The next day, Flash Sentry headed to Soarin's house.

"Okay, Flash, what did you want to talk about?" He asked.

"Alright, Soar you are not going to believe it, " Flash pulls out the necklace. "Check this out."

He holds out the necklace and magic course right through him and was in his armor.

"Holy champagne!"

"How cool is that?"

"Dude, this is nuts, do you have any idea what this is, you have scared responsibility, here. To benefit all of mankind. to Blueblood in his place."

"Really? I show you a giant golden gem-cased sword and a suit of armor that can only be magic, and that's how you respond?"

"Seriously It's butt-kicking time! And btw who's they?"

"That's the part I've been freaking out over!"

"Master Flash!" Both Celestia and Dor showed up. "I knew it was but a matter of time before the amulet called to us."

"Wait, what?"

"Actually, no. We've been spying on you. At best keeping a close watch. And who's he?"

"This is my pal Soarin."

"This is insane to the max."

"That's putting it mildly. Your friend is the Hunter. His noble obligation is protective."

"Like protecting? As a superhero? I called the sidekick!"

"Hold on a second, who would I be protecting?"

"Us," Dor said.

"And mankind," Celestia added. "From bad creatures. The mantle of Hunter is a sacred responsibility, one which has never been passed to a human before. This is a momentous occasion."

"Horseapples, it's mine mom, upstairs in my room," Flash saw his mom enter the driveway making everybody go upstairs. "She's not even suppose been home until midnight. Even better question, what this going here?"

"The necklace reacts to your emotional states. You appear to be in some distress."

"You think?"

"I have another question."

"Speak, young Soarin."

"If Flash's the first human Hunter, like you said, then who or was the Hunter before him?"

"The gloruis mantle has been passed from creature to creature for many years?"

"So, the previous Hunter retired?"

"Was felled."

"Felled?"

"Means killed."

"Turn to stone and smashed."

"Kandor the Noble was his name. Brutally slain by ruthless unicorn named Fighter."

"Don't worry, the Fighter dude just got lucky."

"The evidence begs to differ, Fighter is a formidable opponent."

"Then this Kandor guy must be off his A-game."

"Doubt it, Kandor was perhaps the alert and able to all the Hunters."

"But not the best?"

"Oh, the very best. His name was written throughout history."

"What Flash means to say, if Fighter beat Kandor, what will happen to him?"

"To put it bluntly, we would never expect Master Flash to engage in battle without the proper training. Not at all."

"See, nothing about. How long does the training normally take?"

"About a decade or two."

"And how long do I have before he finds me?"

"A day or two... It might be well to start training at once."

"It's a school night."

"I assure you, the relevance spaces me."

"I'm 15. I have to stay home and do uh, homework? I can't be out, hunting."

"Because?"

"Well, the whole, getting killed by a vicious pony named Fighter might be a dealbreaker. In short words, I don't want to die!"

"Goodness gracious! Who does? But the necklace called you, Master Sentry. You cannot refuse it. You cannot give it back. It is yours until you die."

"And would like to get a little past puberty before that happens."

"Master Sentry, you are now responsible for the safety of two worlds, both human and creature alike. If don't keep the balance, evil ones like Fighter will come into yours and wreak havoc."

"You saying that he would hurt people?"

"Like you."

"Not helping."

"What's he talking about?"

"With the necklace in your possession, Fighter will seek you out, and will face him, one way or another."

"Maybe what Flash needs a little time to process all of this, you did lay a lot of heavy on him tonight."

"Fine. We shall return tomorrow then to begin your training."

In a bright flash, both Celestia and Dor were gone.

"They sure can make an exit."

"How's that? I bought you a night."

"A night?"

"Dude... you're the one who's always talking about wanted adventure and something more. Well wish granted. So. mythical creatures are a thing. Who knew?"

The next day at school.

"So, what did you decide?" Soarin asked.

"That if anyone finds out what happened in my kitchen last night, we'll both committed," Flash said.

"I mean about kicking Blueblood's butt."

"Not happening, dude."

"What's going with that thing?" Soarin asked as The Rainbow of Light was glowing.

"How should I know? It didn't come with a manual."

"Does it feel like you're going to you know, change?"

"Oh, no."

"We've got to get someplace that's not out here!"

As Soarin pushed into a locker room, the woman from before spied on them. Meanwhile inside, Flash was encased in the armor.

"So cool."

"Why would do that?"

"Flash? Flash, are you in here?" A voice that belongs to Lumitia the vice-principal.

"Keep her busy."

"How am I supposed to do that?"

"Just go!"

"Fine," Soarin walked out and greeted her. "Hello, Ms. Lumitia!"

"Ah, Soarin. Have you seen Flash? I believe he came in here."

"Yeah, he's having some issues, you know?"

"I understand to the fullest, I just wanted to say that auditions for Romeo and Juliet are today."

"Sure, I'm let him know!"

In the auditorium, most of the students had the roles assigned.

Pinkie Pie was the royal jeseter.

And Fluttershy was one of the villagers

And while Sunset was auditioning, both Flash and Soarin were watching from backstage.

"It would be easier to tell her that I'm a Hunter. I don't know the play," Flash told him.

