Crystal Brighthouse 8:00am

In the Crystal Brighthouse located on a hill across Maretime Bay, there were five ponies four mares and one stallion seen sleeping comfortably in bed in their bedrooms of their newly built house. All except for one mare who was seen looking down on the stallion with a disconsolate expression.

The mare was known as Sunny Starscout, the mare who reunified all the pony species with bravery and heroism with the assistance of her friends. The apricot coloured mare was seen looking at her crush Hitch Trailblazer who was seen snoozing on her bed with a concerned and depressed expression due to an event having to have happened that changed him.

"Oh Hitchy, I'm so sorry." Sunny cooed as tears formed in her eyes while she was rubbing Hitch's right side in order to comfort him. She wasn't able to get that much sleep as well due to her being ashamed of herself.

Maretime Bay, one day ago

In the beautiful coastal city of Maretime Bay, the mares, stallions, fillies and colts were all seen decorating the town with banners, stands, and many more to celebrate Maretime Bay day which is a holiday established by the earth ponies before the reunification. The ponies were all feeling exhilarated for the occasion.

At another section of town, Sunny was seen trying to decorate her billboard by putting some additional banners on it.

"Sunny, are the banners really necessary?" Hitch asked with a chuckle.

"Of course Hitchy, I want more ponies including fillies and colts to join my side of the event, not only Pipp's!" She exclaimed in a determined way.

"You should be careful Sunny, you'll fall if you make the ladder wobble a lot." Hitch warned.

"I'll be fine." Sunny said in a careless tone.

After setting up the last side of the banner for a brief second, Sunny was completed.

"Phew, all done." Sunny said with a pleasant smile. After that, she slid down the ladder and looked back at her crush Hitch. "How does my banner look now Hitchy? Do you think that Pipp will feel envious of how well I decorated it this time?" She asked.

Hitch was going to comment on her banner after scrutinising it but suddenly, the sheriff noticed the ladder behind Sunny starting to wobble probably due to her having to have slid down it too quickly. The sight made the sheriff's eyes widen.

"Sunny! Look out!" Hitch exclaimed as he ran to her. When he got to her, he pushed her out of the way and the ladder ended up falling on his head causing him to fall onto the ground with the ladder on top of him.

"Oh no, Hitchy!" Sunny exclaimed in horror as she ran to him. She then grabbed the ladder and lifted it off of her crush Hitch Trailblazer. "Hitchy! Hitchy? Talk to me please!" She begged as she was in tears.

Luckily, Hitch manage to wake up and open his eyes slowly, at first his visions were blurry but, when they worked again, he saw a mare in front of him with tears in her eyes as well as a relieved expression.

"Hitchy! You have no idea how-"

Sunny wasn't able to finish her sentence when Hitch suddenly jumped out of her hooves and crawled away from her with an edgy expression, stopping twenty centimetres away from her. The sight made Sunny bewildered.

"H-Hitch? Are you okay?" Sunny asked with a perplexed expression.

"Wh-who are you? And what am I doing here?" Hitch asked.

Remembering the incident only made Sunny more disconsolate like a punch to the gut. She has provoked Hitch to have amnesia when he saved her and took the hit from the ladder with bravery and heroism. Now, he doesn't even know who he is, who her friends are, and what his job in Maretime Bay is. The mares have decided to take it slow with the sheriff and help him glean his memories back in a gradual way by telling him his name first.

"Why was I so impulsive?"

Then, Sunny heard the sounds of Hitch mumbling and opening his eyes after having to have woken up from his peaceful sleep on Sunny's bed. When he opened his eyes fully, he looked up and saw Sunny looking down at him.

"Oh, good morning Sunny, how are you feeling?" Hitch greeted with a smile as he sat up straight. "You're up early than I was." He said.

"I'm okay Hitchy thanks." Sunny greeted back with a smile.

"So, you look like you haven't slept, are you okay?"

"I'm okay Hitch, I've slept well." She lied as she gave him a fake smile.

"Okay but, I've got a question if you don't mind."

"Oh, sure Hitch, I can answer that."

"Thanks, I heard from Izzy saying that you and I knew each other before, how did we first met?" Hitch asked.

