In the Canon Timeline, The Evil False-God known as Zamasu was wiped out of existence by the power of the Omni King Zeno. However, an entity born from the hatred of humans, known as the Time-Breaker Emperor, used its power to resurrect Zamasu. In a body similar to his merged form, but even more powerful due to Time-Breaker Ki. Due to the entities hunger for conflict, he told Zamasu to pluck humans from many universes and initiate a tournament in which only the strongest will progress.

Meanwhile, in a distant Earth, a Dragonball Fan-Girl named Sunset Shimmer and her friends were visiting Z-Con when Zamasu sprang his trap. And said if he wasn't defeated, not only would each player be trapped in the Dragonball Universe, but all mortal kind throughout the multi-verse would be destroyed.

So as a result of Zamasu's trap, Sunset and her friends are sent to different time era's of the Dragonball Universe with no ways of coming back. Can they reunite with each other and stop Zamasu in time, while Spike and Giru find a way to bring them back home.
