*Spike's POV*

Since my legs were a little shorter than Twilight's legs were, I didn't have any other option but to team up with her for the race.

Danyelle was among the racers despite being locked in her Nightmare form for a while.

To my surprise, even Ryōta and Loona were among the racers.

"What is this race even about, Twi?” I asked.

Danyelle spoke "This is going to be so awesome!"

Twilight spoke "It's basically like the Running of the Leaves, the point is to run. All magic, bending and flying are off limits. Plus Extreme Gear are off limits as well."

“But why are Kirby and Dedede here?” I added.

Sonic spoke "Sorry you two, you are not even on the participant list. Don't give me that look Kirby, it's not an eating contest."

Dedede spoke "Then give the race a different name other than the Gourmet Race."

Danyelle spoke "Sorry boys but it's not my choice."

Twilight spoke "Well, there are checkpoints. I think."

Flintfur was in his feral form while carrying Jazz on his back.

Flintfur spoke "I do believe the finish line is in Canterlot."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "And the point is to run. Hovering and flying is not allowed. Chaos control is also not allowed."

Shadow spoke "Hmph, no gimmicks? I prefer it to be skill anyway."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Oh and Shadow? I've disabled your air shoes for the whole race."

Shadow spoke "Hmph, you forget the Olympics I participated in."

Sonic spoke "You gotta admit, Dany, he has a point."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Too bad Myth and the other Mew can't compete, they aren't built for running."

Rainbow Dash asks "Come on, don’t we have a race to start?"

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "We have to wait for the signal."

Sivith spoke "Racers! On your marks! Get set!"

Nightmare Danyelle and the other racers were at the starting line.

Special spoke "I'll see you all at the finish line!"

Sonic spoke "In your dreams Special Week!"

Sivith spoke "GO!"

Nightmare Danyelle took of like a rocket from the starting line.

Man, everyone just went off at that go.

Twilight spoke "We better catch up to them then!"

While carrying me on her back, Twilight gallops after the other racers.

Sonic chuckles "Heh, definitely reminds me of the marathon in the London Olympics."

Rainbow laughs "Eat my dust Slow-nic!"

Rainbow gallops ahead.

Sonic chuckles "Hehe, racing never gets old."

Twilight and I soon catch up to Sonic and Shadow.

Twilight laughs "It's just like the Running of the Leaves event!"

To my surprise, the leaves were getting knocked off the trees.

Rainbow Dash spoke "Looks like a lot of speedsters here."

Nightmare Danyelle was far ahead of the others.

Sonic asks "Whaddya say? Stop holding back?"

Twilight spoke "But you heard what Danyelle said, all magic is off limits."

Sonic asks "Who said anything about using magic?"

Sonic then pulled off a spin dash, surging forward.

Twilight coughs "Hey! I got a dragon on my back here!"

"Don't worry, Twi. I can hold on." I assured with a smirk.

Twilight spoke "Time to kick it up a notch!"

Twilight started kicking it to high gear as I held on tight.

Wendy soon catches up to Twilight and I.

Wendy spoke "Hey Spike."

“Wendy?!” I gasped.

Wendy giggles "It was Lucy's idea."

“D-Don’t try to throw me off my game!” I warned.

Wendy teases "Whatever you say, Spikey-Wikey."

“Wha-But-Why-You-“ I stammered before Wendy playfully bumped me.

Due to the bump, I was now on Wendy's back as she ran.

Twilight laughs "See you lovedrakes at the finish line!"

Twilight gallops ahead of Wendy.

Wendy spoke "*Shy giggle with a blush* Sorry, didn’t mean to make that happen."

I spoke "Let's get back at Twilight for leaving me behind!"

Wendy spoke "*Shakes blush off with a smirk, knowing I was just doing a joke* Alright then, Spike!"

Wendy kicked it to high gear.

A silver-gray blur gallops after Wendy and I, picking the two of us up and setting us on his back.

The mystery alicorn spoke "Thought you two would need some help!"

I noticed that I was still on top of Wendy.

Wendy asks "Do you mind?"

“S-Sorry.” I apologized trying to get off Wendy, only for our tails to accidentally tie themselves together.

The mystery stallion chuckles "You two are so cute together!"

Wendy spoke "*Blush* Q-Quiet!"

"Sh-Shut it!" I agreed, blushing too.

The stallion soon passes by Twilight.

Twilight gasps "How in the....?"

We held on as tight as we can.

Twilight spoke "I won't lose to an alicorn I've never seen before!"

Twilight gallops even faster, causing a mach cone to form around her as she pulled off the Sparkleboom thus bypassing the stallion.

I was suddenly on Twilight's back once more!

And since my tail was tied to Wendy’s, she was along for the ride.

Wendy was screaming as Twilight gallops full speed.

I managed to pull Wendy in as we held on.

Twilight, Wendy and I soon catch up with Sonic, Shadow and Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow spoke "Holy hay Twilight! Where did you... Never mind! We got a race to win!"

Twilight asks "We or you?"

Nightmare Danyelle laughs "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!!!"

Rainbow asks "What’s with the dragon knot?"

Wendy and I spoke "SHUT UP RAINBOW DASH!"

Rainbow Dash asks "*Teasing* Isn’t it a bit soon to be tying that one?"

I snap "JUST SHUT UP!!"

A blast of energy maker magic hits Rainbow, teleporting her to the back of the pack.

Wendy asks "Spike, what was that?"

“I dunno.” I shrugged.

Twilight spoke "We'll figure that out after the race because I can see Canterlot now!"