"Well Hitch, here is the truth." Sunny told him as she grabbed a picture frame of herself and Hitch when they were foals and showed it to him. "This was me when I was a little filly, and this was you when you were a little colt. We were friends since we were little and you cared for me a lot at that time. We ate together, we played games, you helped me with homework and baked muffins with me." She delineated.

Hitch grabbed the picture frame with a curious expression before looking into it to see that there indeed was a filly and a colt in it. He assumed that the filly was Sunny but, he doesn't seem to recognise the colt.

"Wow, I bet that you and this colt must have a pretty decent relationship right now." Hitch smiled as he gave her back the picture frame.

Sunny Starscout become more depressed when she heard this, her crush and foalhood friend doesn't know who she is right now or himself in that picture.

"You really don't remember anything Hitch?" Sunny asked as she hugged him. "Please, remember me Hitchy. Hitchy." She begged as she cried on his shoulder.

Although Hitch doesn't know or remember who Sunny Starscout is due to his amnesia situation, he could feel her sadness and distress that he doesn't have any knowledge on the reason behind it so, he gently wrapped his hooves around her back and hugged her, comforting her in the process.

"Don't cry Sunny, we can find something positive to do today with Izzy, Pipp, Zipp and Sprout today." Hitch told her with a smile.

"Hitchy, I'm so sorry for everything." Sunny cried softly.

Maretime Bay

In the streets of Maretime Bay, the mares and fillies and colts and stallions were seen having a stroll through town in a tranquil and peaceful way like usual in this beautiful coastal city of theirs.

In a section of the city, Sunny, Izzy, Pipp and Zipp were all seen walking Hitch through town in hopes to slowly get his memories back. They first started with Sprout who showed his friend his favourite doughnuts.

"Hitch buddy, don't you remember this?" Sprout asked. "These are your favourite doughnuts that you consume during work shifts." He told him.

Hitch took a second to look at the doughnuts and noticed that they were sweet but, he doesn't seem to remember them so, he looked at Sprout and shook his head.

"No Sprout sir, I don't remember eating these."

Sprout had an incredulous expression from hearing this response. Hitch doesn't even remember his favourite doughnuts that he eats, in addition to that, it was Sprout who calls him sir due to him being his superior but, because of his amnesia condition, he thinks that he was the highest ranking pony.

"No Hitch, you're my superior, not me." Sprout corrected him but, Hitch got perplexed.

"But, I'm not even a deputy officer like you are Sprout Cloverleaf sir." Hitch told him which made Sprout sigh.

"Sorry Sunny, I tried, he truly has lost his memories of what his place was in Maretime Bay." Sprout said with a pout.

"It's okay Sprouty, you tried." Izzy said nuzzling her love Sprout, and he nuzzled back. Then, the red stallion took it to the next level and put Izzy in a dipping position and kissed her in the lips which caught her by surprise.

"Ooh Sprouty." Cooed Izzy.

"Izzy-Wizzy." Cooed Sprout.

The sight of the couple kissing each other only made Sunny, Pipp and Zipp aggravated due to them being off course of their current obligation at hoof, as well as giving Hitch a perplexed expression.

"Have those two been dating?" Hitch asked.

"Yes they have Hitchy, just like how we've been loving each other immensely." Sunny reminded him but, Hitch was still perplexed.

Sunny decided to do everything herself without the help of her friends and told them to do their own things which they did, but before they left, they wished Sunny good luck. The next stop that the apricot coloured mare took her lover Hitch was his sheriff station.

"Hitchy, this is where you work as a sheriff in Maretime Bay." Sunny told him. "You read complaint order issued to you by the residents, worked on your table over there, arrested criminals and many more." She said.

Hitch took a second to scrutinize the entire sheriff station and noticed that it was really big and had everything that an officer needed to work to corroborate the safety of the citizens of the city. There was also a cell on the left to hold an inmate who has done something illegal, a couch, a coffee machine and many more. Suitable and comfortable for an officer to work in his/her shifts.

"Wow, Sprout must have a very comfortable work environment as the deputy here." Hitch commented with a smile.

"But, you work here too Hitch." Sunny told him.

