The day it all changed

W stretched a bit and yawned. Spirit felt rested and full of energy. He didn't sleep so well in-..

..well, he never slept in his entire life actually...

Anyway, it was quite a good experience. He looked around and noticed Micheal on the table. His 'bro' seemed to still be sleeping, because his flames were blazing weaker. W decided not to disturb him. Instead, he tried to memorize what happened previously...

8 hours earlier, Maretime Bay...

W and Micheal were sitting on an empty bench, watching as something was happening in the town. They were really small, and looked like toys forgotten by someone. Apparently, some kind of an emperor nailed really good. Unfortunately, it was way too loud to hear anything. Some ponies ran nearby, without noticing two spirits sitting on the bench. After all, being invisible had it's own advantages.

W clapped his 'hands' "So, I guess this is it for today.." he levitated from the bench.

Micheal shrugged "I guess so. I mean, since you are loudphobic... If that's even a word" he looked at his 'brother' with a faceless expression...As always.

W crossed arms on his chest and averted his face "Yeah yeah... Whatever"

Micheal levitated towards him "I wonder, what will happen tomorrow?" he put arms behind his head "I mean...It seems to be kind of a big deal and stuff"

W shrugged "Who knows" he the begun levitating up slowly "I suggest that we go. All this boice makes me feel uncomfortable"

Micheal snorted "Sure thing, princess"

The spirits levitated into the sky. They saw nearly every part of the city from this high. Houses, with lights lit in them, a light house and an ocean... One would say that it's nothing special, but for these two, all that was their life.

Micheal sighed "You know? I'm actually jealous" he crossed arms on his body "Those ponies can taste food, feel something under their er...Hooves. Talk to each other..." he then turned to W "Don't take me wrong, I love talking with ya. Just... It gets boring sometimes, yes? No offence"

Spirit waved off "None taken and I can totally understand you"

Then, Micheal's voice changed "But their fluff...Oohh..." he looked up in the sky, menacingly "It simply hypnotizes me...I'd do anything to just touch it..." his body darkened a bit.

W looked at his friend frightened "M-...Micheal..?"

Then, blue spirit chuckled and came back to normal "PFT- You should have seen- BWAHAHAH" he started rolling in the air laughing.

W was idle and then groaned "Gosh...MICHEAL!" he face palmed.

It took blue spirit some time to calm down "Ehe heeh...Dude, that reaction..."

W looked at his friend "Just...How did you change your color?"

Micheal spinned a bit and his blue flames became lighter, almost the same color as W "Did you know we could do this stuff?!"

W was confused "I did not"

Micheal changed back "Well, let's go back now! I might even teach ya how to do it!"

Spirits started flying across Maretime Bay. Aura around city was...Disturbing to say the least. Ponies were worried, scared...Still, spirits continued flying for around 10 minutes, before they stopped in front of abandoned building. It was a lonely brick house with withered walls. It's windows were surprisingly clean, and door working. It was a bit further from the city itself. Ponies were afraid to go near to building, since they thought it was haunted.

Well, it was partly true now.

Spirits flew inside through the opened window. It was...Tidy inside. There wasn't any rubbish, dust or dirt. It was a simple small room with wooden floor, brown walls and two windows. The only furniture inside was an old sofa and a shelf with some items on it. Those were some weird looking rocks, old looking toppat, small ball and a pot with a bright red rose.

W landed on the sofa and exhaled "Man, I still can't belive that we can get comfy even with our bodies!" he put arms behind his head.

Micheal seemed to smirk, though you couldn't tell due to their bodies appearance "But it's good! I mean, we could end up like some crazy creatures because.." he changed his voice into a brutal one "..I feel nothing but pain..." he looked menacing.

W clapped with his hands "Not bad, not bad!" he then pointed his limb out "But you won't fool me this time!"

Micheal bowed to him "Glad I cou-"

Suddenly, both of them felt strong vibrations in the air. The looked at each other, and then at the window. Weird looking wave was approaching at the high speed. Spirits didn't even get the chance to escape. Wave went through both of them, pinning spirits to the sofa...

And then, everething went dark...

W grabbed his head "Gibus Smite!" he fastly levitated towards window. Glass in it was shuttered. He looked at the city from a far and...Nothing changed. It was evening, and lanterns in the city were active. Though something still seemed to be off. Now it felt more...Friendly in the city? Not like it was dangerous before anyway. Still, weird warmth could be felt from the town.

W scratched the back of his head and heard groaning from behind. Micheal woke up, and his flame became much stronger.

He put arm to his face "Geez..." he looked at his friend "Yo W, what happened?" he managed to levitate up.

W shrugged "No idea, guess that's why all those ponies were nervous"

Micheal yawned and looked around "Gosh...Why is it so dusty?"

W seemed to raise his eyebrow "What do you..?"

Now that W got a propper look, he noticed that place was indeed dusty. Not critically of course, but still.

W put arm to (probably) his chin "Huh...Just how long were we out for?"

Micheal shrugged "No idea, but what about we check on the Bay?"

W nodded "Yeah, that might explain something"

They flew out of the building by using broken window...And weren't able to take off. They did manage to fly out of the house though.

Micheal looked down "..huh?" he tried to levitate higher, but didn't succeed.

W met the same problem "What in the name of..?"

They looked at each other confused. It was the first time they had problems with levitating. Usually, it was happening automatically.

W put one of his limbs to his face "What is going on..?" he started to 'walk' in circles, mumbling to himself "The wave...It had those vibrations. Perhaps those made us limited in our abilities..Wait, maybe they did something bad to us?! What if-"

Micheal sighed "And there we go..." he levitated towards W and put hand on spirit's head.

W stopped and turned around "Huh?"

Micheal seemed smug "Dude, let's just relax"

W stared at his friend "Micheal, you DO realize that we lost one of our abilities, right?"

Micheal pointed at space under him "Well, dunno what are ya talking about"

W was confused "You...Why are you so calm?"

