Chapter 4:

After Gus and Nathaniel's little performance, the party still rages on. Twilight was curious about when Gary saying things about "Earth" back at the farm, so she decided to interview him about it in her home, where they can talk in silence since the party is too loud for an interview.

"Are you sure you don't mind leaving your own welcoming party?" Twilight asked.

"It's quite alright, I want to know more about this place anyway. This land, this air, It's like it's never been touch by pollution" Said Gary as he inhales deeply. He turns around and saw the man with a purple jacket behind them. "Why is he coming too?"

"Spike is my assistant, he also lives at the castle with me and my student" Twilight explained.

"Wait, a castle?" Gary questioned.

As they made a turn on a corner, Gary stood still and in awe as he gazes upon the sight to behold. A large crystal tree spotted in a distance, reflecting the moons lights,within its branches is a purple yet large building and topped with a large crystal. It's very existence seems impossible to believe.

"I-i-is that the castle you just mentioned?" he asked, still not believing what he is seeing.

"That's right, home of the newly crowned Princess of Friendship, Princess Twilight Sparkle" Spike answered, as he stops beside Gary.

"A Princess? You mean I'm under the presence of royalty?!" Gary replied, as he slowly begins to panic.

"Relax, Twilight doesn't really act like a proper princess, but she is still royalty" says Spike calmly. " Come on, ya don't want the princess waiting, right?" he added as he nudges him forward.

"This is a lot to take in, honestly..." says Gary, barely audible, and slowly walks down the path to the enchanted castle.

They slowly entered the castle, Gary slowly takes in it's glass-like interior, tall ceilings, long hallways and numerous doorways. As he gazes it's beautiful interior they headed to one of the doors and found themselves in a room filled with books.

"Alright, let's get this interview underway" Twilight declared. "Spike, would you mind preparing some tea?"

"No problem" Spike replied as he heads out for his task.

Twilight led Gary to a round table and uses her magic to place out scrolls, books, a quill and some ink for the interview.

"Now, to start, please tell me more about yourself, things you usually do, things what you can do, we'll develop from there" Twilight asks as she holds a quill and scroll oh her hands.

"Y-yes of course your highness" Gary nervously replied.

"Your highness?" Twilight questioned. "O-oh, you mean me? Well I may be the princess of friendship and all, but there's no need to be formal between us friends".

"Oh okay" Says Gary as he calms down a little. " Still, meeting a princess is a lot to take in for a commoner like me"

"Well I prefer not to dwell on the thought too much, in the end, I'm still still human like you" She smiled.

Gary smiled back, he then cleared his throat to continue the interview.

Back at the party, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash found Nathaniel talking with his friend Gus.

"Hey, shouldn't you be in bed?" Rainbow scolded at the scarred man.

Nat replied with a sheepish laugh, "I know I'm not in a good condition, But I wanted to see my friend again"

"You're not in good condition? Is something wrong with you?" Asked Gus.

"Well, I sorta crashed from the sky and landed on a forest"

"Well I crashed near town, but it doesn't hurt"

at the middle of the conversation, Pinkie Pie appeared between them. "Hello super special great guests! Enjoying the party?" She greeted.

"Hi there, Pinkie Pie" Greeted Gus. "Is my brother still here? or is he just quiet?"

"Oh, Twilight told me that she is gonna interview him about something, so she brought him to the castle where they can talk" Explained Pinkie. "Now, who wants cupcakes?" She said as she serves a tray of colorful cupcakes.

"Castle?" Nat asked.

"Our friend Twilight is the princess of friendship" Fluttershy answered kindly.

"A Princess of Frie-" Nat was cut off with a cupcake shoved to his mouth.

"Let's not talk about that right now, enjoy Pinkie's cupcake instead" Says Rainbow as she held the cupcake to Nat.

Nathaniel choked up a bit, chewed, and flavored it. "Wow, this is kinda good"

"Thanks! there's more at the table. Gotta go, got more guest to entertain" Said Pinkie as she handed one to Gus then walks to the Buffet table to serve the guests.

"So, Fluttershy." Started Nat as he finishes his cupcake. "Can you introduce me to your friends?"

"Oh, O-kay" She replied.

Nat stood up from the couch and followed her.

"Umm.... Who do you want to meet first? If you don't mind me asking"

"Well, I already met your friend Rainbow Dash and that hyper girl, Pinkie Pie. Do you have more friends?"

"Umm....We can meet Applejack and Rarity, if it's okay with you"

"I don't mind, friends of yours are friends of mine. And thanks again for patching me up" Said Nat with a smile.

"Oh, your welcome. I like helping my friends, especially animals. We're....friends...right?" She said as she slowly hides her face with her long pink hair.

Nat felt that feeling again when she smiled at him back at the cottage, but this time it's getting a little more stronger than before. He suppressed it, but it formed a light shade on his face. "Well, we are. Since you took care of me and all"

"Fluttershy, dear. It's good to see you" Said a voice. Nat familiarizes it as a British ascent.

"Oh, Hello Rarity" Fluttershy greeted.

