Chapters “Thanks again so much for your help this week, Sandbar. It’s made things so much easier,” Fluttershy told Sandbar as he finished coiling up the hose and putting it back in the shed, after he finishing topping off the ponds and water reserves in the mare’s animal sanctuary.
“Thank you for having me, Professor Fluttershy. It’s helped so much with keeping myself busy and occupied,” Sandbar said as he closed and locked the equipment shed.
“Missing Ocellus already?” The Element of Kindness asked sympathetically.
“Heh, it’s that obvious? She’d been warning me for weeks that she would have to return to the Changeling Hive for most of the summer due to mating season, because it wouldn’t be 100% safe for her to be here during that period. But it’s barely been a week, and their mating season lasts for almost half the summer…” Sandbar told her.
“Well, I’m glad she’s being so responsible. It’s better to be safe than sorry. You’re both still very young, and you don’t want the two of you accidentally getting into any life-altering situations. I’m very happy to have you here to help out, and you’re always welcome, but don’t forget to mix things up while she’s gone. The last thing I want is for you to get bored helping me here at the sanctuary. A few shifts in the castle kitchen pays quite well, and it’s been a few months since you’ve visited the Canterlot Aquarium, hasn’t it?”
“Yeah, it would be nice to get back up there, and I’ll try and remember to mix things up and keep my summer interesting,” Sandbar assured her.
“Good. Again, I’m always glad to have you here, Sandbar, and am looking forward to seeing you again.”
The stallion gave her a smile and a nod, then turned to leave down the path that went around her cottage to the dirt path that would head west back into town. As soon as he crossed the bridge that led to the town pavilion, he stuck to the southern streets of town as he crossed Ponyville to the western neighborhood where he lived with his mom, dad, and little sister. He headed up the front walk and opened the front door, and was curious why he wasn’t getting the familiar smell of dinner being cooked, as had almost always happened around 5:30 in the evening.
“Mom, dad, I’m home!” Sandbar announced. After he was done wiping his hooves on the mat, he turned to see that his parents, Beachcomber and High Tide, were currently entertaining a very unexpected guest in the den.
“King Thorax?” Sandbar asked. Fighting through his surprise, he offered a quick bow.
“Sandbar, don’t be ridiculous, you don’t have to stand on ceremony in your own home,” Thorax greeted.
“What are you doing here, Your Majesty? Is Ocellus okay?” The stallion asked.
The changeling leader nodded.
“Ocellus is completely fine, Sandbar. I’m here to discuss the letter you sent me a couple weeks ago,” Thorax told him.
As Thorax pulled a piece of folded parchment from his saddlebag, Sandbar’s polite smile vanished as he was offered the letter and accepted it, opening it to confirm that it was the correspondence he had mailed off a few days before Ocellus left for the hive.
To His Majesty King Thorax
Let me start by saying how amazing my relationship with one of your most esteemed subjects, Ocellus has been this past year. Not only am I grateful for her continuing to be around when our polycule of three broke off, but I am beyond happy to have her continued acceptance and companionship as I continued to discover a new side of myself.
Ocellus has told me that the Equestrian concept of marriage has no exact equivalent in changeling society, so I would like to formally express my interest in deepening my commitment with her. I’ve been wanting to visit the Changeling Kingdom for some time, and I also understand the changeling mating season is quickly approaching in the summer.
I might as well stop beating around the bush; I’m curious what you can tell me about oviposition, if that’s something changelings still do since the Metamorphosis, and if so, if Ocellus would be willing to indulge me in this curiosity. I wanted to come to you first with this, just in case it’s become a taboo topic among your subjects.

Beachcomber and High Tide had immediately saw how petrified their son was that this had been brought up in front of them. Thorax had already showed them the contents of the letter before Sandbar had arrived home.
“First off son, we’re not mad or shocked, in case you were afraid of that,” his dad began. “If anything, we’re glad that if you’re truly curious about something like this, that you’re approaching it in a very safe and responsible manner, such as corresponding with King Thorax here.”
“And I’m here, reassuring your parents, that if you do decide to visit us at the hive for mating season, that you will be absolutely safe and cared for... Because Ocellus and her brood have agreed to indulge this curiosity.”
Sandbar’s eyes widened, unsure if he believed his ears.
“R-Really?” The stallion asked.
Thorax nodded.
“Not only has Ocellus spoken very highly of you, Sandbar, but your ‘ageplay’ fetish has given her a taste of a love so deep and ingrained that few changelings get the opportunity to experience. So yes, she and her brood are very accepting and open-minded of your curiosity. So to answer your question, oviposition isn’t something that has been performed since the Metamorphosis, but it is still possible. While it is normally females of various species that are selected, it is possible to incubate in males as well. I just wanted to make sure you’re fully aware of what you’re in for if you decide to do this, because during incubation, you, and the eggs, would be safest in the hive.”
Sandbar swallowed, keeping his nerves in check while discussing this in front of his parents.
“I’m all ears, Your Majesty,” the stallion replied.
“Firstly, I would ask that you bring along what you require for several weeks of your ageplay kink. Because while I won’t say that many of my subjects are outright jealous of what Ocellus has tasted from you, I will say that they are very curious about your fetish, and would undoubtedly like the opportunity to taste it for themselves while you are incubating.”
“You…. You mean being foalsat by… By the entire hive?” Sandbar asked.
“Well, perhaps not quite all of them, but incubation lasts several weeks, and you wouldn’t be unconscious in a cocoon or anything like that. But during the incubation period, it may be accurate to say that you’ll be outright ravenous, or at the very least you’d be ingesting considerably more than you normally do. It’s essential for the development of the eggs. Speaking of the eggs, they are very, very efficient at nutrient processing. So as much as your intake would increase for those weeks, your waste output would actually decrease, and you wouldn’t need to worry about unnecessary weight gain, either.”
High Tide saw how her son was nearly quivering with nervousness as he took in the information the changeling leader was giving him.
“So, just to set all of our minds at ease, what is the end stage of incubation? Do the eggs, um, hatch inside him, and whether they do or not, is delivery… Painful at all?” She asked.
“You’re all putting my mind a little more at ease by asking for all this information. No, they don’t hatch inside. Once they’ve gathered enough nutrients, and grown enough, they detach from the lining of the stomach or colon, depending on what, um, entrance the ovipositor used,” Thorax paused for a moment when Sandbar blushed profusely at those words. “In terms of what you call ‘delivery’, I’ve heard egg-laying can be a somewhat intense experience, but painful? No. The eggs are quite malleable, and secrete a nerve-numbing agent that makes it almost entirely pain-free. When it’s over, the eggs finish development with the rest of the clutches in the nursery chambers, and while Sandbar here may be a little woozy and groggy, it will pass within a few days, and he’ll be no worse for wear.”
“And would he be expected to stay and help raise them?” Beachcomber asked.
Thorax shook his head.
“No, not at all. After laying the eggs, the incubator would typically be taken and dropped far from the hive, usually close to the area that they were taken from. Apologies if that sounds somewhat malevolent; again, this is something changelings haven’t done since the Metamorphosis. But raising our young has always been a communal task. Don’t get me wrong, Sandbar, if you want to help in that regard, you are welcome to, just know that it was never something that was required, or frankly, expected, from incubators. We’d actually have to think considerably hard to come up with what you could help with.”
“Alright, that’s good. I don’t want my curiosity to cause any disruptions of the way things work for your kingdom, Your Majesty,” Sandbar told him.
“No worries, Sandbar. If anything, most changelings who know about you and Ocellus are curious about the taste of your ageplay kink, so I’d wager that they’re probably more worried about intruding on you,” Thorax told him. “But if this is something you really want to do, know that we’re ready to have you visit us through the mating season.”
Sandbar’s gaze drifted over to his mom and dad.
“Son, you’re very nearly an adult in our society, and I’ve long felt that you’re fairly mature for your age. So if it’s our blessing you’re looking for, you have it. We trust you to be respectful while you explore a new part of yourself yet again, just as we trust Thorax to keep you safe,” his dad told him.
“Ditto, and we hope you have a good time, sweetheart,” his mom said.
Sandbar took another deep breath, and returned his attention to Thorax.
“Alright, um, wow. So, should I go get ready, Your Majesty?” The stallion asked.
“Take your time so you don’t accidentally forget anything, Sandbar. I’m spending the night at the Ponyville Inn. If you can be ready by morning, we can take the train together to the closest station to the hive.”
Sandbar nodded.
“I’ll be ready, and thank you again.”

After Thorax had departed to return to the Ponyville Inn for the evening, Sandbar had immediately set about getting a quick packing list together in his room. The absolute last thing he wanted to do was to keep him waiting in the morning by procrastinating.
The first thing that gave him pause was trying to figure out how many diapers to pack for what he was told would be up to a month of continuous ageplaying. Because he almost always kept it behind the closed doors of his home, he usually kept his sessions to one or two days at a time. He had long been getting the most premium diapers from the ‘adult’ section of Silly Filly, which hardly need to be changed every single wetting.
He quickly figured that packing too many would be better than not packing enough, so he opted for an entire case’s worth, which would simplify packing immensely, due to having just recently restocked his stash, and the eight packs of sealife-patterned diapers hadn’t yet been taken out of the large cardboard box in the back of his closet.
When it came to changing supplies, however, that required an evening trip out to Silly Filly before they closed.
“Good evening, Sandbar. Always a pleasure to see you,” Soothing Care greeted. “Weren’t you just in here for a restock?”
Normally, anypony underage wouldn’t be allowed into the rear ageplay section, but his parents had quickly come to an arrangement with the married owners, Gentle and Soothing.
“That I was, Mrs. Care, but I’ve got a rather… Unique opportunity, and I don’t think I have enough changing supplies. I’ve been invited to the Changeling Kingdom, for what could be a month to a month-and-a-half of ageplay.”
“Well well, aren’t we the lucky little colt. But I thought it was mating season for the changelings. I thought that the reason they retreat back to their hive for most of the summer is because it’s not quite safe to be around other creatures,” Soothing replied.
“Yeah, that’s… Kinda the reason I’ve been invited. You see, I may have expressed my curiosity in… Oviposition… You know, getting—”
“I know what it is, Sandbar, you don’t have to embarrass yourself by explaining,” Soothing told him, noticing his cheeks go red. “Oh, if I only had parents like yours when I was growing up… Anyways… Based on your preferences, I’d recommend four bottles of mineral oil, and six packs of wipes, just to be on the safe side. I very sincerely hope that one; you’re being safe, and two; that you’re not going to risk burning out on ageplay if you are honestly playing for that long.”
“I hope so too, Mrs. Care, believe me,” Sandbar replied.
