It was a cold and ominous night in Canterlot Heights as a white unicorn made her way up the incline to her destination. Rarity wasn’t a stranger to these types of late-night walks as some of her best clients happened to live in this area, both day and night clients. She never wanted to go into the escort work, but with the rising price of gems and luxury fabrics on a steady rise, she had no choice but to go into the line of work. She’d only been working for 6 months but had already become one of the highest paid escorts at the service easily clearing thousands of bits a week.
“Not too much longer. I should be used to this hill by now.” She said to herself, her legs burning with every hoof landing on the damp ground. Rarity looked up into the sky and saw the moon starting to slowly pass over her head and retreat into the approaching rain clouds in the distance.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she managed to make it to the last house on the hill. It was a nice shade of blue with an off-white roof and a pale-yellow door. Everything about this house seemed familiar to Rarity from the picket fence to the funny-looking doorbell.
‘I’ve been here before,’ she thought to herself as she approached the door with a hoof out ready to knock. Before she touched the door though, she remembered her masquerade mask that hid her identity. Being a fashion designer by day and high-class escort by night meant that sometimes the clients would be the same ponies. Just last week she was hired by the organiser for the Manehattan Fashion Show. Mask on, she rapped on the door with a specific knock that let ponies know their night was about to get more interesting. The mare stood waiting, looking around the front porch at the different decorations and suddenly it hit her why she recognised the house.
‘Oh shit, this is Fleur De Lis’ house!’
However, there was no time for Rarity to freak out as the aforementioned mare opened the door wearing a silk robe. “Oh, you’re early. I wasn’t expecting you for another 15 minutes. Oh well, guess we can get the foreplay fleshed out.” She said calmly.
“I guess we can. Either way, I get paid.” Rarity replied, in her disguised voice so she didn’t tip off Fleur about who she truly was.
“Sounds good. Well, come on in. Don’t want you wet just yet.” Fleur replied seductively.
Rarity walked in the door and was welcomed by the scent of lavender and a freshly cooked meal. The doorway opened up to a magnificent living room complete with those fancy sofas seen in castles and stately manors and a massive crystal chandelier direct from the Crystal Empire.
“You have a lovely home miss. That chandelier is just to die for.” Rarity said, almost slipping her accent.
“Eh, it's nothing too special. Why don’t you follow me up the stairs and we can get started.” The mare replied with a hint of scepticism in her voice.
Rarity nodded and followed Fleur up her staircase. Along the walls, there were photos from various fashion shows and galleries she’d been to over the years. Almost every one of these was followed up by a picture of Fleur and Fancy Pants, her coltfriend of 2 years. At the top of the stairs, Fleur stepped off and went left towards her bedroom. Rarity followed in excitement. This was the first mare she’ll be serving since starting 6 months ago. Colts were fine, but a side of Rarity showed whenever a mare came through her doors looking for new clothing. The pair entered the room and Rarity looked around the room and was astounded at everything. The bed was placed in the middle of the room complete with a sheer veil over the top and rose petals on the perfectly formed covers. Fleur walked over to one of the bedside tables and lit some candles. However, as soon as they were lit, Fleur’s seductive ways were dropped instantly for a more sinister tone.
“Take the mask off Rarity, I know it’s you. You think Gemstone is enough of a name to hide your identity?”
Rarity was taken aback by this and proceeded to nervously take off the mask and lower it to the ground.
“Fleur De Lis! I didn’t know you were into mares. Is everything going well between you and Fancy? I saw the pictures you two seem;”
“Cut the friendliness bitch. I know what you did Rarity. I’m not happy at all about it. Matter of fact, I’m a bit pissed off at the fact that you would do something so dastardly. Then again, being a whore, I’d expect no less.” Fleur said, dauntingly.
Rarity danced her hooves around now feeling sick from guilt. She knew what Fleur was talking about. Last week, she and Fancy had met at her parlour in Ponyville, and it led to some heavy kissing and touching.
“How could you do that Rarity? Seriously how the hell could you stoop that low? ANSWER ME!” Fleur exclaimed, now getting angrier with every sentence.
