"They did, but they vanished and no one knows what happened to them." Freya told them as the boat entered the cave. Twilight and Rarity use their magic to light up as to see into the cave. "When the Vixens males vanished, and stags who went into the forest never came back, we sent search parties to look for them. When we found them, the stags were the Vixens play things and we knew we couldn't save them for their magic was stronger than our own."
"Again, would have been nice to know before we came here." Soarin said before they made it to the end of the cave and Freya's eyes went wide when she saw a large statue of a stag she knows.
"By Odin's beard it's a statue of Thor." Freya said in aw.
"Who's Thor?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"He was a mighty warrior whose hammer, Mjölnir could control thunderstorms." Freya told them before she noticed something up ahead. "Wait, there's another statue of a head and I could barely see any writing on the chest." Rainbow Dash decided to give him a little boost by pushing the boat closer to the statue while she flies. The giant statue of the stag holds a sword and a shield and look to be made of gold. When they were close, Freya could see the writing on the chest of the statue and read it out loud. "It reads, 'sacrifice your arms to the center of the water. Awaken again the cradle of the world.'"
"What, do we just throw our weapons into the water?" Spark asked as she was not sounding happy about throwing her sword away.
"And what's this "cradle of the world"?" Twilight asked.
"I think I might know what it is." Freya told them before she took out her ax. "But just to see if it's true..." After her ax was covered in Frost, she threw it as hard as she can in the middle of the water. After a couple of seconds, she hold up her hand to summon the acts back, but something was wrong. "My ax should have been back by now." They then felt the waters began to shift roughly as if something was awakening under the water. They then noticed through a mist around them that something was moving near the mountains before something risen up from the water under them. They all hold on tight to the boat and kept it balanced as to not tip over when something was coming out. Soon they noticed a large shadow hovering over them before something was in front of them. And looked like a closed eye before it opened up to reveal a colossus serpent's eye. "The World Serpent." Freya said in aw before said serpent raised his head up higher to reveal its pure white scales across its body and humongous mouth. Something came out when it's mouth spit and down came Freya's ax onto the boat.
"You know what that thing is?!" Rainbow Dash shouted as Flash, Aqua, and Spark ready their swords just in case. It then spoke in an ancient language, sort of like the Fortress did as well.
"Uh, did you get any of that Twilight?" Flash asked as the serpent was moving to rest his head.
"Kind of, but is a bit harder to make out." She answered before she noticed a bridge and a large building made from black iron and gold while the statue was on top of it. "Hey look at that! That must have been under the water before we woke up the serpent."
"Is that how we can get to Alfheim?" Aqua asked Freya.
"It must be." Freya said as she was a bit unsure. "There's only one way to find out." They then row their way to the large structure to see if it is the way to Alfheim.
Back in the Fortress, both Tempest and Terra are practicing together with Maud. She continued to break the rocks while Tempest clash blades with Terra. "You said you had to train a lot to have your swords choose you." Terra said before blocking an attack. "Where are you from before all this?"
"It's just outside of a question but near the borders of it." Tempest explained as a flip back from Terra's attack. Maud then walked up to them before tapping both their shoulders.
"You think there's a way I could wield one of those swords?" She asked the two of them.
"What makes you think that?" Tempest asked.
"I want to save my sister and protect my family." Maud explained. "Since Twilight told me what happened during the fall of Canterlot, I can't stop worrying about Pinkie Pie and what they're putting her through. If any of them hurts her so bad, I'll do it to them 10,000 times fold."
"You really care for your family, don't you? Terra asked as wrapped his arm around her. "I respect that. I don't know what I would do if anything ever happened to Stone."
"You guys are lucky." Tempest said under his breath.
"What was that?" Maud asked him before Spike came in.
"Guys, we got trouble happening." He told them. "We got three places being hit at once."
"Three at once?" Terra repeated. "Which places?"
"Does it matter if ponies are in danger?" Tempest asked. "I say I take one place will you take the other and then the both of us can take on the third one together well the others get the ponies to safety."
"That's smart. You're taking Sentry's advice?" Terra asked with a brow as Tempest just rolled his eyes. The both of them then ready their swords as their blades glowed, then after Tempest split his one sword in two, rocks gathered in front of Terra as the blade of his sword glowed bright. He then swing at his sword down as Tempest slashed both his and the rocks scattered before they all gathered on him before they burst and he was in his armor as Tempest was in his.
"Let's go!" Both Terra and Tempest said at the same time before Spike showed them where the attacks are happening.
Back with Freya, Twilight, and the others, they made their way towards the dome where the statue was standing on and inside they find nine doors and tree roots on top of the ceiling in the center of the room. "Okay, now which door needs us to this Alfheim place?" Spark asked as what's over to the odd looking table in the middle of the room.
"I honestly have no idea." Freya answered as she looked at the table that is covered in mist and is hollow. "But I do know that the roots above us are the roots of the world tree which connects us to different realms, so we just need to figure out how to use it to get to where we need to go."
"Didn't that book seen anything about how it works?" Rainbow Dash asked after flying down when she checked out the roots.
"It didn't say anything about this." Twilight answered as she looked around the room and noticed there were different color crystals in the front of each of the nine doors. "Perhaps these crystals have something to do with it."
"They must be important if they're in front of the doors." Flash said before he noticed a rune on each of the doors. "Hey Freya, is there a rune for activation or travel?" Freya raised a brow before her antlers lit up and created a rune for travel. The table in front of her then lit up before a small scale replica of the Dome there in and nine gates rise up from the mist on it.
"How did you know that would work?" Aqua asked him.
"Well, since everything in their homeland works around Rune Magic, it would make sense that it would work here as well." Flash told them as they looked at each other and all nodded in agreement. "Now, what's the rune symbol for Alfheim?" Freya smiled as she lit up her antlers again this time as the Rune symbol for Alfheim. Once she signed it on the table, the statue on it started to move to a blue gate before the statue model aimed a beam of light at it. The room they were all in then went dark as roots started to grow over to the blue door and the crystal in front of it floated up in the air.
"What's going on?" Soarin asked as a beam of light hit the crystal and it shined the light towards the symbol on the door. A burst of magic then dispersed across the room as a blue light shine down from the roots. "Do you think it worked?"
"Only one way to find out." Freya said as they walked through the door that the light shined on and came to the small hallway they were before.
"So it didn't work." Rainbow Dash assumed as it was all the same.
"No, something feels different." Twilight said before they reach the door at the end and opened it up. When they did, they were no longer on the bridge they saw when the world serpent woke up. But rather a place filled with many vegetation and a dimly light was covering the sky.
"This is Alfheim? I pictured it a bit more bright." Rarity said before she noticed a few dead bodies that made her jump a bit. "And with fewer corpses." Freya got a good look at the bodies and knew what they are.
"These are the light elves." She told them before she realized what's wrong. "Something is blocking the Light of Alfheim. That's why it's so dim here."
"Which means whoever killed them, is keeping the light from themselves." Spark said as she noticed a large dome out in the distance. "And I've got a hunch that that's where the light of Alfheim is."
"So we need to free the light before we can get some in the lantern." Flash said as he took out his sword. "Be on your guard, whoever killed these elves will still likely be out there." The group made their way towards the dome while their guard was up. They soon came across a small rowboat and knew they had to row the rest of the way. They saw into the distance a couple of white elves being killed by dark elves.
"You think those are who killed the ones we seen near the gate?" Soarin whispered as the two dark elves flew away.
"It's best to avoid them for now." Twilight whispered as they kept their heads down and continue to row. They noticed that there were some light elves that were hiding away as they went along the water towards the dome. "Okay, now we just need to find a way in and free the light." Just when they got off the rowboat, a blast nearly hit them and they looked up to see a few dark elves flying towards them.
"Easier said than done your highness!" Aqua said as she, Spark and Flash slashed their swords and transformed into their armor before clashing weapons with the dark elves when they flew at them. Soarin and Rainbow Dash took flight and did their best to fight the dark elves while some of them land on the ground to fight the others. The dark elves hold spears that shot out dark magic towards them as Twilight and Rarity use their own to block it only for their barrier to be shattered.
They all did what they could to stand their ground, but the dark elves have shown they are strong as they were being pushed back as they clash weapons. Aqua and Spark soon summoned the hook and hedgehog parts of their armor and fought back with needles and wrapped chains around them to get more strikes in. Two of them had their heads chopped off when Freya threw her acts before summoning back and chomping off three more before she caught it. One of them took noticed of Twilight as she stood back to back with Flash. He pointed his spear at her and spoke in their tongue that they couldn't understand but the other dark elves could.
There was only one thing he said in their language. "Faust!!" A few of them then swarm around Twilight and Flash while they ignored the others. Flash and Twilight did all that they could to fend them off before two of them grabbed her by the arms and started to fly away.
"Twilight!!" Flash called out as they were taking her. Flash then slashed his sword in an 'X' and sent it out at a few dark elves. From the trail of flames it left behind, the eagle from before flew out before it and the slash circle around as the flames gathered around him while taking out a few more dark elves. Once the slash and the eagle collided with him, the flames burst and the center of his armor had a red eagle head while the rest was covered in red armor. On his back were red wings which he used to fly after the two dark elves that are taking Twilight.
"Why are they taking her?!" Soarin asked as he and Rainbow Dash slice through five of them. "And what's a 'Faust'?!"
"Don't know, let's just hope Flash will save her!" Aqua said as Flash slashes his way through many dark elves until he reached the two that has Twilight. Twilight tried to wrestle free from their grasp, but no good for they are stronger than they appeared to be. When she blasted one away, another one took its place. Twilight then saw flash flying up as he slashed through five of them before he slashed the one on her right and she blasted the other one on our left.
"Twilight, get behind me!" Flash told her as they hovered in the air. "The rest of you, take cover!!" He shouted to the others as his blade was being covered with flames and the winds started together around him. Flash then gave his sword one powerful slash that it created a tornado of fire that gathered every dark elf around them and fried them to asunder. The others on the ground were holding on to the closest thing they could find as to not get sucked in by the flamenado. Once it has stopped, Twilight and Flash flew down next to the others to regroup.
"You turn them all to ash!" Spark told Flash as she punched his shoulder.
"Not all of them. I have a feeling there's more inside, and inside will probably be like a hornet's nest." Flash theorized.
"He's right." Twilight agreed. "And I have a feeling the ones we just fought were just guards. We need to come up with a plan to get inside and free the light without being killed."
"Well, I did notice a way in from the side right over there." Rarity said as she pointed to a small gap in the walls. "Perhaps we can use that to get inside undetected."
"Good idea." Flash told her. "Okay here's how we're going to do this. Me, aqua, and Sparks will cause a diversion out here to draw their attention while the rest of you go through that gap and find a way to free the light when you're inside."
"Are you sure about this?" Twilight asked, sounding concerned. "Those Dark Elves are really powerful and strong."
"We'll be fine Twilight." Flash told her as he hold both of her shoulders. "Remember, we're doing this to save our homeland. Plus you still have your friends with you, two of them are here with you, and the other three are here in your heart." He pointed towards her heart. "Even your family, Princess Celestia and Luna, every pony who's ever been your friend is there by your side. Your friends will always be your power." Twilight smiled at his words of encouragement before she gave him a hug.
"Thanks Flash, I really needed to hear that." She said before she let go and she, Freya, Rainbow, Rarity, and Soarin went over to the gap Rarity pointed and began to sneak their way inside the dome. Inside they find an odd red substance all over the walls as they were climbing over them and did all that they could to remain quiet. Once they climbed over a few edges and some of the red substance, they made it inside where they find a beam of light being covered by the red substance while dark elves were all over the place.
"Okay, we're inside." Rainbow whispered. "Now what do we do?" They all looked around until Twilight noticed a glowing pillar not far from where they are on the red substance that's covering the place.
"I have a pretty good feeling that thing over there might be a support being that's holding all this red stuff together." Twilight whispered to the others. "All we need to do is take out that one, along with the one below us." She pointed to similar one about a few feet down below them. "Once those things are gone, maybe the red substance will be gone as well and the light will be free."
"And once it is, not only will be able to get some of it, but it will also chase away the dark elves." Freya added. "But once they know this place is collapsing, even with the diversion outside, they'll still come after us. So be on your guard." They all nodded in agreement before they heard an explosion outside. That alone also got the attention of the dark elves and some of them went out to investigate it. With that, they carefully snuck their way over to the glowing pillar as Freya ready her ax as it got covered in frost.
She gave one swing of her ax and once it was stuck into the pillar, it frost over before she pulled back and destroyed it with one mighty swing. After that pillar was destroyed, the red substance they were standing on crumbled down as they fell while the rest of the red substance started to fall apart. Once they had their rough Landing, the rest of the dark elves noticed their presence and started to go after them. Soarin and Rainbow Dash gave the others cover in the air as they fought back while they mean their way to the second pillar. The ground below started to crumble the red substance started to fall apart before they fell and they were near the next pillar.
Twilight and Rarity was giving Freya some cover as she was running towards the next pillar. Freya saw a few of them blocking her way, so she threw her ax and used its magic to swirl around her and chop them down to size. Once they were out of the way, she did the same process she did with the first pillar and gave one mighty swing to destroy the last. Once it was gone, the ground beneath them fell apart and the two pegasi quickly caught them as all the red substance was falling apart. The one that was covering the light soon vanished and the sky turned to a bright blue and all the dark elves scattered.
"We did it!!" Rainbow Dash shouted with excitement as they lowered down to the floor where the light is beaming up into the sky. Once they all were sent down, they saw Flash, Aqua, and Spark come in through the roof but their armors were different. Flash still had the dragon head on his right side, but he didn't have the red eagle head on his chest and instead had the red bracer on his left. Spark had both the oil lamp and the three-headed dog on both sides of her armor. And Aqua has the lion head, the hook and chain, and the pegasus head on her armor. "What's with the cool new looks?"
"Things were getting tough, so we decided to switch things up." Flash answered as he hold up his left arm with the bracer on it. "It turns out this one can summon a red cloud which I can ride on and extend some sort of bo out."
"I got a bit of the power of Cerberus on my side." Spark joked as she looked over her right side of the armor. "As for why Aqua looks like that, we were being overwhelmed and she had the idea of combining all three parts of her armor since we were surrounded by water. And let me tell you this, she was fucking amazing!" She then noticed Twilight wasn't paying attention and was looking at the Light of Alfheim. "Uh, why are you staring into the light?"
"Don't you all hear that?" Twilight asked as they looked at the light but didn't hear anything. "I can hear voices coming from the light." The three chosen swordsstallion and mares transformed out of their armors and Flash's clothes looked a little burnt as Aqua was soaking wet then she was the first time.
"I don't hear anything, darling." Rarity said as Rainbow walked up to the light and put her hand out. The moment she touched the light, there was a bit of sparks before she pulled her hand back.
"Gah! Shit!" Rainbow Dash cursed as she rubbed her hand. "It's too hot, you can't even touch it!"
"How can we get the light in the lantern if we can't touch it?" Soarin asked as the others wondered the same thing. Twilight then let out a sigh before she looked at the others.
"A unicorn's blood can heal it when it's injured." Twilight told them as she holds on to the lantern. "And since I'm an alicorn now, my blood can rapidly heal kill me while I try to get some of the light in it."
"Are you sure Twilight?" Flash asked with much concern.
"I'm positive." She told him before she turned to the light and took a deep breath. "All of you stand back, because I don't know what's going to happen when I try." They did what she asked and took a couple steps back.
"Just be careful Twilight." Freya warned her as Twilight gave a smile in response. She then walked up to the light, hold the lantern by the handle, and reached out with it. Sparks flew when her hand touched it and she pulled back. She wasn't going to give up so she tried again only to end with the same result. Twilight then took the lantern on both sides with both her hands with a look of determination on her face before she shoved the lantern and her arms deep within the light. Twilight screamed in pain as the light burned her arms and it looked like she was being caught up in the light, because she is. The others closed their eyes as the light shined brighter while Twilight was being cut up in it.
Twilight had her eyes closed from the pain the light gave her before she soon felt no pain at all. She opened her eyes and everything was all gray with shadowy areas everywhere. The lantern in her hands floated out of them before it flew away. Twilight chase after it before she noticed she is no longer in Alfheim, but in a field of grass. Twilight could hear crying up ahead where the lantern flew before she saw a colt and a cabin falling down as it was on fire. Twilight walked up to the colt and saw it was a young Flash Sentry crying. "I promise I'll stay strong and become a great royal guard like you, Mom and Dad! " She heard the young Flash's voice everywhere, even though nothing was moving, not even him.
Twilight felt bad for him for she quickly found out that his parents had died in that cabin before she noticed a door opening up made of light as the lantern went through it. Twilight went through the door and she found herself in a large snowy area but felt no cold. She then looked ahead and saw a young Aqua crying her eyes out as she was holding her sword while she sat next to a gravestone. "I wish you were still here mother! I wish I wasn't alone! " She heard the voice of the young Aqua say.
Twilight didn't know how, but she could guess that our family have died when she was so young. Another door of light opened up and she went through it to be in a house made of clouds before she noticed another familiar face crying next to a bed with a stallion on it. This one was Spark Wing and the stallion on the bed she could have guessed is her big brother. "It's not fair! I don't want this! You wanted this since you were young but I don't want you to be sick! " She heard the voice of the young Spark say before another door opened up.
After stepping through it, she caught sights of Terra having a sad look on his face as he stood in front of a grave. Twilight read the engraving on the grave that said, 'R.I.P. Gaia Life' who Twilight guest is his wife. "I promise that I will keep our son safe and protect him with all I got. " She heard his voice from everywhere before another door of light opened before her. She stepped through it and ended up in another place.
The place she then arrived in through the door looked to be an ancient temple meant for training in martial arts. She then noticed a young Tempest up ahead and was crying over a memorial pedestal as he holds the twin swords of Zephyr in his hands. "I...promise you that I will be the strongest warrior that had ever lived. I promise you big bro... " She heard the young Tempest's voice promise. Twilight gave one last look at him before another door appeared in front of her and she went through it.
Twilight then ended up in an unfamiliar place where there was multiple shadows of multiple ponies gathered around as she saw a unicorn mare standing in front of a shadow of a stallion in front of a cage. Because everything was in gray, she couldn't tell what color the mare's coat is but she did have this furious look on her face as she stood her ground and had daggers in her hands. "I won't let you kill somepony who was trying to provide for his family! I'll kill every last one of you if I have to! " She heard the voice of the mare shouted before a door appeared near Twilight as she wondered what was happening here before she went through.
Twilight was then walking along a cliffside with a view of the ocean before she saw a stallion unicorn sitting on the end holding would look to be one of the sacred swords she saw as a statue back at the fortress. The blade in the guard look to be an upside down trident as the stallion looked upset. "Can I even call myself Worthy if I couldn't even protect somepony close to me? Why did you appear to me in the first place? " The voice of the stallion asked as she guessed he was asking the sword before another door appeared before her.
She went through it and she finds two mares in the middle of a forest looking upset. One that looked like Luna was holding a severed horn that she recognized very well. It was the horn of King Sombra as this mare clutched it tight in her hand. "I wish I was like everypony else, like mother. But how can I when I have you in my veins?! " Twilight heard the voice of that mare before she turned to the other one who had two horns on her head, multiple foxtails, and lion pause for her hands and hooves.
"I wish I didn't look like this at all. I wish I was born normal and not a freak of nature! " She heard that mare's voice. As Twilight made her way to the door that appeared before her, she wondered why she is seeing all this and if there's any way she can help them. She then entered the doorway and up ahead was the lantern floating in front of a large temple that looked as old as the Fortress Elysium. The lantern then shine bright as a figure appeared in place of the lantern and a holding a sword Twilight saw in her dream.
"Who are you?" She asked this figure before it reached out its hand to her. Twilight didn't know why, but she felt like she met this figure before as her hand was moving on its own reaching out to the figure's. Just when she was close to grabbing the hand, she felt something grab her and tuck her back. Twilight trying to fight it, but it felt strong before she was being pulled out. "NO!"
Flash and Twilight fell back on the ground as he pulled her out of the light. "NO! NONONONO!! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!?!?!" She yelled at him.
"You were in there for a long time, I had to pull you out!!" Flash shouted back with a mix of fear and concern.
"What are you talking about?! I was in...there...for..." Twilight's words got caught in her throat when she noticed he was in his armor and she looked around. There were bodies of dead dark elves all around them and piles as the others looked like they were out of breath. "H-How long was I in there for?"
"For ten whole hours!" Rainbow shouted as she kicked the dead bodies. "You were in there for ten hours!" She then flinched in pain before she brought her left wing over and Twilight could see a cut on it.
"R-Rainbow, your wing." Twilight said with worry.
"I'm fine, they just clipped my wing a little." Rainbow Dash told her. "Did you get the light in the lantern?" Twilight then remembered before checking and holding up said lantern filled with the Light of Alfheim. "Good, now we can get out of here." Twilight noticed that the bridges of light that connected the room across each gap around them. They didn't see anything as they were walking towards the exit and Twilight felt like she needed to say something.
"Look, I'm sorry for being in there for too long." She told them. "I thought I was only in there for ten minutes or so. I'm sorry if I mean you won't feel like I abandon you."
"We're not upset, Twilight." Freya told her. "We were worried that you might have died in there. Your land already had three of its princesses enslaved, it doesn't need to lose a fourth."
"What exactly did you see that darling?" Rarity asked as they made it to the exit.
"Well, I--" Before she could tell them, the door opened up and a few light elves were coming in. One of them stopped in front of Twilight and gave a bow before speaking in their tongue. They couldn't understand what she was saying before she said the one word and their own language.
