Chapter: 1
It seemed like any other ordinary day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and a cool autumn breeze blew through the town of Ponyville. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack were walking up the trail towards Sugarcube corner.   
"Oh boy this is going to be so much fun!" Pinkie Pie bounced up the road next to her friends, "This is going to be the biggest party EVER! Let's hurry girls!" Pinkie was so excited that she couldn't stop bouncing circles around Applejack.   
"Whoa there, sugarcube." Applejack's eyes followed Pinkie around her, "I'm sure the party won't start until y'all walk in." She laughed.
"Yeah Pinkie!" Ranbow Dash agreed as she flew above the two. "It's not a real party, unless you're there."
"Yeah, I guess you're right Dashie." Pinkie's bouncing slowed a bit, "I'm just so excited! This is going to be the bestest party Ever!" A large smile spread across her face as the three approached their destination.
Sugarcube corner was decorated even more than usual. There were several banners and lights decorating the building. As the sun started to set, the lights around the building lit up and started blinking. Pinkie burst into the building, almost bringing the door off its hinges. Rainbow Dash and Applejack followed right behind her walking into the bright and colorful building. Inside was covered with tons of colorful banners, music blasting from the DJ booth, and a large variety of snacks on a long gourmet table. Inside were Twilight and Fluttershy already enjoying the party.
Twilight was bugging the DJ about her music choices, and the DJ lifted her purple glasses up above her horn and started arguing back. While Fluttershy was trying a small portion of the food on the table. That's when Pinkie decided to burst in, "Let's get this party started!!!" As she burst in, Fluttershy jumped a bit and dropped a small sandwich.
Pinkie Pie pulled her party cannon from out of seemingly nowhere and pulled the string, causing a large amount of confetti and ribbons flying across the room. Applejack and Rainbow Dash entered the room and started to do their own thing. Rainbow Dash went to get some food and started to chat with Fluttershy, as Applejack went to break up the fight starting between Twilight and the DJ. After a while Rarity made her way to the party, fashionably late as usual. With everyone there, the party went into full swing. As the music blasted, the six friends danced on the dance floor.
After a while when the party ended, and the DJ had already left. Pinkie had already prepared a sleepover for her friends to stay for the night. They all accept and stay the night in Sugercube Corner. However, during the night a strange pink mist started to fill the room covering our hero’s. Then a blinding white light appeared following with them disappearing from the room entirely.
A small light burst through the thick tree line and shone onto the light purple coat of Twilight's body. She slowly awoke to see a small purple rat-like creature sniffing around her. "AHH!" Twilight screamed, startled by the creature she had never seen before. Her startled scream also startled the purple rat and caused it to flee into the dense thicket. Twilight wondered what kind of creature that was, but first she needed to find out where she was. She looked around the immediate area and could only see trees, bushes, and her friends still sleeping around her. She quickly started to wake everyone up and look around farther. With closer inspection, Twilight could see that the creatures in this forest were all very strange. She saw several large green Caterpillar-like creatures, several large birds with strange markings on their eyes, and more of those purple rats. The strange thing though was that they all looked the same, each rat, bird, and bug looked just like the last one. Twilight needed to know more, but right now she needed to figure out where they all were.
"That was some party!" Rainbow Dash yawned as she got up, "So where are we anyway?"
"That's what I would like to know." Twilight replied, "Why don't you fly up and get a look around?"   
Rainbow Dash flew up and broke through the tree line into the sky. She looked around and saw a small town, along with several roads north of the town, and a coastline to the south of the town. She went back to her friends and reported what she saw.
“From what I see there is a small town not too far from here.”
“Ok then. Hopefully we can get so help. Let's go.”
The six friends headed to the town and see if the ponies there could help them find their way back to Ponyville.
They made their way toward the town, shuffling through the tall grass. Ahead they saw strange creatures, these one walking on two limbs, wearing clothes and had hands or claws of sort. As they made their way through the tall grass, they and finally got out of it they stumbled to the front of a white building and next to it was a similar creature to the ones they passed. He looked to be older, wearing a white lab coat, and had several strange red and white balls on his belt. The strange creature spotted the six equines.
