Life as a Sonic OC Redux

*Ichigo/Wastelands Zoey's POV*

The four of us found ourselves in a natural desert, not part of a wasteland.

What sounded like a mix of an horse's neigh and an Espeon's cry was heard before a dagger lodges itself in the trunk of a tree.

A unicorn-Espeon hybrid asks "Who are you?"

"My name is Ichigo." I answered.

Minto spoke "Uh, he doesn't know that name."

A voice asks "Nathan, what's going on?"

A familiar blindfolded swordsman showed up.

Wastelands Firestar excitedly meows "Hey Kenshi!"

Snow Blind Kenshi spoke "*Smile* I recognize that voice anywhere. Stand down, Nathan. They're friends."

Minto spoke "Wait, Nathan? It's as though I remember the name from somewhere... Oh? Now I remember! His nickname was Tramp!"

Nathan's ears twitch at the mention of his nickname.

Nathan asks "*Embarrassed blush* What?! How did you know?"

Minto spoke "My nickname was Lady."

Nathan gasps "*Shock* Minto?!"

Minto spoke "*tears in eyes* Even though I'm a Mewtaur now, I'm still the same birdgirl you fell in love with."

Nathan asks "*Knocked for a loop* Yikes... I really thought we lost you. But if you and Ichigo are here, doesn't that mean your friends are alive?"

Minto spoke "*Sniffs with a smile* It's possible."

Snow Blind Kenshi spoke "Don't worry, members of the Lin Kuei and some of our allies have been looking for other survivors our Sumarda may have missed."

To the surprise of the two males, I had a wedding ring on a chain around my neck.

Nathan asks "Wait, where's Kish?"

I spoke "Long story short, he reincarnated as my son."

Nathan asks "...Wait, what?"

Snow Blind Kenshi spoke "*Places two fingers on his head* She's telling the truth, Nathan, as surprising as it is."

Firestar spoke "As for me, I have three kits. Two are half fox though, the only tom of the trio is half Pegasus."

Sandstorm spoke "What he means is he has two mates."

Nathan spoke "That explains the wings on his back."

My left ear twitches since I heard a howl.

"Zakuro?" I noticed.

Minto spoke "It sounded too masculine."

A mare asks "Who are you?"

That spooked us that just arrived, seeing an Alicorn mare behind us looking like.

Snow Blind Kenshi spoke "You’re here, Luna."

I spoke "Minus the scars, you look just like my counterpart's grandmother."

Luna asks "What?"

I spoke "I took on a different name so I don't get mistaken for my counterpart though, my actual name is Zoey."

Minto spoke "Like my actual name is Corina."

I ask "Kenshi, do you know what happened to Bridget, Kiki and Renee?"

Kenshi spoke "They suddenly vanished, but since you two are both here, they could still be out there."

I use my magic radar to home in on Zakuro's location.

I spoke "I found Renee! She's in a hospital for some reason."

I used a warp ring to open a path to there as all of us went through, seeing Zakuro pacing around, a nervous wreck.

I ask "Renee, what's the matter?"

Zakuro asks "*Gasp!* Zoey?! Corina?! Is that you both?"

I spoke "Aside from the fact I'm a cat Mobini-alicorn hybrid and Corina being a Mewtaur, we're still the same."

Zakuro grabbed the both of us with a tight squeeze.

I spoke "Careful Renee, my chest is rather tender since I have kids... A two year old girl named Shizue and a three month old boy named..."

Zakuro asks "…Wait, what? *Lets go of me and Minto* You’re a mother? Then where’s Kish?"

A warp ring opens before a female version of Sonic steps out while carrying Shizue and a dark emerald green furred wolfcat boy.

Surprisingly enough, the hedgehog's eyes were not the familiar green I've come to known for the actual Sonic.

“Danyelle?” I noticed.

Danyelle spoke "Guess the blue eyes gave it away."

Zakuro asks "Why does Dren look like his age was regressed?"

I spoke "He's not the same Dren you remember though Renee. The one we knew was an alien, this one's a wolfcat beastman."

Zakuro spoke "…Huh."

I ask "That aside, what happened to the folks here?"

Zakuro spoke "Everyone’s trying to recover but we forgot food is scarce here, so Sumarda’s on a run to get food, supplies and needs help."

I rustle through my left wing before pulling out a large amount of blue aqua.

