Equestria was never the same after that night.
It started off all dark and quiet, like a normal night is. Everypony was happy, full of life, and we all had our reasons to enjoy life. Next thing, the happiness and energetic aura exploded into nothing, because we see this huge glowing ball falling from the sky. And you could tell it was falling fast, because there were Goddess-damned flames around it! We all thought it would hit Ponyville.
Everypony started screaming. Panicking. Stupidly injuring themselves in frantic fear. I can't put into words the amount of stupidity I saw in these folks. It was sickening. And for nothing. Somewhat.
Luckily, this thing didn't land in Ponyville. It landed in Froggy Bottom Bog (Ugh, what a stupid name), but took a chunk of Cloudsdale with it and hit the ground with an earthquake that probably shook half the damn planet.
After the earth-shattering impact, buildings and houses collapsed, things set fire. For the first time in years, ponies died from falling debris, collapsing building supports, and being trampled by others. To add to that, Cloudsdale being half gone meant lack of rain and water, and lack of rain and water meant one thing for the crops; they all started dying. Dying crops equaled lack of food. Lack of food meant bad things would happen.
Equestria was in a state of utter panic.
Riots began in attempts to collect what little good food remained; something unlike the ponies of Equestria would ever do. There were beat downs, robberies, and much worse. The Princesses had to quarantine the bog so that no one would try to see what landed, and send Guards to calm down the chaos around Equestria. Not that it would matter in a few weeks time.
Days went by before we got any word about anything. The chaos had calmed down by a huge margin, but Ponyville was changed dramatically. Everypony was hostile to each other, and there was some kind of sickness going around the killed anypony who caught it. Crime appeared like wildfire, with robberies occurring all over town, and the occasional public fight. More days passed, we got bits and pieces of information; stuff like futile attempts to revive Cloudsdale; figure out exactly what this thing that landed is; and then finally commanded to stay away from the Bog for what seemed like the billionth time.. After that, nothing...
I don't know what's going on anymore, but from the vibe I'm getting off of everypony, plus the Princesses looking grimmer and grimmer each day, I know one thing's for certain.
Nothing good is to come.
