Time waits for no one, change is inevitable. It's a lesson that the Mane Six learned, and it's a lesson that the Cutie Mark Crusaders must learn as well. Ever since they were foals, the Crusaders wanted to remain together. So determined in fact, that they were able to prevent Scootaloo from moving out of Ponyville.

They're teenagers now, and are completely done with the local Ponyville Schoolhouse. Their school journey isn't over yet though. Apple Bloom is to be home schooled on the farm, Scootaloo is off to Cloudsdale in hopes of strengthening her wings, and Sweetie Belle.. Well, Sweetie Belle is off to a fine boarding school in Manehattan.

Growing into a young adult mare is tough. So many problems, so many tense relations, and so many feelings. Scootaloo isn't too keen on the idea of Sweetie Belle having to separate from the trio. After all, Cloudsdale and Ponyville aren't too far from each other, her and Apple Bloom wouldn't be worlds apart. Having to let go of Sweetie Belle though? The filly she knew wayyyy before Apple Bloom? Off to some grand city that was nothing like Ponyville? It just didn't sit right with her. And these darn unknown teenage hormones sure aren't helping her out one bit.

It's a bittersweet goodbye, especially since the two friends had only gotten closer as they aged, closer than most friends. They both knew it wasn't the end, the two were destined for a partnership alongside Apple Bloom, but it was their last summer together.

All the two adolescent mares wanted to do was cling onto the familiarity they grew accustomed to before everything began to change.
