Sombra's Attack on Twilight

As Twilight was getting acclimated to her role as the highest princess of Equestria, a bolt of black lightning shattered through the window and grabbed hold of her. She screamed for help, and some of the Christians heard her yell. Brandon took off on his flight harness and gave chase to catch her. Unfortunately, this mass of energy had a will of its own and shot a blast which damaged the wings. Luckily, Brandon caught a sample of the energy before pulling his parachute.

"LET ME GO!", Twilight shouted as the energy mass continued carrying her through the night sky.

She ended up getting a nasty shock from the mass and she passed out. As everything went dark, she heard an evil voice come from within the mass.

"This is payback for taking me out during the war.", the voice cackled.

Twilight couldn't believe her ears. This entity was none other than King Sombra. She tried to send a distress call, but it ended up garbled and hard to understand.

Back in Canterlot, Cadence had set up a temporary command center. Flurry Heart picked up Twilight's call for help, but had trouble making it out.

"Listen to this. Aunt Twilight is trying to tell us what has happened."

"Anyone who hears this, pl-as- c-me -o my a-d. K--g S-mbr- h-s re-urn-- s-me-ow. I d-n't k--w wh-t -e p-an- to do, b-t it ca-'t be g--d. L--k on my si--al a-d c-me f-r me be--re i-'s t-o la-e."

Brandon was so startled, he almost jumped out of his skin. Link went pale as a ghost.

"What's going on?", Cadence asked out of confusion.

Flurry listened to the message again and everything fell into place.

"Mom, I think I know what she was saying.", she said as she wrote down her interpretation of the distress call.

When Cadence read the interpretation, she screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Anyone who hears this, please come to my aid. King Sombra has returned somehow. I don't know what he plans to do, but it can't be good. Lock on my signal and come for me before it's too late."
