Twilight's Last Day of Freedom
It was just another day over at the ranch for Megan Williams until she noticed Twilight Sparkle coming out and approaching her ready to tell her what was going on.
"I would like to come back to Equestria with me to help plan out my final day before I become the new ruling princess of Equestria." said Twilight.
"What do you have in mind?" asked Megan.
Twilight mentioned, "I was thinking about doing something with you and the rest of my friends, but I'm not quite sure what it should be."
Megan suggested, "You can have a slumber party."
Twilight then asked, "What exactly is a slumber party?"
Megan answered, "It's basically a sleepover where you invite a certain group of friends to spend the night and do certain things to pass the time."
"Now that I know what it is, I will know how to host one." replied Twilight.
"Before we go, let me get some stuff and tell my family that I'm going to spend the night with you." said Megan.
"Don't forget to tell Danny and Molly to come the next day for the coronation, because I want them to be there for it as well." mentioned Twilight.
"Don't worry, I will." replied Megan.
The two headed over to the portal to enter Equestria as they met the rest of the Mane 6 and mentioned to them what was going to happen.
Rainbow Dash stated, "I hope you know exactly what a slumber party is Twilight, because we have had some before, but not with you there."
Applejack added, "Are you sure you want to do this Twilight?"
"It was actually Megan's idea, not mine." replied Twilight
Rarity looked at Megan and asked, "Why is that you have a suitcase with you?"
Megan answered, "It's because Twilight insisted that I stay the night with all of you as well as prepare for the coronation the next day."
"I see." replied Rarity.
The rest of the Mane 6 the got what they needed for the slumber party and then met both Megan and Twilight over at the Castle of Friendship later that day. As they came in, they noticed Megan now wearing her nightgown. Before starting the slumber party, they all sat down to eat both dinner and dessert.
"That is a very nice nightgown you there, Darling." said Rarity as she complimented Megan for wearing it.
"Thank you, Rarity for saying that." replied Megan.
Twilight then asked, "What should we do first?"
Megan then answered, "We can play a game of truth or dare."
Rainbow Dash then asked, "Can you tell us how to play that?"
Megan explained, "You pick someone at random and tell them truth or dare. If they pick truth, then whatever you tell them, they must tell the truth about it. However, should they pick dare, then they must do whatever they are told by whoever told them. After that, the one who got picked can then pick someone else as long as they weren't already picked."
"Seems fair enough." said Twilight.
As they played the game Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy all chose truth, while Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie went for dare even though some of what they said and did feel embarrassing despite being part of the game. After that, they turned to Megan and what to do next. She then told them about telling some scary stories."
Fluttershy stated, "I hope your story won't be too scary."
Megan responded, "It can't be a scary story if it's not scary, which is the whole point of it."
Applejack mentioned, "Unfortunately, Fluttershy is afraid of a lot of things."
Megan then claimed, "I can promise that it won't be too scary. However, from my experience in Ponyland and from what I have heard from in Equestria, it might be hard for me to think of what creature to mention since we have already encountered so many here with such descriptions. It's sort of like asking for a creature that none of you have heard of before."
Twilight replied, "Unfortunately for us, a lot the creatures you would think of do exist here."
After hearing that, Megan than said, "I can see why."
For a while it felt as if they had almost nothing left to do, but that ended after Megan started hitting one of the ponies with a pillow to help get something started.
"What was that for?" asked Pinkie Pie.
"I just felt that we needed something fun, so I thought of doing a pillow fight." answered Megan.
Fluttershy then asked, "Does it hurt?"
Megan replied, "Quite the opposite."
The ponies all started picking up pillows and hit each other with them in their own way. Rainbow Dash took some of them up with her as she started dropping them like bombs as she flew around. Pinkie Pie placed some in her cannon ready to launch. Applejack built up a stack of pillows and was ready to kick it down on anyone on whoever passed by it. Meanwhile, Rarity levitated some of the pillows as both a form of offense to throw at the others as well as stop some of them only to throw them back. However, not all of them were pleased with the pillow fight. Fluttershy got scared and hid during the whole event, while Twilight's horn glowed to such a height that it froze all the pillows in place.
"This pillow fight has gotten out of hand!" said Twilight.
"We were actually having fun until you stopped it." replied Pinkie Pie.
Megan stated, "Hitting someone with pillows isn't going to hurt anyone, plus it's practically harmless."
Twilight then mentioned, "If that was the case, then maybe you can explain the feathers coming out of them."
Rainbow Dash claimed, "We can easily place them back in and fix up the pillows."
Rarity noted, "Lucky for you I have my sewing kit, so I can easily close up the pillows and make them good as new."
The Mane 6 and Megan helped collect the feathers to place into the pillows so that Rarity could fix them up, and then decided to finally go to bed seeing that it was almost midnight and that they were tired out from all that they did.
While Twilight was asleep, she noticed Princess Luna was entering dreams and decided to ask her about her coronation and even if having the slumber party was a good idea to spend her last day of freedom.
Twilight asked Luna, "Do you really think that I'm fit to become the new ruler of Equestria?"
Luna then asked back, "Why do you say this, Twilight?"
"I just feel that maybe I'm not ready to take this title from you and Princess Celestia." answered Twilight.
"If my sister felt that you weren't fit for this, then she wouldn't have picked you for it." replied Luna.
Twilight continued, "Maybe I'm just feeling nervous about it."
Luna stated, "You're no different than what Celestia was when she was first coronated over a thousand years ago."
Twilight then mentioned, "Maybe it wasn't a good idea to spend my last day of freedom by having a slumber party, which was Megan's idea, not mine."
After hearing that Luna noted, "I think that it was a good idea to spend the last day with those you know the most. You should be very glad that the ponies you made friends with are there for you. More importantly, it must be good that you have Megan there to help as well."
"The only reason Megan is with us now is because of that special book that I found of her behind the portrait of Celestia over at the Canterlot Library." said Twilight.
"Twilight, even if you discovered that book by accident, it didn't change the fact that you brought her back here. If you didn't know, you do have something in common with her by both becoming heroes by accident even if in different ways. Nonetheless, you did help her feel relevant to present day Equestria by helping her fit in when she felt that she overstayed her welcome as well as make her feel as if she is no longer forgotten especially by giving Megan her dues. More importantly, both me and my sister are very happy to see her again, because until recently, the last time we have ever seen her was when we were fillies and that was when she picked us up and gave us are names and even, she thanks you for that." mentioned Luna.
Twilight then noted, "I can see now how I have accomplished so much be it proving that I'm a true hero, being able to make friends, and even bringing back someone this world hasn't seen for ages."
After hearing all of that Luna said, "If there is nothing else, I will leave your dream and I will look forward to seeing you at the coronation later in the day."
The sun rose and everyone woke up to have breakfast. As they were eating, they were ready to discuss how to plan the coronation for Twilight. Also, Twilight admitted that despite what went on at the slumber party she had a good time and thanked Megan for giving that idea. The rest of the Mane 6 went back to their homes to help get ready for the coronation while Megan and Twilight waved good-bye to them.