"Well would you look at that, new types of Pokémon? I should catch one to research it!" The man took a ball from his belt and threw it at Rainbow Dash. The ball bounced off the cyan colored pony, let out a beam of red light that engulfed her. Rainbow Dash disappeared in a red wisp, that then retreated into the red and white ball. The ball fell to the ground and started to shake.
"What in tarnation!"
"Oh, my word!"
"Oh... my!"
"Wowie!"
"What in Equestria was that!"
Everyone panicked as they watched their friend get sucked up into this ball. When the five started speaking, the older man took a step back in shock. "Y-You can talk!?" The man fell to the floor he was so shocked. The ball that was still shaking broke apart releasing Rainbow Dash.
"What the hay was that for!?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
"How fascinating!" The man regained composure and stood back up, looking over to the 6 ponies, "Pokémon that can talk? I haven't seen this since Team Rocket!"
Twilight approached the man with caution, he didn't seem like he wanted to hurt them, "I'm sorry, but were not these, 'Pokémon' that you speak of. We're ponies, simple unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies." She explained, "We were having a party at pinkie’s house and stayed there for the night, and now we woke up in this forest surrounded by what you called Pokémon. I think?"
"How interesting," He focused closely on Twilight fascinated, he realized how close he was getting and backed away, "Well it looks like this will take some research in order to figure out. My name is Professor Oak by the way."
"My name is Twilight Sparkle." Twilight gave a bow of respect due to his 'Professor' title.
"I'm Applejack."
"My name's Pinkie Pie." She jumped a bit excited to meet someone new.
Rarity pointed to herself, "Rarity."
"Rainbow Dash, you know, the one you hit with that ball." She rubbed her head a little bit where the ball hit her.   
“Yes. Again, sorry about that.” Professor Oak said scratching the back of his head embarrassed.
Fluttershy was distracted from the whole conversation, as she was looking with a wide-open mouth as she saw many animals she had never seen before. "And that's Fluttershy over there." Rainbow Dash introduced Fluttershy, Fluttershy smiled and turned her attention back to the group.
Oak gave a slight bow after the introductions and continued, "Let's head back to my lab, we can discuss where to go next from there." Oak started walking down the path as the six followed behind him. They all walked down the path toward the town. As soon as they passed another patch of slightly tall grass Oak introduced the town, "This is Pallet Town." It was a small town with only a few buildings, two that stood almost identical to each other, and a large building past those two. The town was small, but it seemed like the perfect place for a fresh start.
The six friends and Oak went to the large building. Inside there were a lot of shelves containing those red and white balls from before, towers with glass with plastic borters, and there was also a small racket emanating from the back of the building.
"Get back here Marill! Give that back!" A crash came from the back of the lab. As everyone went back to see what happened, they saw a younger male holding on to a strange looking blue and white creature in his arms, while sitting in a large pile of those balls. The male had a green shirt and a red headband. "Hey Professor Oak, sorry about the mess. Marill got out of its pokeball and I had to give chase after it got into the pokefood." The guy took a ball off his belt and the Marill returned to its pokeball as he stood up.
"Ahh Tracy, it's no worry, we can clean up later." Oak reassured his assistant, "For now we have a different problem." Oak stepped to the side and showed Tracy the new guests. "Girls this is Tracy Sketchit, my assistant."   
"Hello Tracy." Twilight introduced herself first, she started to pick up some of the Pokeballs off the floor and set them up on the nearest shelf.
"Howdy." Applejack tipped her hat   
"Hiya!" Pinkie Pie hopped toward Tracy before getting pulled back by Rainbow Dash before she could knock over another shelf.
"Good day." Rarity nodded toward Tracy.
"Hi." Fluttershy shyly introduced herself.
Tracy fell back down again when he heard them speak, "Y-Y-You can talk!?" his voice cracked, "Pokémon that can talk! Professor you realize this is incredibly rare right?!"
"Yes, Tracy that would be rare, but they aren't Pokémon." Oak replied.