“Well, I’ll go get you the adult-sized wipes from the back, and you can get the bottles of oil from up here. Be back in a moment,” Soothing said.
Sandbar went to the appropriate aisle, and grabbed his preferred brand, and by the time he got back to the counter, Soothing had returned with the packs of wipes.
“Alright, Sandbar, that will be 35 bits,” Soothing told him after he was rung up. The stallion slid her a pair of 20-bit pieces, and received his correct change before his items were bagged.
“Again, I very much hope that you enjoy yourself. And from one curious kinkster to another, you will simply have to tell me what it was like when you get back,” Soothing told him with a wink.
“Thanks, Soothing. I hope I do too. Have a good night!”
When he returned home, Sandbar decided on another small, plain cardboard box for his changing supplies, writing “SANDBAR” on both of them with a black marker to make them easily identifiable in the train’s baggage car.
Apart from that, he packed a saddlebag with some snacks and a journal in case there was anything he absolutely had to get down in writing during this experience. With his packing list triple-checked and ready to take to the train station tomorrow, he shut off the light, laid down in bed, and wondered if he was going to get any decent amount of sleep tonight.
“You alright, Sandbar?”
Sandbar was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard the voice of the Changeling leader sitting next to him on the train.
“Hm?” He asked, looking over from the window to Thorax, in the aisle seat.
“Are you alright? You look a little tense,” the changeling repeated.
Sandbar took a deep breath as his gaze fell over to the backs of the next row of seats.
“Just… A little nervous… Okay, really nervous, and really excited. Professor Pinkie Pie calls it ‘nervicited’. I’m very happy I don’t have to wait over a month to see Ocellus again, and for her and her family to be okay with me thinking about something like this… Is just… Wow. I’ve said it to her plenty of times, but dating a changeling is just… Unreal to me sometimes, with how your species experiences love on an entirely different level. You’d be amazed how many ponies are absolutely repulsed by ageplay. I’m sure just as many would feel very similarly about what I’m about to experience now…”
Sandbar took another breath.
“I see this train car is pretty empty right now, if there’s anything more you’d like to ask, just to better prepare your expectations. I’m sure you were keeping some questions in reserve because of your parents being in the room,” Thorax told him with a gentle smile.
Sandbar quivered again, amazed at how understanding Thorax was.
“Ocellus’ parents are okay with this? I mean, like really okay with it? You didn’t sugarcoat anything, right? They’ll just watch their daughter put… Eggs into me?” Sandbar asked, his voice hushed, in case any passengers were hidden behind the seats.
“I didn’t sugarcoat anything, Sandbar. I just showed them the letter you wrote me,” Thorax answered as the train slowed as it approached the station closest to the Changeling Hive, which was still a couple miles out. They were the only two to get up from their seats for this stop. The conductor helped pull Sandbar’s boxes from the baggage car onto the platform, before the train was once again on its way. The stallion saw that the planning had been thorough, because there was an empty one-pony wagon, waiting for his things, which he promptly got loaded up and then hitched himself to the wagon, walking alongside Thorax down the forest path towards the hive.
“And if you’re up for it, I have a feeling they’re willing to do more than just watch… Depending on how many eggs you think you can take.”
Sandbar almost tripped over himself.
‘Damnit, don’t you dare,’ Sandbar silently growled to his nether regions.
“You think you’ll be okay with that?” Thorax asked.
The quivering stallion took another breath.
“Honestly, Your Majesty, I think I’m just now beginning to worry a little bit about all the things I’m apparently okay with,” he began. “Like I said on the train, my relationship with Ocellus has been… Beyond amazing. Part of me knows it’s naive to say something like this when I’m only 17, almost 18 years old… But I don’t think I can imagine my life without her anymore. I mean, she can turn into anything , and I find myself being most attracted to… Herself. Her adorable, default changeling form. I mean, why else would I wake up one morning, and my brain goes, ‘Hey, you know what would be hot? Changeling eggs. Inside you .’”
Thorax couldn’t help but chuckle at how the young stallion next to him poured his heart out as if he was talking to just another friend.
“So… Um…” Sandbar fumbled with his words a bit as he took another breath. “Speaking of the eggs… Um, how big are they? I mean, when they first go in?”
“Just a little smaller than a mature walnut,” Thorax told him. “And before you ask how big they get, it depends on the creature. Even in the days of Chrysalis’ reign, hosts being injured during the process of oviposition was virtually unheard of; after all, the ultimate goal was to keep the host comfortable and docile as they incubated the eggs. It’s safe to say that the eggs will let your body know when it’s time for them to come out, and once you’ve laid them, they’ll be taken to the nursery chamber to finish developing.”
Sandbar took another quiet breath as they cleared the treeline, and he beheld the towering changeling hive, with all manner of vegetation surrounding it.
“Just to let you know, since you’re certainly still wrestling with your nerves; this is probably your last chance to change your mind,” Thorax told him.
“After you’ve told me what they’re willing to do for me, and how curious your subjects are about my ageplay? Not a chance,” Sandbar told him.
“Alright then,” Thorax said, with an air of finality. “Let’s head on in.”

Sandbar couldn’t deny the tingly feeling of déjà vu as he walked alongside Thorax towards the Changeling Hive. He was reminded of the first time he had introduced Gallus to his family, and the first time he walked into Silly Filly to inquire about the adult section.
Of course, the déjà vu brought a mixed bag of emotions and rather unpleasant memories along with it; after all, the griffon, his first boyfriend, was no longer a part of his life, and his inquiry about Silly Filly’s adult products had been sorrowfully rejected due to his being underage until his parents had talked to the owners.
So now, he was truly hoping that just this one time, the tingles of overwhelming anticipation would be worth it.
Sandbar’s nostrils had picked up a light lemony scent in the air as he and Thorax crossed the fields to the hive, and once he was unhitched from the wagon and pushing his boxes through the entrance proper, it was much stronger. It reminded him of the smell of Ocellus’ ‘smoke’ when she did her ‘venting’ technique to release small build-ups of love. But now it was much more concentrated.
“Alright, if you’re really ready, the burrow belonging to Ocellus and her brood is right down that corridor. I’ll come check on you in a bit,” Thorax told him, pointing to a small passageway in the right wall. It went straight for a few feet before curving slightly to the left and opened up into a sizable cavern. Carpet-like green moss covered most of the rocky surface, and light was provided both from the partially open ceiling, and a large unlit lantern hanging from a teal-blue tree, likely for evening hours.
Once he and his boxes came out from the dimly lit passageway, he was immediately spotted by the trio of changelings in the burrow.
“Sandbar!” Ocellus greeted happily, immediately breaking into a gallop towards her feedmate, and, sidestepping the boxes, threw her front hooves around him in a tight hug, which he immediately returned.
“Hey, Ocellus. You’re looking…” Sandbar trailed off, trying to find the right words as she parted from the embrace.
“Pent up?” Ocellus offered, shivering as her wings fluttered for a moment. Her moderate cyan eyes and light amaranth neck fin looked like they had been tossed in glitter since the last time he saw her.
“I was going to say, ‘sparkly’, but um, yeah let’s go with that,” Sandbar said with a light chuckle as her mom and dad also came up to greet him.
Her dad, Carapace, was a light blue changeling, with orange eyes, a cobalt-colored chitin, a light green carapace, his wings were a mix of cobalt and off-white, and he was the only member of his brood without a tail fin.
Her mom, Spiracle, was a light teal changeling, her eyes were a deep purple, her chitin fading to a light pink, her carapace was what he would call ‘Fluttershy Yellow’, her wings were a slightly darker pink, and her tail fin darker still. She also lacked the ‘horn’ that her daughter and husband had.
“It’s great to see you again, Sandbar,” Carapace greeted, having previously met their daughter’s romantic interest in Ponyville during parent teacher conferences last winter. “Normally, I’d say we wish we were seeing you under different circumstances, but, well, with what Thorax has told us, it sounds like these are the exact circumstances you find yourself curious about.”
Sandbar visibly quivered again standing next to his boxes of ageplay supplies, looking at all three changelings as their eyes, wings, and tails sparkled.
“Y-yeah… I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to properly describe how beside myself I am that you all are willing to do something like this for me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much .”
“Sandbar, I sincerely hope Thorax has made it clear how much this means to us , as well,” Spiracle began. “Oviposition has not been performed on anycreature since the Metamorphosis, and while it’s not overly painful, it can be a very intense experience. But incubated eggs are generally much stronger and healthier than their non-incubated brethren.”
“He did make that clear, Spiracle,” Sandbar told her.
“Okay, um, I don’t mean to hurry this along,” Ocellus began as she pranced in place. “But it’s been enough of a chore waiting for him to get here. How long are we going to talk about it?”
Carapace chuckled softly at his daughter’s impatience.
“Ocellus sort of has a point, Sandbar. It’s taking considerable fortitude for all three of us not to pounce on you right now, which again, is what you’re probably looking for,” he said, his words getting a shiver out of the poor colt.
“I’m sure you can tell from our eyes that we can tell how excited you are for this, Sandbar. We’re sure Thorax more or less stood on ceremony while he was explaining things to you and your parents, so if you’d allow us to be somewhat… Less cordial…” Spiracle said.
“Something that Ocellus has been able to explain for us when it comes to equine kinks and fetishes, is how dark and taboo they occasionally become,” Carapace continued.
“What we’re trying to say, Sandbar, is if this oviposition fantasy of yours gravitates more towards how changelings treated incubators before the Metamorphosis… Then just say so. Because we’ll gladly be as gentle… Or as rough … As you want,” Ocellus told him, as the trio’s eyes sparkled with the residual love and emotions the colt was giving off.
Carapace, Spiracle, and Ocellus closed their eyes in concentration for a moment, and after a flash of transformation magic, Sandbar’s heart skipped a beat as their forms had changed to the cyan-eyed, holey-legged, black-carapace appearance that all changelings had under Chrysalis. He could barely tell them apart, save for Carapace being a couple inches taller than Spiracle, and she an inch above Ocellus.
Then his eyes fell from their facial features down to the phallus-like ovipositors that now drooped down from between their hind legs, slowly becoming more stiff and rigid.
“You still okay, Sandbar?” Spiracle asked him.
The colt took a long, deep breath, as he realized that his feedmate had read him like so many of her books; quickly and easily. He slowly exhaled, and looked the trio of changelings in the eyes.
“Yeah,” Sandbar replied, his quivering voice almost an octave higher than usual. “It’s nothing, just a teenage colt, standing face-to-face with the kinky fantasy he’s had for less than a month...”
