Seeing his friend eye the plate of fruit with hungry eyes, yet not indulging in himself, prompted Gallus to take to his friend's side and lean his face close to his.

“Don’t worry about appearances, Shim,” Gallus spoke quietly as he placed his hand on Shimmer’s butt, while giving the stallion a quick kiss on the cheek. “We’re all friends here.”

The bat pony’s eyes widened and his cheek took on a bright red. Embarrassment filled his expression and both girl’s giggled in response to what they were seeing, until Silverstream started to cough.

“Wrong hole, sis?” Terramare noted in a teasing tone.

Silverstream coughed again and spoke in a raspy tone. “Wouldn’t be the first time.”

Skystar and Terramare laughed in return, and even Shimmer chuckled as well as Gallus quickly noticed the bat pony relaxing. He looked back to Shimmer’s wings and saw them relaxing at his sides and wanting to not have him tense up again, Gallus reached forward, grabbed a piece of melon, and offered it to Shimmer.

“See? We’re all friends here so you don’t need to worry about viewing them as royals,” Gallus told Shimmer as he placed the melon in the bat pony’s hooves, before grabbing himself a piece to eat. “Think of it as breaking the ice, for what’s later to come.”

Shimmer went silent for a moment and stared at Gallus, recalling the conversation they had the other night. It was a lengthy talk, and it mostly revolved around Shimmer opening up his sexuality to the idea of bedding all three hippogriffs at some point. He was reluctant on the idea at first, thanks to him only being interested in stallions, but what finally broke Shimmer’s hesitant behavior was the addition of Terramare. Having another male in the mix would greatly cause things to move at a steady rate, and secretly, Gallus looked forward to seeing his newest friend sandwiched between his old friends.

“I know,” Shimmer spoke with a deep sigh as he relaxed further and got ready to take a bite of his melon. “I am looking forward to it later on, myself.”

“That’s the spirit!” Gallus spoke with a big smile as he gave Shimmer’s butt another soft smack.

Shimmer blushed again, but also chuckled in the process, before he focused back on his melon and took a big bite out of it.

“Hey, Shimmer, I have a question for you,” Terramare spoke up, causing both him and Gallus to look on quietly. “Is it true that bat ponies can use echolocation?”

Shimmer smiled in response, so much that Gallus could briefly see his fangs for a moment, until he began to answer in earnest. As they continued to talk, Gallus wondered how this new ball of madness would turn out, and secretly looked forward to what the future of his friendships held for him.