"Faust." The light elf said with a bow. She then brought her hand up and gently touched Rainbow Dash's wing as her hand glowed. When she lifted her hand, the cut on Rainbow's wing was gone before she brought up Twilight's and Rarity's arms before placing gauntlets on them. Both gauntlets had blue gems and the engraving looked like unicorns as well. The light elf then gave about them before going inside with the rest.
"She just called you Faust too." Aqua told Twilight. "I wonder what this Faust is?" Twilight then realized something.
"Maybe Faust isn't a what, but a who." Twilight said, making the others look at her with wonder. "Well I was in there, I saw the lives of each of yours." She said as she looked Flash, Aqua, and Spark before she began to tell them what she saw in the light but the others. She then told them about the alicorn figure she saw before Flash pulled her out. "Maybe this Faust is an ancient alicorn that existed long before any of us were born, probably even Celestia and Luna."
"And you think that you both look alike?" Soarin asked as they all wondered the same thing.
"We'll think about that later, if I was in there for like ten hours, which means we need to hurry and get back to finding Mimir." Twilight reminded before they went on their way back to the gate. A pathway was suddenly in front of the dome back to the beach where the gateway is. As they walked along the pathway, Twilight couldn't help but think of the figure she saw in the light. Especially about the sword the figure was holding, as it looked like it was made out of a galaxy itself with a sun like symbol near the guard. They soon reached the end of the pathway and was walking through the forest to the rowboat they used before a blast nearly hit them.
They turned to see a dark elf but it looked much larger than the others. It had three horns on its head, its spear had three cooling gemstones, and its armor looked like it was royalty. This dark elf shouted in his native tongue as he pointed his spear at them with rage. This dark elf then launched himself towards them and before he hit the ground, they scattered as a burst of energy dispersed when his spear struck the ground. "Something tells me that this is the dark elves leader, and he's not too happy about what we did!" Soarin said they all got into a fighting position.
Flash, Aqua, and Spark quickly slashed their swords just as the dark elf king charged at them and clashed weapons when their armors appeared. They were then pushed back as he turned and swung his spear at them that caused a slash wave to me sent right at them. Twilight quickly teleported in front of them and put up a barrier that shattered when the wave hit. She stumbled back from that attack before Flash grabbed her and the other two charged right at the king. Flash saw that the bracelet the light of gave her and Rarity started to glow.
Both bracelets glowed bright before weapons appeared in their hands. Rarity was holding on to a rapier as Twilight holds a sword. The king then launched himself towards them and clash blades with all three of them. Both Twilight's sword and Rarity's rapier glowed bright before a bright light repelled him back. Rarity's bracelet glowed again before her rapier transformed into a bladed bow with a glowing string on it. As Spark and Aqua clashed blades with the king, Rarity pulled back on the string and a glowing arrow appeared. As the king knocked the two back, Rarity released the string and launched the arrow. The arrow itself glowed bright as it flew in the air before multiple arrows appeared and struck the king multiple times.
As the dark elf king was stunned by the multiple arrows in his body, the others then gave a few strikes with their own weapons before he unleashed a dark wave that sent them back. He then flew up in the air and charge towards Twilight, ready to stab her. Flash quickly got in front and blocked the attack before Twilight quickly jumped over them and slashed the king in the back of a few times. Freya then through her ax at his feet and froze the ground along with his feet so he can't fly away. Flash, Aqua, and Spark then powered up their swords as Rarity's blade bow and Twilight's sword glowed bright. They all then pulled back and gave powerful slashes that struck the dark elf king. The dark elf king roared in pain before he exploded and was gone for good. All I was left of him was his spear which Freya picked up.
"That...was...AWESOME!!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed excitedly as she flew in the air.
"That light elf must have gave us these bracelets for protection." Twilight assumed as their weapons disappeared and the armors on the three others vanished.
"They're both stylish and a functional." Rarity said as she marveled at her bracelet.
"Okay, now let's get out of here before something else tries to kill us." Sprak said as she hopped on the boat. They all agreed and made their way back to the gateway.
Once they returned back to their own realm, they made their way across the bridge that is conveniently in the direction of the mountain they need to climb. Once they went through the doorway that came across, they noticed a lift that looked like it would take them to up to the mountain. "Huh, well that's convenient." Soarin said before they took the lift up.
"Hey Freya, do you think those crafting caribou of yours can make those cool bracelets?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Because I want one of my own."
"Now that we have the light of Alfheim, we'll see what they can do." She told her before the lift stopped and up ahead they saw a cave that looked like a face with dark shadowy mist in its mouth. Once they reached the cave, they couldn't see anything through the darkened mist. "Okay, time to see if the light will work." Twilight nodded before she grabbed the lantern and hold it up.
The slowly walked into the mist as the light inside the lantern glowed bright. After a big shine from it, a part of the mist vanished as they walked in deeper into the cave. After a couple of more shines from the lantern, the dark mist completely vanished and they could see clearly now as a big door was right in front of them.
"This must be the way up the mountain." Aqua assumed before she, Twilight, and Freya used their magic to slowly open the door. Once it was fully opened, they saw a pathway going up and knew that it was the way to Mimir at the top. As they need their way up, they had to fight their way through a few droggers and number of other creatures they came across. Twilight and the others can see why the Caribou are the way they are if things like what they fought live in their homeland.
"How much farther is it to the top?!" Both Rainbow and Spark asked as they were annoyed with all the creatures they were fighting.
"It's hard to tell." Twilight said before they heard a roar echoing through a mine they came across. "And I'm pretty sure that doesn't sound friendly." They soon came across a large area with a stone door up ahead. Flash slowly approached the door and just when he was about to open it, it burst open and he flew back with his wings. What burst through is a cave troll with a giant stone mallet on its shoulder.
"This place has a cave troll." He said before he, Aqua, and Spark transformed into their armors as the others got ready to fight. The troll roared before it leap towards them and brought up its mallet. The group scattered before it slammed its mallet on the ground. Aqua use the chainhook to grab hold of its right arm as Flash and Twilight slashed it a few times before Freya threw her ax right at its eyes. The troll then roared before he swung his mallet and knock them all back. Rainbow Dash and Soarin quickly flew and caught them before they could hit the wall. Rarity was running circles around it as she was firing arrows as fast as she could while the others recovered.
Spark then bring down electricity on the troll with flying spikes right at the troll. Flash then used the bo that extended out from his left arm to whack the troll a few times before Twilight and Freya fired powerful magical beams at its feet. Once it was kneeling, Rainbow and Soarin grabbed a chain and flew around it as they wrapped it around its neck. Aqua then unleashed a powerful stream of water that pushed the troll back until it stepped over an edge and fell. The chain around its neck was choking as it was hanging before it snapped and it fell to its death. The group then took a moment to take a breath as they gave it everything to kill it. "I...hate...adventures." Rarity panted.
Once the group had caught their breath, they continued on their way to the peak of the mountain as they traveled deeper within the mine of the mountain. As they walked along a path, something caught Freya's eye before she ran over to a open room. The others wondered what caught her interest as they followed her and saw a bunch of skeletons of not just the caribou, but a few deers as well. The site of skeletons along the floor and small steps was shocking and wondered what killed them if they made it past that troll. Freya was most shocked at all of them as her own kind and some deers are dead and looked like they've been here for almost decades.
Twilight then noticed some writing on the walls and she used her magic to carefully translate the writing before she began to read it. "The fool had sent beasts after us when we found out what he did. He wanted to make sure we wouldn't expose him for the fraud that he is. We cannot get, out we cannot escape, his beasts have blocked the way out." The others had looks a concerned when she read the text. "The fool had cursed the caribou and has made our cousins go at war with each other. If anyone has found this, tell the truth of what has happened, tell that D--." She stopped when there was no more to read.
"They must have died from either starvation or the monsters I got them before they could finish." Flash said. "You going to be okay Freya?"
"I don't know..." She answered before she got off her knees and stood back up. "Let's just go and find Mimir." They soon continued their way up until they were blinded by a bright light as they made it out of the mine and the peak of the mountain was just up ahead.
"Finally, he reached the summit." Soarin said with a sigh in relief. "Now let's go and meet this guy." They got closer and saw that they have to climb their way up as they found out they can't fly or use magic to get up there. As they carefully climbed around, they can hear two voices and one of them is very familiar.
"I'll ask you again, where did these swords that has the power to destroy what I'm trying to build come from?!" They heard the voice of Dainn shout.
"Dainn? What's he doing here?" Twilight whispered before they heard another voice.
"And I'll tell you once more if you don't let go of the past and let Freya remove your cycle, you'll end up killing us all!" They heard someone shout. "And if you're not going to listen, then I'm done talking to you! Now take your insane believes and shove them up your ass!"
"When I'm done with Equestria, coming for your other eye." They heard Dainn threatened whoever he was talking to before they heard what sounded like a teleportation spell.
"How did he teleport out of here?" Rainbow asked.
"He must have used chaos magic to do it." Twilight theorized before they climbed up and found that the top of the mountain was not covered in stone and was warm. "This is amazing."
"Ah, speak of the devil themselves." They turned to see a caribou stag with a white beard, one eye that is black with a glowing yellow pupil, and his body is trapped within a tree. "I was wondering when all of you will show up. Although I thought some of you would be taller."
"You...you're Mimir." Freya said aw when she saw him.
"And you are the second Queen of the Caribou." Mimir responded with a smile. "As well as a Wonderbolt, three of The Elements of Harmony, and three chosen wielders of the sacred swords. You all are indeed in the presence of Mimir, if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer."
"What did you mean when you call Freya the second Queen of the caribou?" Spark asked. Mimir open his mouth before he thought it over.
"Okay there may be a few gaps in the knowledge, but I'm still all knowing." He admitted.
"Why was Dainn here in the first place?" Rarity asked him.
"He wanted to know about the secret swords you all are wielding." Mimir answered. "He wanted to know about their origins so he can create one of his own. But I told him that is not important. I told him that suppressing his Cycle would only make its destination spread across the world."
"He's suppressing his Cycle?!" Freya asked with anger and shock. "Is that buffoon trying to kill us all?!"
"Let's focus on why we're here first." Flash reminded before you walked up to Mimir. "We're here for your help to convince the deers to join in our fight against him. But in order to do that, will need you to help bring compromise between them and the Caribou that are with us."
"We can convince other creatures like the Griffins and the minotaurs, but we need your help with the deers." Twilight added. "And maybe you can help us with our plan on attacking Canterlot and saving as many ponies as we can." Mimir looked at her with a confused look.
"You mean you don't know, sister?" He asked.
"Know what?" She asked. Mimir stayed quiet for a moment before he gave a small smile.
"That's not important right now." He said before you look to the others. "You all came to the right place. I believe I can help you with the deers, and there might be something that could help you with your Canterlot plan."
"Sweet! So what do we got to do first?" Soarin asked.
"First you need to cut off my head." Mimir quickly responded.
"Wait, what?" The others were just as confused and shock as Soarin.
"A quick question, why in Tartarus would we do that?!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
"You see this weapon that you need for when you attack Canterlot and save ponies is going to have a few tests and while you're there getting it, I will be at your stronghold to make the plans." Mimir told them. "There's one problem, Odin had enchanted this tree so that no one would be able to free my body from it. But lucky for you you don't need my body, you just need to find a way to reanimate my head and everything should be smooth sailing from there."
"Are you sure you want that?" Freya asked with worry. "Isn't there another way?" Mimir looked down with a sad look.
"I've been tortured you know, by Odin and many others." He told them before he raised his hand to look at them. "This, this isn't living sister." They have felt sorry for him for they have no idea how long he's been up here and how long has he have been suffering.
"Okay..." Freya spoke up as she took out her ax. "I'll do it."
"Oh dear, I can't watch this." Rarity said as she turned away and covered her eyes.
"Ah, the leviathan ax." Mimir said when he laid eye on it. "A family heirloom to Laufey the Just. And now that I think about it, the very first Caribou Queen was your ancestor a long time ago."
"I would love to hear the story about that, but we have more pressing matters to deal with." Freya reminded him. Rarity kept her eyes closed as the others watched as she swung her ax and chopped up his head with a few vines. She wrapped the vines around his antlers before picking it up. "Now, let's see what the library back in the Fortress has to helped us revive him." The others felt uncomfortable as she carried the head and felt like it's going to be a long walk down the mountain.
"When are they coming back?!" Angi asked in a very concerned tone as she paced around the library.
"They'll be back. We just need to be patient with them." Durin told her as he was reading a book.
"Yeah, except that Terra is injured because we fell right into their trap and now Tempest is facing off against that thing in Las Pegasus!" Angi shouted. "We both know he won't last long out there by himself!" A doorway opened up before Freya and the others came through. "Finally! It's about time you all got--" She then noticed the head of Mimir Freya is holding. "WHAT THE FUCK?!"
"Go get Zecora and we'll tell you everything we went through." Twilight told her as she went to find some books. Angi asked Dainna to go fetch Zecora while the others told them what happened while they were out. Starting from what happened in Alfheim to the trip up the mountain. They even told Dainn was there and everything. Once Zecora was brought to the library and Twilight found a few books on how to resurrect. The two were working on it for a couple of hours as the shoved a few odd things in the heads nose all while a pot filled with a potion was being boiled over a flame.
"I can't believe we're reviving a head of an ancient stag from a long time ago." Zecora said as she uncomfortable about what they're doing. "Okay, now what should we do next?"
"It says that we need to submerge the head in the potion." Twilight said before she used her magic lift up the head from the vines and and submerged it in the pot. After a couple of seconds, there was babbling in the pot, so she quickly pulled it out and Mimir was spitting out the things they put in his mouth.
"I really didn't think being resurrected would taste very awful." Mimir said before she sat his head on the table. "Aw the library of Equine and the world. This is perfect for planning."
"There's something you should know first." Durin spoke up. He told them about how there was three places being hit at once by a Magivore that looks like a basilisk but with a cobra hood. It was odd how three places was attacked at the same time by the same monster. But after two of them have been destroyed, they found out that they have been two Trojans that made the third one get bigger in both strength and size. The third one had became a towering colossus when Terra and Tempest saw it. They fought it off as best as they could for the others to get everypony to safety, but Terra got injured by the monster and Tempest used the same move Flash used against him to create a diversion while he got Terra out of there. He stayed behind in hopes of tiring out the monster. "Right now Terra is being treated and Tempest won't last long."
"Then it's a good thing we're back." Spark said as she draw out her sword.
"Then while you three go help Tempest, Twilight will go and retrieve the weapon I told you all about." Mimir said. "The Kingexcalibur."
"Kingexcal-what?" Rainbow asked.
"Kingexcalibur." Mimir corrected. "It's an ancient and powerful weapon used by the first unicorn king long before Celestia, Luna, or Star Swirl the Bearded were even born. I may not remember what kind of power it has, but I do know where it is hidden."
"Okay, where is it?" Flash asked as the rest listened in.
"It's in a limbo plane and the only way to get there is by a special door near the edge of Equestria." Mimir answered. "Once you passed through, you must pass a test that the door presents to you. When you passed the test, the sword will present itself."
"But why only me?" Twilight asked.
"Because I can tell that you are troubled. The test will help you get over what is troubling you." Mimir told her. "And one more thing, you don't find the door when you're at the border of Equestria, the door will call out to you."
"Okay." Twilight said before she looked at the others. "You three go help Tempest and the rest of you go get help from the griffins and the minotaurs."
"I will give you some advice on how you can get them to help." Mimir said. "Now, where you can find the door is simple."
Twilight soon came to the border of Equestria as Mimir instructed. The place was a deep forest with crystals growing out of the ground. "Bridlewood Forest. This looks nicer than I thought it'd be." She said to herself. "Now where's that door?" She tread carefully as she looked around for the door to Kingexcalibur. After what seemed like hours of searching to her, she sit down on a log as she couldn't find the door. She then felt like something was calling out to her before she noticed the crystals were glowing like they were showing her the way.
Twilight followed the glowing crystals as she felt like they were showing her the way. As Twilight followed them, the corruption inside of her appeared next to her as she walked along. "You're wasting your time you know. That bodyless stag probably just sent you on a wild goose chase." Twilight didn't respond to the corruption as she continued to follow the trail. "Oh, you're ignoring me? You still think I'm a corruption? What if I'm just the you that you hide away that enjoys being used? Face it, you'll never be able to beat them. So just give in and--"
"Go over to that door? I can agree more." Twilight told her corruption as there was a wooden door surrounded by stones up ahead. Twilight ran up to the door but couldn't find any doorknobs to open it. The stones around it then glowed to show writing and she guessed that their clues on to how to open it or something.
To open and retrieve what's inside, one must open one's heart and endure the ride. Face your fears that frightens you the most, the ones that you never boast. After facing your fear and you retrieved the item within, only unity and trust can unlock the power the item has. Nothing thin can truly be the key.
Twilight was confused by this before the door itself began to glow bright. She was blinded by said light for about a few seconds before it died down. When she could see again, she found herself no longer in the forest but in the ballroom of Canterlot Castle. She was on the stage and she saw around her many stallions and Caribou Stags raping mares around her. Twilight was shocked to be here before she noticed herself had changed as well. Twilight however caught it with her other hand and gripped both the hammer and his hand tight as she glared at him.
"I know for a fact that Chrysalis never wanted to be enslaved by all the runes that's all over her body and controlled her!!" She shouted as her grip on the hammer and his hand grew stronger. "I bet that Discord rejected helping you so you stole his magic!!" Dainn had a look of pain and fear as she was crushing his hand and cracks began to form on the hammer. "Well guess what, I will never submit to you!! Because I made a promise to the stallion I love with all my heart!!" The five swords began to glow bright as Twilight was glowing brighter. Twilight opened her eyes and saw that she was no longer in character a lot and her clothes were back on. Her horn was still attached to her and her wings were perfectly fine. She noticed that her hands were on the door and they have opened it, which means she passed the test. She was happy that she did that she didn't notice her corruption looked a bit dehydrated and weakened a little as she walked through the door. Twilight walked down a narrow hallway until she spotted a sword hovering above a pedestal up ahead.
"Kingexcalibur." She said in aw as she walked closer to it. She then grabbed hold of the handle and could sense the power it has just by holding it. Twilight then got an idea on how to unlock its full power and it's not just going to be hard to do it. Twilight then ran out of the hallway with a sword and used her wings to take off.
Meanwhile in Las Pegasus, Flash and the other three swordsponies were having a hard time with the Basilisk Magivore since it was at least 100 ft tall. Spark used her hedgehog needles to fire at its legs to slow it down while Aqua used the chain to hold its arm back. "You fools can't stop me!!" The Magivore shouted as he grabbed the chain to swing Aqua before throwing her at Spark.
"You both okay?!" Flash asked them after the two crash into a wall.
"Define okay...?" Spark groan.
"I'm just glad you guys came, but we need a miracle to beat this thing!" Tempest said as the monster brought up his foot to crush them. Just when he was about to brought it down, a beam of magic blasted in the face causing him to step back. The others looked up and saw Twilight flying in with Kingexcalibur in hand.
"Your highness, you're back!" Aqua said as she and Spark stumble to stand up.
"And you got the sword!" Flash said as he noticed it in her hand. "Do you know how to use it?"
"I have, but I need each of your help." She answered as she pointed to each of them. "Tempest, you and Spark attack from above! Aqua, use your water to blind him while me and Flash attack him from below!" They each nodded in agreement before they spread out to do what she said. Aqua stood between three fountains and used her sword to command the water to blast it in the face. The monster was blinded by the blast of water, Flash, Spark, Tempest, and Twilight begin to leap and slash their swords at him and did some damage.
"Gah!! Don't think these tiny attacks will do anything!!" The Magivore shouted as balanced himself. "And you alicorn bitch! I will take you to my king and put you in your rightful place!"
"I already know my place!" Twilight shouted at the Magivore. "I am Princess Twilight Sparkle! The Princess of Friendship! And I made a promise to never give up, even when things seem dark!! The first unicorn king never gave up when he wielded the sword and he trusted his fellow unicorns that fought by his side!" She hold up the sword high. "So even if you capture me, I will never submit to you! And this land will never be yours! Because I believe that Flash, Freya, my friends will stop you to the very end!" The others who are with her on the field and back in the Fortress all agreed with her as the sword began to glow bright.
Kingexcalibur then flew out of her hands and once it was high in the sky, it started to grow in size until it was the same size as the monster. It then transformed and amazed everyone who watched into something they never seen before in their lives, a Giant Warrior.
"What the?! You think this makes a difference?!" The Magivore shouted as he swung his blade at the warrior. The warrior easily blocked the attack before punching him in the stomach. He then grabbed it by the tail and swing him into the air before the warrior jumped high with giant sword in hand. Before anyone can know it, the Giant Warrior brought down its sword and destroyed it with one strike. Once it was destroyed, the Warrior shrunk down to their size and kneel down before Twilight.
Once the return to the Fortress, every pony and caribou were amazed by what they just saw and everything. Terra even congratulate them on their victory as he was healed up quickly thanks to the Fortress and its amazing healing magic the doctors discovered. "All right! All right, we have more important matters to deal with!" Mimir spoke up. "It's time together all the help we can get, and it may take about a few weeks! But if we focus and do everything right, we'll be triumphant in the end!"
They all agreed and they all prepared for the coming battle. Twilight went with Mimir to discuss the plan until all the deers have arrived. The swordsponies and Maud were walking to the training area to stay in shape until she stopped and looked off in the distance. "Hey Maud, what's wrong?" Flash asked when he noticed she stopped.
"It's nothing." Maud answered. "I thought I heard something call out to me." Deep, deep, deep within Fortress Elysium, where glowing cubes were being rearranged and powering everything in the Fortress, lies a pool of mana. Within the pool is a sword that is pink with a black blade and a light blue emblem on it.

