Twilight has been experimenting with the possibility of traveling to other worlds via the school portal. She finally got a working prototype done and used her own magic to power the portal. However, the portal overloads and sucks the girls to a new world. When they arrive in the new world, they are no longer humans. They have large ears, leathery wings, and have the ability to use echolocation. Yep, they've not only been teleported to another world, but they've been turned into bats. As they try to navigate their new environment and instincts, they come across some potential help.

This is a crossover between MLP and the "Silverwing" books by Kenneth Oppel. These books were so popular that it got its own animated TV series. The character designs for the show look pretty cool.