Micheal shrugged "Don't know, don't care" he then looked at the beach "..we have never actually being there"

W's hands were down "I...Geez man..." he calmed down due to Micheal's chill behaviour "You know what? Yeah, let's go"

And so they..Walked (?) towards the sandy area.

Meanwhile, Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, Pipp and Zipp were having picnic at the beach. It was a bit loud in Maretime Bay, since all ponies came together, so they decided to visit beach. It was quite cozy here, with waves and breeze.

Sunny put glass with orange soda down and sighed "I still can't belive we did it!" she had a big smile on her face.

Izzy nodded "I know right?!" she added soda to Sunnie's glass "but now everypony can have fun with each other!"

Hitch gulped down his donut "And hey! Once magic is back, can you imagine how many opportunities we have?"

Pipp was tapping her phone "Mhm~" she was way too into her stuff.

Zipp rolle her eyes "Geez sis, can you put your phone down for at least 2 seconds?"

Pipp sceptically looked at her sister "Hmpf! Of course!" she put phone away...For two seconds and then took it again.

Zipp facehoofed "I didn't mean...Ugh, whatever.."

Sunny looked at the beach "..what about we walk around here? It might seem that it's just sand, but it's actually very interesting if you walk around"

Hitch nodded "Yup! Once we managed to find the entire crab family!"

Izzy gasped "Oh oh! Let's go!"

Pipp stood up as well "Eh, guess having a new wallpaper on the phone wouldn't hurt!"

Zipp was stretching "Mhh...Well, come on then!"

And so they started exploring the beach. Sunny was telling her friends how she used to walk around here. Though it was pretty rare when she did. There were no waves on the water surface. Stars were gleaming weakly. It was quiet...Untill they heard distant groaning and complaining.

"GAAH! Sand is in my EVERETHING!"

Sunny chuckled "Guess somepony isn't lucky today"

Another voice answered "Phah! Got ya!"

Groaning was the answer...

Hitch sighed "Guess somepony needs help now"

Izzy gasped "Oh oh! New friends!" she started bouncing towards the voices and dissapeared behind rocks.

Zipp snorted "Just make sure to not freak them out, you hear me?"

Sunny looked at her friend "Zipp! Izzy is sure uh...Hyperactive a bit. But it's not THAT bad after all!"

Pegasus smiled "Oh please, you know I was joking!"

Hitch put hoof behind his neck "Uh...I think it got a bit...quiet"

Pipp shrugged and took a photo of the beach "Well, yeah, it's a beach after all"

Hitch shook his head "No, I mean...REALLY quiet"

Now that they listened, the only sound that stayed was the weak breeze. They looked towards the direction where Izzy dissapeared...

Micheal levitated away from his friend "Catch me if you can!"

W (seemingly) rolled his eyes "Why would I?" he was trying to dust himself off "Why did you throw this into me?!"

Micheal flew solid 10 meters away from W "Dun-" he bumped into something and nearly fell on the ground "Ouf..."

He shook his head and looked up, expecting to see something like a rock or a tree or...Something that he could bump into. Instead, there stood surprised unicorn. Micheal just levitated there, confusd. Usually, he would just go through the living being, and that's it. It felt really weird...And fluffy. He then looked at her face...It almost looked like she could actually see him. Unless...

W turned around and witnessed the scene. He rolled his eyes in amusement and snorted "Geez..."

Group of ponies appeared behind the rocks. Their eyes were widened as they looked towards lavender unicorn...Mostly towards Micheal direction though. W got a bit tense. That's actually kinda funny. First they can't levitate high, then sand and now this? It's almost like that wave from before made their bodies physical...And visible...Which would explain today's bizzarness...

And there we go...Another story. And this will have a few chapters, like an introduction. Then MAYBE, I will release some one shots connected to it...But boy, I like this so far!

The first contact

"Oh..."

W froze in place, so did ponies. He was analyzing everething as fast as he could.

'Alright, wave from earlier made us visible and physically stable. That means, ponies can now interract with us. As far as I can tell, thay can get scared easily. Add the fact that we were living here for a while now without them knowing and...Shit!'

He quickly rushed towards Micheal.

While mares were staring at the unknown being, Hitch was analyzing everething as fast as he could.

'Alright Hitch...There are those weird looking things. They look EXTREMELY dangerous...But so did pegasi and unicorns before the magic returning. Wait...Maybe they are creatures awakened by this? Just how long did they sleep for? Pretty long for sure. Which means that they must be hungry...OH APPLES!'

Hitch quickly sprinted towards Izzy.

Micheal stared in unicorn's eyes. Now it was different from before...She was focused on him. It felt...Good? Micheal tilted his head slightly.

'Wait, does it mean that I can...'

He carefully raised his limb.

Izzy looked at the unknown creature. It was looking back at her with visible curiosity. When it tilted it's small head, Izzy nearly melted.

'Aww, he is so cute! Can he talk though? And is it HE in the first pla-'

She noticed creature's movement. Izzy locked her eyes on it's limb as it...

Booped her nose.

They both quietly gasped.

'She is so fluffy and adorable!'

'He is so warm and cute!'

Out of all creatures standing there, Pipp was the only one who was able to move. Well, it was mostly her habit...To snap a picture. Pipp didn't even notice that she did it.

Suddenly, both unicorn and spirit felt that they were dragged from behind. Micheal and Izzy were yanked away from each other.

Hitch and W both shouted "GET BACK!"

Micheal flew a little back and fell on sand. Izzy got pushed away and landed on her rump.

When W appeared before Hitch he covered himself with his limbs. Sheriff accidentally slapped him with a hoof, while turning. It sent the spirit back, to the Micheal.

"OUF!" W landed near to his friend. He groaned and put arm on his head.

Micheal looked at him and quickly moved towards W "Oi, W, you alive there?!" he helped him up.

W shook his head "I guess..."

Micheal looked back at the ponies "Why would he do it to you..?"