The Rescue Attack and the Sound of Victory
As a village was under attack by the caribou under Dainn's control, Starlight Glimmer was running through the mountains with Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Double Diamond, and Night Glider as they were trying to outrun a few Caribou Stags that are following them. Starlight Glimmer had given back everyponies cutie marks when she learned of their true intentions, but only the four ponies that are with her were willing to fight back.
Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Double Diamond, and Night Glider used their special talents to slow them down and get farther away from them as best as they could as the group was trying to make it towards a cave entrance then lend to underground caves that could lead to anywhere. Starlight used a bit of her magic to help a bit as they were coming close to the cave. Just when they got close, a few Trojans appeared in front of the entrance and block them off. All five of them were surrounded on both sides and seemed hopeless. "Listen to me." Starlight whispered to the other four. "I'm going to cause a magic blast that will temporarily blind them, once that happens, you four go into the cave and get out of here."
"What?! No!" Double Diamond told Starlight. "You're not giving yourself up to them."
"There has to be another way." Sugar Bell told but Starlight just shrug them off.
"It was my mistake to take everyponies cutie mark and thinking they didn't need them." Starlight told them. "And because of it, they couldn't fight back. You for however wanted your cutie marks back and helped me try to get away. I have to atone for what I have done."
"Even so, you don't deserve to be a slave to those sexist jerks." Night Glider told her.
"Yeah, we're sticking together no matter what!" Party Favor told her before five or six Caribou Stags approached them. One of them is the general that led the attack on their village.
"None of you are going anywhere." The general told them before he looked at the three mares. The three mares glared at him before the two stallions stood in front of them. "Final warning you two, if you don't hand over those three sluts, you become switched and be cock sleeves like them."

