But I can say, I really didn’t think things would go this far, Let’s start from the beginning!” “I grew up in zephyr heights naturally, as every pony was segregated while I was growing up and Ive lived with my parents and family since I was little.” “Yeah I was a grown pony my age living with my parents-big woop!” “ I love my family though sometimes I forget and make bad choices, as a poor pony family we were not much like those pegasus flying all around the town square with everything brand name on them or with them.” “During my life every pony never gave me the second glance but I didn’t expect them to, any friend I ever had lead me in the wrong direction, it’s kinda how I got in this position…” The guards(zoom and thunder) walk me into the thrown room with me in custody Thunder yelled out “bow before our queen!” Everyone bows as trumpets go and the queen flys down and sits on her thrown* (“I did something terrible! And I was caught…now I’m here in the thrown room in-front of her majesty herself.”) Zoom started speaking “my queen we just got a call from our security, we found this one stealing one of your necklaces! We’re sorry to inform that it broke in the process of catching her…the jewel is missing as-well.” Zoom looks over at me stern as thunder walked up to the queen giving her the broken necklace. The queen looked at the necklace and spoke “this was given to me when I was just a filly… passed down from generation to generation…” a tear falls from her eye as she motions a guard, the guard puts it on a pillow and trots away. The queen -overwhelmed with anger and sadness- then looked over at me. “So you think… that you can break into my home… steal a priceless necklace from not only me but a relic to my people and get away with it?… your very wrong!” Zipp was visiting her mother for one of her “queen lessons” and the raising of her mother’s voice caused her to come into the thrown room. Zipp approached her mother “mother?” “What’s going on?” She then looked over at me as the queen filled her in on what was going on. Zipp walked a bit close to me and looked closely at me and spoke “this is a serious crime..” I then replied in a shaky voice “I’m sorry, really I am,I’m so sorry.” Zipp continued to stare “I see…. A sorry won’t help what has happened… but you look like a pony who needs a chance to make it right.” Zipp turned around and talked to her mother then walked back up to me. “My mother has agreed to let me try a new experiment with you.. But any funny business at all and I won’t hesitate to take full action! Got it?” The tone in her voice was stern but it was all I needed to nod and gulp, the guards escorted me out with princess Zipp. Together they flew me to maretime bay, as we landed Zipp grabbed one of her new spy gadgets and placed a cylinder around my hoof locking it tight. “That’ll do the trick… also don’t try running with that it will shock you, guards you can go home, I got her from here!” Both Thunder and Zoom nod and start there journey flying back home. I look over at the princess sort of shy. “Thank you p-princess zipp.” She squinted her face and shook “um just call me Zipp and your not done yet, you have a long time to go before me or my mother think of letting you back in zephyrheights but for now you’ll be here in maretime bay and you will be sleeping where you can’t escape..” I stayed quiet as me and zipp walked into the sheriff station “hitch! Is a cell open?” She called out to a rather distracted yellow pony with green hair and a badge who I assumed she was speaking to since he was the only pony there, hitch stopped spinning in his chair as he saw me and cleared his throat sounding professional. “Ofcourse right this way.” He got up and grabbed a key in his desk unlocking the cell closest to his desk. He tapped the cell with his hoof as I moved forward. “In here!” he commanded as I walked in the cell then he locked it. Zipp filled him in on her plans for me and what happened. She give him the code for my shock lock on my hoof for any emergencies. Zipp had to go back to finish up “training” with her mother and also figured she would need to comfort her a little after everything that just happened, she then proceeded to say she would be back here soon to start my training until she had to go back for another lesson and would give him my orders in her absence. He nodded as they shared a brief conversation and said there goodbyes as Zipp flew out of the station. Hitch approached me “okay ms y/n Zipp filled me in on everything regarding her plans for you, this is where you’ll be staying, when you need to shower or something you are allowed to visit the bathroom upstairs under my tight supervision but need I remind you-if you try to run off you’ll regret it!” he