W hissed as he pressed arm on his head "Don't know...But we better go back.."

Finally, all of the ponies snapped out of their trans. Zipp, Sunny and Pipp ran towards Izzy. Unicorn simply clipped her eyes, processing what just happened.

Sunnny shook her "Izzy! Are you alright?!"

Zipp quickly moved her wings in front of the unicorn "Ahooy! Maretime Bay to Izzy!"

Unicorn shook her head and clipped her eyes "Oh...Uh, yeah, I'm alright!"

Hitch looked at her and then back on the unknown creatures...Who weren't there.

Hitch quickly looked around "Oh no...OH PEBBLES!"

Sunny looked at him "Something is wrong?"

Hitch quickly walked around "In fact, yes! And thing time, it might be something BIG!" he looked up in hopes of somehow finding creatures in the sky "They are GONE!"

Zipp landed near to him "Isn't that like...Good?"

Hitch nervously chuckled "Good? No that's terrible! We don't know what those things are! What if they are dangerous? What if Maretime Bay is under threat?!"

Izzy looked at her nose and rubbed it with her hoof "I dunno...The blue one seemed cute and harmless"

Hitch turned around "Oh, he sure did..." he then quickly raised his hoof and pointed at unicorn "But what if it was fake! What if they are trying to fool us?" he approached Izzy and narrowed his eyes "Besides, what did he do to you?"

Izzy tilted her head "Booped me I think?"

Hitch hesitated "He...What?"

Izzy giggled "This cute little buddy booped me on the nose!"

Sunny rubbed back of her head "Well, that defenetly sounds friendly" she then looked at the sheriff "Hitch, I think you overreacted again.. "

Hitch shook his head "Well, alright...Maybe I DID" he then raised his hoof "But in my defence, I will say that I was helping my friend!" his eyes widened "Besides...There were two of them...What if there are a lot of those things, and now they will invade us?!"

Sunny face hoofed "Oh my...Hitch, calm down!"

They started to argue with each other. Izzy and Pipp were sitting in the middle, glancing at both of them.

Zipp suddenly stomped with her hoof, gaining attention "Alright guys, it's all interesting and stuff, but what are going to do now?"

Hitch's ears fell back "That's...A good question"

W with the help of Micheal sat down on the sofa, grunting. It took them some time to get back home, since they couldn't fly as good as they did before. Plus Micheal had to carry W. They both were breathing hard.

Micheal huffed "Damn...Who knew that those ponies were so strong?"

W put a hand to his face and groaned "More like we are so weak...This slap wasn't even hard enough to be considered harmful" Spirit layed back on his back "Not for ponies at least"

Micheal raised his arms "But why would he hit you?!"

W facepalmed "Because YOU acted way too fast!"

Micheal levitated there
, confused "..what do you mean?"

W sighed "OK, look...Those ponies never saw something like us before. For sure they would be at least frustrated!" he then pointed at Micheal "BUT in addition, one of those mysterious creatures thinks that it would be a good idea to act reckless and...What did you even do to this pony?"

Micheal seemed to smile innocently "I booped her!"

W was dumbfounded "..You what?"

Micheal repeated "I bo-"

W interrupted him "No, no, I understand what do you mean. WHY did you do this?"

Micheal shrugged "I dunno. But I think she looked really cute"

W raised a bit "So, you decided to risk with your and my lives, maybe ruin our first impression on them...Just to boop a pony..?"

Micheal processed what his friend said and nodded "Yeah!"

W stared at him. He then slowly raised from the sofa. W levitated towards Micheal and put his hand on spirit's...shoulder?

W raised his head "You know...I should probably be angry and stuff. But..."

Micheal got a bit nervous "..but?"

W sighed annoyed "I am mad...But not as much as I thought I would be. Maybe I kinda expected it from you" he removed his hand and plumped back onto the sofa "Well, I think we better start thinking. Fighting wouldn't bring us anywhere anyway"

Micheal tilted his head "Start thinking ab-"

W interrupted him again "About our current actions. We can either try to avoid ponies at this point and try to fly and become invisible again...Somehow" he huffed "Or we could try to meet uo with those again...Which is easier, but it has risks"

Micheal hummed "Ah! I like the second plan!"

W looked at him, seemingly annoyed "Didn't you hear that this plan had RISKS?"

Micheal shrugged "Not unless we try something bad, right?"

W wanted to argue, but then thought "..You know what? Yeah, you've got the point. We will meet those ponies soon"

Micheal tilted his head "Why not now?"

W raised both his hands "First, I'm tired. Second, it will just feel weird. We escaped, and now we are coming back. Kind of embarrassing, you know?"

Micheal rubbed back of his head "..yeah, kind of"

Hitch was in his station with Sunny. Sprout was away right now, as well as Izzy, Pipp and Zipp. Sheriff was thinking about the recent events.

Hitch groaned in frustration "APPLES! What do we even do at this point?!" he walked in circles "Even if we manage to find them...Will they listen? Can these creatures even understand us? What if they become hostile?!" he then stopped "Wait...What if they come for revenge?!"

Sunny started to really worry about her friend "Hitch, I think that you are exaggerating.."

Sheriff turned around and looked at his friend "Sunny, we are talking about the unknown, levitating and BLAZING creatures! Yes, they might be small...But we know absolutely NOTHING about them!" he then sat on the floor and put hooves on his head "And I even hit one of them! Do you understand that I could have-"

Hitch stopped talking when Sunny put her hoof on his mouth. She looked a bit annoyed, yet worried.

Sunny removed her hoof "Sure, we have never even thought that there could be something like those...Creatures" she smiled "But I'm pretty sure that everething will be fine. We will rest today and tomorrow, we will look for them. How is that for a plan?"

Hitch stared at her and then chuckled "Oh Sunny, you always have a way to cheer me up...You know what? Yeah, let's do this!" he then stood up "Besides, stressing out won't help us at all. Let's go and get our well deserved rest!"