The five ponies then saw a armored stallion with a brace on his left arm, a red eagle head on his chest, and a dragon head on his right shoulder. The armor then vanished in a gulf of flames before they saw Flash Sentry wearing red and yellow clothing that looked like it was made out of a light metallic fiber of some kind. "Who are you?" Starlight asked the stallion with the red sword.

"My name is Flash Sentry and I was sent here to save your village and you." He explained to them. "By the way, if you're wondering if they're dead. The ones that look like that had runes burned off of them are still alive while commander is dead."
"Well why aren't you going to kill them?" Party Favor asked as they regain consciousness but then noticed the Stags were looking confused as they looked around.
"Because they're victims like your village and others." Flash explained before a Gateway of light opened up next to him. "If you come with me, everything will be explained."
At Fortress Elysium, Flash Sentury showed them around once they stepped through the gateway and they were amazed at what they were seeing around them. The ponies from the village were there and they shot Starlight a glare for lying to them for so long. Flash told her that he'll show her to Princess Twilight soon. But what really amazed them are the many caribou, Griffins, and minotaurs that are there with them now.
Flash explained that after a few weeks, they've gathering allies for a plan that they have but will let Twilight explained. They soon saw others like Rainbow Dash and Rarity wearing new clothing like Flash is. The also saw the other swords stallions and mares when they pass by them. Soon the group reached the library where they saw Princess Twilight wear a bright violet metallic fiber clothing that showed off her curves but looked strong enough to defend her and fight back.
Clothing itself was resembling Twilight's cutie mark as she had two braces on her arms and hooves. "Flash, you're back." She said before she noticed the group behind him. "Are these from that village that was attacked."
"We are." Starlight spoke up as she and the others bow down to her. "I am Starlight Glimmer. These are Party Favor, Sugar Belle, Double Diamond, and Night Glider and we are honored to be in your presence your highness."
"Thank you, but please call me Twilight." She told them. "I don't like to be formal or anything like that." They were surprised that a royal doesn't like to be formal before they stood up. "Now, tell me everything that happened before your village was attacked." Starlight then began to explain how she took over and took the Cutie Marks of every ponies in that village and told them that they didn't need it. She then told them how one of the Caribou told her that she can make the rest of Equestria like that Village if she becomes their kings personal pet. Once she found out what they meant by that and refused, she tried to give every pony their cutie mark back and have them fight back but it was for not. She then explained why she did all of it from her childhood when she lost her friend when he got his cutie mark and she didn't. She then told them how he went to Celestia's school for gifted unicorns and never saw him again.
"Starlight, we're so sorry." Sugar Bell told her with sympathy.
"Perhaps you can start over." Twilight suggested with a smile on her face as Starlight looked at her with surprise. "You can make new friends and learn about friendship by that. It's just how I was taught the magic of friendship. You can start by helping us when this battle." Starlight looked down for a sec as she thought it over before she looked up at Twilight and tears started to run down her face before she gave Twilight a hug.
It wasn't long before Twilight gave each of the group their own group to help out around the Fortress. Night Glider was working with Rainbow Dash who wearing the same material as Twilight but it had her cutie mark instead, and the rest of the Wonderbolts. Party Favor and Sugar Bell was helping with the food rations and preparing any meals and keeping everyone bright spirit. Double Diamond was to help with any refugees escape any trouble with his expert skiing. Twilight, Flash, and Starlight were making their way towards the meeting room where the caribou and the deer are trying to make peace.
"So this Mimir head thing is supposed to help with their little feud or something?" Starlight asked as the three walked to the room where the negotiation is happening.

