The ponies, taking an urgent journey to Canterlot, get lost in a storm and must find the mysterious power that is making everypony act strangely. A strange encounter with an old foe confirms Twilight's fear that the Elements must be used again. It's all very odd, but things start escalate in strangeness when the God of Chaos gets involved, telling them a story they must choose to trust or not.