Sunny raised her hoof up "Now THAT'S a Hitch I know!"

And so, two ponies exited the station and walked towards their homes. They had a job to do tomorrow. And they had to get their rest to be prepared

Micheal was already asleep. He just layed on the sofa and...Turned off. At least that's what W assumed. He on the other hand, was levitating in front of the flower. W was staring at it for a good 10 minutes now. He felt something...Weird. Something he never experienced before.

W extended his limb and gently touched the plant's leaf "We are...Alive?.."

The second encounter

The sun was rising above the Maretime Bay. Not even the birds were awake yet. In fact, the whole town was still asleep.

Well, most of it at least.

Hitch was wide awake, and moving towards the Lighthouse. He sure COULD try to find those things and negotiate with them. But extra help would be nice. After all, you can't be too careful when it comes to...Something like that! Hitch approached the door and knocked at it. After there was no answer, he repeated the move.

When he was about to do it for the third time, Sunny opened the door, seemingly tired "..Hitch..It's 5 in the morning..."

Hitch smiled "Exactly! It's the best time to deal with any problem! Including..." he moved his hoof in a circular motion.

Sunny face hoofed "Look...Don't you think that it's too early?"

Hitch shook his head "Not at all! In fact, I'm pretty sure that this way, we will show them that we take this matter seriously!"

Sunny opened her mouth, but then thought for a second "..What if we confuse them this way?" she decided to play by his rules.

Hitch raised his eyebrow, still smiling "What do you mean?"

Sunny averted her eyes "Well, what if they think that we want to...Hurt them? You wouldn't want that, right?" she didn't really think about the answer since she wasn't fully awake.

Hitch chuckled "Oh Sunny! How possibly could they missunderstand an extremely early visit for..." his smile slowly faded away "..they will probably think that we want to set up an ambush...And..!" his eyes widened "OH APPLES! How didn't I think about that?!" he started to panic.

Sunny sighed "There we go..."

The Not-So-Abandoned-House was quiet...As it should be. Micheal's fire flickered, as he started to move again. Spirit raised his head and seemed to stretch.

Micheal exhaled and raised his body "Woah! I could get used to this...Sleeping!" He then looked around in order to find W...Who was asleep on the shelf nearby to the flower.

Micheal managed to levitate to his level "Daww, silly W! That's not how you are supposed to sleep!" he then started to think "I can't leave you like that...You just won't get all that good sleep! What can I do..." he raised his head and hummed.

"Hold on...Yesterday I threw some sand into him..." he then gasped "Waaaaait! I also touched the pony!" he quickly moved behind W and rubbed his hands "Alright, let's try it!" he started to push W...Successfully! "Oh yeah, one point for Micheal!" however, while spirit was cheering, he didn't see where he was pushing his friend...Which lead to W falling down on the floor. Some sparks appeared and quickly dissapeared around his almost flame less body.

Micheal felt that he wasn't pushing anything and looked down, grabbing his head "Oh shhhh..." he quickly descended and (with troubles) managed to put him on the sofa. Micheal exhaled loudly and shook his head "Well that's MUCH better, right?" he then looked at his hands "Huh, why are they so...Gloom all of the sudden? Ans why do I feel this...Thing?" he noticed that it was harder for him to levitate.

Suddenly, Micheal felt something...Pleasant. Like the air suddenly started to smell delicious? He didn't even notice how he flew out of the window and headed in the direction of the smell.

Whatever it was, Micheal WANTED it...

Darkness...

That's all that W could feel, see and hear...

Suddenly, his eyes opened.

All he could see, was the extremely bright white orb. W was shouting something...But he couldn't hear anything. Micheal was here as well, facing the sphere. Suddenly a bright flash blinded W.

And he screamed.

W quickly raised on the sofa. His breathing was chaotic, and flames big. W managed to steady himself and exhaled. His flames calmed down after some time too.

"What the fuck was that?!" he then raised his eyebrow "..fuck? What is 'fuck'?" W shook his head "No, I will deal with it later...Micheal, we gotta-" he looked around "..Micheal?"

W levitated up and scanned the whole place "Micheal where are you hiding?! It's not the time to play your idiotic games!"

However, as he flew around the house, inspected every single corner ..And came to the conclusion.

"This idiot...WHERE DID HE GO?!"

W was worried sick. He didn't know what those ponies could do to him...Sure, W couldn't assume that they were evil just yet, but they had to be more careful. Without hesitation, spirit flew out of the broken window.

"Why would you go NOW?!"

Izzy and Pipp were sitting outside the cafe, eating donuts. They chose this place because it was on the edge of town, which meant it was quieter.

Izzy finished one of the donuts "Hey, where is Zipp by the way?"

Pipp was on her phone "Well, Hitch called her and Sunny to discuss what they are going to do with those things from yesterday"

Izzy hummed "Well, I'm pretty sure that we can easily become friends!" she then giggled "I mean, don't you think they are cute?"

Pipp raised her head "Now that you mention it...Yeah, they are! It would be nice to take some pics with them!" she smiled at the thought.

Izzy jumped up "Oh, I can't wait!"

Pipp nodded "Yeah, but first, let me try those.." she looked at the empty dish "..donuts?"

Izzy rubbed her chin "But I'm sure I left at least one.." she then gasped "Oh no! I left my friend without a treat! I go-"

Pipp interrupted her "Oh it's ok Izzy, really! Besides, I can-"

Now Pipp was interrupted by a weird noice. It was like fire crackling with chumping, but quieter and sounded...Awkwardly hungry? Pipp and Izzy looked towards the source of the noice. To be more precise, towards the alley between cafe and a nearby building.

Micheal was watching at two ponies from behind the tree. They seemed awfully familiar...But his focus was on round objects on the table. For some reason, he wanted at least one of those. Micheal watched as the unicorn ate one of them, leaving the last one.