"And I'm sure that he's got them getting along right about now." They then saw a room filled with both Caribou Stags and does shouting at some deer Stags and does. "Or not..."

"A silent spell to make them start arguing, yes." Starlight answered with the utmost confidence. "Now you can tell them what you want to say."
"Thanks." Twilight said before she cleared her throat before she looked upon both sides. "King Aspen and Queen Freya, this peas conference was supposed to bring peas to both your kind. Now, I'm going to have Starlight bring back only both your voices and we're going to talk this out like reasonable creatures. Do you understand?" Aspen glared at Freya as she cleared back before they both looked at Twilight and gave a simple nod. "Good. Starlight." Starlight lit up her horn and gave back the voices of both rulers.
"You barbarians shouldn't even be allowed to some hoof in Equestria!" Aspen shouted at Freya.
"You tree huggers don't know what's it like to live in a place where you have to survive!" Freya shouted back.
"What did she just tell you!" Flash shouted. "Freya, tell them what we found in that mine in your homeland when we went to get Mimir."
"I did!" Freya retorted. "I told him about how we found both caribou and deer in that mine and how someone whose name starts with the letter d was the one who separated us in the first place!"
"You say that your people has changed, yet a stag by the name of Dainn has attacked and dethroned Celestia and Luna! As well as corrupted both Princess Cadance and an ancient artifact!" Aspen exclaimed. It wasn't long before the two of them started to shout at each other and Twilight let out a sigh as she could tell this was going to take a while. Starlight then stepped up and took away their voices again before looking at them with a serious look.
"I don't what it was that caused both your kinds to be divided this way that you hate each other's guts, but it seems we all have a common goal." She told them. "It's Dainn. He wants to enslave all of us! He wants to make all females sex slaves all while he enslaves the males by brainwashing them to think that being stronger is better! We all know that's wrong!" Both Twilight and Flash nodded their heads in agreement while Mimir gave a promising smile. Starlight then turned to the deers. "Right now you have two choices. She then gave back both their voices and Aspen thought about it for a moment before he stood up.
"Very well, we will help you but under one condition." He spoke up in a demanding voice. "When we stop Dainn and free Equestria, we want you Caribou to leave and never come back!" Freya had a stone cold look on her face before she stood up and put out her hand.
"Fine, we will agree to leave Equestria for good once we stop Dainn." She said before Aspen took her hand and they shook and looked like they were trying to break each other's hands.
"Well, at least they're agreeing to help us." Starlight said in a positive tone before Twilight tapped her shoulder.
"For a mare who created a spell to take away cutie marks and make every pony equal, it's got a real knack for negotiation and stuff." Twilight complemented.
"I'm sorry, but did you just say she made a spell that can take away anypony's cutie mark?" Mimir asked as he thought for a moment then got an idea for the attack. "Who the hell are they?" Dainn asked.
"Let me see." He turned to see Shining Armor but looking a bit on the gray side as he walked to him. Once Dainn handed him the periscope, Shining looked through it but didn't recognize the other four ponies, but he did recognize Flash. "That's Flash Sentry. A royal guard that was assigned to protect my cunt sister. And there's something else too." He looked closer and saw the swords that they have. "My king, it's them. The armored ponies that have been stopping you from showing Equestria at the light."
"Well, what are you waiting for then?!" Dainn shouted with so much rage. "Send some soldiers down there and capture them!"
"Wait!" Vestri called out as he approached them. "It can't be that simple. If you say that's them, why are they just standing out in the open like that? We could be walking right into their own trap." Thorax then walked over to them.

