My name is Sunset Shimmer. Years ago, my younger brother Sunburst went missing when he was in danger of failing midterms for Celestia's School for gifted unicorns. For two whole weeks, this made me become distant and cold towards others. But then, I noticed Princess Cadence spending time with this purple unicorn filly who reminded me a lot of myself, and of Sunburst. I don't know why, but the moment she mentioned that Captain Shining Armor was her BBBFF or Big Brother Best Friend Forever, everything that was frozen within me thawed right away.

I decided to integrate myself into the young filly's life as her surrogate big sister. As such, I would help her grow out of her shell. The filly's name was Twilight Sparkle. A couple of years had passed since then, and she decided to enter the school for herself to join me there even though I was nearing the end of my terms there. Never once did I tell her I was Princess Celestia's first student, as I never wanted her to think highly of me. It worked though, so perhaps it was for the best.

By some miracle, Twilight had managed to hatch the dragon egg that was given as a test to all the applicants. While I had my doubts about its legitimacy in recent years, it turns out Princess Celestia had grown tired of using it as well, and the judge who signed off on it was promptly fired.

While she was enrolled at the school, I pushed harder than ever to get Twilight to come out of her shell, which worked wonders. It took another four years, but eventually she had passed every test with flying colors; metaphorically speaking of course.

A couple of months after that, Celestia sent us down to Ponyville to make more friends as well as oversee the Summer Sun Celebration. But Twilight had read about the old mare's tale of Nightmare Moon. Well...at least that's what I thought at the time when low and behold, the very same NIghtmare Moon showed up. With the help of some new friends, we defeated Nightmare Moon and restored her back to Princess Luna.

Twilight insisted we move to Ponyville to stay with our new friends, and I wasn't one to deny her of that. Throughout the next month, there would be several things that had happened: Spike was in love with a filly known as Sweetie Belle who turned out to be Rarity's Daughter as well as Prince Blueblood's Nephew do to Sweetie Belle's biological father being the Prince's half-brother. What's more, a young filly known as Diamond Tiara daughter of Spoiled Rich has yet to have gotten her cutie mark. This led her to becoming friends with not just Applejack's little sister Apple Bloom (and developing a crush on her), but also Sweetie Belle and Rainbow Dash's biological sister Scootaloo who was abanoned by her parents at a mall by accident.

Speaking of Rainbow Dash, Luna decided to start up a legitimate unit of the Shadowbolts, and while Rainbow Dash is not it's captain, the pegasus was fine with this, wanting to earn that captain's chair on her own merits rather than have it handed to her on a silver platter.

These were all things that happened over the course of a few weeks, but at once point I left to go double check on my mother who was moved to Canterlot and while there I accidently somehow 'reformed' the being of Chaos Discord. I personally believe it to have been pure luck that caused it, and I wouldn't exactly consider him reformed if at all.

Author's Note

For some reason in the original story I had accidently done two "Scootaloo being Rainbow Dash's abandoned Biological Sister" reveals in two separate ways. However, this summery shows you which reveal was meant to be the more cannon reveal of the two which is the one based on accidently abandoning baby Scootaloo at the Cloudsdale Mall. The other reveal is not cannon as it was done on accident even if honestly it had the better reveal in my personal opinion and I'm sure there are those that would agree with me. However, I knew I could only pick one of the two reveals to be cannon as as much as the second one was the better one, I chose to go with the first one if only for no other reason, then "I did that one first, therefore it is the correct version".