He became tense "This is it Micheal...Your last chance! Think, think!" spirit stated to hit his head with the arm. He then noticed that unicorn got distracted. Micheal's heart(?) started to beat slower, as he focused on the plate.

'This is it!'

Micheal pulled his hands towards the donut. Sudden 'ZAP' The next thing he knows, is that he is somewhere else...But after looking around for a bit, Micheal noticed something awesome in his hands.

Spirit seemed to open his mouth in amazement. He was holding the thing ponies were eating. Without any hesitation, spirit brought the donut to his face. He didn't know what he was doing, it just seemed right. Micheal was consuming the dough and the cream with so much pleasure, that he couldn't notice anything around him. Not even the two figures that were peeking at him from behind the corner.

Micheal exhaled, satisfied "Well, that definitely was something!"

A sudden flash from behind made him yelp. Spirit panicked and started to rapidly fly in the alleyway, bumping into walls and throwing small boxes down. Two gaps were heard from behind, as Micheal bumped into a wall too hard and fell down.

Everething went dark. Again...

Pipp and Izzy looked shocked. The creature from yesterday was there, lying on the floor. The flash from Pipp's phone made it panic. It seemed to lose consciousness due to the hit. Izzy and Pipp exchanged glances.

Unicorn started to approach the creature. Pipp stopped her friend "Wait!"

Izzy looked at her "What? Are we supposed to leave this little guy here?"

Pipp hesitated "I..." she then sighed "You are right..."

Izzy looked back at the creature. It's flames were a little weaker now, but they were there. Unicorn approached it and kneeled down a little "Hey, he is not hot at all!" she poked it with her hoof.

Pipp approached it as well "Hold on, where will we take it to?"

Izzy hummed and rubbed her chin "Weeeeell...Oh! I have an idea!" she turned towards her friend with a smile "What about we bring him to the bright house?"

Pipp looked up I'm thoughts "This sounds...Hold on" she looked back with raised eyebrow "How do you know if it is a he?"

Izzy giggled "I heard him talking yesterday!"

Pipp's eyes widened "Whaaaaa?" she looked at the creature "But that's- OH SWEET CLOUDS IZZY!" she quickly moved towards her friend "Do you understand what will happen to this poor thing if we bring him to Sunny?!"

Izzy tilted her head "No?"

Pipp's face became over dramatic "She will go full Sundora..."

Izzy opened her mouth "Oh gosh! How did I forget?" she then hummed "But wait, what do we do then?"

Pipp put a hoof on her chin. Her mouth turned into a smirk, as an idea popped in her head.

Sunny, Zipp and Hitch were in the bright house. They collected samples of the sand from the place where they met creatures yesterday to examine them. Sunny was examining the pile using some instruments upstairs. In fact, she was doing it for a while now.

Zipp groaned as she shifted her position on the sofa "Sunny, why did you even need me?"

A voice from upstairs answered "You were the one I the air, remember? If it wasn't for you and your sharp eye, we couldn't have found the place!"

Zipp snorted and layed her head on the cushion "Sure sure..."

Hitch called out from the kitchen "Well, look on the bright side! We managed to get a trail of those creatures. Who knows what secrets they hide" ge then came out with a plate in his hoof that contained cinnamon buns "Besides, I'm pretty sure that those will make it up to you" Hitch placed it on the table.

Zipp smirked "You know how to make deals"

When she was about to grab one of the buns, door opened. There stood Izzy and Pipp. However, something was off. Pipp didn't hold her phone as usual, and Izzy was awkwardly quiet.

Hitch smiled at them "Ah, hello girls! How were the donuts?"

Pipp answered "Oh, they were uh...Fine!"

Zipp glanced at her sister, but said nothing. She simply reached for the bun and started to eat it. Pipp and Izzy cake inside. Pegasus sat near to her sister, and unicorn relaxed at the bean bag. The tension was starting to grow.

Izzy then smiled and tried to set up a conversation "Sooo~ How are you all doing with this research?"

Hitch shrugged as he started to clear the kitchen "No idea. She didn't tell us a thing about it. I don't really want to distract her either" he then came back from the kitchen "How are the bu-"

A sudden 'Finally!' from the second floor cut Hitch's sentence. Everypony looked at the stairs. Soon enough, Sunny started to come down in a hurry, carrying some kind of a lense.

Earth pony pumped her fist up "I finally made a breakthrough!" she looked really happy.

Hitch looked at her curiously "And what did you manage to find?"

Sunny smiled "Not just find. I managed to create a devise to find those creatures!" she placed the lense on the table.

Zipp narrowed her eyes at it "Yeeah...And what does it do?"

Sunny took the lense again "Well, remember how you asked why we were collecting sand?" after her friend nodded, she continued "We were doing it to collect ad much magical essence as possible. There were a lot of records about magic in the old books about Equestria, and I managed to get some of those" Sunny motioned her head to the second floor "The creatures we met yesterday are, obviously, magical. So what I did was collect magical essence from the sand, and transfer it into this lense! As easy as that!" she proudly smiled and closed her eyes.

Everypony looked at her confused. Hitch awkwardly rubbed back of his head "I think that...Nopony here quite got it"

Sunny opened her eyes un disbelief. Everypony nodded awkwardly at Hitch's comment. She sighed and picked up the lense "OK, I will try to make it easier for you. Spirits left the magical trail after they dissapeared" now everypony started to understand where she was going. Sunny smiled and raised her hoof "Wait a second, I have a handle for it" she galloped upstairs.

Zipp sighed "Sometimes she surprises me more than Izzy..."

Named unicorn objected "Hey!"

Hitch chuckled "Well, you know how she can be when it comes to magic or science"

Pipp nodded "I know, she is just ONSESSED with it!"

Zipp snorted "Who says!"

Before Pipp could say anything, Sunny came down with a magnifying glass. Everypony looked at it with curiosity.

Sunny raised the glass "So, it's very easy. It will show fresh trails of those creatures of there are any"

Hitch approached her "Can I try it?"