"What is taking them so long?" Tempest asked as he was tapping his hoof and wait for something to happen. "You think they would have send a platoon at us by now."
"I'm actually with him for once." Sparks said as she looked around. "I mean they can see us with our swords and we're waving Equestria's flag."
"We just need to stick to the plan." Flash told the two. As they waited a bit longer, Aqua noticed a fly buzzing around them and noticed something odd about it. She looked closer at the fly and noticed a certain shine in its eyes before she used her sword to splash said fly and send it to the ground. The flying was then engulfed in green flames as it transformed back into a changeling.
"How did you--" The Changeling asked before rocks formed around it by Terra.
"I suggest that you don't move, otherwise we're going to splat you like the bug that you are." Terra told him.
"I have read in the library that changelings have a hive mind that lets them communicate from far off. Aqua told the others. "If they can't get the message from where we are, we'll just send it through one of them." Flash then walked up to the changeling and took out a sword and put it against its throat.
"Patch us through thorax and let him know what you want to say to." Flash told him. The changeling gulped as he had his eyes glowed a little before he looked at them.
"I have them." The Changeling told them. "Say what you want to say to them."
"Good." Flash said before he gave an serious look. "Dainn, we know what you really are. Who you really are. The true ruler of the caribou told us everything and we're here to show you we're not afraid of you and to show everypony here in Canterlot that you are not who you say you are. Princess Twilight has ordered us to come here to send a message and free as many as we can. You can try and stop us, but that will only make what we were sent here to do that much easier. Oh but don't be afraidy cat, we're not here for you just yet. That time will come and it will be Princess Twilight who will take you down herself." The others gave a confidence smile as they agree to what he was saying. "So, this first one is on the house." Flash then slashed the changeling and his entire body glowed as the runes on his body was burning away before he was free from Dainn's control.
"We suggest that you get out of here." Sparks told the changeling as Terra removed the stones. "Because things are about to get a little heated up around here." Each of them ready their swords as the changeling turned into a hawk and flew away. Each of them had stood their ground and their blades of their swords glowed bright before they all heard a big boom from the sky. Then came down the Kingexcalibur Warrior that landed behind them and it's ginormous form. The loud crash caused everyone, both caribou and pony come out of their homes to see what it was.
"NOW, CHARGE!!!" Flash shouted as all five of them charged right into the city and slashed their swords. The elements of each sword gathered around them before their slash marks returned back to them and they were in their armors. Flash and aqua had all three parts of their armor on, as well as Sparks who is in a golden armor as they charge. Each pony and caribou that they pass by, they slash with their swords and free them from the spell that they are under.
Sparks used her powered up speed to enter the homes and continued attacking and freeing those inside. Tempest used the wind power to move just as fast and slashed each one they that he passed. Terra use the power of the earth to lock the ones who tried to run away in place before slashing them and freeing them as well. Dainn watched as each of them were attacking the ponies and the Caribou of both gender and freeing them before they watched gateways quickly open up and arms grabbing and pulling them in before quickly closing.
"Shining, put up a barrier and put a stop to this!!" He shouted at him with rage. Shining stood tall and trying to power up his horn to put up the barrier, only for the magic in it to fizzle out and he felt weak. "I told you to put a barrier!!"
"I'm trying, but something is wrong!" Shining retorted as he tried again but only to end with the same result. "It feels like my magic is that of a newborn unicorn! It's all weak or something!" Thorax noticed a strange glow coming from where his cutie mark is before he left up his armor and saw something that made his eyes go wide. "What are you--" He looked at his own cutie mark and saw that it was no longer a shield with a star in it, but an equal sign instead. "What happened to me?!"
Back at Fortress Elysium, everycreature was quickly pulling both caribou and pony of both genders through the light gateways as it was all part of their plan. "Great job everyone! And remember, if there's any signs of resistance, use magic to blast who's ever giving them there and get them away from who you're trying to save!" Princess Twilight told them as they were going as fast as they could to pull them in. Twilight then walked over to Starlight who is holding a jar with Shining Armor's cutie mark inside it.
"Mimir's idea for using my spell to get your brother's cutie mark and make him equal works like a charm." She commented as she spun the jar on her finger before catching it in the palm of her hand.
"Don't get cocky, sister." Mimir spoke up as Freya held him up. "This is just the beginning. Now it's time for Phase Two. Get Big Mac and those pie rock sisters for the raid on the castle."
"We're already to go in." Limestone said as she, her sisters, and Big Mac stepped up.
"Okay, remember." Twilight spoke up. "I will look for the princesses while you find your sisters. And most importantly, don't get caught."
"And if we run into those bastards that hurt them." Big Mac said as he cracked his knuckles. "They'll wish they never ran into us." A Gateway opened up next to them and Twilight sticked her head in first before pulling back.
"It's all clear." She confirmed before the went through but Maud stopped and looked back into the distance.
"What's wrong, sister?" Mimir asked.
"I heard something calling out to me again." She told him before going through the Gateway and it closed behind her.
Back in the streets of Canterlot, Trojans were set on our armored heroes as they continued to free each civilian. Flash on the other hand was looking around for something as he attacked each Trojan being thrown at him. "Which one? Which house is it?" He asked himself before he spotted something. "There it is!"
Sparks rain down thunder as she took out a few Trojans before she noticed flash running away. "Hey Flash, where are going?!" She called out.
"Nevermind him, focus on the fight!" Tempest called out as he made three copies of himself before attacking more Trojans and freeing more civilians. It wasn't long before it swarms of changelings started to fly in. "Oh good, it looks like the fun just increase to eleven!"
Inside the castle, Twilight had to separate from the others as she was running through the halls and looking for the other princesses. She ran into a few guards before she unleash some combat skills she was taught to them and knock them out. Any female guards that are black colors she sent to Fortress Elysium as she continued on the way. One of them told her where to find Celestia, another told her where Luna might be, and a third said where Princess Cadance is being held and used.

"Of course I didn't, I'm not as dumb as you think I am." Twilight retorted. "And I'm not in a friendly mood, so either you step aside or I'll kill you right here and now."
"I think it's best you just give up, because I can easily shapeshift into anything to take you down." Thorax told her with a grin.
"Don't even give him a chance to do so!" Chrysalis hissed. "Kill this traitorous bug right now!!" Thorax kicked her in the stomach to shut her up.
"No one said you can speak, bug bitch!" He shouted before he turned back to Twilight. "Now I'm going to give you three seconds to surrender. One..." Twilight stood her ground when he started counting. "Two..." Thorax was then blasted in the back before he lost consciousness and fell to the floor. All three females looked up and saw Pharynx standing tall with his horn dying down from a glow.
"Three." He finished before he looked at Twilight with surprise look on her face. "What?"
"Why...why did you...?" She asked as she looked between him and Thorax.
"Because that guy is not the brother I know." Pharynx said before he picked up thorax and put them over his shoulder. "I just need to do one more thing."
"And what's that?" Chrysalis asked before his eyes were glowing and soon her eyes were too. "That bastard... I can't wait to kill him with my own two hands once these runes on my body will be rid of!"
"If you're wondering why our eyes were glowing, it's because of our hive mind." Pharynx explain to Twilight. "I just told her and every Changeling what Dainn plan to exterminate every one of us once he is done with the resistance." Twilight thought for a minute before giving him a warm smile.
"Tell all of the male changelings to head to the everfeed forest while the female wait for the resistance to take them to the Fortress." Twilight instructed before a Gateway opened up next to them. "This will take you right to it. Once you're there tell him Twilight sent you and tell them what you told me."
"I will." Pharynx said as his eyes glowed for a few seconds before he help Chrysalis up and they walked through the gateway but looked back at her. "We are grateful for the help."
"We will do everything to help you with this war." Chrysalis told her. "I can't wait to wipe the grin off his face." They then went through and it closed up behind them. Twilight then put Cadance in a orb and went to find Celestia and Luna with her close by.
Back outside, are heroes we're having a tough time as the changelings were overpowering them before their eyes glowed and they saw the males fly off and the females were being dragged into the gateways. "Hey what's going on?!" Tempest asked as they left. "Why are they being brought to the Fortress and where the guys going?!"
"Don't know, but it gives us an advantage!" Aqua shouted as she fought her way through some Trojans. More were on the way before a big blaze trail appeared and burn them to ash. They looked and saw Flash with his sword held high before he jumped down and attacked a few more.
"Where were you?!" Terra asked after bringing down a few more down.
"Let's just say that I found a couple of ponies that Twilight will love to see again!" Flash told them as he fought his way through some Trojans. He then heard a caribou stag scream as one king down with a sword and the two clashed blades together. The Caribou stag who clashed blades with Flash is Hellhein. "You again?!"
"Long time, no see!" Hellhein exclaimed with a smile. "We haven't been properly introduced. I'm Hellheim and I believe that you are the one I've been searching for!" They pushed each other back before they clashed blades again and again.
"Where the hell is Pinkie?!" Limestone shouted as they ran through the halls of Canterlot castle.
"Maybe we should have asked Twilight to make a map for us." Maud said as Marble nodded her head in agreement.
"Eeyup." Big Mac said as they turn a corner and they saw Fluttershy and Thungrox. They took a defensive stance when they saw the Caribou stag. Thungrox used some sign language as the four ponies looked at him with a bit of confusion minus Maud.
"He says to follow us to Applejack and Pinkie Pie." Fluttershy translated.
"How can we trust him, or you?!" Limestone shouted with a glare. "You're wearing a red color around your neck and we know what that means!" Fluttershy was about to say something before Thungrox removed the call her around her neck before he send a blast behind them and knocked out two Caribou guards who are about to jump the four of them.
"If that's not enough to convince you, then just punch me in the face and do whatever you want to him." Fluttershy said as she bow her head down. "Just know that we were wanting to help and get the hell out of here." The pie sisters looked at each other before Big Mac stepped up and padded Fluttershy's head.
"Ah known you since you met Applejack and ah can tell that y'all really feel sorry for what done." He said in a sincere voice. "Let's follow them, girls." They then followed the two until the reached a room with two cages and in them are Applejack and Pinkie Pie resting comfortably in them. "Applejack!"
"Big Mac?" Applejack asked when she saw her big brother.
"Maud, Limestone, Marble!" Pinkie Pie shouted as her deflated hair puffed up when she looked excited to see her sisters. The moment they opened the change, Pinkie quickly gave her three sisters a big hug. "You have no idea how much I missed you!" Limestone quickly covered her mouth.
"Keep it down." She told her. "We're here to rescue you both and we don't need caribou's stags coming in here to ruin it. But we miss you too, Pinkie Pie." She had a small blush on her face when she said it.
"Are you okay, Pinkie?" Maud asked as she check Pinkie. "Did they hurt you or get you pregnant?"
"Trust us, we're fine." Applejack said when her brother got her out. "But we weren't the first few weeks, but after that the pain just went away. It's all hard to explain." Both her and Pinkie Pie were then pulled in for a hug by Fluttershy as she was crying rivers from her eyes.