looked at me quite stern. I replied in a low voice. “Okay, will I ever be able to call my family?” He furrowed his brows and sighed “that will be up to Zipp when she gets back you are under zephyrheights order to be here after all, for now I’m following her guidelines she left for you until she returns and that wasn’t mentioned in it.” It was already dark out as I heard a yawn from the sheriff. “It’s time for me to go-it’s late now, a blanket and a pillow is on the bed, see you tomorrow.” with that he grabbed his things and some critters started following him towards the upstairs, there was a crab and two seagulls, it sounded like he started having a conversation with them, he nodded and spoke to them replying to himself and to the critters. I looked in shock and a more alert glance watching them disappear up the stairs, I shook my head. I whispered in panic to myself “Oh great, just GREAT! Now I’m in the loony ward, got the pony in charge talking to birds and crabs aoh… wait oh no no no I’m gonna be trapped with these psychos!” I sighed trying to calm down then eventually laying down on the somewhat bed I had as a laid I couldn’t help but think of my family, I’m so to them sorry and I wish I’d never done it, I laid there crying myself to sleep hoping tomorrow might not be as bad as today. End of chapter 1 Thanks for reading ❤️ Just the startwhen I woke up my eyes slowly opened as I stretched long and let out a small whimper like I usually did when waking up, I looked around then realized I was in the cell and looked over seeing that same stallion from yesterday. He was talking to a blue and purple mare holding a baby teal dragon, he was talking all sweet to the baby as he nose kissed it. “Well I guess it wasn’t a dream….greaaat” I said sarcastically. I continued to watch as the baby grabbed his nose and pulled, the mare pulled away and a thank you was heard then she left with the baby as he looked over at me. Hitch: “sleep well? I try to make the cell comfortable despite what any pony does.” Me: “yeah…I guess as good as I can.” he comes to the cell with a cup of water and a breakfast looking thing of sorts. My eyes widened as he opened the cell and gave it to me. Hitch: “I’m not sure if you eat it but-“ Me: “it’s fine but I should visit the little fillies room after though.” Hitch: “oh ..uh sure, just let me know when your finished and ready.” Me: “gotcha hitch.” Hitch: “that’s yes sheriff to you.” He pointed a hood at me stern. Me: “uh …yeah ….yes sheriff.” He nods and walks off as I ate, soon enough I was finished. He then escorted me upstairs and waited outside sprucing his little home above the station up as I bathed and took care of business. Hitch: “how much longer?” he hollered to me from outside of the door. Me:”not too long.” I hollered back. soon enough I was finished and I walked out of the bathroom, I looked around as he was busy. I saw a nice big bed, a closet, a saddle bag, and a bunch of badges with straps, I continued to look until I felt a hoof on my shoulder. Hitch: ”what do you think your doing! I went over the rules yesterday, none said you could peek through my home!” The stallion seemed angry his eyebrows furrowed and a frown on his face as he then guided me back down stairs. Hitch: “here!” he places a rag and a bucket of water in my cell. Hitch: “your punishment for the day is to clean your new home the cell and my stations office desks from top to bottom, the trash,waste,dirt,all of it. The bars, the bed, the floor is all you and I want it clean by night fall. Maybe I’ll add something for you in there if all goes smooth.” I nodded as best I could and started work. at first I cleaned the desk next to his until it was all clean and well, then I went to my cell and cleaned it from top to bottom, all the grime and dirt sickened me, it must of been a long time since this place was cleaned. I gulped, next was hitches desk he was at. I walked over to his desk shy-like. Me: “Um do you want me to wait until you move or?” I say asking as nice as I could and trying not to be awkward. Hitch: “you can clean around me, no problem.” he sat there looking at paperwork as I started wiping his drawers out and then I started wiping his desk. Me: “um do you want me to get the part your at?” I asked seeing him busy. Hitch: “that’s a part of my desk is it not?” Me: “yes.” I softly got closer with the rag and he lifted the paper and his hooves as I wiped, I grabbed the mop and he scoots his chair back so I could get where he was. I started moping under his desk with the mop as I accidentally glanced back at his relaxed lower region, I looked away fast and finished moping then I went back to my cell but heard a voice. Hitch: “y/n” fetch me some coffee can you?” he asked this really