Ocellus gave him a soft smile. His whimpering sarcasm immediately betrayed his nervousness, but also let her know that she and her parents had guessed perfectly , as he began to unsheathe between his hind legs.
“Sure, why not? In fact, you know what? No safe word, either. Authenticity and all. Let’s save the gentleness for the ageplay afterwards…” Sandbar told them, his voice continuing to shake ever so slightly as the three broodmates stepped towards him.
“It’s alright, don’t be nervous… Actually, maybe be a little nervous. It tastes so good …” Ocellus told him, licking her lips. “Mom, dad, you two go first. I want to watch…”
Carapace and Spiracle stepped forward, their eyes sparkling with residual love.
“Might as well give him the authentic experience he’s looking for…” Carapace said, before he opened his mouth wide. Sandbar saw his tonsils vibrate for a moment before a glob of green goop was ejected out of his mouth. The stallion didn’t even have time to instinctually jump back before the glob splattered against his front hooves. It was sticky and thick, immediately and effectively pinning his front hooves to the ground.
“Nice shot, and you haven’t done that in years,” Spiracle told her mate. “Which end do you think he wants, Ocellus?”
“Oh, definitely both at the same time. Remember how I told you how much me and him loved getting taken at both ends? Ponies call that ‘spitroasting’, and it’s amazing,” Ocellus answered, nearly drooling.
“If you say so,” Spiracle replied, going around to his rear while Carapace approached him from the front.
They saw how their guest was nearly shivering in nervousness, but the excited anticipation they tasted as they closed in on him told them all they needed to know. In the discussions they had as a brood before Thorax invited Sandbar here, they decided that if this was the direction his fantasy was leaning, that constantly asking if he was alright, or using a safe word, would certainly dilute the experience he was looking for.
And with Ocellus staying back for now and watching was another layer of safety as well, as she’d be able to tell if he was in any considerable discomfort.
“He’s certainly looking receptive, that’s for sure,” Spiracle commented, eyeing his growing erection as she slowly licked up and down both his hind legs, letting her considerable amounts of saliva pool around his back hooves, forming a pair of pools that quickly turned into inescapable globs of adhesive.
Sandbar watched as his view of the burrow was blocked by Carapace as he stepped directly in front of him and reared up on his hind legs, giving the colt a very clear look at the transparent, lime green ovipositor that was moving towards his mouth, as he felt the changeling’s front legs on his back.
“Sweet Celestia, you all are amazing… Thank yo—”
Sandbar’s gratitude was cut short as Carapace’s ovipositor slid effortlessly into his mouth.
“Come on now, broodmare, that mouth, and throat of yours has better uses than talking…” Carapace told him.
Sandbar felt a wave of heat upon hearing the name he was just called. Yes, that’s all he was, a desperate broodmare that needed eggs . He tried to focus on the warm, slimy appendage in his mouth, but quickly felt additional weight as Spiracle’s front hooves joined her mate’s up on his back, and he felt another warm, slippery ovipositor move up and down against his sphincter, before she adjusted the angle, and the tip slid in.
The colt moaned at the exquisite sensation of getting taken from both ends. Out of his peripheral vision, he saw Ocellus lightly rub her twitching ovipositor in a sitting position.
“Not too much now, Ocellus. You want those eggs inside him instead of having to take them right down to the nursery pools, right?” Her mother told her.
Sandbar noticed her stop touching herself right before almost all of his vision was blocked, as Carapace pushed in further, and his tip slid down his throat. The colt’s eyes widened in amazement; he had deep-throated before, but never that quickly or easily. He also noticed the complete absence of his gag reflex as the ovipositor continued several more inches into his throat. He wasn’t entirely sure how the ovipositor was doing it, but he was able to continue breathing through his nostrils, as oxygen passed through the appendage, going in and out of his lungs. It was still labored breathing, to be sure, but it was infinitely preferable to having his airflow cut off entirely.
In terms of what was happening behind him, he had never forgotten what it was like the first time he was knotted, and while Spiracle’s ovipositor didn’t have a knot, what it did have was a very impressive length. Either that, or he couldn’t tell how fast or slow she was going due to how slick the self-lubricating shaft was. Finally, after what must have been several seconds, he felt her thighs press against his flanks. Barely a second later, her thighs pulled away, then pushed back against him as she began to rut him at a similar pace to Carapace.
“This won’t take long, broodmare. Like Ocellus said, we’ve been eagerly waiting for you to get here,” Carapace said, letting out a hiss for just a touch more authenticity.
Sandbar let out a whimper as he used his tongue on the bottom of Carapace’s shaft as best as he was able. He would have spread his hind legs even more, if the adhesive goop had allowed him to. Through all of this, his ears twitched when he heard what must have been approaching hoofsteps from behind them.
“See, I told you we didn’t have long to get here,” he heard Thorax’s voice say.
“I wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes,” another voice answered, this one considerably lower, a bit more gravelly. “So he actually wants this, huh?”
“Like you wouldn’t believe,” Ocellus replied.
“That’s for sure. If he loves getting taken from both ends as much as Ocellus says, she’s gonna need a partner when we’re done. You up for it, Pharynx?” Carapace asked.
Sandbar didn’t hear an answer from this ‘Pharynx’ before he felt the pace of both Carapace and Spiracle falter for barely a moment.
“Oh, here they come, broodmare… Here they come!!!” Carapace warned, his voice tightening.
“Mine too!!!” Spiracle added, sounding like it was through gritted teeth.
Carapace gave a hard thrust and hilted in the colt’s mouth. Sandbar tried to look down, but due to the entire length being behind his lips, he was unable to see it.
But he felt it.
While he would normally be expecting ropes of warm cum at this point, his eyes widened and his mind nearly froze up as he felt the small orb travel down the length of Carapace’s shaft, go down his throat, and exited the tip. It was somewhat similar to swallowing a bite of food that was a little too big.
He felt one. Then another. Then a third.
Not even a second later, he felt a similar sensation in his rear. One. Two. Three. It felt incredibly akin to the time he and Ocellus made an evening of playing with a set of anal beads, but this sensation went much farther in than that toy had gone. As his mind tried to follow them as they moved up to his colon, what came next from the ovipositors was much more like he had grown accustomed to since he had become sexually active with his school friends; a rush of warm, thick goop from both tips.
His mind was barely able to recall the words when Thorax explained how the near-overwhelming process would go.
‘First the eggs, then their ‘first meal’ so to speak, a nutrient-filled supplement they’ll feed on as they attach themselves to the lining of your stomach and colon.’
Then that was it. He felt both ovipositors slowly pull themselves out, and he took a deep, full breath as the weight of both changelings left his back.
“I think he’s ready for more,” Thorax commented.
“Well of course he is,” Carapace added. “He’s still conscious.”
“Y-Yes… Please, more…” Were the only three words Sandbar could bring to his lips. Carapace had barely stepped aside before Ocellus was in her dad’s place.
Sandbar looked up at her black-coated face, as she reared up, gazing down at him.
“I love you so much, Ocellus…” Sandbar told his feedmate as he felt the tip of her ovipositor on his snout.
“I love you too. Come on, Pharynx, make the next generation of patrol guards nice and strong!”
Pharynx had been quick and quiet, because he felt the weight of both changelings at the same time, and their ovipositors slid in effortlessly at the same time.
They were… Different, and Sandbar wondered if it had to do with age. Ocellus had just reached maturity; her shaft got down the back of his throat when she hilted, but not nearly as far as her dad’s. When she began to thrust, her tip exited and entered his throat again and again, and still, not a single hint of the gag reflex that he had generally struggled with when it came to his oral skills. And Pharynx’s was more… Bulbous. Thicker than Spiracle, not quite as long, but just as slippery.
“Wow… He was ready , I’ll give him that,” he heard Pharynx comment as he began to aggressively thrust.
“Ready to admit you were wrong yet, Pharynx?” Thorax asked.
“Pah. We’re barely five minutes into the next six or so weeks. Don’t count your eggs yet, little broodmate,” Pharynx replied as he rutted the colt in front of him.
“Can’t help but wonder if he’s counting…” Ocellus added, her breathing quickening. “Wow, it’s coming so fast…”
“It’s your first time, Ocellus, just go with it,” Spiracle encouraged.
“Sandbar!” Ocellus gasped as she hilted in his mouth, just in time for the first egg to travel down her length and down into her feedmate’s body.
One. Two.
For Sandbar, it was a little easier to keep track of, as Pharynx clearly hadn’t hit his peak yet. As he felt Ocellus’ nutrient goop join her eggs down his esophagus, he looked up at her as his vision began to blur.
Spiracle must have noticed his eyelids.
“Hurry up, Pharynx, he’s fading,” she said.
“No worries, Spiracle… No worries at all…!”
With gritted teeth, Pharynx hilted into the colt’s rectum, and Sandbar’s drooping eyelids momentarily widened as Ocellus was pulling herself out of his mouth.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five.
Sandbar’s body slowly peeled away from the waking world, and one by one, his senses faded to nothing. First, his vision turned black. Then, he could no longer hear the labored breathing of his feedmate. At the same time, he lost feeling in his hooves covered in the adhesive slime, and also lost the sweet and slightly sour taste of the nutrient supplement on his tongue when Ocellus had pulled out.
Lastly, the overpowering lemony smell that had permeated every square inch of the hive since he arrived minutes ago was no longer detectable to his nostrils as he completed his descent into a sea of nothingness.

Thorax was making his usual patrol through the main level of the hive, making sure everyling was doing alright, and that there were no accidental ‘bursts’ of love. They were usually rare, but ever since Ocellus had told him about the time it had happened to her in the dormitory at Princess Twilight’s school, he wanted to be careful, especially with changelings around the same age as her who were having their first mating season.
It was also his opportunity to check on his elder broodmate, Pharynx, who, as always, had chosen to guard the main corridor down to the nursery pools.
“Still holding up, Pharynx? Nice and focused now?” Thorax asked, with a hint of teasing in his tone of voice.
“Don’t pretend like I wasn’t before, Thorax,” Pharynx replied. “Besides, if you didn’t ask me to hold off, instead of being one of the first to deposit my clutch in the pools, I would have been focused on the first day.”
“But you did wait, and for that I am very grateful… And I’m certain our special guest is too,” Thorax told him.
“Hmph,” was his brother’s only reply.
Thorax let out a soft sigh.
“Still don’t think this was a good idea?” Thorax asked him.
“I honestly didn’t know what to think when you first mentioned this idea three weeks ago. At first I was convinced it was a prank of some kind… But then he actually showed up. I still don’t know, Thorax. This is a special time for the hive, it always has been. If he’s not completely safe here, if anything happens to him… It could mean problems with Equestria,” Pharynx replied.
