colours flit by her face. Dash landed a hoof or so away and looked at me.
My feathers ruffle and I flap my wings. They ache. Rainbow points a hoof and I turn to stare at the skybox.
A hoof. A hoof. Ahoof. I giggle at the word I made up and try to tell Rainbow but she won't stop staring at me. I ask her to turn away and she does.
Her wings split open in an ear-piercing shriek and the sky carves open a twitchy buggy mess. Cyan tears leak paint off the wet and soggy walls and I stick my tongue out to taste some. They smell like clouds. They taste gross.
"I miss clouds."
She opens her mouth wide and nods her head. I um, try not to look, it's impolite. I'm on a cloud and a red construction site raises out of the clouds below. I can hear Rainbow Dash above, so I creep onto the nearest beam and it's shaped like a perfect square. Twilight would know how to inspect the spaces of these but I don't know where to find her.
I glance up and see a purple mane and toothy grin in the dark tunnel upwards. As soon as I look it scurries backwards and I can't see her anymore. I call Rainbow Dash.
"Uh, yeah Shy. It's a twitchy buggy mess down there so don't look down, k?" I reply to the text, mimicking her voice as best as I can. A shortcut opens.
Rainbow brushes a hoof across her forehead to wipe the sweat off and her wings follow, cradling her into a perfect compact coffin.
I um, wish everypony would stop looking at me sometimes. I wish I could go back before I knew more words. When, when I did know more words. I'm a stupid mare.
Their eyes bare down on me from holes and pockets in the sky as if they're peering through a sieve. As if the sky is cut up into ragged flesh, blue flesh, and their fur bristles closer and closer, pressing and clumping to the edges of a grater. Clump. Clump. Clump. Can you imagine that? Clump. Clump. Clump.
I feel so wet and soggy. My hooves barely move, they feel sticky with the last thing I ate. Chocolate cookies. My cottage isn't warm and hearth and Fluttery, it's wet and soggy and gross. The crumbs and sticky chocolate gets on everything I touch, my walls, my desk, my typewriter, my pen. I try to shake Rainbow's hoof and she obliges but I know she hates me.
"I don't hate you, 'Shy." I type up and smile, weakly. Every word I say feels weak and I shouldn't try. Every smell, taste, sight, touch, sound, psyche - it's hollow and the hollow itself is wet and soggy and a

Flutterguy speaks for me a deep, hollow tone and I think I would prefer that to the soft, delicate flower that sprouts out of my mouth, vines attached to jaws, i think i would prefer that becasue then at least it would match my hideous body. I raise my eyebrow, do um, ponies have eyebrows and listen but I can't hear anything and I realise the construction site is gone and we are sat in my cottage, which is wet and soggy and gross like a biscuit. Like a chocolate cookie. I eat another. A chocolate cookie. I ear another. Oh, Luna, my stomach is going to be chubby. Not that I mind, that's fine, I just don't want food to exist in me. Clumpy. I'm um, writing in my diary, Rainbow. No, you can read, it's okay, I um, don't mind. We've been through a lot together and that's not a very Fluttershy thing to say.
