My Little Ball of Fire & Vengeance

After deciding on the colors and patterns for the different parts of the cart Discord snapped a couch for us to wait on.
Discord picked me up by my scruff and placed me on a couch cushion that felt like it was as hard as concrete. Honestly no concrete was no where near as hard as this cushion, "I get that you can get that you float and all, but you have to know about that right?"
Rather than response to my comment Discord began to fidget with a set of antenna on a box tv set.
I puffed my cheeks out to pout and huffed, "Fine then I'll take the other side then."
As I walked across the center cushion.
I suddenly found myself sinking into the depths.
Darkness surrounded me and all was silent.
I screamed but was unheard.
My voice reached not even my ear.
How long has it been.
Seconds.
Weeks.
Years.
I continue to fall.
Farther and farther.
I fall.
I fall.
I fall.
And then suddenly there was light.
I landed gently on the floor of what looked to be a highschool hallway.
But something stood out I me.
All of the students were the colors I would expect from the ponies of Equestria.
In fact now that I look at them more closely I can see that many of them resemble the ponies of Ponyville that I already know.
Many were students but some were staff too.
A few of the students and staff walking by started to notice me.
Despite seeing that at least a few had smart phones none of them seemed to be trying to take pictures of me.
Now that I think about it these multicolored humans are the ones from the other world.
As I was about to speak up when Discords' taloned claw emerged from the floor and began to pull me down by my tail.
As I was slowly pulled into the ground I raised my right foreleg and shouted, "I regret nothing!"
As the world went dark I heard the students begin screaming in horror.
I am probably going to be sitting through a lecture for this, but it was so worth it.
Suddenly I was blinded by the glowing light of the sun, and a smirking Discord, "So...
How was your trip to Canterlot High?
I had heard that the weather was lovely this time of year, what would you say?
I also took the liberty of switching out the previous cushion you were on since you complained so much about them.
Honestly first you complained about the hardest cushion in the universe and then you even complained about the softest cushion in the universe. It was so soft you could slip through dimensions."
Discord then placed me on my original spot which had a reasonable amount of softness.
Taking a seat of his own he pulled a remote control from the center cushion and clicked on the television.
When the screen came on I saw that it was showing Silver Spoon and her sister Silver Standard.
Silver Spoon looked bored as Silver Standard was making some finishing touches on the blueprint for the cart.
Discord made an exaggerated yawn, "I think that I'll set her to times ten speed. What do you think?"
I tapped my chin in thought for a moment and replied, "Better make that twenty."
Discord then clicked a button on the remote and Silver Standard began move at unprecedented speeds for her work.
Unfortunately that would only be a relatively normal pace for any pony else, and she was already behind.
Giving an exaggerated yawn and decided to switch to another participant, "Why don't we check on the crusaders and their big sisters."
The screen flickered with static before it switched to Applebloom and her sister Applejack...
It was not looking good...
Discord then switched to Sweetie Belle and Rarity.
Again it looked like the adult of the group was not paying attention to what the actual child participant.
And as unfortunate as it is I feel as though I am detecting an unpleasant pattern, "Why don't we check on Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash..."
Discord clicked a button on the remote that caused the screen to flicker with static before it changed to Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash.
Again the chosen adult has completely forgotten who this competition is even about.
It is honestly pretty sad.
Discord then spoke up, "Want me to do something about all that?"
Giving Discord a bit of a side eye I replied, "I think that I may have an idea..."
After hearing my idea Discord smiled and said evilly, "Ohh? Well I must say, 'that is a plan I can get behind'.
I'll simply need to make a few adjustments to the cart such removing a third of the safety features and replace the brakes with less effective ones. I will also give it a more powerful accelerator."
After some time Miss Cheerilee began to call the racers to the starting line.
Fortunately the three target carts lined themselves up for us making it really easy.
Discord snapped his talon and the sun went dark.
Then a spotlight shines on an open space and a drum roll began...
...suddenly in a burst of smoke the cart appeared.
Then light returned to the world and Cheerilee raised her brow.
Hesitantly she asked, "That...
...cart is motorless...
...right?"
Discord chuckles slightly and replied reassuring, "Oh don't you worry about that. I went over the rules with Fluttershy, and I can assure you that with the exception of any kind of motor or engine this cart demonstrates all the laws of physics."
As her widened in concern and Cheerilee asked, "Did you say all the laws of physics?"
Discord smiled and replied, "Exactly! I even wrote up an entire book on how it demonstrates them."
Then with a snap of his paw a book larger than a house appeared and opened to a page in the middle. While I could clearly see the text it was unbelievably small, and I could not even read it.
Miss Cheerilee sighed and dejectedly replied, "That is okay. I just want to be assured that it is safe."
Discord snapped again and the book was engulfed by flames.
Spike
The day so far had been normal.
Reshelving the library for the billionth time but whatever.
*THUNKS*
?
I put down the books and looked to the source of the sound.
On the other side of the library Twilight had fallen to the ground surrounded by books.
Running up to her I called out, "TWILIGHT!?"
But her only response was to lift her head and say, "There has been a disturbance in the order of the universe. Countless word words unread and the book they were the content of have suddenly gone quite. So quite, unbearably so forever and for more."

In order to demonstrate the safety of the cart Discord turned off the break.
This had the unfortunate effect of liquidizing all the surrounding structures including the carts of the crusaders and even the wagon of that silly and foolhardy Trixie.
Her gaping jaw made me smile.
Miss Cheerilee had only one word to reply in the most deadpan form, "No..."
Discord rolled his eyes back into his head, "Oh fine."
Discord snapped once again and the area was restored to normal, but to the surprise most the carts of the crusaders had changed.
The crusaders began to form giant grins and Miss Cheerilee questions, "Didn't they're carts look different before?"
Acting surprised Discord pulled out a few blueprints and said, "REALLY? According to these blueprints these are the carts that the crusaders intended to make?"
The older sisters of the crusaders suddenly became embarrassed and chuckled nervously.
Before anything more could be said Discord grabbed me by my scruff and placed me on a cart that drove sideways.