“I don’t see any reason to believe he’s not safe, especially now that he’s incubating. I did my very best to give him the clearest expectations of what he’s in for. The fact that he wanted to experience this? Yeah, I’ll be honest, I don’t completely understand it either, Pharynx, but you can’t deny that he was loving every second of it. You could taste it all the way out here in the main corridor. Wait… That’s not it, is it? Aw, is my elder broodmate embarrassed ?” Thorax teased.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Pharynx immediately told him.
“Oh don’t I? That is it . I was wondering what’s been eating at you the last few hours. So what annoys you more, Pharynx? That the swarm’s most gruff and no-nonsense warrior loved putting his clutch into a willing pony, or the possibility that he loved it more than you did ?”
Pharynx could only grumble as his cheeks tinted pink and he continued staring straight ahead, rather than give his brother the satisfaction of glaring at him.
“I’m only teasing, Pharynx. And I meant it when I said thank you. I know you didn’t want to leave your post for ten minutes, but I hope it’s going to mean amazing things for the survival rate this season,” Thorax told him.
“I hope so too.”
Sandbar awoke suddenly with a gasp, and took in his surroundings as his senses returned. He was laying on his side, and he felt a familiar pair of forelegs embracing him from behind.
“Mom, dad, he’s waking up,” he heard Ocellus’ voice right next to him. “You’re okay, Sandbar.”
The colt reached up and put his right hoof on Ocellus’, who was holding him just below his neck with her right leg, and cradling his head with her left.
“Wh… Whoa… ” Sandbar said just above a whisper, as the feeling in his body returned.
“Here, drink this,” he heard Spiracle say as Ocellus gently raised his head up a little more, and a small wooden bowl was put to his lips. When he opened his mouth, the bowl was tipped towards him, and a green liquid trickled into his mouth. As it flowed over his tongue, he realized it tasted like sour apple candy, as he swallowed once, twice, then a third time before the bowl was empty, and it was pulled away. Sandbar noticed how Ocellus and her parents had maintained their ‘pre-Metamorphosis’ appearances.
“How long have I been out?” Sandbar asked quietly, finding he was laying on a bed of leaves, grass, and moss in the center of the burrow.
“Just over six hours,” Carapace told him. “Are you feeling okay?”
Sandbar nodded, and continued to take slow, steady breaths. He looked up and saw the orange tint of sunset in the burrow’s opening. When he heard a crinkle as he moved his hind legs, he glanced down and saw that while he was out, Ocellus and her parents had unpacked his boxes of ageplay supplies, and gotten him taped snugly into a diaper.
“My… My heart is pounding… No, wait…” he said, as he let go of Ocellus’ hoof and put it on his chest.
No, his heart wasn’t pounding, his resting heartbeat was just… More pronounced… And there was something… More…
The eggs.
Sandbar laid there on his side as he concentrated inward, slowly moving his right hoof down his chest, across his lungs, down past his rib cage…
There.
He felt the gentle pulsating in his stomach. It wasn’t in sync with his heartbeat, and it took him a moment to realize that the eggs were pulsating in response to his heart. Keeping his right hoof where it was, he went lower still with his left, almost down to the waistband of his diaper, and he felt the second group of eggs in his colon, pulsing along with the first group. He was content to lay there for a moment and just take in the new, surreal sensation.
“Wow… Wow, they’re really inside me…” Sandbar said, a smile appearing on his face.
“Yep,” Spiracle told him. “They’ve had plenty of time to attach to the lining of your stomach and colon, so now you’ll be able to eat and drink to your heart’s content… And also to their content, as well. Rest assured that you’ll be eating for more than yourself now.”
“Just so you know, Sandbar,” Carapace continued. “We’ll continue to ‘look the part’ for you, as everyling else who comes to help hopefully will, but the ‘rough’ part is over, at least for now. You’ve got your eggs to nurture now, so consider yourself officially in the care of the Changeling Kingdom. Apart from anyling who comes to help with your ageplay, one of the three of us will always be here with you, whether you’re sleeping, getting fed, or getting changed.”
Sandbar felt a warm tint in his cheeks when he heard the words ‘your eggs’. He let himself roll over from his left side onto his back, keeping his front hooves over where the eggs were inside him, as Ocellus snuggled up next to him.
“So, a pretty good start to your little fantasy?” Ocellus asked, gently placing her front hooves next to her feedmate’s on his body so she could feel the eggs too.
“Is it ever. It’s like a dream I hope I don’t wake up from,” Sandbar told her, smiling at her.
“Don’t worry, you won’t,” Ocellus said as she nuzzled him.
“Sandbar, can you walk? Maybe Ocellus can show you some more of the hive. Dinner won’t be ready for another half hour or so,” Spiracle suggested.
“Yeah, you’ll definitely want to take advantage while you can,” Ocellus agreed, getting up.
Part of Sandbar didn’t want to take his hooves off of where the eggs were inside him, but he also thought of what Soothing Care told him about hoping he wouldn’t burn out on ageplay. So he carefully rolled over, and got up on his hooves, and followed his feedmate out of the burrow out to the main corridors, his diaper crinkling with every step.
“So where are your little brother and sister? Lumbar and Axilla, right?” Sandbar asked, noting how he hadn’t seen the youngest members of her brood yet.
“They’re with all the other grubs. At the beginning of mating season, a group of mature changelings are selected to be the first to lay their egg clutches in the nursery pools, then they gather up the grubs, and go on what is essentially a two-month camping trip several miles away from the central hive. They’re taught some survival skills, like cooking, finding shelter, and in some cases, hunting.”
“That sounds like a big job, keeping track of all those youngsters,” Sandbar offered.
“Not if you think like a changeling. Pheromones do a wonderful job at keeping them all grouped together.”
Ocellus took him around the outer corridors of the hive, showing him the Feelings Forum, the Crafting Cavern, and the Cooking Circle. One of their last stops was up top, to the throne room.
“Ah, Sandbar, you’re awake! Are you feeling okay?” Thorax asked when he saw them come up from the lower levels.
The colt nodded.
“I know I’m only a few hours in, but yes. So far, it’s everything I could have hoped for. I’ll try not to be a broken record for the next few weeks, but really, truly, thank you for giving me this opportunity, Thorax,” Sandbar told him.
“I was just showing him around while dinner was being cooked,” Ocellus told the hive leader.
“Well, I don’t think you need to worry about Sandbar being seen as a foreign presence anymore. With those eggs, he’s one of us now. In fact, I think the only place he wouldn’t be able to get to is the nursery pools, and that’s mostly because of Pharynx. He’s understandably overprotective of them, even from an incubator,” Thorax explained.
“No worries, I certainly don’t want to step on any hooves,” Sandbar replied. He looked like he wanted to say more, but then his stomach began to rumble.
“Wow, that hunger pang came on fast,” the pony commented.
“Yeah, you’d best get used to that,” Thorax replied. “Hope your parents have dinner ready, Ocellus.”
Ocellus nodded, and took Sandbar back downstairs. They completed their lap of the outer corridors, and as they came back around towards their burrow, Sandbar spotted a dark cyan changeling standing vigilantly next to a wide corridor that went further down underground.
“That leads down to the nursery pools,” Ocellus told him.
“Ah, so that means I’ve already gotten familiar with you. It was Pharynx, right? Say, you were pretty good back there…” Sandbar told him, a knowing smirk on his face as he got a light tint in the changeling’s cheeks for his efforts.
“Hmph. Keep moving, grub, while you still can,” Pharynx replied.
Ocellus lead Sandbar further down the passageway, and the colt leaned in once he was confident they were out of earshot.
“I was just teasing him,” Sandbar whispered. “I didn’t think he’d threaten me.”
Ocellus giggled lightly.
“Oh, that wasn’t a threat, it was more a statement of fact,” Ocellus told him. “Once the eggs begin to grow, moving around like this is going to eventually take more effort than it’s worth.”
“O-Oh…” Sandbar said.
“But don’t worry, that’s what you have us for,” Ocellus reassured him. “That’s half the reason Thorax wanted you to bring so much of your ageplay stuff; it’ll make keeping you safe and comfortable that much easier.”
“And the other half is because some changelings here can’t wait to taste how much I love it?” The pony asked.
“You got it.”
By the time the feedmates returned to their burrow, Carapace and Spiracle had made a steaming pot of cabbage soup, and in Sandbar’s case, the ageplay was about to begin, as his dinner was a sizable bowl of mashed greens that the three changelings took turns feeding him bite by bite.
“So Thorax warned me that I was going to be eating a lot more. Any idea how much more?” Sandbar asked in between two spoonfuls.
“Well, probably not a lot more in the opening days. By next week, you’ll definitely notice the increase. Maybe try not to think of it as eating more, but eating more often ,” Spiracle explained. “After all, your stomach is only so big, and as the weeks pass, your eggs are going to take up more and more of that available space.”
Your eggs.
Gosh he loved hearing those words.
When dinner was finished, he immediately let out a big yawn, which surprised him after being out for almost half the day already.
“You can try and fight it, but I’d wager you’ll be passed out in under thirty minutes,” Carapace told him.
“That’ll be your bed, Sandbar, right there in the middle of the room,” Spiracle pointed to where he had woken up a bit ago. “So you can be easily spotted and tended to.”
“I just want to try and get my thoughts about today written down before I fall asleep,” Sandbar said, going over to where his saddlebag had been placed, next to the stacked packages of diapers.
“As for the rest of us, we’ll be sleeping in shifts. One of us will always be awake to tend to you,” Ocellus told him.
Sandbar was given a small portable lantern just before the large one on the tree was extinguished. He opened up his blank journal, and grabbed his quill, and unscrewed the lid on his inkwell.
Day 1
How to begin? First off, I’m hoping that this first entry is completely unnecessary, and that I remember this day with clarity for the rest of my life.
So long story short, Thorax, Ocellus and her brood decided to indulge this curiosity of mine that came out of nowhere, I arrived at the Changeling Hive during mating season, and within minutes I was rutted by four changelings, quite thoroughly I might add, and it was beyond amazing, even as I was blacking out from it.
I wish I could make the slightest bit of sense of my sudden interest in this oviposition stuff. It wasn’t anywhere close to being ‘in my face’ as ageplay was, with our headmare being babied up on stage for a Kinks and Fetishes class.
So I think for now, I’ll stay on a relatively safe limb and say it’s because of my feelings for Ocellus. I love her more than anything or anycreature else, and I guess if I want to know everything there is on loving a changeling, I want to get as close as I can to being a changeling. Right now, as I write this, my body is incubating a dozen changeling eggs, maybe more, and Ocellus’ family tells me that they could be the strongest of the upcoming generation because of their growing conditions.