But then we heard a sonic rainboom on the ground.

Twilight boosted ahead, catching up with Nightmare Danyelle.

Surprisingly, Sonic and Shadow were keeping up with us.

To our shock, Nightmare Danyelle was closing in on the finish line.

Twilight spoke "Come on…!"

Sonic spoke "Almost there!!!"

Shadow spoke "Looks like playtime’s over."

A quadruple boom was heard as Sonic, Shadow, Twilight and Nightmare Danyelle all cross the finish line at the same time!

After the four stopped, that sudden break sent Wendy and I flying into a wall.

I used my new power to slow Wendy and I down from the crash.

"Whoa..." I awed.

An exhausted Twilight spoke "Wow Spike.... Guess you're just like your Fairyverse counterpart...."

"What do you mean?" I asked, totally lost.

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "What Twilight means is that you're an energy maker dragon now. Plus I heard rumors that Fairyverse Spike is dating a human version of Wendy."

Zane spoke "*Notices us* Oh, hey guys."

Twilight asks "What the? How did you get here before the six of us?"

Zane asks "Huh? I was only visiting Canterlot for something. What happened?"

Sonic spoke "The six of us and some others had a race from Ponyville to here."

Zane asks "Really?"

Twilight spoke "Yeah since it came to a six way tie for first place between me, Sonic, Shadow, Danyelle, Spike and Wendy."

Zane spoke "Wow."

I snicker since Zane didn't notice what happened to Danyelle yet.

Nightmare Danyelle asks "So what brings you here?"

Zane spoke "Well, I wanted to talk to you about something."

Nightmare Danyelle teases "Is it about Moeka?"

Zane spoke "*Blush* This is about something else."

Nightmare Danyelle laughs "Great StarClan, I got you good Zane!"

Zane spoke "*Stammer!* This is important!"

Twilight slaps Nightmare Danyelle upside the back of the head.

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Sorry, I couldn't help it. You can blame it on my cutie mark."

Twilight asks"So, what did you wanna talk about?"

Zane spoke "I've been thinking about opening a blood bank for my lab, that way we can store the DNA of our friends in case something happens to them and they don't wanna change."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "But we should keep the rh null blood type away from the other bags of blood."

Zane spoke "Yeah, better safe than sorry. And I'll have to keep track of whose blood it was by name."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "My blood is unstable since I have Mew blood."

Zane asks "Keep it separate?"

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Same with Mnemosyne's blood since she was cloned from my DNA."

Zane spoke "Right."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Thanks for letting me know about this."

Zane spoke "No problem, Dany."

Twilight spoke "Wow Zane, I'm surprised you didn't notice anything different about Danyelle!"

Zane spoke "I'm used to stuff like this after all that's happened with Aph and the others."

Nightmare Danyelle laughs "And Ein is still an idiot!"

Zane spoke "Despite him like making secret bases, he wouldn't know one if he fell through it."

Nightmare Danyelle laughs "I don't know who's worse, Ein or Inuyasha!"

Zane spoke "Definitely Ein. Believe me, I speak from experience."

Twilight spoke "Pre-reformed Deep Blue was way worse."

"Uh, guys?" I asked.

Wendy spoke "A little help with our tails here."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "I got it."

Nightmare Danyelle unties my tail from Wendy's tail.

Wendy spoke "Thanks, Dany."

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Being a nekomata, I have to learn not to get my tails tangled up."

"Sorry about being on you like that, Wendy." I apologized, blushing about when I rode on Wendy during that race.

Wendy spoke "Give it another ten years and I'll really take you for a ride!"

That made me blush madly.

Wendy teases "Oh wow Spike, you really got it bad for me!"

"R-Really?! Then how come you didn't notice the wind around flying up whenever I'm here?" I fired back, making Wendy blush.

Twilight bursts into laughter, setting Sonic and Shadow off.

Nightmare Danyelle giggles "This is adorable."

Trying to stop laughing, Shadow spoke "Like you're one to talk Danyelle! You're no better with Ben!"

Sonic spoke "*Laughing* Ha! Really, Shadow? Maria can have you wrapped around her fingers sometimes!"

Shadow counters "*laughing* You're one to talk Faker! Your wives all got you wrapped around their hoof, finger or feather!"

Twilight spoke "*Still laughing* Boys, calm down."

Nightmare Danyelle laughs "Oh yah Sparkle Butt? Need I remind you of the one time Pinkie pulled the mane dye prank on Flash?"

Wendy asks "Huh?"

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Flash's mane and tail were the same colors as Twilight's mane a week ago."

Twilight blushed at that.

Nightmare Danyelle's eyes flash white since she had another vision.

*Nightmare Danyelle's POV*

I heard steady beeping before I saw a laboratory.

The Tantabus was neighing due to panic from the vision I was having.

I couldn't see what was past the door, but I saw a soul switching between white and blue, having a small crack everything suddenly glitched, showing me another timeline. I had a feeling that lab is in my timeline. But in the other timeline of my vision, I saw a blue flame, pulsing like a beating heart, with two gleaming red sparkles in the flames, like eyes. I saw something that occurred in the past. Three women, having red eyes with skull symbols on them, skeleton arms, gray hair, their backs exposed and being bones while hosting a blue flame, bone features on them, and an army of undead, all three during different time periods. But then I saw a young girl with the same eyes, hair and bone features on her clothes, as blue veins started emerging from the fire in her back as the blue flame started to show something, an odd black skull.

I think "That has the be the Skull Heart that Warrior-verse Twilight told me about one time...."
