Chapter Seven: Aftermath

The aftermath of the ursa’s attack was dreadful: debris littered the streets, there were injured ponies amongst the rubble and most of the buildings had been completely destroyed. The cleanup would take a long time.

I was just outside the boutique when I heard a voice to my right, it belonged to Applejack. “Are yah okay?” she asked.

“Yes I’m fine, but just look at the town; it’s in ruins.”

“Ah can’t believe it did this, ah mean look at it: the town is destroyed.”

“This ever happen before, AJ?” I asked.

“Once, but nowhere near as bad. This’ll probably take a long time to repair.”

I was about to head back to Ponyville after getting some more building materials from the marehouse outside of town, when a rainbow streak flew straight past me.

I shouted to her, “Hey Dash, what’s going on?”

“I can’t stop! Fluttershy is being attacked by a hydra!”

“A hydra? You mean the mythical creature with multiple heads?” I asked.

“Yes, I gotta hurry!”

Dashie spoke up, “Dad, what you you doing?”

“I have a plan, you two get out of here now.”

“But dad—”

“NOW! GO! RUN!”

They just nodded in agreement and ran as fast as they could to town. I was there alone with the beast. I turned to it and began to shout at it. “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR YOU UGLY SON OF A BITCH?! COME AND GET ME!”

I could tell that the hydra was angry, it lunged forward to me. Before I even had a chance to dodge, it grabbed me by sinking its teeth into my chest.

I cried out in pain, there was blood all over my chest, and to make the pain even worse the hydra shook its head around. I was falling in and out of consciousness, the last thing I remember before blacking out is being dropped on the floor and being approached by a white blob.