focused on work as it was already late in the night. Me: “yeah… Ofcourse.” I went over to the coffee machine and tried to figure out how to use it, I’d been over there for some time as I felt a warmth come up behind me. Hitch: “I know these things can be tricky sometimes…here.” he showed me how to make it and use the machine. Me: “thanks.” Hitch: “your welcome, can you bring me two? I feel I’m gonna be here awhile with all this paperwork.” Me: “Ofcourse, right away.” Hitch: “thanks.” he looked around and noticed how clean and nice it smelled. Hitch: “hey, nice job cleaning up. The place hasn’t looked this clean in awhile.” he smiled and went back to his desk. shortly I brought him His cups of coffee. Hitch: “mmm just what I needed, alright y/n I have cameras up stairs, if you can promise you’ll go and just freshen up then I’ll let you go on your own but I’ll know if you wonder got it?” Me: “I won’t wonder.” Hitch: “alright.” I went upstairs and freshened up, I happened to glance at one of the clocks on his desk up stairs as I walked out of the restroom and realized how late it was. I sighed and walked back down stairs. To my surprise he had some food for me down stairs and a second blanket with a small slinky toy. Me: “I is this yours?” I ask tapping the slinky with my hoof slightly. Hitch: “no it’s yours, I saw in your chart you like trinkets and you did good today so kept it up, just keep doing as I say.” Me: “is this a take out?” I see some food I’ve had before. Hitch: “yeah I don’t necessarily cook ms y/n, luckily this job gives me access to this kind of stuff.” Me: “thank you sheriff” I smile in appreciation. we sit together with our food. Hitch: “yeah, so since you’ll be here awhile, maybe I should know a bit more about you.” Me: “um .. if you want.” I look a bit nervous and uncomfortable trying to hide it. Hitch: “so do you have a hobby?” Me: “Well sorta.. I like to um make hoof art and draw with my wings.” Hitch: he try’s to speak with his mouth a bit full trying to woof down his food. “Mm- that’s mm interesting.” he gulps “how long?” he sips his drink. Me: I look at him quite shocked of how friendly and comfortable he was regardless of earlier and knowing I was in here for a reason “Since I was just a filly, my family loved it a lot so I just- kept doing the art.” I couldn’t help but notice as I looked up at how much taller he was and how broad his chest was though he was eating, his brownish orange eyes gleamed down at me listening to my every word. Me: “so do you do anything when your off?” I try to keep conversation going. Hitch: he gulped his last bit of food down. “oh for sure, I hang out with my friends.” Me: “that’s nice.” I didn’t really know what that was like… to hang with friends, so I didn’t ask further- I just finished my food quietly then I cleaned the mess and threw away everything we had trash wise left. Hitch: “well y/n I’m gonna hit the hay, I’ll see you tomorrow.” he walked me to my cell as I got in he locked the door behind me and yawned I went over to my bed and watched him trot upstairs turning the lights off. I think about the day and how it went, my thoughts consume me- it wasn’t a terrible day but I missed my family… anger grew in my face, when I get out of here she’ll pay…. But for now I need to get through this or I’ll never get back home. maybe the sheriff was right, if I do as he says maybe it’ll all be fine and go faster, I stared at the ceiling as I soon fell asleep. I glanced over at the clock on hitches desk in the station-4:49am. I groaned and tried to fall asleep again rolling the other way fluffing my feathers. I heard a small noise as I saw hitch in the dark slowly making his way down the stairs, he glanced over at me, I didn’t want him to yell or anything so I pretended to be asleep. he made a soft noise then looked around, after he grabbed something he went back to his little home upstairs. Me: “hmmm” I looked in suspicion. “Come on sleep you.” I said trying to talk my body into sleeping. I looked around and noticed my slinky. I poked it and started to fiddle with it, eventually I fell asleep, later I was woken by hitch yelling. “No SPARKY! Stop!” He yelled loud. Sparky ran to the other side of the room as hitch shook his head. “Thanks for watching him last night izzy… I really needed to catch up on some paperwork, I love my little guy but I admit he is quite a hoof-full heh.” The purple mare giggled. “Oh hitchie don’t worry, any time you need a sitter I’ll be there just let me know.” “Thanks so much Izzy.” They hugged and said goodbye. I looked around and saw a greenish blue little dragon on the floor outside of my cell. He was growling and had a deranged look in his eyes. My eyes widened as my ears fell. “Uhhhh hi little uh dragon.. everything’s