I spoke "Maybe this can help."

Zakuro gasps "How did you-"

“Undisclosed location.” I simply answered.

Danyelle spoke "It's so that bad people don't get their greedy hands on it."

Wastelands Sumarda popped up with a lot of boxes. “Huh, same for me.”

A powerful yowl rings clear.

“That sounded like-“ I noticed.

Zakuro spoke "Getting to work already? I really wish she’d try to take it easy, but… *Sigh*"

Minto spoke "If she keeps using the Yowl of Purification, she'll destroy her own voice."

“What?! We gotta stop her and save her!” I said.

I whistle loud before a blue wolf with two horns on the head was heard howling.

I was soon on the wolf's back as it raced to where Wastelands Danyelle was.

I spoke "Danieru! Stop this right now before you destroy your voice for good!"

Danieru spoke "I can’t stop! I have to keep going! If I don’t, I won’t be able to restore the timeline!"

I spoke "Don't be an idiot! If you lose your voice, then you WON'T be able to use the Yowl of Purification!"

Danieru spoke "*Grabs and shakes me* I CAN’T LOSE ANYONE ELSE! *Sigh* I can’t… I have to be strong enough…"

I spoke "I brought something that will be more effective."

I showed Danieru the blue aqua.

Danieru spoke "That won’t work for me…"

I spoke "I know the blue aqua won't bring back the lives that were lost but I know your kids wouldn't want to be sad forever."

Danieru spoke "*Sniffle* But I miss them so much…"

My ears perk up when I heard barking.

I spoke "Hold on, you hear that? It sounds like barking."

A monster of the same species as the one I was with had started barking.

I spoke "Two howls, one long yip, a short yip and a bark... *Gasp* Your eldest son is alive!"

Danieru asks "…What?"

I spoke "Let's go!"

I grab Danieru and pulled her onto the wolf's back before it runs off towards the barking.

Noticing Danieru, Wastelands Kuro spoke "MOM!!!"

Danieru gasps "Kuro!"

The scarred nine year old Mobian tomcat tackle hugs his mother.

A two year old shiny two tailed female Mew was on the boy's back.

Danieru asks "Hmm?"

Wastelands Akoya spoke "Mew! {Momma!}"

Danieru asks "Akoya?!"

Wastelands Akoya spoke "Mew! {I missed you so much momma!}"

Danieru hugged both of them with happy tears.

Wastelands Akoya licks her mother's cheek.

Wastelands Kuro hugged Danieru back.

I spoke "Least we found two of your kids Danieru."

Danieru spoke "*Sniff* Somehow... I hope the others are out there."

Wastelands Kuro spoke "After what happened, we lost track of the others, but we didn't find their bodies or any remains of them. So yeah, it's possible."

Danieru suddenly grabbed me, bringing me into the group hug. "Thanks, Zoey-Oh! I mean, Ichigo."

I spoke "Gah! I almost forgot you had insane strength!"

Danieru spoke "Oops! *Lets go of me with a bashful giggle* Sorry about that."

I ask "Do you know what happened to Featherwhisker though?"

Danieru spoke "Hmm? Haven't heard from him in years."

I spoke "I was talking with him a week ago."

Danieru asks "Really?"

I spoke "He's got an adorable daughter named Sweetwhisker."

Danieru spoke "Aww! Even the name sounds adorable!"

Wastelands Sumarda appeared. "Everyone at the hospital's all better."

I giggle "She's a total cutie."

Wastelands Sumarda asks "Who?"

I spoke "Featherwhisker's daughter."

Wastelands Sumarda spoke "Wow. Anyway, I got a plan about something."

The female draconequus whispered to me and Danieru about a plan for Minto and Nathan, making us snicker and giggle.

Wastelands Kuro snickers "But isn't Minto as dense as Ash is when it comes to romance?"

Danieru spoke "*Facepalms with a smile* Forgot about that hearing of yours."

Wastelands Kuro chuckles "I got it from you mom."

But then we heard a lion roar.

I used my magic to adjust my voice before roaring back in response.

Then the source roared back, telling me where that was coming from.

I roar once more, indicating that I wasn't alone.

The source roared back one more time, informing me that Wastelands Rani was with them, much to my surprise.

I roar three times, letting the other person know that I was with Danieru and two of her kids.