“I swear Fleur we were just having a meeting about my possible expansion to Fillydelphia that’s it!” Rarity cried, almost breaking into tears, but kept strong.
She scoffed. “Oh so, a meeting includes sticking your tongue down his throat and reaching your hooves to his member, right? Of course, because that’s what happens isn’t it skank?” The mare was now raging. She saw everything that happened but chose not to interfere. For the past week, she’d been planning something dark. Something that would come to fruition tonight. She whistled out and walked up to Rarity, her horn glowing.
“Please Fleur! I’m begging you, don’t do this! I’ll give you money, my boutique, anything. I’ll leave for Appleoosa and live as a farmhand.” She shuddered at the thought, but anything would do if she could get this furious mare off her back. A light clopping rang out through the hallway outside the room which gradually got louder with every step. A cloaked figure walked into the room and stood at the door as some form of a roadblock.
“Please, please, PLEASE don’t! I’ll kill myself if that’s what it takes!” Rarity said, screaming the words this time, desperate for anything to work.
“Aww, but where’s the fun in that?” Fleur jerked her head to the side and the figure bucked its legs into Rarity’s head, knocking her unconscious.
Rarity awoke, drenched. Rain was pouring down now as she felt herself being dragged through the grass by the cloaked figure. Flashes of lightning broke the darkness which revealed where the trio were going.
“Here will do,” Fleur ordered.
Just like that, Rarity dropped onto the wet grass as a flash of lightning showed Fleur standing over her moving some logs to their location.
“You know I really liked you Rarity, for what it’s worth. You were a fun piece of competition for me. Always had to be better and prove yourself to everyone that you were something. Look how far that got you. Lying down in the dirt at the edge of a cliff.” Fleur motioned for the figure to go to Rarity.
The unicorn positioned Rarity’s leg over the log, with the figure standing holding the struggling mare down. Fleur stepped up to the outstretched leg, raised her hoof, and came down hard.
*SNAP*
Pain ricocheted throughout Rarity’s whole body. She was wailing at this point. A hoof landed across her face to silence her, but it did little to silence the pain-riddled unicorn.
“That’s for stealing my dress ideas for the last Fashion Week.”
This time an arm was extended over the log and was snapped with a frightening crunch, like someone stepping on a twig in the forest. This time Rarity contained her wails and was whimpering and moving in and out of consciousness.
“That’s for banging my coltfriend!” Fleur said, anger fully taking over her usually timid attitude. She motioned for the figure to open Rarity up so her underside was exposed. However, this time, the figure was up next to deal what would be the final blow.
“And this is for thinking you can fuck with what’s mine!” She nodded to the figure and in came two fully extended hooves into Rarity’s underside. More crunches were heard and blood appeared through the white hair as the pair moved away from the now writhing pony on the ground. No sounds were heard as the life force slowly drained from Rarity’s body with each passing moment. Then all that was heard was distant thunder and the pitter-patter of rain on the grass. The figure spoke up this time with a sense of guilt in their voice.
“Shit, was that necessary sugar cube? I mean you could have just told her what for and left it at that.”
“What’s the point in that? She’d just go running back to him and put her filthy hooves all over my Fancy. Did you get the bits delivered?” Fleur replied. She stood stone-faced processing what had just happened.
“Sure did, should be plenty to get us through the year. Apple farm hasn’t been performing as well as it should be.” Applejack remarked.
“Good. Get rid of it. Dump it somewhere near Ponyville. Make it look like an accident.” Fleur said, coldly.
“I don’t think having two broken limbs and ribs can be made to look like an accident.” Applejack said hesitantly, scared that this could happen to her if she said anything Fleur didn’t want to hear.
“I don’t care, just get her off my lawn and out of my sight, or I’ll throw you down that cliff.”
Applejack didn’t answer as she grabbed Rarity’s lifeless leg and dragged it to a waiting carriage.
“Whore.” Fleur said, spitting on the place where the white unicorn’s body used to lie and walked back to her house to change.