Sunny giggled "Sure but it's not like they vere or will be here" she gave the glass to Hitch.

Sheriff hummed and pulled it closer to his eye. He looked around. Hitch then clipped with his eyes, confused.

Sunny tilted her head "Is something wrong?"

Hitch looked at the magnifying glass with raised eyebrow "Well uh...There is this weird blue transparent mist around here...Is it ok?"

Sunny froze in place "Wait...Are you serious?"

Hitch nodded "Yeah, like-"

Sunny snatched glass out of Hitch's hoof and started to look around chaotically. Zipp flew to her and put hooves on her shoulders "Hey there, calm down! What is wrong?" Hitch approached her too.

Sunny inhaled some air and slowly exhaled it "Alright...So the trail I meant is this mist" she carefully inspected surroundings and noticed the trail coming out of the door.

Everypony followed her glaze and realized what that meant. Hitch gulped a bit "W-Wait...Does it mean..."

Sunny slowly turned to the group "There might be something else among us..."

Zipp moved with her hoof "Wait let's not get crazy yet. Maybe there is something wrong with the glass, or uh..." she knew really well that everething was alright with the device. Zipp sighed and dropped her head. Pipp and Izzy however, became really quiet.

Hitch looked at the group "OK, let's just find it and...Act as good as possible, alright?" he turned back to Sunny, nodding.

Sunny returned the gesture and approached the doorway "OK...It went through the door" she slowly looked after the trail. It let towards the table and sofa. Sunny clipped her eyes, confused "Wait, how did it manage to slip through the whole living room without us noticing?"

Pipp slightly sweated "Well uh...Maybe he- IT, was too small?"

Zipp put a hoof to her chin "Well, I would definitely notice it then"

Hitch nodded "Yeah, besides, I'm pretty sure I would hear it"

Sunny continued, her eyes grew wider "That- That doesn't make any sence!" she looked at the sofa, Pipp and...

Everypony froze in place as their eyes fell on Izzy (Except for Pipp, she played it). Unicorn clipped her eyes, confused "Is there something in my mane?"

Hitch, with shaking hoof, pointed at her head and nodded "T-There...I-Is.."

Izzy slowly moved her eyes up. There, sticking out of her mane was the creature. It was aggressively consuming the cinnamon bun. After the silence went for some time, it raised it's head and looked around to find our why ot became so quiet. Creature looked at the ponies and froze.

Micheal gulped down the piece he was eating. He awkwardly raised it's fiery part. It's concerning could be heard clearly.

"Heyo?"

Everypony stared at the creature, frozen. Different thoughts were running through their heads.

'What is it doing in the Izzy's mane?'

'Did it just talk?!'

'Is it dangerous?'

'I wish I could take a photo right now...'

Izzy shifted in her seat and started to whistle a tune, while looking away. Sunny and Hitch were about to say something, when creature spoke up.

"Damn! Those things are the best things I have ever-..What do you guys call it when you insert something like this in your faces?" it looked back at the dough.

Hitch clipped his eyes, visibly surprised "Well uh, we call it eating. And thank you for the compliment...I think?"

Izzy giggled "Awww! You guys are already becoming friends!"

Creature lowered it's head towards unicorn, being upside-down and still in her mane "What are 'friends'? And what I'm doing in your head?"

Sunny shook her head "It's called mane" she then looked directly at Izzy "And I'd like to ask you the same question, Izzy Moonbow"

Unicorn gulped a bit. It was the first time Sunny called her full name out "W-Well..." she looked at Pipp, cornered.

Zipp looked at her sister suspiciously "Pipp? Do you have to do something with this all?"

Pipp was looking into her phone now, she raised her head and tilted it "Oh, uh? Did you say something?"

Zipp nodded "Yep, you definitely are"

Pipp averted her eyes and sweated a bit "Uh...What do you mean? I was just on my phone and-"

Zipp raised her eyebrow "Even though it's turned off?"

Pipp clipped her eyes and looked down on the black screen "Oh...It is"

Hitch sighed "OK what about this. You two" he pointed his hoof at Izzy and Pipp "You will tell us what happened first, alright?"

Two mares nodded silently. Hitch smiled and then looked at the spirit "As for you uhm...What is your name?"

Spirit raised his head "Oh, I'm Micheal!"

Zipp snorted "Pft, what a weird name"

Sunny slightly pushed pegasus "She didn't mean it. Anyway..."

Everypony looked at Pipp and Izzy. They exchanged looks and sighed...

W was feeling terrible. Even though Micheal was extremely annoying time to time, he was still the only creature he could freely speak to. And besides, one of his kind. Spirit avoided crowded streets, moving through the alleyways.

He stopped behind the trash bin and looked around 'Alright, so what is my plan? I don't even know if I'm going in the right direction!' W quietly sighed and put arm on his eyes 'I wish I could just find him...'

W felt a little vibration in his. Spirit moved his hand away, confused. He down looked at his body "The hell..." W shook his head 'Doesn't matter, I have to focus right now' spirit raised his head and jerked back at the trash bin. It made a little noice, and W froze in place. Luckily, the only pony who was walking there just raised her ears and shrugged it off. Spirit exhaled and looked back at the path. There were glowing particles, levitating above the ground. They were forming some kind of a trail, that led somewhere. On the one end, it was a bit transparent.

W hummed 'Now that's...Curious' he looked across the line, trying to figure out where it led 'Well, I guess I'm might as well try it'

Spirit looked around. Spotting no ponies around him, W started to follow the line, trying to hide behind any possible cover.

Izzy was finishing her sentence "So uh, Pipp offered me to hide him in my mane, and then bring here"

Zipp looked at her sister "And why is so?"

Pipp put a hoof behind her head "Well, first, I thought that Izzy could bring him to her house and well...Make friends with him?"

Hitch raised his eyebrow "Wait, wouldn't it be easier if you just came home?"

Pipp sighed "Izzy wanted to say bye first"

Izzy shrugged "What? It would be mean if I didn't!"