I’m absolutely thrilled to have this experience, and right now I consider myself the luckiest colt in the world. But Thorax tells me that it’s not so much painful as it is intense, so I have a feeling that the hard part isn’t quite here yet.
Tomorrow is a new day.

Sandbar woke up again, and this time it was slow and gradual, as he gave a small stretch, hearing his diaper crinkle in return. One of his caretakers must have heard him begin to stir, because as his eyes opened, there was Spiracle, standing above him.
“Morning, little hatchling. Come on over here, so Ocellus can keep sleeping,” she greeted, letting him take her hoof and gently pulled him into a standing position, leading him over to the far side of the burrow, where his supplies had been stacked, and where an elevated pair of mossy rocks served as a table and bench.
When he sat down, Sandbar looked over to where he had been sleeping, seeing Ocellus positively snoring next to a stack of books.
“She just fell asleep about an hour ago; she’s been keeping an eye on you all night,” her mom told him.
Spiracle went over to the shelves to the left, and grabbed one of the polished wooden bottles, pouring out the familiar lime-green liquid into one of his adult-sized foal bottles that he had brought along, and used a mortar and pestle to prepare another wooden bowl of mashed greens. While she was doing that, Sandbar’s front hooves had once again found their way to his abdomen, where he very lightly rubbed back and forth on the spots where the eggs were, still gently pulsing along with his heart.
“Are the eggs bothering you at all?” Spiracle asked.
“Oh no, not at all, I’m just… Letting them know I’m here, and that I know they’re there, too. It’s so hard to describe. It’s such a fulfilling feeling… Knowing that I’m helping them grow,” Sandbar replied.
Spiracle smiled at their charge as she put the bottles nipple into his mouth.
“Well, then perhaps that’s one of our few worries that we can consider alleviated,” Spiracle said as he began to suckle more of the sour-apple-flavored beverage.
“Mm?” Sandbar inquired, not pausing in his drinking, as he was considerably thirsty and hungry.
“I’m sure Thorax told you that after he got your letter, we spent days talking about this desire of yours. One of the points that I brought up was that when the fantasy in your head meets reality, that fantastical image rarely comes through unscathed. My initial worry was that once the ‘fun part’ was over for you, and the eggs were in, that you’d feel very differently about incubating them for over a month. I’m rather happy to see that worry was unfounded, Sandbar.”
After several mouthfuls of the liquid, the nipple was pulled out of his mouth.
“I can certainly understand why you’d have that concern, but no, Thorax was very clear on what I was in for. I’m actually looking forward to the incubation taking much of the summer; because every time I feel them, it reminds me of the ‘fun part’ of getting them in there,” Sandbar told her, smiling bashfully.
“And it was fun, for all of us, believe me,” Spiracle said, picking up the bowl of mashed greens, picking up Sandbar’s silicone-coated spoon, and began feeding him. “And before you ask, our few other worries don’t revolve around you, but rather, us changelings. Like we said previously, oviposition hasn’t been done since the Metamorphosis, so we can’t be 100% sure if the process has changed at all. We don’t believe it has, since anything else to do with eggs other than oviposition hasn’t changed since. Next up was obviously dietary choices. Ocellus has been our best source on what ponies consider edible. Any… What did she call them, oh, food allergies?”
“None that I can recall, and when it comes to anything I may not like when it comes to my personal tastes, well, part of being a foal is eating what’s put in front of you. So as long as it’s beneficial for the eggs, I’ll try anything once… I just hope it’s not still moving,” Sandbar told her.
“Sounds like a plan, little hatchling. Our only other concern revolved around all the other changelings who have been undoubtedly curious about how your ‘ageplay’ tastes, so there will be quite a few coming in here to try and help. I imagine Ocellus is going to be quite the teacher for all of them. It’s just a question of how far they’ll go when they get a taste of how much you love this, and what you’re comfortable with, because I can taste it already, and I’m guessing we’ve barely scratched the surface,” Spiracle said.
Sandbar chuckled softly, his cheeks tinting read.
“Well, with what your family and Pharynx just did for me in the name of curiosity, I can’t imagine anyling else could go what I would consider ‘too far’… I mean, as long as it doesn’t hurt, and Ocellus is okay with whatever they want to try, I can certainly stomach a little awkwardness. Believe me, Spiracle, I came here with an extremely open mind.” the pony told his caretaker.
“I admire that, Sandbar. I really do. Because I think quite a few of us are still trying to wrap our minds around somecreature wanting to do this, when it was one of the things that we were feared most for during Chrysalis’ reign. It’s ironic, I know, a society like ours, built around love, having to consider kinks and fetishes, some of the strongest sources of love, being about us changelings,” Spiracle told him.
“Well, you’re doing an amazing job of it so far,” Sandbar replied with a smile.
That smile faded when there was a grumbling below his stomach, and while there was a corner of his mind that wanted to hold it because he was around someone new, the rest of his body told him one word: Push.
There was a muffled fart, followed by the slimy sounds of his diaper being filled.
“Oh my,” Spiracle said, her nose scrunching up as she set the bottle and bowl down. “I can certainly tell that you loved that.”
Sandbar’s cheeks turned beet red.
As Spiracle stepped over to his supplies to grab mineral oil, a pack of wipes, and a fresh diaper, she noticed his eyes dart over to the sleeping Ocellus.
“Now don’t worry. I watched Ocellus put you in one while you were out,” she reassured him as she gently pushed him back into a laying position on the moss-covered rock. “I promise, I’m a quick study.”
Sandbar resisted the urge to cover his eyes in embarrassment as Ocellus’ mother untaped his diaper and went about cleaning off his coat with the cold wipes. He distracted himself by once again running the tips of his front hooves across his stomach and colon, feeling the eggs softly pulse.
“So, now that you, Carapace, Ocellus, and Pharynx have laid eggs… In me… Is that, well, it for you guys? Are things a bit more… Normal for you now?” Sandbar asked as she went about her work.
“A bit. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll all stay a bit… Frisky, throughout the rest of the season, but it won’t be on the level it was when you first got here,” Spiracle explained. “But it will be a bit easier to focus, I think that’s why Pharynx was so quick to accept Ocellus’ invitation to add his clutch in you, because it’s now easier for him to do his job. I remember he complained a bit when Thorax asked him to wait for you to get here. To make a long story short, most of the ‘mating’ of mating season is over and done with in the first couple weeks. After that, almost everyling is focused on getting as much love as they can to deposit down in the nursery pools. So other than being curious on how your love of ageplay tastes, that’s likely what a great portion of the hive wants to do with it. Just from the last few minutes, I can see, or rather, taste , why.”
With his coat sufficiently clean, and a pile of wipes piled on the diaper, Spiracle pulled it out from under him, rolled it up and threw it away, before unfolding the new one, and getting it fastened around his tail. Then she drizzled oil across his nether region, gently rubbed it in, then brought the front up between his legs, smoothed it against his abdomen, and taped it together for a snug, comfortable fit.
“And there we go!” The changeling announced, grabbing Sandbar’s front hooves and pulling him up into a sitting position again, before picking up the bowl and spoon to resume breakfast.
“Wow, you are a quick study. Thanks, mom.”
Spiracle did a double take as Sandbar’s face roasted and tingled when he realized what he just said.
“Sorry… I can’t believe I said that,” the colt said softly.
Spiracle smiled as she leaned in to nuzzle his cheek.
“Well, I can. Besides, with this ageplay thing, that’s what I am to you this summer…” She told him, pausing to place his right hoof onto his stomach, so he could feel the eggs again.
“...And if you think about it, that’s what you are to these little lings.”

Ocellus slowly came to, feeling the leaves, grass, and moss underneath where she had fallen asleep in the center of the room. Her eyes slowly opened, and she gave her wings a quick flutter as she stretched her legs.
“Rise and shine, sleepyhead,” Sandbar greeted as he walked over from the burrow’s small stove. She gave him a smile as she sat up, and her lips met his as he leaned down for a kiss. She let her tongue slip into his mouth for just a moment, and it brushed the roof of his mouth before she pulled away with a bashful smile.
“Mm, that’s different,” the colt told her as he sat down across from her with a large bowl of soup and a large silicone-coated spoon. Her tongue had left a sour-sweet taste in his mouth that was… Oddly familiar.
“I was wondering when I’d get a chance to show that to you. Our nectar and saliva glands become a lot more… Flavorful, for mating season. You’ve been drinking it since you got here, mixed with a little honey, sugar, and water,” Ocellus told him, blushing.
“I was hoping this summer would be kinky in more than one or two ways,” Sandbar replied. “Although a little bit more straight from the source wouldn’t hurt.”
Ocellus giggled as he leaned in for another kiss, before looking down at the contents of the bowl; steaming fresh broccoli cheddar soup.
“Your dad and I made lunch, thought you wouldn’t want to sleep through it,” Sandbar told her.
“Thanks, smells delicious. And they actually let our little hatchling use the stove, tsk tsk,” Ocellus said, mocking a disapproval.
“Well, your dad told me there would be plenty of time to be a helpless foal, once the eggs get bigger and it becomes a lot more important for me not to move around as much,” Sandbar told her.
“That’s true,” Ocellus said, taking the first bite herself before taking the next spoonful and feeding her feedmate. “Have you been in that diaper all night and morning?”
Sandbar shook his head.
“Your mom changed me in the middle of breakfast. And honestly, not bad for just watching you once. She’s a—”
“Quick study.”
“Quick study.”
The two feedmates giggled as they finished the sentence together.
“Ah, she’s used that line before, I see,” Sandbar said as Ocellus continued alternating bites.
“Only dozens of times,” Carapace said as he came around the corner in from the main corridor. “Spiracle just went to make a deposit in the nursery pools, then went out in the gardens getting what we need to restock the pantry, so it’ll just be us three for about an hour or so.”
Carapace sat at the stone table, watching as Ocellus and Sandbar shared the large bowl of soup over the next five minutes. Just when Sandbar had taken the last bite, however, the expression on his face changed to one of worry, just before a long, rather juicy-sounding fart sounded from his diaper.
Ocellus couldn’t help but let out a belly-clutching laugh, until she saw the look on her feedmate’s face.
“You okay?” She asked.
“That felt… Weird…” Sandbar answered, his voice clearly concerned. Ever since he had been invited here, he had always considered the possibility that a change in diet was going to throw his digestive system out of whack… Not to mention whatever the presence of the eggs was going to do as well.
But still, that felt… Slick. It wasn’t the first time he had had diarrhea while in diapers, but he felt physically fine, and he had just had a ‘normal’ messy diaper during breakfast a few hours ago.