"Why don't you all make it easy on yourselves and just give up?" Ivan suggested with a grin. "Those swordsponies outside are going to lose and those swords of theirs are going to belong to Dainn."
"That's where are your wrong." Maud spoke up as she stepped up. "What they're fighting for what is right and what for Equestria truly stands for. "That's a moving speech, but it's not going to save you." Vesteri told before they all heard a enormous roar that shook the Earth. "The hell was that?!" High in the sky is Fortress Elysium that hovered very high above cancer lot they couldn't see it but its roar was so loud that every creature and all the land could hear it. It then shot out something from its mouth straight down towards Canterlot castle. It looked like a pink sword with a trigger and black in the middle of the blade while it had three circles going up it. The sword crashed through the ceiling where Maud and the others are and the moment it landed and stuck in the ground, it let out a high powerful sound wave that everyone had to cover their ears.
"What is that?!?!?" Applejack shouted as they were covering their ears. It was too loud that they couldn't even move an inch.
"It's what I've been hearing all this time." Maud said as she was unaffected by the loud sound wave. She then walked up to the sword and grabbed it by the handle. "It has chosen me." The moment she pulled it out of the ground, the sound stopped and they were able to remove their hands from their ears as she pointed the sword at the two Caribou Stags. "Now you both move out of the way, or you'll be in a world of pain for what you did to my sister."

The sound blast destroyed the room that they were in as sound began to cover her before the blast reared back and collided with her.
When the light died down, Maud is wearing an armor that is pink and black with a brown checkered shoulder pad and a helmet that had a blade that is split down the middle on top. "Yeah, I think I can." Maud said before she block an attack from Ivan when he swing his stune stick. She then cut the stick in half before she grabbed him by the arm and knocked him into his brother. She then brought up her sword and with one swing, she cut off their antlers before she crushed them under her foot.
"Hope y'all don't plan on having kids." Applejack told the two as she nodded to her brother and the both of them pulled their legs back and gave powerful kicks right to their groins, and blood was gushing out from them as the two screamed in so much pain. "You all head back to Fortress Elysium." Maud told them as a Gateway opened up. "I'm going to help the others."

"So, another one?" Hellheim asked when he saw Maud. "Now things are really getting interesting!" The two continues to clash blades as the others continued to fight the Trojans. One of them had leap towards Maud and when she brought up her blade to stop the attack, it caused the blade to move down and split down the middle before a big surge of energy course through her.
Within her helmet, Maud closed her eyes when she felt the energy coursing through her before she opened them wide and her lips formed a smile on her face. She was laying on the ground the entire time as Trojans started to dog pile on her, before bunch of blast underneath destroyed them with a few blasts. "Oh yeah!!!" Maud shouted at the top of her lungs as she leaped up and spun around before aiming her sword that looked like a blaster now at the Trojans before unleashing a barrage of blasts at them. "I feel so awesome and powerful, I FEELING ROCKING !!!"
"Uh what's wrong with her?" Tempest asked when they all saw her act like the way she is now.

Back at Fortress Elysium Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie were given the same type of clothing cloth that Twilight, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash are wearing with their cutie marks being in place of them as they were watching the whole thing unfold in Canterlot in the library in the crystal ball. Dainn was watching the fight with Shining with a mad look on his face and his eye was twitching. At first there was only five of them, now there are six and is blowing away the competition, literally. He held up his hammer and raised it up high before a voice was calling out from the outskirts of the city. "DAINN, IF YOU WANT TO FIGHT SOMEONE, FIGHT SOMEONE WHO HAS IS THE REAL RULER OF THE CARIBOU!!! " He took the periscope and saw who it was that said it and saw Freya with golden armor on as symbol of her royalty.
Dainn crushed the periscope through his burning anger towards her and Shining noticed this. "My king, are you okay?" He asked before Dainn took his hammer and held it up high as magic coursed through it before it shut up lightning bolt up high in the sky. Multiple lightning bolts struck down on every stallion and stag Caribou that haven't been taken to Fortress Elysium and they were being forced to use their magic and aim straight towards Freya.
Under his control, they all unleashed a very powerful wave of magic beans right at Freya with all they have. "Looks like phase three has just started." Sparks spoke up when she saw this happen. "Let's head out!" Even helheim was one of the many Caribou Stags that are unleashing there magic on Freya unwillingly.
"Looks like Dainn has ruined our little fight!" He grunted before looking at Flash. "We'll have to settle our little fight another time." A Gateway opened up next to flash before he went through as well as the others did. Every stallion and stag was being drained as they were unwillingly using their magic to try and destroy Freya.
"My king, you have to stop." Shining told Dainn. "They can't keep this up!"
"More." Dainn grunted as he made them keep going. One by one, they were falling to their knees as they were getting drained from this. "More!" He shouted as he used his hammer to make them go added more and more started to fall to the ground. "MORE!! " A giant fog of smoke where Freya stood rised up as a crater was being formed there as well. Soon, every caribou stag and stallion were all drained as they all fell to the ground. Dainn had a wicked grin on his face as he had thought he had finally destroyed the one who ruined his life before the smoke was cleared when Freya flipped up her wings and flew to a more solid ground away from the crater. Freya then dust off some dust on her armor shoulder and gave a smirk thinking is that all he has got.
Dainn angrily frowned as a teleported to where Freya is with his hammer as the two glared at each other before walking around slowly each other. "Bambi." She said with a smirk.
"Bitch." Dainn retorted and anger as he clutched his hammer tight. "So, the cow finally comes out of hiding after running away?"
"It's not running away if you are warned of a danger coming." Freya corrected as her ax was getting covered in frost. "I know you have seek Mimir's guidance and I know that you have been suppressing your cycle. Do you not know that if you do that, you'll end up killing us all?!"
"Why should I listen to the cow who destroyed my life." Dainn growled.
"You did that all on your own when you got jealous of me and broke the most sacred rule of our kind." Freya corrected. "I'll give you this one last chance, surrender, give back the land you wrongfully stole, let me remove the cycle that is inside of you, and face your punishment with dignity."
"Not...on...YOUR LIFE!!" He shouted with rage as he unleashed a magic beam from his hammer right at her, but Freya easily dodge did by flipping over it and it hit the mountain next to Canterlot. Bria continued to dodged each attack from Dainn with ease as she flipped through the air and danced with so much grace from his attacks. Dainn was getting furious with each dodge she did and every time they hit the mountain, pieces of it fell apart to reveal something underneath.
Freya continued to dodge each attack from him before she bumped into a wall and was backed into a corner. As she glared at him, Dainn had a wicked grin on his face as he was more than pleased to destroy her. "I am giving you one last warning, if you do not surrender, you will suffer the greatest consequences anyone could ever receive."
"Like I would listen to a cow who is nothing more than a cock sleeve, who doesn't even deserve to live!" Dainn shouted as his eyes glowed yellow. Freya saw the glow and knew what this had meant.
"How long have you been holding on to that forbidden rune you stole?!" She asked.

"You are a fool!" She shouted. "The forbidden runes are forbidden for a reason! They almost bring destruction long ago and if you do not let this one go, your cycle will far be the worst thing to ever happen to you!"
"Silence!" Dainn shouted as he tried to choke her, but his hand just went through her. He waved his hand all around her body and realized that it wasn't her, but an illusion this whole time.

"You are even the most gullible Caribou stag that is ever lived, you really shouldn't leave valuable things unguarded, and what I am is not a cow, but a valkyrie." The illusion of her than vanish as he thought it over what you just said before his eyes grew wide and looked towards the direction of the castle.
Twilight Sparkle was running through the halls of the castle with Celestia and Luna free from their captivity while Cadance, Fleur de Lis, and Fancy Pants were trapped in an orb she cast on them as they continued to run. "Very clever, Twilight!" Celestia said as they continued on. "Using the attack as a diversion to not only free us, get our horns to finally stopped the broadcast of our defeat, capture these three, but to get every magical artifact that is here and clean out the Royal Vault so Canterlot is flat broke!"
"Even I will admit, I would have fallen for the same trick myself." Luna said with a smile.
"We're not out of the woods yet!" Twilight told them as they made their way outside and to the garden before a few Caribou guards who looked weakened were coming around the corner and saw them as they jumped on the ledge and saw how far down it is to the bottom. "Come on, where are you?" Dainn soon teleported with Shining Armor and he looked not happy about any of this.
"You!" Dainn growled with so much hatred. "You think you can get away with attacking my kingdom, attacking my men, and destroying my castle?!?! You will become a purple color when I'm done with you!!!"
"I won't be wearing any color around my neck anytime soon." Twilight said with a glare as she looked down behind her before glaring back at him and her brother. "I made a promise with Flash Sentry that I will never give in to your corruption and keep fighting until the very end!" She then look towards her brother. "And Shining, I promise you that I will free you from the control he put you under, it's just not today." Then what she did next surprised everyone as she tackled both Celestia and Luna while pulling her three captives down with her as they fell off the edge.
They were all shocked to see her do something like that but Dainn had a smile on his face as he thought they have fallen to their doom. Just then, the Kingexcalibur Warrior flew up with all of them in its hand while a sword in the other. They also they were perfectly fine as it place them on its shoulder before it raised it's toward high and slashed it down to cause even more damage to the castle and the mountain next to the city. Kingexcalibur then flew off as a Gateway opened up and it went through it. Dainn had a look of pure rage as his eyes glowed yellow before turning around and saw something on the face of the mountain.
It looked like a ginormous phoenix with a menacing emblem on its chest and he could feel a very powerful and dark magic emanating from behind the phoenix.
As soon as the warrior returned to Fortress Elysium and shrunk down, a few guards escorted the royal sisters to recovery chambers so they may recover and took the three captives Twilight took to the holding cells. Twilight then was about to walk in before she bumped into Flash before he quickly caught her and she saw his wings were up. "Flash, what are you doing here?" She asked.
"I have a little surprise for you." He told her with a smile. "Close your eyes and wait for me to tell you to open them." Twilight didn't know what he was doing, but she went along with it and closed her eyes. She could hear whispering coming from him and two others that sounded very familiar to her. "Okay, you can open your eyes." Twilight opened her eyes and what she saw brought rivers of tears running down her eyes. It was her parents, Night Light and Twilight Velvet. Velvet was wearing the same clothing Twilight is wearing for her clothes have been ripped off and destroyed by the caribou. "Surprise, I figured you would want to see your parents again since you've been worried about them since the fall." He told her before Twilight quickly pulled him in for a big kiss on the lips before she ran over to her parents and gave them a big hug as all three of them were crying with tears of joy to see each other again.