"I did?" Hitch asked, and Sunny nodded in response. "Why, that's a cool coincidence." He commented with a chuckle.

Sunny once again got depressed from this response, Hitch now doesn't even remember that he is the sheriff of Maretime Bay. But, she won't stop trying until her love recovers and gleans his memories back one way or another.

The journey and mission of Sunny trying to help Hitch regain his memories again has been nothing short of disastrous, Hitch doesn't remember who the citizens were, doesn't knows that he is a sheriff, doesn't know his favourite shop, what his hobbies are and many more. Luckily, she had one last plan in her mind right now, she must hope that it will work. She brought him over to the movie theatre where they watch movies together.

"Hitchy, do you remember this place?" Sunny asked showing him the movie theatre. "It is the movie theatre where you took me out to." She told him.

Hitch scrutinized the movie theatre for a brief moment and saw that it was huge, had movie posters displaying what movies are currently out and are coming soon which seems really exhilarating. But, unfortunately he does not seem to remember himself going to this place before in his life.

"Wow, this seems to be like a nice movie theatre Sunny." Hitch commented with a smile. "You say that I've been to here before?" He asked.

The statement has punched a hole in Sunny's heart, her lover Hitch has completely lost all of his memories all because of her temerarious action yesterday. Then, tears started to stream down her cheeks and she gently hugged Hitch.

"Hitchy, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." Sunny cried softly but, Hitch was confused, what has she even done to him? "You've lost all of your memories because of my impulsiveness, and my envy towards Pipp getting more attention from the mares, fillies, colts and stallions compared to my attraction during Maretime Bay day. I'm such a fool." She sobbed softly onto his neck.

Although Hitch has no idea what is happening right now but, he does feel very sympathetic for the mare because, it hurts his heart to see her crying like this even thought he doesn't know who she is. So, he gently embraced her in a comforting hug.

"Don't cry Sunny, I thank you for the tour."

However this did not cheer Sunny up at all, all she wanted to do was for Hitch to remember who she is, as well as his role in the community but, she has failed, Hitch's amnesia condition has overpowered her attempts to do so, now, she feels like a worthless and monstrous mare for putting him in this condition.

Ten seconds later, Sunny decided to give Hitch some space for now and talk to her friends. So, she gently broke the hug and softly held his chin up.

"I love you my beloved Hitch Trailblazer." Sunny cooed as she gently kissed Hitch in his lips.

After that, Sunny decided to leave Hitch alone and go back to her friends but, she was stopped suddenly and felt somepony grabbing her front left hoof. The apricot coloured mare looked behind her to see her lover Hitch grabbing her left hoof with an emotionless expression which made Sunny nonplussed.

"Hitchy?" Sunny called him. But, Hitch did not reply, he only continued to stare at her with an emotionless expression which made her depressed again.

Suddenly, the apricot coloured mare felt Hitch grabbing her hoof tightly again for no explanations at all but, she was not hurt. Then, the stallion looked down at Sunny.

"S-Sunny Starscout? Are you okay my precious mare?" Hitch asked. "Did you want to watch a movie with me today or eat some of my favourite doughnuts and drink smoothies with you again?" He asked.

The sight of Hitch remembering his memories at last has brought tears to Sunny's eyes.

"Sunny, why are you crying my beloved? I'm right here in front of you always ready to take you out on dates, protect you and assist you on making your sweet smoothies." Hitch told her with a chuckle.

Then, without warning Sunny tackled Hitch which caused the two couple to tumble forward which scattered many mares and stallions out of the way so that they wouldn't get caught in the roll. Five seconds later, the lovers came to a stop with Sunny on top and Hitch on the bottom.

"Oh Hitchy! Welcome back! You finally remember me!" Sunny exclaimed with tears of happiness streamed down her cheeks. Then, she immediately planted a long loving kiss on Hitch's lips.

Hitch blushed madly from this, he was now being kissed by his lover Sunny Starscout who he has had a crush on ever since he was a little colt. But, he snapped out of it and took his opportunity and kissed her back in a loving way to express his love to her back.

Sunny has successfully cured Hitch from his amnesia state and brought him back to her. Now, she vows to always listen to him and love him forever, she also wants to have a son with him in the future!