“Might as well take a look!” Ocellus said, setting the empty bowl and spoon over on what passed as the dish rack to be washed, before going over to Sandbar’s supplies and grabbing wipes, oil, and a fresh diaper.
Sandbar stayed where he was until Ocellus returned, and let himself be gently pushed onto his back. Well versed in this routine by now, Ocellus untaped the pony’s diaper, and opened it up.
“Yep, that’s what I thought it might be, it’s been over a day,” he heard Carapace comment, who had leaned over to take a look.
“What? What’s going on?” Sandbar asked, leaning up just far enough to get a look.
In the seat of his diaper, was glowing neon green goop.
“Gah! What happened?!” Sandbar asked in a panic.
“Shh, calm down, Sandbar,” Carapace told him, having the foresight to come over and put a hoof on the pony’s shoulder, and coax him into laying back down while Ocellus got his diaper area wiped down. “It’s nothing to be alarmed about. The eggs just had their first shedding. When they get enough nutrients, they shed their outer membranes in order to grow bigger.”
Sandbar let out a deep breath in exasperation, and the tension left his body immediately.
“Whew. I thought something had happened to them…” He admitted.
“Nope, all part of the process, don’t worry. That’ll happen again and again over the next several weeks. This means they’ve taken to your body quite well, in fact.”
“Apparently Thorax only told you about them growing, and not about how they’d grow,” Ocellus commented as she finished wiping him down and got the clean diaper slid underneath him and fastened around his tail.
Sandbar brought his front hooves to his abdomen again, feeling the eggs pulsate.
“Sorry about that, you little guys gave me a little bit of a scare…”
Ocellus paused in her work as she heard approaching hoofsteps from the entrance passageway, and a light teal, bronze-eyed changeling came around the corner.
“Oh, hey there Ocellus, Carapace… Just wanted to see what tasted so good in here, I felt it from out in the corridors,” the guest greeted.
“Hi there, Cornicle,” Ocellus replied. “Yup, here’s our little incubator for the summer. If you want more of a meal instead of just a taste, feel free to come on in. I should probably work on getting a sign put up outside our burrow for anyling who wants to try their hooves at being a caretaker for our little guy here.”
“Ah, I’m guessing that’s why you and Carapace look like that,” Cornicle said, before closing his eyes quickly, and in a flash of green light, changed into his pre-Metamorphosed appearance.
“You could say that. My feedmate here has a little bit of a kink for being captured and… Taken advantage of…” Ocellus explained, getting a blush out of Sandbar for her efforts.
Cornicle took one look at the contents of Sandbar’s used diaper as he sat down next to the colt as he was being changed by Ocellus.
“The eggs have already begun shedding?” he asked.
“This was the first time. It freaked him out for a second, he was afraid something had happened to the eggs,” Carapace explained.
“Ah. No worries, little pony. They’re quite hardy little parasites… And if they’ve begun to grow, this will help too…”
With that, Cornicle leaned down over Sandbar’s abdomen, and with his tongue nearly dripping with saliva, began to gently lick across his belly.
Sandbar fought against his ticklishness, and couldn’t help but squirm lightly as Ocellus got the mineral oil drizzled over his diaper area before getting the clean diaper taped up, and the dirty one rolled up and thrown away, while Cornicle continued to lick his way across Sandbar’s lower half.
“I’m, heheheh, guessing this does something?” Sandbar asked, trying not to giggle constantly.
“Yep,” Ocellus replied as she came and sat down on his left side across from Cornicle. “Routine coatings of changeling saliva will help keep your skin and coat conditioned when the eggs get big enough for your stomach to expand. Then, after you’ve laid them, it’ll also prevent the appearance of stretch marks when everything shrinks back down. You know… For, um, less evidence back then. Here Cornicle, you take the right side, I’ll take the left.”
Sandbar laid there in his clean diaper while his belly and sides were more or less bathed by Ocellus and Cornicle, giving him a warm tingly feeling as he closed his eyes and let himself bask in this new sensation.
With the kinks that he had brought to this little summer getaway, he was now beginning to wonder if he was going to return home with one or two more...

Day 3
Well, one more day of ageplay, and that will officially be a record for how long I’ve been in a diaper continuously, and I’ve barely scratched the surface of my time here. Besides, the ageplay isn’t my real reason I’m here; I was just asked to bring that stuff along, and for good reason; Ocellus and her parents have been able to make multiple trips down to the nursery pools to deposit the love I have of not only my foalish side, but of a new part of myself that gets a surreal sense of fulfillment from the eggs that are slowly growing inside me. They shed again today; still a weird feeling as the membranes make their way out, but Thorax tells me it’ll slowly happen less often as they get bigger.
The other changelings have started to get curious about my ageplay; mostly by just being near me on my daily walks around the hive with Ocellus. Cornicle was the first yesterday, and he also introduced me to ‘coating’ my abdomen, which Ocellus says will keep everything looking positively normal when all this is done.
Like I was anything close to ‘normal’ when I asked to come here for this, haha.

“Hey, Sandbar, got a minute?” The colt heard as he finished today’s journal entry and closed the book, looking up to see Ocellus coming in to her family’s burrow.
“Always, what can I do for you?” Sandbar answered, returning his journal, quill, and inkwell to his saddlebag.
“I’ve got a changeling a few burrows down that could use a favor, and I think you’re just the one for the job,” Ocellus told him.
“Sure thing,” Sandbar said, getting to his hooves, having not really detected the slight sultry tone in Ocellus’ voice.
“You don’t think he needs to be changed, first?” Her mom asked her.
Ocellus took a quick step behind her feedmate and gave his rather wet diaper a few pokes, getting squishes in return. Once again, her mom’s claim of being a ‘quick study’ were holding true, as she had very quickly adapted to treating Sandbar like a foal, and either tending to his needs as such, or getting her daughter or husband to do so.
“Not for this. In fact, it might help a little, hehe. Come on, Sandbar,” Ocellus replied, and the two made their way out of the burrow, and made a right turn down the main corridor.
“Okay, can I make a confession?” Ocellus asked, immediately getting a nod from the colt. “I’ve loved having you here for the past few days, and even after that first day, I just find it a little bit hard to… Be all over you … With my parents around. Isn’t that weird? Why? Why do I feel like that? I mean, I just watched them take you from both sides a few days ago!”
Sandbar couldn’t help but laugh at his feedmate’s confession.
“Maybe a bit, Ocellus, but rest assured, these past few days have been weird in the best possible way,” Sandbar told her.
Just as Ocellus said, they were headed to a burrow that was just five down from their own. They turned to the left down a slimmer passage, to one of the burrows on the outer circumference of the hive, and Sandbar noticed a very familiar green mist hovering just above the floor. They turned the corner into the burrow, and saw a far simpler layout than the one for Ocellus’ family of five, and in the middle of the mist, was a light green changeling, with dark blue eyes, a light purple elytra, and a slightly lighter purple tail, all currently dazzling and sparkling.
As she turned to greet her visitors, it was obvious that the mist was coming from their nostrils and mouth. It was a technique known as ‘venting’, for changelings who were collecting love to avoid building up too fast inside and result in a magical explosion.
“Ah, hello there Ocellus. And it was… Sandbar, right? So I take it he… Agreed?” The changeling asked.
“Actually, I haven’t asked him yet, but based on our history, I’ve got no reason to believe our little hatchling here will say no. Sandbar, this is Frenulum,” Ocellus introduced, and Sandbar gave a small wave.
“Fren for short, if you like,” Frenulum added.
“She’s nearly ready to deposit her eggs in the nursery pools, but she knows how much stronger they are if they’ve had a little… Fertilizer , from a non-changeling first,” Ocellus said.
Both Sandbar and Frenulum blushed as Ocellus revealed what she wanted Sandbar to do.
“Uh, hehe, I mean, it has been a few days since…” Sandbar trailed off.
“Since you made a considerable mess under yourself as you were passing out from all those eggs being put in you?” Ocellus teased, as Sandbar’s blush deepened. “I know we told you that incubated eggs are the strongest and healthiest of all. Well, non-changeling-fertilized eggs are the next step down from that. So what do you say?”
Sandbar smiled warmly.
“I mean, do you think I’ve forgotten the fun you and I had with Terramar? Sure thing. What about you? You want to watch, or you want her other end?” Sandbar asked, and those words made Fren’s smile widen and her eyes glimmer as she saw the a bump begin to form on the underside of the pony’s diaper.
“Why not? That’s what this season is all about, after all,” Ocellus said. She reached under her feedmate’s belly and pulled his wet diaper back just enough to free his growing erection.
Fren didn’t quite understand the enjoyment the Equestrian got out of the urine-soaked garment, but could not deny how much thicker the ambient love had gotten in her burrow since he walked in.
“Oh thank you so much! And thank goodness your eggs haven’t gotten big enough yet to prevent you from doing this,” Fren said, as she turned her back to them, and presented, raising her glittery purple tail as her wings fluttered nervously.
His erection now sufficiently freed, Sandbar approached, diaper crinkling and squishing with every step, and saw how Fren’s nethers were virtually identical to his feedmate’s, if perhaps glowing just a little .
“Remember our first time, Sandbar? Don’t be gentle. In fact, try and make her moan into me, ” Ocellus told him as she walked around to Fren’s front side, and sat down on the mossy floor, spreading her legs as she scooted towards the changeling’s snout.
Wasting no time, Sandbar reared up, putting his front hooves onto the changeling’s rump on both sides of her tail, and made sure he was lined up, teasing her with the tip for just a moment before sliding in.
Ocellus wasn’t sure who gasped first, Sandbar or Fren.
“Ohhh yesss, thank you thank you…” Fren moaned as she reached forward, put her hooves on Ocellus’ hips, and pulled her forward the final few inches to put her tongue into Ocellus’ nethers.
“Whoa…” Sandbar said, hilting in the needy changeling but not thrusting just yet. “This… This is how it feels during mating season? Ocellus, I’m not saying the ovipositors weren’t mind-numbingly amazing, but we may have to go a few rounds ourselves before my belly gets too big.”
“I may not be exactly the same, since I already put my eggs in you, but you won’t get any argument from me. Now have at it, little hatchling!” Ocellus encouraged him.
Sandbar began to pull out, and was surprised at how much force it took. The muscles of Fren’s entrance seemed to want nothing more than to keep his stallionhood as buried in her as it could. Thankfully, that meant it was much harder to accidentally pull all the way out, and when he was two thirds out, he went right back in, and he wasn’t sure if it was more him pushing or Fren pulling , but wow this was certainly something else.
