A/N: This story is Twilight-Centric, and so will any future additions to the MINE series.

Warning: Contains blood, and mild cussing.

Twilight looked down at the letter in her hooves. Something was...wrong with it. The scrawl was just that - not written perfectly in any way, unlike the other letters she had gotten. She could tell it had been written fast, and probably to many ponies - It had the smell of a duplication spell on it.

She stared at it again, noting the small red blot on the corner, and the way the writing was so differant than normal. She stared at the redness a moment, then re-read the letter.

Citisens Of Equestria -

you are Heerby invited to aSpeech from mE, your royal highness, Princess CelestiA.

atencance is mandetory. quit whatever you MaY be doing and cOme, this afternoom.

Twilight furrowed her brows, a deep frown across her face. The capitalization was all wrong, and she had misspelled quiet a few words.  But, nonetheless, she could tell it was from the princess herself, so she would go. Spike had gotten a copy of the letter as well, a mere two seconds after she had gotten her own. As they prepared to leave, nothing was said.

They both had the same feeling - something was very, very wrong.

The two went to their friends' houses, finding that they had gotten the same letters.

As they all got together, Twilight mentioned how strange the letter was. "Yeah, I noticed that it was kind of weird," Rainbow Dash said, "But, we still gotta go. Wonder what It's about, anyway?" She looked at Twilight, who shrugged. The purple unicorn was wondering the same thing herself, but didn't mention it.

As the seven left town, it seemed that all of Ponyville was coming with them - every stallion, mare and foal were going to the Princesses speech.

Stranger and Stranger.... Thought Twilight, looking at them all. She heard Zecora, who was a little behind the group, mention something about the balance of the world being off. Twilight levitated Spike onto her back for the journey, then set off, her five friends close beside her.

Upon arriving, Twilight was very surprised - It seemed like all of Equestria was here! Millions of pony's, zebras, griffons, minotaurs, and even a few dragons were here.

"Oh my," Said Fluttershy, pressing close to Rainbow Dash, while Applejack let out a quiet "Well ah'll be darned...".

Twilight merely stared around, then looked to the dragon currently resting on her back.

Something was most definitely wrong.

As the seven found a placer close to the front to stand, they noticed Celestia standing on a pillar above them all. It appeared there was something red on her hooves, and a bit on her wings, as well. Twilight couldn't be sure, what it was, but it looked kind of like a liquid - But the princess was to high up for Twilight to tell for sure. She tried to wave at her mentor, but the alicorn either ignored her, or didn't see her - Twilight hoped it was the later.

There was chiter-chatter going on everywhere, and it was hard to hear yourself think. But then, Celestia reared up, spread her wings, and yelled in such a cold, commanding voice it would have been impossible to recognize her, had it not been so powerful that only she could have made it.

"SILENCE!!!"

Everypony stopped. A couple ponies held their ears, but they all looked up at her, wide-eyed.

"First off, I'll let you know that I don't want any of you speaking through what I'm about to tell you, all right?" She said, cold eyes looking over all of them.

"Very good." She said, before holding out a foreleg. A few red drops fell from her hoof, shining in the afternoon sunlight.

Twilight's eye's widened. As the droplets hit the ground, she realized - Blood. The Princess's legs and wings both had a lot of blood on them, and it also dripped down her horn.

"Wh...Wha...?" She murmured, suddenly feeling very  confused, and slightly scared.

"This blood is royal blood, but not of my own. My sister, Luna, Is dead.

"I killed her. I did this to show you insolent fools who your true, one and ONLY ruler is."

There were gaspes everywhere. Fluttershy and Rarity fainted. And Twilight...?

She just stared up at her mentor - No, the Alicorn that USED to be her mentor - in shock.

"No..." Twilight murmured, feeling her mind go numb.

Celestia, killing Luna...?  It was to terrible to be true. A million things ran through the purple unicorn's mind in that single moment - but she was having trouble processing anything.

I...I can't believe this... Twilight thought, and yet...She knew it was true. From the look in the sun goddesses' eyes, to the blood on her hooves, there was no way she was lying about this. Twilight felt real fear course through her at the look in those cold eyes.

Then Celestia continued.

"You are all ungrateful, pissy idiots who refuse to listen to me! ME, your Princess! Without me, You'd all be no better off than my dearest sister, lying dead on her bedroom floor!

"You...You're all NOTHING without me. NOTHING!!! I am the sun! I bring life! Only a few of you deserve to have me as your princess! No...Queen! I AM QUEEN CELESTIA!"

She reared up, and the pillar on which she stood caut aflame, causing all those standing close enough to it reeling backward. A couple ponies had burnt faces or forelegs.

"To pick out those precious few, I will put you all to the test...Most of you will die, However. Now..

"TO ASHES!!!"

And then it happened.

There was smoke, fire, and meteorites.

Twilight turned in confusion, running off in a random direction. Her eyes burned, she had no idea what was going on, and instinct took over. She ran like the wind, forgetting her ability to teleport. Buildings crashed down around her, putting up clouds of dust and igniting more fires. She ran past the body of somepony who had been crushed under one, slipping in the blood and brain matter and falling over. A piece of the poor Pegasus's skull dug into her leg, but she got up and started running again. One of her feet landed on an ember, causing her to curse and fall over, cutting her shoulder. It hurt, but still she galloped on - That is, until she felt something round and hard hit her on the head, straight on her horn. She let out a bloodcurdling scream as a pain sharp and unreal filled her mind and body, making her tumble over. Blood ran into her left eye, along with a bit of dirt and some ashes, cutting it up and half-blinding her. She struggled to stand, then...

Everything went black.

When she awoke, nothing would be the same.

A/N: Just so you know, Celestia's letter is supposed to be miss-spelled.

Oh, and sorry for the cliff-hanger, but I'm not sure if anyone will like this, so I thought it best to leave it at that. IF, however, people do like this, then I'll post another chapter, and it probably have up to seven chapters. Eight at the most, three at the least.