The source roared two more times, telling me that they’re coming to us with Rani.

I roar back once more, letting the male know that I was heading back to the hospital.

“Good news, Dani. Rani’s coming back.” I smiled.

Danieru spoke "Oh thank goodness."

A masculine howl was heard once more.

Danieru spoke "That sounds like…"

A thinner than normal two tailed fox Mobian male collapses due to hunger.

Wastelands Sumarda spoke "Whoa! *Brings out some food and water for the male* Easy there, bud. Let me help."

The malnourished fox viciously attacks Wastelands Sumarda, going straight for the throat.

Wastelands Sumarda spoke "*Dodges* YIKES! *Withdraws food and water before bringing out a big juicy steak* Guess I have to bring out the meat-eater’s special today."

The steak caught the fox’s attention as his eyes followed it before Wastelands Sumarda placed it down in front of him, allowing him to ravenously devour the steak.

Danieru spoke "Guess I failed to mention that Tails had a Tarkatan parent..."

“Really, then Tarkatans might be a natural species in this timeline, and not from some disease.” I said in relief, much to Danieru’s confusion as Wastelands Tails finished eating.

Wastelands Tails spoke "Sorry about that. I really lost it and I hoped no one would find out."

I spoke "No harm done Tails, but I would like to know what happened to your dad."

Wastelands Tails spoke "…It’s because of him that mom and I were safe from his tribe."

Wastelands Kuro asks "But didn't your mom get killed by the other Tarkatans when she got too close to their territory?"

Wastelands Tails spoke "That was 12 years ago. I wasn’t just picked on by other foxes for having an extra tail, but also for having tarkatan abilities."

I ask "And what about Miyuki and Pixie? What happened to them?"

Wastelands Tails spoke "I… I don’t know what happened to them! All I saw after the attack was Miyuki’s right hand and Pixie’s right foot! I-I didn’t want to believe it, but I think they’re… *Whimper*"

Hmm… Presumed dead? That just means they could be alive.

I pull the half-Tarkatan fox in for a hug to calm his nerves down.

Wastelands Tails cries "S-Sorry… I’m just… I’m sorry…"

A ponyish howl rings loud, followed by two vulpine howls.

Wastelands Tails asks "H-Huh?"

I spoke "Sounded like Twilight found your sisters."

Wastelands Tails asks "R-Really?"

I spoke "Yeah."

Despite missing a back leg, Wastelands Twilight soon arrives with an Alolan Ninetales with a missing hand and a Kantonian Vulpix with a missing foot.

Wastelands Twilight spoke "Had to cut off the poison from my infected leg somehow."

I spoke "Heaven's sakes Twilight, you're a bigger idiot than a certain Mew I know."

Wastelands Twilight growls "...Are you saying I'm stupid?"

"What? No." I responded.

Wastelands Twilight growls "Do I look stupid, TO YOU?"

Danieru and her two kids started laughing.

Even Wastelands Tails and his sisters started laughing as I joined the laughter too.

Wastelands Twilight asks "Walked right into that one, didn't I?"

I giggle "You kinda had that one coming Sparkle Butt."

Wastelands Twilight spoke "Well, we should get back to the hospital."

Wastelands Sumarda spoke "Yep."

I hoist Wastelands Twilight up onto my back before taking flight back to the hospital as the others follow.

Soon, a group arrived at the hospital with Wastelands Rani.

I spoke "I think it's time I use the blue aqua to revitalize the land."

Wastelands Sumarda asks "Do you need a lot or supercharge one?"

I spoke "I got this."

I push the blue aqua into the dry ground while thinking about the restoration of the land.

Bright light spreads out across the ground as plants and trees suddenly regrow, turning the desolate place into one of beauty.

"There we go." I smiled before my phone started ringing.

Putting a soundproof barrier around myself so I could take the call in private, I ask "Princess Ichigo Higashikata speaking, what's up?"

The voice asks "Zoey? Is that you?"

That voice. It sounded like... "Retasu?"

I ask "Have you found Kiki yet?"

Retasu spoke "Pai's trying to contact Taruto right now."

I decided not to mention anything about my son yet.

I spoke "Minto, Zakuro and I at the hospital."

Retasu spoke "Thanks, Ichi. And it sounds like Pai managed to get through. Purin and Taruto are okay."

Lying, I ask "No sign of Kish huh?"

