Author's Note

Due to the nature of some upcoming episodes, there weren't a lot of changes nor full on details I could make that I could've changed nor was there much I could add on besides just a bunch of aftermath stuff. As such, I had to combine a bunch of these together in order to make as full of a chapter as possible.

Chapter 7 - Chewing Out (Several Episodes)

Feeling Pinkie Keen

"So the whole reason why Twilight was in bandages for the past several days is because she was figuring our Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense?" Smolder asked. "I have half a mind to give her a lecture about not questioning Pinkie Pie." She added.

"Don't Smolder. I know Twilight well enough to know that she wouldn't have just let it go. And while I believe Twilight's going to let go of trying to understand it, she might still try to figure it out in a different way." Spike said. "...Hopefully a way that doesn't involve her getting hurt." He added quickly.

Smolder opened her mouth but paused. "...I suppose even your sister has her quirks. Rarity somehow summons a couch whenever she faints." She said.

"So I've noticed. I've also noticed it's the same red velvet couch each and every time." Spike said.

"Yeah my sister has her own fainting couch. How she keeps summoning it whenever she needs to faint is beyond me, but I've learnt to stop questioning it." Smolder said.

"Well in the same way, I know Twilight's just trying to figure out some kind of explanation for Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense. Even if that explanation boils down to 'it's Pinkie Pie, best not to question it'." Spike said.

"You've got me there." Smolder said.

Sonic Rainboom

A couple of days after Rarity had taken over the Young Fliers Competition due to being given butterfly wings, Smolder was over at Twilight's house with Spike and the purple unicorn helping to give the orange dragoness some medicine for her suddenly sore throat with Rarity nearby.

"I was wondering what all that yelling was about yesterday. So, Smolder gave you a verbal lashing because of what happened at the Yong Flier's competition." Twilight said.

"She felt like she really needed to get it through to me that what I did was both reckless and short-sighted. It's my sister's way of showing that she cares for me I suppose." Rarity said.

"Still doesn't make what you did any less stupid." Smolder's voice was barely above a whisper right now.

"Easy Smolder..." Spike said giving the orange dragoness some medicine. "You really shouldn't be talking right now. Take some time to rest that voice of yours why don't you?" Spike said.

Twilight, seeing an opportunity to have a chat with Rarity, pulled the white unicorn into a separate room. "So Rarity, I can't help but notice that ever since Spike protected Smolder from that blast of Nightmare Moon's, your sister has been getting rather close to my brother." Twilight said.

"Don't be hard on her Twilight. She's tried to find the perfect dragon for herself for a long time, but every dragon so far has gone and turned out to be not what she wants. And yet, Spike seems to line up with her wants quite well. If things progress further, they might just actually work out. That would make me the happiest sister ever to see her finally find the dragon of her dreams." Rarity said.

"...I was going to say I really hope she knows he'll protect just about anyone. Spike's always been quite the protective one whenever it's someone in danger." Twilight said.

"Well then, I dare say he's perfect for her. She's always dreamed of being in love with a knight of honor, and it sounds to me like Spike fits that description to a T." Rarity said.

Twilight opened her mouth to counter, but then realized Rarity was right. "...Huh...how about that. Spike really does fit that description. Oh boy..." Twilight said. "...Guess I might want to get used to seeing Smolder and Spike together, because something tells me this was fated to happen." She added.

A Dog and Pony Show

The Diamond Dogs had thought they had stumbled onto a gold mine when they found Rarity.

...What they didn't expect was for Spike who had accompanied her to suddenly grow out of control.

"SPIKE PROTECT!" Spike had said in a really deep voice

"RUN, IT'S GODZILLA!" One of the Diamond Dogs yelled out.

"It's not Godzilla, it's just a giant dragon." Another diamond dog said.

"...You do realize that's not much of a difference right?" A third diamond dog asked.

"Fair enough point." The second diamond dog said before all the diamond dogs started to run off in pure fear.

After Spike returned to normal and returned to Ponyville with Rarity, Smolder practically smothered Spike with kisses after Rarity explained everything.

"You were right Rarity, I suppose Spike fits the definition of a knight to a T. Still, I didn't even know Dragons could suddenly grow and shrink in size like that." Twilight said.

"Technically, we can't, but Spike here is most certain special." Smolder said before she resumed smothering Spike in kisses. Spike meanwhile was just passed out with a dopy smile on his face.

"Won't deny that. Must be part of how I hatched him." Twilight said. "I'll have to ask Princess Celestia about this." She added. The two unicorns turned their attention to the two dragons.

"...When Smolder eventually finishes thanking Spike for protecting me." Rarity said.

"...Indeed." Twilight said.

Green isn't your Color

It was a couple of days after Fluttershy had that failed modeling career, and once again Smolder was in the library being given medicine for her sore throat.

"Again Smolder? Rarity was just being super jealous of Fluttershy landing a modeling career; she wasn't even being stupid this time." Twilight said.

"Doesn't make it any less something to get on her case about..." Smolder's voice was once again just barely above a whisper.

"Smolder, rest your voice. The yelling me and Twilight heard yesterday was just as loud as the last time." Spike said.

"It's just my sister's way of looking out for me." Rarity said.

"Fair enough." Twilight said.