She nodded and eyed the person next to him. "Who's your friend?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Nathaniel, this is my best friend Rarity. Rarity, this is Nathaniel" She introduces.

Rarity eyed him once again and places a sly smile on her face. "Where did you two met?"

"Well, I kinda crashed somewhere near her yard, then she patches me up" Nathaniel explained.

"Pardon? You crashed somewhere near her yard?" Rarity repeated, Nat replies with a single nod.

"No wonder you look like a mess, you should head to the boutique if you want to draw more admiration, I can help make you stand out in the crowd that is fit for a VIP such as yourself."

"Thanks for the offer, but I'm not sure if--"

"I'll take no for an answer, you should be at least be more presentable. And don't worry about paying, I never charge a friend of a friend" Rarity glanced at Fluttershy.

Okay, if you insist"

Glad to hear it, ta-ta for now" Said Rarity as she walks to the buffet table to grab punch.

"Wow, she's so generous" Said Nat as he turns to face Fluttershy.

"She is. Do you still want to meet more? If you don't mind"

"Sure, got nothing better to do anyway" Said Nat as he follows her to meet more of her friends.

Meanwhile, Gus is by himself on the couch enjoying a cup of water and a cupcake.Then, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash sat with him so he can have some company.

"So, your name is Gus, right?" Rainbow asked.

He nods, "It seems I haven't recognize your voice yet, yes, my name is Gus Hogwill. What's yours?"

"The name's Rainbow Dash, also know as "The Fastest Flier in Equestria" or "The Future Wonderbolt"." She greeted.

"The Wonderbolts? I'm afraid I haven't heard of them. But, since your called the fastest flier in Equestria and wanted to join them, they must be really great"

"Oh, they are! Only The best of the best can be a Wonderbolt. I'm still in their reserves for now, but you should totally watch them on their air shows, it's just so awesome!"

"Watch? Oh, I'm terribly sorry but I can't see"

"That's because you got a blindfold on, you should have at least removed it after playing one of Pinkies party games" Said Rainbow as she she began to untie it. Once the blindfold is loosen and falls off, Rainbow just stared at his colorless eyes. "Sorry! Sorry! I-I didn't know!" She tries to tie it back, but it just slides back down.

"It's okay, Planning to remove it anyway to prevent my eyes from sweating" He said as he puts the blindfold in his pocket for safe keeping.

"What's wrong with your eyes? It's not colorful like ours" Said Pinkie as he stares at Gus.

"He's blind, which means he can't see us or see anything" Rainbow explained.

"Really? For how long?" Asked Pinkie.

"Sadly, since I was born." Gus signed. "It's hard at first, but I got use to it thanks to my brother"

"Don'tcha got like, friends to help ya around?" Pinkie asked.

"I do, but..." he paused. "Let's just say, they kinda don't want to get involved with me"

Gus honestly doesn't know what to call the people that he was with, they played with him, hurt him, tease him, trick him, say things that he didn't do and many, many more. Once they're done or got bored, they leave him on the ground as if someone would pick me up or put him away, which his brother do all the time. But he never doubted them or hate them actually, because he believe that they never really wanted to really hurt him. And he simply brought that belief to life.

"Nat told me, that some of them teared up when I sang during the talent show for the first time, as if I touched their hearts through my voice" He said as he makes a sign of relief. "But you guys showed me kindness even if you don't fully know me but my name. You guys simply done all this to strangers like me and treat them like family or old time friends, I wanted to thank you guys for everything you have done" Gus smiled as he was grateful.

"It's no problem at all! I always like parties and like meeting new faces! And don't worry about those meanie-bo-beanies you met, because in Ponyville, everyone wants to be your friend!" Said Pinkie as she gives a friendly hug to Gus, which he returns the kind gesture and smiled.

After some time have past, Gary and Twilight continued on the interview of Gary's lifestyle and the great difference of both worlds. Later on, they decided to take a break as a new face entered the room with a tea set.

"Here you go Twilight, one tea set, ready and willing" the newcomer declared as she approaches the table and uses magic to expertly levitate the tea set and served two cups with hot tea.

"Thank you, Starlight" says Twilight. " Gary, let me introduce you to my student of the study friendship, Starlight Glimmer"

"Uh, hi" Starlight greeted as she awkwardly waves.

"Uh, hey" Gary greeted back. After the quick exchange the room went to an awkward silence, but Twilight seems to be happy.

"A-anyways, since you guys got your tea now, I'll just uh... head back to my room...to do some...uh...studying...yeah...." says Starlight as she slowly backs away to the door and slowly closes the door.

"She can be a little awkward, but I'm sure you guys can get along" Twilight whispered to Gary.

"I can actually relate just a bit" Gary whispered back and chuckled a bit. He then grabs his teacup and took a whiff. "By the way, i got something to ask for awhile now"

"Really what is it?" Twilight replied happily.

"What does a 'Princess of Friendship' actually do?" Gary questioned and took sip of his tea. "Is it something like forming alliances between lands and countries?"

