Author's Note

NOTE: The Predator does speak in his own language, but he will use voice lines from the other characters to taunt his prey.

If It Bleeds

In Equestria, a spaceship crash-lands in the Everfree Forest. A mysterious entity crawls out of the wreckage, coughing up a green substance. However, it made its way through the dark forest and found some prey.

Night time. The perfect time of day for a predator to hunt its prey. In the Cutie Mark Crusaders' clubhouse, four fillies were peacefully asleep, but little did they know... they would sleep forever. Outside of the clubhouse, a camouflaged entity readied a weapon and shot four blasts, successfully completing its first hunt in this new land. Of course, this was just the beginning.

When morning arrived, Applejack walked over to the clubhouse to wake the fillies up... only to find horror. Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Babs Seed were all dead. Applejack screamed in terror, waking up Rainbow Dash and Rarity, who were nearby.

"Applejack, what the hay was that for?!", Rainbow Dash complained, but her mood quickly changed when she saw the orange pony in tears. The rainbow-maned pony looked inside the clubhouse and saw what had happened. Rarity walked over as well and saw what had happened. Blood and gore were splattered everywhere. "Oh... oh, my Celestia." Suddenly, Rainbow Dash heard a rustling nearby... but she didn't see anything. "Run." The three ponies fled the scene, but the camouflaged entity gave chase and managed keep up with the ponies. It saw Gabby flying overhead and used its plasmacaster to shoot the griffon down. However, this caused the entity to lose track of its prey it was chasing. It decloaked itself, revealing it to be a Yautja... and he was ready to hunt. He camouflaged himself again and killed three ponies who were out and about. This was seen by some residents.

"Run", the Predator said with Rainbow Dash's voice. Seeing the dead ponies, the residents of Ponyville began running back to their houses, unaware that this was an Elder Yautja with centuries of experience. With his various weapons and tools, he slaughtered 54 more ponies. However, before he could resume looking for the trio he was chasing, two unicorns began shooting magic blasts at the alien hunter, but he quickly disposed of the two unicorns. Four pegasi above him began dive-bombing the Predator, but he used his plasmacaster to quickly kill the attackers. One final pony attempted to attack the Predator, but he used his combistick to kill the attacker.

At Sugarcube Corner, the Mane Six and Spike had gathered to figure out what was going on. Fluttershy, however, knew what they were up against.

"The year was 1987. In the balmy jungles of Central America, an elite American Spec Ops unit would come into conflict with Soviet-backed insurgents. Their mission was a success, but little did they know, they were the ones being hunted. It was almost as if the jungle itself was killing them. But in reality, it was a traveler from beyond the stars. A superhuman killing machine whose entire life was devoted to murder. This was a Predator, and these men were its prey", Fluttershy explained. "And this alien hunter had more than enough gnarly gadgets to take Dutch and his crew down, like the plasmacaster, a shoulder-mounted laser cannon. It has a tracking system connected to the Predator's Bio-Helmet, which allows him to see in X-ray, UV, and Night Vision. This is on top of the Predator's own unique way of seeing, through natural infrared sight. Essentially, he tracks individuals by recognizing differences in heat signatures. Too bad humans or ponies can't do the same, since the Predator's full-body, light-bending camouflage makes him invisible to the naked human eye, letting him blend into the shadows and pick off his prey one-by-one. But as ruthless as that sounds, the Predator is actually an honorable fighter, who relishes the chance to fight up close and personal with his iconic wristblades. Unfortunately, there's an entire planet of these guys. These are the Yautja."

"But why would he kill Apple Bloom and the others?", Applejack asked.

"It saw you, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity as worthy opponents. However, this kind of Predator is an Elder Yautja", Fluttershy answered.

"How do you know so much about this, Fluttershy? Only I have ever been to the human world", Twilight Sparkle asked.

"Because I am well-knowledged in predators and prey, and the Yautja is no different", Fluttershy answered. "The only way to take one down is to defeat it in battle."

"Alright. Do you know where it might be?", Twilight Sparkle asked.

"The Everfree Forest. This is a Predator, so a jungle or forest is its preferred hiding spot if its hunting animals", Fluttershy answered. Unbeknownst to the Mane Six and Spike, the Predator, camouflaged, was watching them. He fled the scene.

In the Everfree Forest, a crashed spaceship was billowing smoke. The Predator was attempting to fix it, but nothing he did worked. He tried everything, but nothing seemed to work. When he went to Equestria for a hunting session, he did not expect his ship to crash and burn. He was already somewhat injured from the massacre he committed, so he had to patch himself up. Eventually, the gasoline from the spaceship ignited, resulting in a massive explosion that sent the Predator flying through the forest. He crash-landed on the ground, hard. His cloaking system was all messed up, and his mask was banged up. He took off his mask, revealing his face. Unbeknownst to the Predator, the Mane Six and Spike had seen the explosion... and were running towards it.

When the Mane Six and Spike made it to the crash site, all they saw was a massive crater where the spaceship once was. The Predator was forced to use the forest's shadows to hide himself as he closed in on the Mane Six and Spike, but he was still too far away, and his plasmacaster was malfunctioning. The Predator screamed in Applejack's voice in annoyance, but that only gave away his location to the Mane Six and Spike. With no other options, the Predator put another mask on and readied his wristblades.