"Thank you, Ms. Shimmer," Ms. Lopaz said then Sunset walked off and saw them.

"And here I thought you didn't like Shakespeare," Sunset smirked at him.

"Oh, no, I really like him."

"That costume is incredible. Did you make it?"

"He use a magic amulet that did it."

"That's funny."

"Yeah, you're a real comedian, aren't you?"

"Mr. Sentry?"

"I think you're on. Break a leg."

"I prefer that," As Flash walked on stage.

"Your name, sir?"

"Flash Sentry,"

"And what are you trying for?"

"Romeo."

"Well, we are all ears."

"Where did he get that costume?" Pinkie asked as Flash begins to speak.

"Destiny... Destiny is a gift. Some go their entire lives living an existence of quiet desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as though a burden pushing down our shoulders... " Flash said as he draws his sword. "is actually the sense of purpose that us to greater heights. Never forget that fear but the precursor to valor."

"He's good," Rarity exclaimed.

"That to strive and triumph in face of fear is what it means to be a hero. Don't think. Become. Uh, thank you."

As Flash walks off stage, Sunset and her friends walked toward him.

"Flash, that was remarkable,"

"You think so? I didn't even think. I just said it."

"It's called acting for a reason, darling," Rarity said.

"Dude! That was amazing!" Soarin exclaimed.

"I can't believe that just happened," Flash was stunned by what happened?"

"And did you see how Sunset was looking at you? Your armor totally did you a favor!"

"I'm still getting the hang of it."

"The alicorn girl said it reacts to your emotional state. The armor turns on when you're in distress. But I wasn't distressed back at school."

Then both saw Fighter was in their face.

"But I am now."

"Hunter. Starswirl's creation... Darkstar's Bane."

"I think he's talking to you."

Fighter tries to walk to them but he started to sizzle a bit.

"Look! He's afraid of the sun."

"Well, not for long," Soarin said as the sun went down.

"Surrender the necklace and I will give quick death."

"Not the negotigote type, let's move!"

Both Flash and Soarin left with Fighter running after them.

"Quick dude, you need to armor up and fast."

Fighters threw cars trying to search for them.

"Okay, 'For the glory of Starswirl, may the magic of friendship be with me.' Crud, it ain't working."

Then Fighter saw them as he lifted a truck

"Hundreds of Hunters and I will have two in almost as many days."

"He's good at math!"

"Go, go, go! Flying truck!"

"Incoming!" As they avoided it and Fighter ran by their side.

"I'll flay the flesh from your bones!"

"I like my bones the way they are. Thanks!"

"Behind Tylan Tech," Flash said seeing the building.

"Right behind you dude!"

Both went through the gap of the store with Fighter growling in anger.

"This was insane, but we're not dead," Soarin said.

"Master Flash!" both guys saw Celestia and Dor.

"Fighter trying to kill us! He chased all over the city!"

"And you're still alive. I knew you had potential, Master Flash."

"Nice voice, but you bring death with you!" Soarin exclaimed.

"You guys can fight him, right?"

"The fight's been out of me for a decade."

"What about him?"

"Pacifist."

"You gotta be kidding me."

"This is why there is Hunter, Master Flash. Dor renounced the violet path months ago."

Out of nowhere Fighter ran toward them,

"Follow me, we will be safe in the Ponyville Market!" Celestia exclaimed as they made a run for it.

"Hold on, tight!" Dor grabbed Soarin and put him on his back.

"Master Flash! Don your armor!"

"I been trying! The necklace is not listening to me!"

"Did you speak the incantation?"

"I've been indicating the crap out of it, and it's not working!"

"Just focus and incant, dude!"

Soarin, Celestia, and Dor went ahead with Fighter gaining closer.

Fighter tries to punch him but the armor's magic pushed him back.

"Great job, use the sword, Master Flash!"

"I'll drink your blood out of a goblet made of your skull!" Fighter exclaimed.

"Cut him like a meatloaf, Flash!" Soarin cheered.

Flash readied himself and Fighter came right at him trying to deliver a strike but, Flash countered with a quick swing knocking him back.

"Quickly, my friend we must open the portal," Celestia said she held a crystal and drew a circle on a wall then blasted on it with her magic. "Everyone in the portal, now!"

"I'm a little busy here!" Flash said as he and Fighter clashes their swords.

"I'll teat the armor off along with your skin!"

He swung his left sword at him only for Flash to dodge it and went and follow the others through the portal and it quickly closed before Fighter came in.

"He nearly... We nearly... He almost..." Flash tries to gather himself.

"He nearly what?"

"He almost killed us! Why'd the armor suddenly shut off?"

"Master Flash, you are the first human to possess an amulet crafted for several mythical creatures. It's expected for its behavior to be unusual. Now follow me," As they walked down.

"Are you sure we're safe here?" Soarin asked.

"Indeed. The incantation forbids entry to Ponyville Market by those who aligned with Darkstar such as Fighter for they fear through both our world."

"Wait, you mean Fighter can't here, right? Into Ponyville Market?"

"No, Master Flash, " Celestia used her magic to open the gate and show him. "This is the world you are bound to protect. This is Ponyville Market!"

Both Flash and Soarin were amazed at the sight as a new adventure is about to unfold.
