Me and Bright Mac got even closer after the marriage but it still hurts that my dad would leave me for a new life on a silly farm. I missed him so much. Bright Mac's pov: I wonder what will make Buttercup feel better. I miss her old cheerful self. I guess I will just have to wait for her to get over her father. Pear Butter's pov: I have been feeling sick in the morning all the time now. I wonder what's wrong with me. Does it have something to do with father? I hope not. I am going to see a doctor tomorrow, hopefully, they can figure out the problem.

Soon I am going to help with Apple Bloom. I hope Buttercup is doing well. It must be even more tiring for her. I think we need a vacation. I know just where to go. Let's visit Buttercup's family. I called Buttercup over and told her about my plan. Buttercup's pov: Going on vacation seems like a great idea. We can hire a babysitter to take care of the children. This is perfect, I can chat with my father and maybe get him to move back. We can take a break from life and enjoy being together once again.

I finished packing my bag and did a final check of everything. I waved goodbye to the children and left with Bright Mac. We sang and danced till we arrived at the bus station. Everything was perfect, and it was time to relax. Bright Mac's pov: Buttercup was quite excited when I told her about the plan. She planned out everything, and she was cheerful the whole day. She kept singing and skipping. She looks so cute when she is like that. We got to our hotel and checked in. It was beautiful. The chandelier hung from the ceiling and shimmered in the light. The light smell of perfume filled the air. The room was full of yellow flowers that blossomed in the sunlight. The colourful glass window filled the room with rainbow light. This feels so comfy. Buttercup's pov: I wonder if Bright Mac likes the room. I picked it out just for him. It was his favourite colour yellow and his favourite flower Buttercups. He seemed happy so I dragged him downstairs to the cafeteria. We ordered apple slices and oat with hay. It tasted delicious. After the meal, me and Bright Mac went back into our room and went to bed.

I squealed with excitement and ran towards the train station. After the train ride and a small nap. We were getting closer to my family's farm. I sang a light some and spun around Bright Mac. I felt so happy and carefree in the open field. We will be there soon. Bright Mac's pov: I could tell Buttercup was very happy. She was singing a light tune and spinning in a circle. This vacation was a great idea. Just then I heard a snap in the bush behind us. I spun around keeping an eye out for anyone. Then I heard a rustle of leaves. I looked over my shoulder and I saw him. There was a coat holding a gun in his mouth. He was creeping toward us slowly and quietly. The moment I saw him, I nudged Buttercup and told her about it. Come on, let's go I said. He must have noticed us galloping away and ran after us. I hugged Buttercup and told her to run.

I am so sorry but I can't leave you. I picked up Bright Mac's body. Using my leftover energy to carry him as far as possible. I hugged him closely hoping the children will be alright. I heard the same gunshot and I sang my last word, "The seasons change and leaves may fall But I'll be with you through them all." I love you always and forever Bright Mac. I closed my eyes and that was the last thing I knew before my mind went blank.

Pear Butter's pov: I can't wait for school, I finished my breakfast really fast and left for school. I waved to Bright Mac and he waved back. He is so sweet. I wonder what my dad will say if he caught me waving to an Apple. I just wished our family wouldn't fight so much, that way we wouldn't have to play in secret. I arrived at school just as the school bell rang. I wonder what school will be about today? I hope it's something fun. Bright Mac's pov: I hope I could see Buttercup today. She is so nice, I wish we could be in the same school. I miss her so much. School is so boring. I can't wait for when school is over. I just wish our parents would stop fighting. Maybe then Buttercup and I will get to play together more. Then I heard a loud ring signalling the end of school. Yes, school is over! Pear Butter's pov: School was over now and I trotted over to Bright Mac and my special place and waited for him to show up. He up a few seconds later with a budget of flowers. We sat under our tree and talked about our day. Today has been a great day, I can't wait for tomorrow.

I will name him Big Mac he'll be just like Bright Mac, strong and caring. Bright Mac's pov: I am a father now. How sweet, I can't wait to teach my little coat everything. I will be the best father to him.

It nearly hit Buttercup I knew we wouldn't survive for much longer. Buttercup's pov: I heard a gunshot. Oh my, that nearly hit me. Please watch where you are shooting and don't try to hit me. I can't believe we are going to die like this. Just then I heard Bight Mac say, " Buttercup we can't keep running forever. Run as fast as you can to your dad's house, the kids need you. I will hold him off." I replied," Are you crazy? I am not letting you die for me. Whatever it is we will get through it together. I love you! I won't let you go without me. Bright Mac's pov: Buttercup is so stubborn, I heard footsteps behind us. He was getting closer. I hugged Buttercup and told her to run and even though she didn't want to she slowly got up. Just then I saw the pony who tried to shoot us aim his gun at Buttercup. I blocked her with my body preparing for the worst. Just before I was hit I whispered my last words, Buttercup I love you always and forever. Stay safe. I saw her mouth I love you back to me and that was the last thing I saw before the world went blank.
