front of my face. I scrambled away from it on my side. "I won't hurt you." It said, flying closer. My vision was almost fully back, and the thing was clear. It was a flying sphere. "What are you?" I asked, my voice wavering. "A sprite-bot." It answered, it's robotic voice frightened me a bit.