Retasu spoke "Not even a hair."

Keeping up with the lie, I spoke "It's as though he disappeared for good."

Retasu spoke "Well, Pai and Taruto aren't giving up on him."

I spoke "I forgot to mention, I have kids now. A girl named Shizue and a boy named Kanai."

Retasu spoke "Really? Wow. That’s a bit crazy how you and Kish did it before everything that happened."

I spoke "Heh, yeah."

I think to myself "{I better keep a tight lid on the fact that "Kanai" is actually Kish.}"

I spoke "See you soon."

Retasu spoke "You, Purin and the other girls too."

I then whispered to her the plan about Minto and Nathan, making Retasu snicker before I ended the call.

After dropping the barrier, I used my magic to change the color of Kanai's fur to a chocolate brown and the eyes to blue.

Holding Kanai in my arms, I spoke "I'm sorry sweetie but I can't risk revealing who you really are, not yet anyway."

Kanai simply looked at me, confused and curious.

I ask "What now Minto?"

Minto spoke "Sorry, it’s just something about you’s been on my mind."

I ask "You're one to talk Birdie, need I remind you about your crush on Nathan?"

Minto stammers "*Blush* W-Would you drop it already?"

“And why is that, Lady?” I teased.

Minto spoke "SHUT UP ZOEY!!"

"Nyeh!" I smiled with my tongue out.

Minto spoke "Still the same cheeky cat I remember."

"Heehee, and you're still the same birdbrain I remember." I giggled.

Minto spoke "And don't get me started on the fact you're still scared of ghosts!"

But then we heard the door open.

My tail had fluffed up in surprise.

"Who're there?" I asked.

Sandstorm started growling.

I went to where the door was opened, seeing a group as Rani was with them.

I was soon bowled over by at least a dozen non-Mobian cats, among them was Wastelands Blackstar and Wastelands Leopardstar.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Easy, everycat!"

But then I noticed lion and lioness-like mews at the entrance as well.

I spoke "Hey Firestar, I'm not seeing any-cat from that fifth clan you told me about."

Wastelands Tallstar was coughing since his health wasn't that good.

"Easy, Tallstar. Don't overdo it." I said.

Wastelands Firestar spoke "It's probably because they don't know about you."

Wastelands Tallstar meows "I'm not going to last much longer.... And I have a bad feeling that my second in command will destroy WindClan from the inside..."

"Mudclaw?" I asked.

Wastelands Tallstar meows "StarClan told me that Mudclaw is not the right cat to lead WindClan after I pass on, I'm going to have Onewhisker be my *cough* successor... I don't want WindClan and ThunderClan lose the friendship."

The old tom passes away in my arms as his ninth life comes to an end.

I call out Onewhisker's name.

Onewhisker asks "*Shows up* Ichigo? What happened?"

I spoke "Mudclaw's not going to like this but Tallstar chose you to be the new leader of WindClan."

I soon hear a hiss from Mudclaw since the mottled dark brown tabby tom was not happy.

I cut Mudclaw off with a sharp snarl, stopping hm in his tracks.

I growl "That is ENOUGH Mudclaw! Your temper won't do WindClan any good."

Mudclaw backed off, giving a low growl while looking away.

I spoke "It was Tallstar's choice since he didn't want WindClan to be destroyed."

But then I turned my attention to the group of mews that helped escorted Wastelands Rani here.

Danieru spoke "Rani!"

Wastelands Rani rushed at Danieru as the two hugged with smiles.

I ask "Firestar, could you tell me about the fifth clan of cats?"

Wastelands Firestar spoke "Okay, I'll try."

I spoke "The only clue I have is the marking that's on Skystar's wrist."

I show Wastelands Firestar a photo of Skystar's wrist, showing a marking on it.

Wastelands Firestar spoke "Right."

"Hopefully, I'll be back in time to catch up with the other girls and to set the plan in motion." I said, giggling at that last part.

Sandstorm asks "You okay Firestar?"

Wastelands Firestar asks "*Chuckle* How can I not be okay with one of my mates by my side?"

Onewhisker notices Wastelands Firestar's wings.

Onewhisker chuckles "Guess you've changed a lot since you left your Clan without a leader for some time."

Wastelands Firestar spoke "I'll explain everything once I bring SkyClan to the sanctuary."