Sunny giggled "Well, that is definitely a lot like you!" she then looked at the creature. Micheal was just slowly spinning above the ground. It looked like he was not scared or frustrated at all. In fact, it was like Micheal felt at ease. Even though he was MUCH smaller than they were.

She coughed it her hoof "So uh, Micheal?"

Creature stopped what he was doing and looked at Sunny "Yeah?"

She approached him. He was barely as big as her head "I'd really like to know what are you, if you don't mind me asking"

Micheal tilted his head in thought "Well, my bro told me that we are uh..Spirits, or something like that"

Sunny hummed in thoughts "Spirits...I think I read something about those somewhere" she then looked around and gasped "Wait, where is my notebook?!"

Hitch put the said item in front of her "There, don't panic yet!"

Sunny exhaled "Phew...Thank you Hitch!" she opened it, picked the pen from inside and started writing.

Hitch looked at Micheal "So uhm...By 'bro' you meant another spirit?"

Micheal nodded "Yep! His name is W!" he then raised his arms "Oh, you were that pony that sent my bro flying!"

Hitch averted his eyes and sweated a little "I'd rather not to mention it..." he sighed "I didn't mean to do it"

Micheal waved his hands "Nah don't worry. He isn't mad at you"

Zipp raised her eyebrow "So, you two are brothers?"

Micheal shook his head "Dunno, he didn't mind when I called him this way"

Pipp raised her phone "Hey, can I take photo?"

Micheal turned his head at her and tilted it "Wha?"

Pipp pressed the screen, but this time there was no flash. She smiled "Ar last, somewhat good photo!" she showed the picture to Micheal.

Spirit leaned towards it in amazement "Wooooaah! That's me? I thought I could see myself only in water!"

Izzy laid hear head onto the table right behind Micheal "You know, it's weird how you don't know what domany words mean. But you know what is 'brother' and a few other words" she clipped her eyes "Why is it so?"

Micheal approached her face and raised his hand "Well!.." he slowly lowered it "..well..." spirit sat on the floor and silently put an arm onto his chin(?). A few seconds later, his head started to smoke.

Hitch was confused "I think you broke him..."

Sunny tapped on her head with pen "She is right though. This is really weird.."

Zipp sighed "Alright, look" she pointed her hoof at the spirit "As long as-..Eh?" but he wasn't there.

A voice from behind was really curious "Woah! You guys have those flappy things?"

Zipp turned hear head around "How did you-?" spirit was there, looking at her wings "What do you think you are doing?" she moved away a little.

Micheal tilted his head at her behavior "I noticed that some of you guys have weird parts of the body" he pointed at Zipp's wings and then on Izzy's horn "Why?"

Sunny raised her hoof "Well, that's a good question! Actually, there are three-"

Zipp cut her off (before it was too late) "How did you move behind me?"

Micheal shrugged "Dunno"

Zipp and Sunny silently looked at him. Zipp groaned and rubbed her head, while Sunny's eyes sparked. Meanwhile, Hitch, Pipp and Izzy were eating the remaining buns.

Sheriff exhaled "Geez...Good thing that I didn't do something extremely bad on accident"

Izzy gulped her bun down "Do you think this will take long"

Pipp nodded as she grabbed a bun "Probably..."

Izzy's ears perked up "Hey, you took some photos earlier, right?" she looked at Pipp.

Pegasus nodded "Yep, let me show them..." she tapped something on her screen.

Hitch looked at her movements "How do you manage to do it so swiftly?"

Pipp smirked "Silently"

Izzy opened her mouth and looked at Hitch "What a move!"

Hitch rolled his eyes "Alright alright..."

Pipp opened her gallery "Alright, so here is the photo I took recently and the one I took earlier on accident!" she accidentally swiped again, showing the picture of Micheal booping Izzy.

Hitch clipped his eyes "Oh...So THAT'S what happened?"

Izzy nodded "Yep, I don't know why did he do it though"

"Because why not"

All three ponies looked behind. Spirit was levitating there, looking at the photo. When they looked at Sunny and Zipp, they saw their shocked faces, turned towards Micheal. Spirit looked up and tilted his head "Something is wrong?"

Sunny seemed to start vibrating. Her smile was growing larger and larger. She then looked towards her friends "Hey, I will need some help!" Everypony sweated and scooted to the exit.

Pipp giggled nervously "I uh...Wanted to take some photos around Maretime Bay!"

Zipp nodded "I will gladly help you with that!"

Both sisters left as fast as they could. Sunny looked at the unicorn and sheriff.

Izzy gasped "Oh! I completely and inconveniently forgot that I had to buy Pipp a donut! So uhm...Se you all later!" she smiled and ran away.

Hitch backed to the door "I uhm...Will give and buy donuts for Micheal and you! So that uh...You both have enough energy!"

Sunny hummed "That's a GREAT idea! Don't take long!"

Hitch was already behind the door "Alright! But I can't promise much!" he closed the door and sound of galloping hooves could be heard.

Sunny shook her head "Phew, nearly bursted here" she waved hoof at herself.

Micheal rubbed back of his head "Huh? What was it all about? Why are they scared?"

Sunny giggled "Oh, don't worry. It's just that they know about my passion about science and magic" she looked up "I can do a lot of crazy stuff when it comes to it"

Michel looked at her "But wait...I am magic, right? Does it mean you will go crazy now?"

Sunny smiled at him "Don't worry Micheal, I respect your choice and won't do anything that you don't agree to. It would be simply rude and awful"

Micheal raised his arm sup "Ah don't worry! I totally trust you!" he approached her.

Sunny lowered herself a little and looked straight in his eyes "Oh, thats good. Very good" there was a menacing spark in her eyes.

Micheal's body shivered. He looked all over it, surprised "Huh? What was that? It never happened before to me"

Sunny closed her eyes "Oh, I think it was fear"

Micheal seemed to puff his cheeks out "I didn't like it at all.."

