Rarity had finished gathering as many gems as she could've from the boulder and started to head down the mountain when she suddenly heard what seemed to be a baby crying. Upon investigating the sound, Rarity came across a recently hatched Baby Dragon.

"Oh, you poor thing..." Rarity said before grabbing the baby dragon and putting it on her back. "I best get you home to mother and father; I will convince them to adopt you into our family as my little sister." The unicorn added before she headed for home.

Shortly after brining the baby dragon home, Rarity got two suprises. The first was that the dragon was a dragoness. And the second came shortly after: Rarity was getting an actual baby sister.

The dragon addition to the family was named Smolder by Rarity's parents, and over the course of the next six years, Smolder became just as much of Rarity's sister as her biological sister Sweetie Belle.

...No one would realize that a change of fate had just happened that day.