Oak turned to Twilight, "Now, Twilight, was it? Why don't you inform us about every detail of where you came from. I'm just fascinated about how you got here and where you could be from." Oak pulled up a chair and sat down.
"Alright Professor," Twilight sat down as well and started to tell the tale of her, and her friends, adventures in Equestria. Everything from her arrival, up to the incident with Discords reforming.
After a long conversation, Oak and Tracy knew all about Equestria and the Elements of Harmony. Oak pondered about all the information that he just listened to, "It seems like these, Elements of Harmony, you six represent are your only chance to get back to your dimension, but the big problem is that you don't have them with you at the moment." He got up and went to a single bookshelf that sat in the corner. Oak looked through the books until one caught his eye, he took out the book and sat back down. "The only advice I could give you is to go seek out the wisdom of the champions" Oak balanced the book in his lap, "Maybe finding them will give insight to what you should do in order to get back."
Twilight thought for a moment and turned to her friends, "What do you think girls?"
"Sounds like fun!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.
"Ah reckon it's the only way." Applejack agreed.
"I don't mind, as long as I can see more of these cute little creatures."
"Sounds like an adventure! I'm in!" Rainbow Dash said imagining that this would be an adventure like in the Daring Do books.
"As long as it doesn't take too long." Rarity concluded.
"Alright we're all set then, let's get going girls." Twilight was about to head out to leave before Oak stopped them.
"Now just a minute. It's a long journey ahead of you, and you all seem to have traits resembling Pokémon. That explains why you got sucked up into that ball earlier today." Oak warned as he stood up, "Also, if you are going to seek out the champions, you're all going to need to go through the Pokémon League. The champions don't just take visitors, plus the world can be a dangerous place if you don't have some Pokémon of your own, and if you all have the chance of getting caught by any old trainer it could be worse for you." Oak made his way to a pile of boxes and started searching through them.
"Well then what should we all do?" Twilight asked.
"If you give me a few hours, I could create something to nullify a Pokeball's ability to catch you." He pulled out several Pokeballs using his shirt as a bowl. "In the meantime, take a starter Pokémon and get acquainted. I just got each of the starters shipped to me from the other professors for research, but this seems to be a better use for them." He showed the girls 24 pokeballs and let them pick. They each took a pokeball and held them, looking over them not knowing who they picked.
Oak returned all the other pokeballs and set them in a special stand next to the PC. He turned back to the girls who were still staring at the pokeballs, "Alright, one more thing that you need before i get to work on that device." He opened a drawer under the PC and pulled out a fancy box. From that box he took out 6 strange devices. "This is the Pokedex, I first made this years ago. This device records the information on Pokemon. Their moves, level, type, everything. If you want to know something about Pokemon, it's in there." Oak handed each of the girls a Pokedex "Okay then, I guess you can go and aquatint yourselves with your Pokemon while I work on the devices. I suggest you bond with them in the back of my lab. we don't need you getting into trouble."
"But what about the others of this town?" Applejack noted.
"Don't worry, there are not many people that live around here, and the only people close to trainers here, are me and Tracy."
The girls nodded in confirmation and went outside. They decided to take their Pokémon and go off with them one on one.

                        Chapter: 2

Chapter: 2
The girls all left the lab. They had just gotten their Pokémon and Pokedex's. Now they each went to one part of the town to get better acquainted with their new partners.
Twilight & Mudkip
Twilight headed to the field next to one of the other two houses in the town. She looked down at the Pokeball in her hoof. She tossed the Pokeball on the ground in front of her releasing her new partner. In front of her stood a blue mudfish-like creature.
“Mudkip!” it cried out as it looked around for its new trainer. It looked at Twilight and kept looking around, "Mudkip?"  
"Over here," Twilight said with a smile, greeting her soon to be friend. "So, this is a Pokémon huh?" She looked over the Mudkip a little more. Just as she moved in closer, Mudkip looked over Twilight just as much as she did him. Twilight laughed a little bit, "Looks like you're just as curious as I am." The Mudkip nodded and seemed to smile at Twilight. "Oh yes! I almost forgot," She took out the Pokedex that Oak gave her, "I should be able to find out more about you from this." She pressed the button on the device and a back panel with another screen flipped up above the first screen. It lit up and showed Mudkip on the top screen. On the bottom screen were all kinds of statistics about this particular Mudkip. Before Twilight could make any remark about this technology, The Pokedex started to speak.