He had been practicing his oral skills with his feedmate as well, but was fairly certain that he was no match for a changeling’s tongue, as Fren’s snout was buried between Ocellus’ legs, her venting now front and center, raising the intensity for all three of them.
Sandbar consciously didn’t want to be too rough, as the eggs inside him were always in the back of his mind. So he avoided putting all his weight into his thrusts, and his swollen diaper was also thankfully sparing his abdomen from most of the force from his thrusting.
The fog that had covered the floor when they came in had now increased considerably, and he now could barely see Fren’s head between Ocellus’ hind legs.
The colt tried to keep a steady rhythm, not really worrying about being too quick with the buildup for his two partners. His main concern was honestly stamina; this was easily the most energy he had exerted in days, and knew that because of the eggs inside him, recovering that stamina might take longer than normal. He had more than enough experience with Ocellus to know that he didn’t have to warn her when he was getting close; because all three of them were breathing in the mist of Fren’s magical venting, the buildup to release was going to be evenly paced between them all, and the climax would be almost perfectly synchronized.
This proven fact was most certainly in his top three most amazing things about being intimate with a changeling; the other two of course being the transformation possibilities, and of course being able to look into his feedmate’s eyes, and knowing when she absolutely loved something particular.
The buildup was slow at first, but after about three minutes, the final approach to the peak was vastly accelerated, so much so that Sandbar’s front half almost collapsed as he dropped his front hooves from Fren’s flanks, and pressed his chest into her back as he wrapped his forelegs around her barrel.
“Ah! Here it comes, Fren!” He warned, getting little more than a muffled squeal from in between Ocellus’ legs.
With his most powerful thrust, Sandbar hilted in her and let himself be held there as he erupted into the moaning changeling. He figured Fren’s eggs couldn’t be far at all from his tip, but his mind barely registered that he wasn’t feeling any sort of… Splatter, so to speak. Figuring it was another key difference in mating season, Sandbar merely took in shallow breaths as rope after rope of his seed disappeared into Fren’s depths, also hearing Ocellus whimper in climax, holding Fren’s head under the green mist, letting their third drink her in.
As always, when the magic venting mist of a changeling was involved, the climax for all three of them was heightened and lengthened. Finally, moments later, it began to taper off, and Sandbar felt Fren’s muscles around his shaft loosen slightly. He put his hooves back up on her back and began to pull free, and indeed saw that not so much as a drop of his seed followed.
As he fell back into a sitting position in the green fog that was now beginning to wane, Fren pulled herself up from in between Ocellus’ legs, at the same time as she sat up, after falling back into a prone position during the climax.
“Th-thank you so much, Ocellus,” Fren said after catching her breath, stepping forward, and pressed her lips to hers, before stepping back. “For sharing him.”
Then, she turned to the sitting Sandbar, and smiled at him as his erection slowly shrunk back down.
“And you too, little hatchling,” Fren said, reaching over and pulling his wet diaper back up over his shrinking stallionhood, before leaning in and giving him a kiss too. “For letting yourself be shared.”
Sandbar smiled back as the magical fog helped him recuperate faster than it normally took him.
“Thanks for the invitation. Happy to help,” he answered, hugging her briefly as Ocellus stood up and came back over to join them.
Fren pulled back and went towards the passage to the main corridors.
“I’ve got to get down to the pools and get these eggs laid. Thanks again, you two, and you’ll certainly see me around; I’m more curious than ever now that I’ve gotten a taste of his ageplay!”
Ocellus put her left leg around Sandbar as she nuzzled him.
“I love how you called that a ‘favor’,” Sandbar told her, nuzzling her in return.
“Well, I always want to be careful when we bring a third in for some fun, even if it is beyond amazing every time,” she told him.
“Fair enough,” Sandbar said, pulling her in for a hug and kiss.
“Alright, now that that’s done,” Ocellus told him, reaching back and groping the seat of his soaked diaper playfully. “I think mom was right; you do need to be changed.”
Another Unexpected Visitor
Thorax came through passageway and stepped onto the uppermost level of the changeling hive, blown wide open since Chrysalis’ defeat. Still serving as the hive’s throne room, it was now also a sizable social space, doubling as the hive’s banquet hall.
The hive leader was relieved that mating season had, so far, gone smoothly. In the first week, the egg chamber was almost full, and nearly the entire hive, himself included, were looking forward to how much love they could strengthen the nursery pools with, what with Sandbar here for the season, as well as how strong his eggs would be when it came time to lay them, but that was still several weeks away.
No sooner did he get relaxed in his wooden throne to relax in his afternoon court, did the top level aerial guards begin to chitter, their wings fluttering nervously; the first actions they took when an airborne threat was spotted, and immediately Thorax’s gaze went to the sky.
It didn’t take more than a few seconds to spot the flying chariot approaching the hive from the northeast, and a group of guards went airborne.
“No, no, stop!” Thorax called before they got out of earshot. “That’s an Equestrian Royal Carriage, I’m sure they’re here for a good reason.”
Indeed, the carriage wasn’t making a direct approach, but instead began to descend towards the far side of the clearing north of the hive. Instead of risking meeting their unexpected visitor late, Thorax took to the sky himself, and slowly descended down the east end of the hive, touching back down on the ground in front of the main entrance, and waited next to the pair of guards keeping watch.
A couple minutes later, he saw the unmistakable form of Princess Twilight Sparkle, escorted by a pair of pegasus guards. He began to deduce the possible reasons for her visit from the slightly concerned look on her face as she came to a stop a few meters from him.
“Princess Twilight, what an unexpected pleasure. What can I do for you?” Thorax greeted.
“Thorax, I’m terribly sorry for dropping by unannounced like this, but is Sandbar here by any chance?” The Princess of Friendship greeted and asked.
Thorax nodded, taking this unexpected visit very seriously.
“He is, with the knowledge and permission of his parents,” Thorax answered. “Have you spoken with them?”
“N… No, I haven’t. I came here in a bit of a hurry, because of my team of dreamwalkers. They were quite concerned with how often Sandbar was appearing in the dream realm. Can you please take me to him?” Twilight asked.
Thorax knew this situation was complicated, but felt it would likely be unwise to refuse the Princess of Friendship. This was his kingdom, but as delicate of a situation as it was in right now, the visiting colt was still her subject.
“Of course, Princess. I can’t promise he’ll be in a condition to speak candidly, but as I’m sure you are aware, it is currently mating season for us, so I would ask for absolutely no magic, and please keep an open mind. As I said, he is here with his parents’ knowledge and permission. Please follow me, and step lightly,” Thorax told her, turning and beckoning her into the depths of the Changeling Hive.
Twilight quickly turned to her escort.
“Please wait here, gentlecolts,” she instructed, before following the changeling leader into the hive.
The princess’ nostrils were overcome with a lemony scent in the air when she followed Thorax into the main structure. The main corridor split off into many smaller passages as it slowly spiraled up around the center, towards the top.
She had made a couple state visits to the Changeling Kingdom before, but never during the mating season, when all other allied kingdoms were advised to stay away for their safety, and she could immediately tell why when she was outside; Thorax’s two guards seemed a bit on edge, and the few Changelings they had passed on the walk through the corridor fluttered their wings anxiously as well.
A minute later, Thorax paused next to a passage to the right.
On the wall, a sign had been hung, with a hoof-written message:
Want to help our incubator make love?
Come on in!
Please change into our pre-Metamorphosis appearance!
“He’s in there?” Twilight asked after reading the sign.
“Again, with his parents’ knowledge and permission,” Thorax told the Equestrian head-of-state, for the third time. “I’ll be right out here to answer any questions you have.”
Taking a breath, Twilight stepped into the passage, which went a few meters, then took a ninety-degree turn to the left, and nothing would have prepared her for the sight that met her eyes.
Sandbar, laying on his side on a patch of moss and grass in the middle of the room, saw her first.
“Uh, hi there, Princess Twilight,” he greeted, his eyes going wide, and this brought the attention of the four other pre-metamorphosed changelings to her as she stepped into the room.
Knowing that a visitor of this stature overrode any of Sandbar’s role playing, the four changelings immediately transformed in a flash back to their slightly more friendly looking default forms. Twilight recognized three of them as Ocellus, her mother Spiracle, father Carapace, and a light green member of the hive that she was unfamiliar with.
It wasn’t Sandbar’s attire of a disposable diaper taped around his waist that surprised her the most, but his lightly glowing, slightly protruding abdomen.
“Sandbar, are you alright?” Twilight asked him, slowly and clearly.
The colt immediately nodded.
“Yes, Princess. Wait… Did my mom and dad not tell you I was here? What are you doing here, Your Highness?” Sandbar asked.
“I haven’t spoken with them… And now I’m realizing that is probably my fault for not checking first. I’m sorry. What… Whatever this is, I’ll leave you be, as long as you’re absolutely sure you’re okay,” Twilight told him.
Sandbar nodded again.
“Absolutely, Your Highness. I can only imagine how this must look if you don’t have all the information, but I am definitely in good hooves, I promise you,” he told her.
The Princess of Friendship certainly looked like she didn’t want to be in this room any longer than she absolutely had to, so she already turned halfway back towards the way she came.
“Alright… As… As long as you’re sure. I’m sure Thorax can tell me more. Sorry again for the intrusion.”
With that, Twilight completed her turn, and went back down the passage to where Thorax was waiting patiently.
She took a quiet breath as they began walking a short distance away from the burrow, out of earshot.
“I guess I came here assuming that he and Ocellus ran off to do something stupid and life-altering, as young couples frequently do,” Twilight admitted. “But… That? I don’t think I ever could have prepared myself for something like that…”
“Princess Twilight, when I undertook the monumental task of reforming Changeling society, I can assure you, never once did the possibility cross my mind that if my subjects became romantically involved with other species, that some of them might have a fetish for what was one of our most nefarious deeds before the Metamorphosis.”
“Alright, so how did that scene in there come to be, then?” Twilight asked as she pointed a hoof back towards the passage to the burrow that Sandbar and Ocellus’ brood currently occupied.
Thorax took a breath.
“I received a letter from Sandbar a few days before Ocellus returned from Ponyville for mating season,” he began, as he reached into his saddlebags to retrieve the folded piece of parchment and gave it to Twilight, who immediately unfolded it and began to peruse the contents. “Once Ocellus arrived home, we began discussing Sandbar’s curiosity, and I do mean discussing it extensively . Like you, I have also been very impressed with Ocellus’ trustworthiness and respectfulness while she’s been studying abroad, and I certainly didn’t want that behavior to change. So after discussing all the reasonable options, we collectively decided that the best way to sate the colt’s curiosity was, with the expressed permission of his parents, to give him exactly what he was asking for.”