"Well, to simply explain, I help maintain the Harmony between all living things in Equestria" Twilight proudly answered.

"What kind of harmony?" Gary added.

Twilight grinned and sets her tea down to the table, then wraps her hand in a lavender aura and magically levitated numerous books and scrolls. "Oh, do I have a lecture for you!" she declared, Gary starting to regret that he ever asked.

After a long hour have passed and the clock tower strikes 10 at night, the party has slowly came to an end. The guest said their goodbyes and returned to their respective homes. The guests of honors, Gus and Nathaniel slowly exits the bakery with Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity as they wave goodbye to Pinkie Pie.

"That's some party, huh?" Said Nat to Gus.

"It was, even though i didn't do much in there, I simple enjoyed the company". Replied Gus. "Umm, miss Dash. Can you lead me to my brother?"

"Sure, he is probably in the castle with Twilight. Let's head there" Said Rainbow dash as she leads the small group to their destination.

After Nathaniel takes in the unbelievable sight of the castle and explains it's beauty to Gus, the group entered the long empty halls of the castle and head straight to the library where they believe Twilight and Gary will be. Once they reached and open the doors to the library, what they saw was that Twilight is giving a lecture with a lot of open books and scrolls scattered around in the air, and Gary desperately doing his best to take it all in.

"What is going on here?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Oh, hi there Rainbow! Guess what?! I'm giving Gary here a full course lecture of friendship and harmony! Isn't it great?!" Said Twilight with pure bliss.

"Yeah, that's great" Rainbow replied sheepishly. "Uh, Gus is here to get Gary"

"H-heh-he-hey there, brother of mine" Greeted Gary as he took a quick breather. "D-did you ever know that they are like, 6 elements of friendship?" He asked to prove to Twilight that lecture wasn't wasted, who reacted with a light clap and a full smile.

"Oh? What are they?" Gus replied.

Twilight smiled even wider and slowly levitated the books and scrolls, but Gary hastily stopped her.

"I-I can tell you all about it, when we retire for the day" says Gary, he then places himself next to his brother. " And I'm sure we're all very very tired so let's just head back for the night."

"Uh, Gary? Did you forget?" Says Nathaniel as he raises a brow. "We kinda crashed here, remember?"

"O-oh, yeah, I guess I kinda forgot" Says Gary with a sheepish laugh.

"Well, if you guys don't mind, you can all stay in the castle for the time being" Twilight offered. " This castle has a lot of vacant rooms, letting you guys stay here won't make too much of a difference"

"Well, if we're not a burden, we'll gladly accept your offer" Gus agreed. But Gary seems a little restless, so he pulled his brother and Nathaniel into a huddle.

"Hold on that bro, we just can't like barge in and take residence in a royal castle with a royal princess in it, that's itself is too much to take in!" Gary stated.

"I heard from the others that Twilight Sparkle is legit princess, but she kinda doesn't look apart from what I heard of a princess" Says Nat as she glances at Twilight, who kindly waved.

"She is kind enough to offer her home to us, so why not?" Says Gus. " I don't know much about what's going on, but we can't just say no to these people"

"Gus, you're a good man, your just trusting sometimes" says Nat, not really meaning what he just said. "But I agree with him, they seem nice, besides we got no other place to go" he added.

Gary thinks for a bit, signed, then nodded. The trio stood up and accepted Twilights offer.

After saying there goodbyes and good nights to their new friends, Twilight and Spike led them to a vacant bedroom with 4 beds. They each slowly went to their chosen beds and layed their stuff beside the nightstands. Nathaniel instantly fell a sleep, so he can eliminate the small pain from his slow recovering wounds. While Gary and Gus lay still on there beds.

"I hope you guys can sleep well, it was a rather special day to be had." Says Twilight as she offs the lights. "We can all eat breakfast in the morning, see you guys there!" She added and slowly closes the door.

The brother's lie down on their fluffy pillows on their heads and closed their eyes to sleep.

"Hey, Gus. Your still awake?" Asked Gary as he sets his glasses on the nightstand.

"Yeah" He slowly replied.

"How long do you think we'll stay here?"

"I don't know" he replied, after moments of silence.

" I honestly still can't believe all this" says Gary as he stares at the tall ceiling. "Giant castles, Princess of friendship, magic as a normal thing, giant gingerbread houses, and the very fact that we crash landed here, it's like we just jumped in a fairytale book."

"There are many things in the world where seeing is believing can be limited" says Gus. " There are countless things you can believe without seeing it yourself, like your very own heart, you can't see it with your own eyes, but you know it's within you"

"I'm fully aware of that at least, and I honestly know this place is real" Says Gary as he felt his heart beat.

The room went silent, and the brothers slowly drift to sleep in a world they never knew existed.

It's been 3-4 years since i touched this fic or this site, decided to come back because of a little inspiration and just remembering of this fics existence, I shall continue to update until the end. I Also decided to adapt the fic to current season to make it go with the flow. This is also just a revised and reworked chapter of the old ones.

P.S. I'm a bit rusty when it comes to writing, so sorry for the lack of writing...