“Mudkip the Mudfish Pokémon. In water, The fin on Mudkip’s head acts as highly sensitive radar. Using this fin to sense movements of water and air, this Pokémon can determine what is taking place around it without using its eyes.”   
Twilight looked back at Mudkip and decided to test this theory.
“Hey Mudkip do you feel anything in the air?”  
The Mudkip looked at her confused for a moment before immediately turning away from Twilight and looked at three flying Pidgey flying overhead.
“Wow. You didn’t know you could sense things in the air. It says here you can do the same thing in water too.”
The Mudkip happily said its name knowing that he impressed its trainer.
She smiled and then looked back to the bottom screen of the pokedex. "Ok how about we find out what these attacks do then we can go find out more about this world." She read off the attacks that Mudkip had currently.
“Hmm. Only two. Tackle and Growl?”
Twilight thought for a moment, her horn lit up and a patch of ground lit up with it. The patch then lifted up and molded into a pillar. "Okay Mudkip try using Tackle on the pillar."
Mudkip nodded and jumped up toward the pillar hitting it with his head, upon impact, the pillar shattered. Twilight brought up a small shield as pieces of rock flew toward her.
"Well, it seems there is more to you than meets the eye." She smiled at her partner   
“Mudkip! Mudkip!” the Mudkip said happily
She looked back at the pokedex again, "I wonder what growl would do?" As she finished asking the question the pokedex spoke up.
"Growl: the user lets out a cry that will lower the effectiveness of other Pokémon's attacks."   
"Interesting, seems like you also have moves that don't do damage, but instead give you a tactical advantage." Twilight looked back at Mudkip.
He was looking around at some of the other Pokémon. Twilight did the same and thought back to last night, trying to deduce what happened to her and her friends. She made a small thinking pose, putting her hoof to her chin and closing her eyes. Mudkip turned back to Twilight, looked up and decided to mimic her, putting his paw up to his chin and closing his eyes. Twilight opened her eyes, not being able to remember anything from the previous night, to see Mudkip mimicking her previous pose. She let out a light laugh.
"You're so adorable hehe."
She picked up Mudkip with her magic and set him on her back. "I know Professor Oak said I shouldn’t leave this area, but let's go see what we can find out about this town shall we?" Mudkip let out a hearty cry as if to say, 'let's go!'
As they jumped over the fence of the lab and sneakily passed the lab Twilight made her way to one of the houses in the town.
“Mudkip. Do you think we should knock?” she asked her partner.
He replied by nodding his head.
Twilight was about to knock on the door when she realized, "Wait a minute, I'm a strange creature in a stranger world, who knows how will they react." She thought out loud. Before she could decide what to do someone's voice came from behind the door.
"Oh, is someone there?" The voice was from a woman, much older than Twilight.
Twilight panicked a bit "No wait! don't open the door!"
"Why ever not dear?" The door slowly opened to reveal the owner of the voice, a tall mature woman with lightish brown hair, and a face so kind, Fluttershy would be seen as mean. The woman looked down at Twilight and her Mudkip. "Aww. You two look like you were meant for each other" She smiled and motioned for the two to enter.
Twilight walks inside the house, a small table, kitchen, and a living room all in the same room. The rest of the house was neat and organized, just how Twilight liked it.
"This is a lovely home, miss... uhh"
“You can call me Delia” She smiled as she took a seat at the floor table. “Do you want anything to eat or drink?”   
“Oh. No thanks.”
Twilight took a spot on the floor across the table from Delia, and the two shared an awkward silence for a while. Twilight was surprised to see her calm reaction to a talking pony. The front door then opens to show a similar creature to Delia but was shorter, had some proportions that didn’t match Delia and looked like a mime.
“Mr. Mine! Mine!” it said happily
Twilight was surprised by its enterest.
“Oh! Miney your back. Did you get the tomatoes?”