Twilight lowered the letter from her eyes to gawk at Thorax, unsure if she was believing her ears.
“This is a reasonable option to you?” The alicorn asked, her tone quiet, but undoubtedly incredulous.
“Oviposition is a very intense experience, true enough, but with constant observation here in the hive, it’s also a relatively safe one. But, Princess, I will confess, there is also a secondary motivation that we have, and I will gladly share it,” Thorax told her.
“I’m all ears,” Twilight said as she refolded the letter and returned it to him.
“Obviously, changeling society has undergone a great many changes since the Metamorphosis. But one thing that sadly remains largely unchanged is the survival rate of our egg clutches. During Chrysalis’ reign, it was roughly 50 to 55 percent. In the two mating seasons since, that has risen to about 65 percent. But oviposition and incubation tell an entirely different story, Princess. The eggs that Sandbar will lay in a few weeks will have a survival rate above 95 percent, and will likely be the strongest and healthiest of their generation. One of my first acts as ruler of the hive was to absolutely forbid oviposition on unwilling participants, even when I knew that it would mean our infant mortality rate would remain high. I figured that would be the end of it, but again, I never imagined that we’d ever get a willing participant. And from what Ocellus has told me of kinks and fetishes, I figured if he were to bring those supplies with him and indulge in that while he’s here, that love might possibly further strengthen the nursery pools. So far, I believe I’m correct in that endeavor.”
Hearing these sincere words from Thorax softened Twilight’s expression considerably, and the alicorn took a deep breath.
“I… Can’t say I wouldn’t have rushed down here even if I had the foresight to talk to his parents first, but… I’m not afraid to admit that may have overreacted a bit,” Twilight confessed.
“Not at all, Princess. If I thought one of my subjects was in trouble in Equestria, I can assure you that I would have made a very similar entrance,” Thorax told her.
“I mean… I can’t honestly say that I’m comfortable with this… But Sandbar obviously is, it is with his parents’ blessing, and you, Ocellus and her family clearly know what you’re doing. So once again, I apologize for my intrusion, and I’ll be on my way,” Twilight told him.
Thorax nodded and lead her back towards the front entrance of the hive.
“I do hope he’ll consider a checkup at a doctor when he’s back home, just to be absolutely certain that there’s no lingering side effects,” Twilight said as they approached the front entrance.
“A very responsible idea, one that I’m sure his parents will agree with if you bring it up with them. Safe travels, Princess.”
With her escort in sight, Thorax turned to head back into the depths of the hive, while Twilight continued out to where the pair of Equestrian royal guards were waiting.
They must have seen the expression on her face.
“Are you alright, Your Highness?” The captain asked.
Twilight’s slightly perplexed gaze met his concerned one.
“I’m fine, Captain… I suppose I’m just starting to wonder how sheltered my upbringing was… If the youth of the next generation gets curious about… Things like that,” Twilight said softly, glancing back into the Changeling Hive. “Alright, enough is enough. Let’s go, gentlecolts. It’s a long flight back to Canterlot.”
Day 8
Well, to say that today was awkward would likely be the understatement of this whole trip.
I got the most unexpected of visitors today, none other than Princess Twilight herself. According to Thorax, the increased amount of naps I’ve been taking here alerted her dreamwalkers, the unicorns that have taken over Princess Luna’s duties. She must not have talked to my parents before coming down here, because I think she was just a few seconds away from freaking out at what she saw, because she definitely saw the eggs. Thankfully, she didn’t freak, she was only in here for less than a minute, and Thorax was able to explain everything to her.
But I still have no idea if I’m ever going to be able to look her in the eyes again for a long while, though. Sheesh.

“Well, it’s not every day that our role play time turns into a road trip, I’ll give you that,” Smolder said as she stepped off the train platform with her girlfriend, Silverstream, as the dragon and hippogriff headed into the forest.
“Well, not to sound jealous, but Sandbar does have the best role play spot in Ponyville that I can think of, and it didn’t seem right to ask his parents to just… Use his room while he’s not there. So yeah, why not try and surprise him?” Silverstream replied.
“Not to mention that Twilight offered us a little extra credit to get an update on how he’s doing, too,” Smolder added. Once the Princess of Friendship had learned of their intent to travel to the Changeling Hive during their mating season, she had immediately asked for an update on the guest they had already had for just about three weeks now.
It was barely a quarter mile to the other end of the treeline, and then Smolder turned to Silverstream.
“So, I guess we put it on now?” the dragon asked.
“That’s what Thorax told us in the letter that came with it,” the hippogriff replied, before reaching into her left saddlebag and came out with a plastic perfume bottle. She pointed the nozzle at her girlfriend’s chest, and sprayed twice, before turning it around towards herself, and likewise sprayed her chest twice. Even before the fragrance hit their scales and coat, their nostrils detected a lemony scent.
“So, this is their mating season pheromone stuff, huh?” Smolder asked as Silverstream returned the perfume bottle to her left saddlebag, before stepping outside the treeline into the blooming and blossoming plains that surrounded the hive.
“I guess it’s the ‘mating season’ way of showing that we belong here. Or that we’re not intruders or something. Ocellus said that changelings are much more instinctual this time of year, and patrols are on heightened alert,” Silverstream answered.
They crossed the plains without incident, and came up to the main entrance of the hive, where a pair of guards stood watch. They eyed the dragon and hippogriff curiously, clearly detecting the pheromones, but knowing the new guests weren’t changelings.
“We’re here at the invitation of King Thorax. We’re here to see Sandbar,” Silverstream announced.
The guards exchanged glances, before the one on the left gave a light shrug.
“I believe he’s up top in the throne room and banquet hall for lunch with a lot of the others,” the guard on the left told them.
Nodding appreciatively, the pair of guests made their way into the hive. What was a light lemony scent from the perfume bottle a few minutes ago was now thick in the air. The Changeling Hive was hundreds of short passageways bending off into side burrows, while the main passage slowly spiraled around and up towards the top. Changelings they encountered gave them friendly nods, but their expressions betrayed that they hadn’t been expecting more guests right in the middle of the season.
As they came to the top of the hive, the open-air throne room and banquet hall, and the pheromone scent managed to give way considerably to the smell of hot, fresh food. For the past couple years, Silverstream and Smolder had long grown accustomed to Equestrian dietary offerings, so when the hippogriff saw steaming fresh seafood on one of the banquet tables, she nearly began to salivate.
Among the dozens of changelings present for the midday meal, sat Sandbar near the front corner with Ocellus and her parents. They had made a chair for him with a tray attached to the front. He quickly spotted the two new arrivals as they were waving to get his attention, before heading over to him.
“Hey there, guys. No one told me you were coming,” Sandbar greeted as they came over to their table.
“Well, who doesn’t like a surprise every now and then?” Ocellus teased.
“So they’re gonna be safe here?” The stallion asked.
“No worries, Sandbar. Thorax sent them some pheromones in a bottle,” Spiracle told him.
When the hippogriff and dragon sat down at the table, they were then able to see Sandbar’s faintly glowing abdomen beneath his chair’s tray, as well as the diaper taped around his waist.
“I’ve never seen you ageplay out in public like this,” Smolder commented, and Sandbar blushed a bit in the cheeks.
“Well, since the entire hive now knows why he’s here, we figured why not give him a more authentic foal experience, such as dining out with everyone else,” Carapace replied, depositing another spoonful of fruity-tasting purple goop into the pony’s mouth.
“The love the swarm has collected from him has done amazing things to the nursery pools underground. More and more changelings are now looking forward to discovering how strong this next generation is going to be when hatching time comes,” Spiracle added.
“So… They don’t hurt at all, Sandbar?” Smolder asked, as she couldn’t help but keep her eyes away from the glowing spots in his abdomen.
“Not at all. I wish I could easily explain what it’s like, how fulfilling it is to know that my body is helping them grow. But… Is there anything you can tell me about laying eggs, Smolder? Like, any tips?” Sandbar asked, as their new guests started to serve themselves plates of food.
Ocellus couldn’t help but snicker.
“Ohh no,” Smolder immediately shut the stallion’s hopes down. “For two reasons; one, I’ve just entered into the age of maturity myself, so I actually haven’t laid any eggs yet. Secondly, I’m not going to do you a disservice by giving you what could possibly amount to misinformation; I’m sure dragon eggs and changeling eggs differ in more ways than one, the most obvious way is that dragons don’t practice oviposition. Dragon eggs are kept in something probably similar to the changeling nursery pools, but other than that, the environment is decidedly different.”
“I think little Sandbar here is starting to get just a bit nervous about laying the eggs in a few weeks,” Spiracle said. “We’re just a little past the halfway point of the incubation period.”
“Maybe just a little,” Sandbar replied sheepishly.
“Don’t worry, we’re gonna be here with you for every step of the way. I hope Thorax pointed out that it’s not overly painful, the eggs secrete a numbing agent when it’s time to lay them,” Carapace told him.
Silverstream had herself two helpings of fresh fish, and just as Smolder was starting to eye the dessert platters, Silverstream stopped her from reach over.
“Now now, let’s not be so hasty. I think my little hatchling has to be properly dressed before she gets dessert,” she commented.
Smolder blushed profusely.
“Silv! Out here, in front of everyone, really?” Smolder asked in a hushed tone, clearly embarrassed as she watched her girlfriend pull out a diaper and changing supplies from her right saddlebag.
“And why not? You don’t see Sandbar all embarrassed,” Silverstream replied.
“You didn’t see him a half hour ago,” Spiracle commented.
“Come on now, Smolder. I don’t want us to take advantage of the changelings’ hospitality without giving something back, especially during a time as special as this. So let’s give them a few helpings of how much you love being cute and adorable. Now lay back,” Silverstream told her.
Smolder nearly shuddered at how Silverstream’s chastising tone immediately put her into her ‘little’ mindset, and obeyed her girlfriend as she turned ninety degrees and laid back on the stone bench the two of them had been occupying. As the hippogriff got the diaper unfolded and taped around her tail, Smolder couldn’t help but notice how a few changelings got up from their places at their tables and hurried back downstairs.
“Don’t worry, we’re not grossing them out or anything,” Sandbar reassured her. “They’re taking their collected love down to the nursery pools.”
Even as Smolder was resisting covering her face with her hands, she brought herself to speak her mind as her girlfriend brought the diaper up between her legs, and taped it snugly at the waist.
“Man if this is how helpful kinks are to changelings, I can’t imagine you ever want to leave,” she told the stallion sitting across from her as she sat up, and was finally presented with a plate of desserts.
Sandbar smiled at her.
“Yeah, pretty much.”