W was still following the trail. Spirit was far enough from the town, so he could've around freely. It was really quiet and peaceful here. The trees around the dirt path, the quiet wind and distant noices of the town made W feel at ease. However, several details made his concerned.

First of all, Micheal would never want to walk somewhere quiet. At least that's what W thought. Second of all, the trail was way too high for Micheal. Since they started to be limited with their levitation, it wouldn't be possible to fly that high for them. But again, that's what he thought.

W shook his head and sighed 'I swear, if he got in trouble, I will make sure to...Do something'

Now that it was quiet and W had a path to follow, he noticed something weird. He felt awkwardly empty and weak. Spirit couldn't notice it earlier because he had to hide, but now...

W rubbed his flame body "Alright, this is something new now" he then slowed down a little "Hold on, why are those things weaker now?" His flames weren't as big and 'alive' as they were yesterday. W started to feel stressed and nervous about it.

However, before he could get any bad thoughts about it, W noticed a giant shadow. When he raised his head, spirit noticed a tall, very tall building.

W snorted "Well, now that is interesting. How did they manage to build it?" he shook his head "No, not right now, I gotta focus on the..." when he looked back at the trail his hands slowly fell "..objective"

The particles were leading towards this building. W face palmed "How the fuck did he-" he then stopped mid sentence 'This word again?' W groaned "DAMN IT WHATEVER!" he levitated towards the building faster than he usually is "I shouldn't care about what happened. All I have to do, is find this imbecile, save him and bring home" he became silent for a moment "..how will I do it though" He didn't know if there were any ponies inside the building.

Approaching voices made his thoughts wither away for later. W quickly found a rock and flew behind it. As the voices became closer, he could hear hoofsteps 'Four walking...And it look like they came from this building' he closed started to listen as voices became more or less clear.

"So uh, are you sure it was a good idea to leave them alone?"

"Come on Zipp! He will be fine. Sunny wouldnt hurt anypony just for science!" the sigh could be heard "At least I think and hope so"

"Well, thats the thing, he isnt a pony!"

A much more cheerful and louder voice came in "Come on guys! Little one will be fine, I'm sure!"

They came closer "You know what Izzy? Yeah, I trust Sunny. Besides, Micheal looked really tough. I'm pretty sure he can take her on!"

W froze in place 'Micheal?'

A sound of wings flapping could be heard "Well you three have fun. I will go and grab something for us"

A pony that was silent finally spoke up "Make sure not to spend all of our money" she chuckled.

As they all turned their heads away, W dashed towards the building.

"Well well well, look who is telling me that!"

But W didn't want or need to listen to them anymore. He was levitating as fast as he could. Spirit didn't even notice that his body was starting to emit small lightning sparks. He had just one thought in his head.

'Please, be alright!'

As W approached the building, he looked up. The nearby window was far too high for him. If it wasn't for the weird event, he could have easily levitate towards it. But right now, W couldn't.

Spirit groaned "Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!" he clenched his fists and his body started to spark even more. Spirit noticed it and teied tried to calm himself "Alright, not now, don't freak out..." he exhaled slowly and looked around "The door and other windows are at the same height. Of course..." W sighed and looked up "If only there was a way up.."

Spirit closed his eyes and imagined this window. It was there, as close as possible. All W needed, was a boost. Just a little dash towards it...As spirit thought about it, his body vibrated and he felt tingling all around it. W quickly opened his eyes "What the-" he bumped his head into a window and rubbed it. W noticed that he was levitating just above the windowsill "..fuck?"

He the shook it off "Later, all later" he looked into the window. It was a bit hard to see. Suddenly, he heard a muffled yelling.

"NO, STOP!"

W's body completely froze "M-Micheal.."

"PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU I WILL DIE!"

Spirit's hand started to shake "Die..?"

A loud thud could be heard. Everething went quiet.

W stood silent for a few seconds. Then, his flames started to glow. Lightning across his body became much more frequent.

Micheal was on the ground, holding his stomach(?). He was laughing extremely hard.

Sunny was giggling too "And after that, I just rammed into Hitch's sandcastle while pretending to be a princess assaulting it"

Micheal laughed for a few more seconds before breathing heavily "S-So you- You were supposed to be saved?! Whole you are this big?!" he was still on the ground.

Sunny nodded "We were really weird back then"

Micheal raised his hand "W-Woah, I bet W would just criticize both of you!"

Sunny shrugged "Who knows!" she then leaned down a bit "By the way, mind telling me about him?"

Micheal raised his body with hands "Oh, yeah, sure! Well, his fire is much lighter than mine. W is mostly either meanie or boring" he then hummed "I think he called that 'calm' and 'STOP BOTHERING ME', though I'm not really sure" he then added "But he is like, way smarter than I am!"

Sunny looked up "Interesting...Hold on" she then looked back at spirit "Didn't you mention that you two are very close?"

Micheal nodded "Yeah! Very very very close! 'Cuz we are like he said..." he cleared his throat and his voice changed "We two are the only of our kind, as far as I can tell" Micheal shook his head "Or something like that"

Sunny's eyes widened "Oh my hooves..." she then frowned "Hold up, doesn't that mean that he is probably looking for you?"

Micheal rubbed his head "He probably does..."

Suddenly, one of the windows shattered with a flash. Sunny yelped and lowered herself to hide behind the sofa. However, none of the shattered glass pieces hit the floor. When Sunny peeked at the window from the cover, she felt speechless. The pieces were all frozen in the air. The weird lighting like energy was going through every piece. In the middle of it, was blazing creature that remotely looked like Micheal, but much more lighter in color.

Looked at the Sunny directly "Where is my brother, where is the one you were torturing?!" it's voice was like a roar, echoing across the light house.

Micheal perked up "Oh hey, it's W!" he then peeked out and froze.

Just like Sunny. They couldn't move out of fear. The only thing they both could say was...

"Uh...Oh..."