Miney opened a basket and passed over a bag of tomatoes to Delia.”   
“Thank you Miney.”
Miney gave her a thumbs up before heading upstairs to start cleaning upstairs.
“Is he your assistant?” Twilight asked her.
“I wouldn’t say he’s, my assistant. More like my Pokémon helper for things I need to do around the house.”
Twilight then remembered spike her number 1# assistant. She knew he wouldn’t see him for a while, but she wouldn’t lose hope.
“Mudkip?” Twilight partner looked at her waving his paw across her face. While he was sitting on her head Which snapped her back into reality
“Are you alright?” Delia questioned
“Sorry. I'm fine”
Twilight wanted to change to subject so she looked around the room and saw a picture of Delia, her Pokémon helper and young-looking boy.”
“Who’s that with you?”
“Oh. That's my son Ash.” Delia said as she got a bag of pet food from the pantry
"Umm...I'm sorry I didn't mean to bring up a touchy subject" Twilight blushed a bit, as Mudkip and jumped off her head and onto the table.
“Oh, you don’t have to feel bad about it. My boy calls me almost every day when he’s on his journey.” she smiled   
She filled a bowl with the pokefood and set down the bowl for Mudkip. He had stars in his eyes as he started to devour the food. Delia laughed a bit seeing Mudkip.
"You have such an appetite huh?"
Twilight couldn't help but smile watching Mudkip, but they were getting off topic.
"So, what was that about Ash?"
Delia sat down on a chair and sipped some water.
“Ash used to live with until he when on his first Pokémon journey with his partner Pikachu.”   
She took a sip of her water.
“he’s been on many adventures after that. He's made many friends and they have helped him to become the very best he can be. I'm proud of him that he is still following his goal after all this time.” she smiled
Twilight was invested in this conversation. This boy what set on his dream for a long time and is still following it.   
“"Do you know where he is now?"
Delia looked out the window with a smile.
“He’s in Galar right now help one of Professor Oaks students who’s studying more things about Pokémon.”
“Really! You're still learning about these Pokémon! How can I help!” Twilight said happily.”
Delia giggled at Twilight. “You seem to like learning.”
“Oh. Umm... Well yeah, I do.” she said embarrassed.
“Well. I think I have something you will enjoy.” She got up from her chair and headed upstairs.
Twilight waited for her to return. She didn’t have to wait long as Delia came down with a book in hand.
“Take this. It should help you understand more about Pokémon.” she passed the book to her.
Twilight used her magic to pick up the book which Delia was surprised at first but understood that she didn’t have hands.   
Twilight looked at the book. "An Experts Guide to Pokémon." As the title read. It was all she needed to know.
“Really! I can have this.” she said
“Of course. You like to learn a lot of things, and my boy won’t need it.”
Twilight felt like a kid getting a gift from her friends. Even though she was a stranger, she just knew Delia was good on the inside and outside.
“Thank you.”
The front door then suddenly opens. It was none other than Professor Oak.
“Delia have you seen a-” He pause noticing that who he was looking for was right in front of him.
“Oh, there you are! You know I told you to stay at the lab.”
“Oh, you don’t have to worry. She was good company.” Delia told Professor Oak
“I just wanted to explore a little bit. I was going to come back.”
Oak sighed.
“You're right. I should have known some of you would at least want to explore our world, it a good thing I finished those the devices you need to get the Pokémon league.”
“Wait! You finished the devices!?”
“Yes, I did. Now I wanted you to come along so we can start the procedures.”
“Hold no. I'll come.”
Twilight turned to pick up her Mudkip and put him on her back. She then turned to Delia.
“Thank you for the book.”
“Not need to thank me. I hope you have a good time at the Pokémon league. If my boy comes back maybe, he can teach you a thing or two about Pokémon battles.”
“Pokémon battle?” twilight question but was silenced by Professor Oak.”
“Are you coming Twilight?”
“Yes, I am. Sorry, but it looks like I need to go.” she apologized to Delia
” Thats all right. I hope we can meet each other again soon.” Delia smiled
Twilight smiled back.
“Goodbye.” she waved with her hoof before following Oak back to the lab.