The four then ventured on Into the woods while they stayed alert as they did. As they were deep enough in the woods, they heard us stick snap and they quickly lowered. They went behind a log before they looked over and saw a wild boar ahead. "Alright Freya, ready your bow and take aim." Sigurd whispered to her.
Freya hold up her bow as she pulled back on its string with an arrow. She closed her left eye and took aim at the wild boar. She looked ready to fire the arrow, but she looked at boar and felt sorry for it as she lowered her bow. The three looked at her with confused looks before the boar ran away. "Freya, why did you shoot it?" Angi asked.
"It just didn't feel right." Freya said as she looked down.
"It's alright, we will try again next time." Sigurd told her before they heard a roar off in the distance. They stay low as they followed to where they heard the roar. Freya and Angi stay close to their fathers before all four of them saw a white monster with big horns on its head and it was carrying a large stone column like it was a club. They could see it had crush the boar from before as it picked it and walked away with it. "That must be the monster that attacked that village before." Sigurd whispered softly.
"I believe that's enough for today." Gryttr whispered. "Let's return home and tell King Tyr that we have found the beast." Freya didn't take her eyes off the boar the monster had killed before Angi pulled her away. The whole day went by and as the sun sets, Freya was on the second floor of the cabin and was laying in a bed. She looked up at the ceiling you couldn't stop thinking about the poor boar til her father came up to check on her.
"Freya, are you all right?" Sigurd asked as he sat down next to her on her bed. "You've been quiet since we got back."
"I can't stopping thinking about what happened to that boar." Freya spoke. "Why did that poor creature have to die, daddy?" Sigurd can see a small tear run down her cheek.
"I'm afraid that's the circle of life, Freya." Sigurd said as he wiped the tear off her cheek. "But this is a good thing. If you had shot that boar, we would have never seen the monster. And now we can save the rest of those stags and cows it took."
"Doe." Freya said. "When I read one of those books, the pictures with female Caribou kept having the word doe with them. I believe that's what female Caribou were called before they were enslaved." Sigurd smile as he brushed her hair.
"Well, that sounds a lot better than cow." He said before they saw a bright light coming from outside. When they both looked out the window, they can see a dome made up light far off in the distance before Sigurd sigh. "Another Cycle went off. There's has got to be a way to be rid of it for good." That got Freya thinking.
"Daddy, maybe I could find a way to rid of the Cycle." Freya said, making Sigurd look at her. "When I'm older, I will find a way to save all of us from the Cycle and everyone can see that us females are just as smart and strong as males. And then they'll no longer call us cows but doe instead and no longer treat us as play things." Sigurd smiled as he picked her up.
"And who knows, maybe you will be come the new and first female ruler of the Caribou." Sigurd said before he lays her in bed and then tucks her in. "Now get some rest. Tomorrow, me and some men are going off to find that monster and save those stags and co- does." He kissed her goodnight before he head down stairs. Freya lay her head down her pillow and close her eyes to go off to dream land. She dreamed about herself but older, wearing fancy clothes made for royalty, and on her forehead is the rune symbol for leadership. She was dreaming that she became the queen of the Caribou, removed the Cycle from everyone, and ended the slavery for all Caribou race.
Two weeks have passed and Freya sits in a chair in the home of Gryttr and Angi while she she holds her father's ax in her hands with a very sad look on her face. Two weeks ago her father let a search team to find the monster they saw before to rescue the remaining villagers. They found its den and managed to rescue the villagers before the beast showed up. Sigurd told his men to get the villagers out while he took care of a monster. Gryttr pleaded with him for him to stay, only for Sigurd to tell him to take care of Freya for him.
Sigurd managed to cut off one of its horns and kept it busy for the others to escape, but at a price. Gryttr had returned to find Sigurd's corpse on the ground the monsters footprints going in a different direction. Gryttr carried the dead Sigurd back to their village, so that they could give him a proper send-off. Gryttr told Freya of what happened to her father and she was devastated to hear it. Gryttr snuck Freya to his home where Angi was there, waiting for them and gave her a comforting hug.
"Freya, I'm so sorry for your loss." Angi said as she sat next to her. "To lose the only family you've had is really rough. At least your father died with honor and is now in Valhalla."
"Thanks...but I wish he was still here..." Freya said just as Gryttr came through the door.
"Really rough day. I need some Valkyrie booze." Gryttr said as went over to a cabinet and took out a wooden mug.
"Are you okay, dad?" Angi asked. "You only drink that when something big is happening."
"And something is." Gryttr said as he took out a bottle and open it. "King Tyr is on the search for a pupil to teach and hope someday become the new ruler." Freya's ears went up when she heard that. "Right now, some young buck is looking to be it. The kid's name is Dainn and he's a spoiled brat if you ask me." He poured the booze in the mug.
"I can only imagine what's he's like, right Freya?" Angi asked, only to hear the sound of a door open and close real quick. "Freya?" She and Gryttr looked to see she was gone before looking at the door. Right then and there, they knew what's she's about to do and where's she's going. Angi quickly puts on her cloak before she and Gryttr ran out after her. Freya runs with her father's ax in hand as she made her way to where groups of Caribou have gathered infront of a palace where King Tyr in golden armor stands with his advisor, Mimir Proteus.
"Perhaps this was not such a good idea." King Tyr whispered to Mimir Proteus. "We should have listened to that fortune teller and waited."
"He was an old man and crazy." Mimir Proteus whispered back. "We need to find you a pupil now. I mean sure this Dainn boy is full of himself, but with you're teaching I'm sure he'll get over. Besides, he's smart and strong, what more could you ask for?" King Tyr just looked at a young Caribou with short black hair and blue eyes and still didn't feel sure about it.
"Please, please, I know I'm great but tell me something I don't know." A young Dainn said as he was talking to other bucks. Freya was doing her best to cut through the many Caribou in her way and get to the king to ask him to take her as his pupil. But there was too many and she was still too young to push through. It seems hopeless til she spotted the statue of her father that looked tall enough for everyone to see her, even the king. As she made her way to it, Gryttr and Angi were searching through the crowd looking for her. Freya was half way to the statue when a stag stepped on her cloak to caused it to rip off her. "Now if you'll excuse me, our King is awaiting-"
"KING TYR, I WISH TO BECOME YOUR PUPIL!!!"
Freya shouted on the statue of her father, getting the attention of every Caribou around her. Angi and Gryttr saw her on the statue and knew they were too late. Every stags looked at Freya for a few seconds before they all burst into laughter.
"It's always nice to have a good laugh." Dainn said as he wiped a tear from his eye. "Now get down from there cunt and take off those clothes. A cunt should not wear clothes."
"I will not remove my clothes!" Freya told Dainn, causing every Caribou to gasp but Gryttr and Angi.
"Excuse me?" Dainn scold her as he walked to her. "You're a cocksleeve and should not be talking back." She jumped down and kept a straight determine look.
"Well guess what, I don't care." Freya told him. "I decide on my own fate and not let anyone tell me otherwise."

"Enough!" King Tyr shouted, causing every Caribou to stop cheering and the two on the ground to freeze. Most Caribou move out of the way as King Tyr walked over to Freya and Dainn who quickly got up from the ground. Dainn had a smirk on his face thinking King Tyr was going to punish Freya. Fearing for her friend, Angi got free from her Father's grasp and ran over to stand infront of Freya.
"Please wait! She was only defend herself and her father! You can't-" Angi try to say, only for King Tyr to hold up his hand. Angi realize that all of the Caribou can see her and knew she's in trouble before her father stood in front of her.
"Your highness, please don't take away my daughter and Sigurd's. I promise to look after her before he took on the monster." Gryttr explained.
"Angi, Gryttr, please. I'm not afraid of him." Freya told them before King Tyr move them aside before he kneel down to Freya's eye level.
"What's your name, little one? And why do you want to become my pupil?" King Tyr asked her.
"My father named me Freya." She answered him. "And I want to prove that us females are just as good as males and to save ever Caribou from the thing that is almost causing us to go extinct." King Tyr thought for a few moments before he stood up.
"I have made a decision, I will take Dainn and Freya as my pupils!" King Tyr declared and everyone, especially Dainn, was shocked and surprised by this news.
"But my king! You can't let a cunt like her be your pupil!" Dainn shouted. "Besides, there's no way you can teach magic when she can't use magic."
"Oh yeah?" Freya asked before she moved some snow on the ground infront of her dad's statue before she closed her eyes and her antlers start to glow. As the rune symbol of life appeared between them as grass and flowers grew right there and then. "Read It and Weep, Bambi."
"What...how did...but that's..." Dainn was dumbfounded as evercaribou were talking amongst each other about what they just saw.
"I have one request, my king." Freya said as she stood up. "I asked for you to make my friend, Angi, and train her to be one of your soldiers."
"Done. Gryttr, please show your daughter, her friend, and Dainn around the palace." King Tyr order and Gryttr nodded before he took the three to the palace. "Fair warning who questioned me, I will chop your dick off." Mimir Proteus quickly went over to him.
"May I talked to you in private your majesty?" Mimir Proteus whispered before he and Tyr went behind a house. "What were you thinking?! After you just put a small cow as a pupil, they'll think you're weak!"
"Let them think that." King Tyr with a straight face. "Belvidere the seer told me that one day, a born from a great hero who had sacrificed himself for others, will wield the father's ax and declared that she would be the one to save our race from going extinct from the Cycle."
"But, Belvidere was crazy." Mimir Proteus told him. "There's no way a cow like that can be the one to remove the Cycle inside us all."
"Well, we'll have to wait and see. Won't we?" Tyr asked. "And just to be safe, we'll have Durin to watch over Freya." In the palace, Gryttr was showing the three around the place. From the dining room, to the armory, to the library, to the training ground. He showed them every part of the place. And each room they went in, Dainn glared at Freya with a cold stare to try and intimidate her.
"Now, before I take you to your own rooms, you need to one thing." Gryttr told the three. "There's one place you must never go." He pointed to a door down a hall with many runes all over it. "That is the vault where we keep the forbidden runes. Never go in there and take any of the scrolls that hold them."
"Really, what can they do?" Dainn asked with an intrigued look on his face.
"Don't matter. What does is that the few Caribou that have took some of them were punished surveillance by exile to Helheim Forest." Gryttr told them. "A Forest so it's too terrorist that no one of our kind will never come out. I want to three to give me your word to never go in there." Freya, Angi, and Dainn then place their left hands on their hearts.
"We swear by Odin's beard that we will never go into the vault where the forbidden runes." All three said at the same time. After they did, Gryttr brought each of them to their own room. First Dainn before he brought Angi to her's, then brings Freya to her's that was down the hall to Angi's. In Freya's new room is a fancy bed, a desk big enough for multiple works, and a wardrobe. Freya smiled before she jumped on the bed then lay down. She looked up at the ceiling that was covered in stars of the night sky before she brought up her father's ax.
"First step into saving our kind has been took, father." Freya spoke to the ax. "Just need to study the books about the Cycle and find a way to remove it to save us. I won't let you down father." There was then a knock at her door. She got up to answer it and she was face to face with a buck with red hair and ocean blue eyes. "And you are...?"