ok no need to -“ I gasped as he bit the bar of my cell. “SPARKY sparkeroni! He hollared loud grabbing him and pulling him into his chest. “Bad sparky bad!” He looked into the baby’s eyes as the baby smiles at him in awe. “Oh how could I be mad at you huh? Oh no I can’t can I, can I? “ he spoke in a baby voice to the dragon. He took sparky upstairs and came back down. “Sorry sparky is still learning…he’s usually great with other ponies though” he said coming to my cell. I looked out at him. “Uh No problem… I’m sure he was confused annnnyway can I come out now?” He nodded and let me out to freshen up, next I met him back down stairs and he opened the front door to the station. “I really am amazed how well the station looks… maybe you would like to go into town today with me,I need to make some rounds, I suppose you would like it better out here than in there? if you think your ready.” He smirked mischiefly. “So think you can?” He dared. “Yeah for sure, besides I haven’t gotten to see the light of day in a good bit.” He nodded his head and we both went out on the town. “Now y/n the deal is you will look for any trash and pick it up, think of it as community service. Now remember no bright ideas you may fly up and stretch your wings while searching around but if you try to leave mare time bay you’ll be surprised.” “I wouldn’t dream of it sir, if I left I wouldn’t get to spend all my days with you would I?” I said sarcastically. Hitch rolled his eyes and smiled. “Come on we got work to do.” He walked to each trash can and made me pick up any litter anywhere I saw. I soon trotted apart from him as he was yelling at somepony. “Hmm I wonder..” I spread my wings and leaned down and quickly zoomed up into the air smiling. “Hahaha yes! Finally!” I swooped down and around town through ally ways and past all the shops completely in my own happy bubble at-least until I saw a pony push another onto the ground. “Woah!” I swooped down and jumped in-front of the defenseless pony. “You better quit, what did this pony do for you to push them.” The pony’s scoffed. “You must be new here, this pony is bad news he’s not so innocent either, he almost caused a war here, sprouts just a no good somnabitch.” The bigger stallion (blue with a orange mane) said. “Yeah trust us he doesn’t deserve any of your pity.” The smaller stallion said. (tan with a pink mane) The stallions both smiled at eachother and started to ask me questions . I started talking to them as I looked back at the pony as the talking distracted the other males. “Sprout is it? I’m y/n. You can go on ahead I think they forgot.” I said smiling. Sprout smiled at me and looked at a loss for words, he nodded and trotted off fast. The stallions were laughing and I turned around smiling. “Well boys it was nice meeting you I’m sure I’ll see you soon but duty calls.” They smiled both blushing as I flew off. “What a pony.” the smaller one said. “Aye that girl totally thought I was better!” The bigger stallion said. “No way she thought I was!” The stallions went off arguing. I flew back near hitch and picked up trash. After several hours we finally finished, hitch looked at me and breathed in deep. “Ok y/n I’m going to trust you… can you go back to the station and wait for me there? don’t make me regret this..” I looked at him and nodded next thing I knew he trotted off fast. “Huh wonder what his problem is.” I say low as I trot back. Awhile later hitch finally got back to the station. “Your back.” I said bold. “Oh - ya I was just running some errands. I brought you this.” He brought back a sandwich as he handed it to me he yawned. “You look kinda tired.and cold ” I said shyly. “I definitely am.. sparky has been keeping me up all night long. Luckily Izzy said tonight she would watch him so I could get some rest and yeah it’s starting to get nippy out.” I tilted my head. “Ahh I see.” I trot to the coffee maker and come back with a cup of water. “Here sheriff.” I smile soft. He smiled back.”thanks y/n.” “Ah I know another thing.” I nudged him over to the sofa where ponies sat and waited. He laid on it and stretched out softly. “When my grand mare feels stressed and tired she always asks me to rub by her hooves.” I say with a light chuckle. Wait no.. what am I doing?” I backed away and went to the cell to eat then got ready to sleep, soon enough after all was finished I looked over to see him snoring loud. They all smiled. Sunny: “hitch you made it! We thought we would have to send zipp to get you.” She giggled. Hitch: “oh no I couldn’t miss this, but I brought a -old friend, her names y/n.” He moves aside to reveal you. Zipps ears perk up and she looks a bit flustered and angry. Izzy,pipp,and sunny all gather around and introduce themselves. After all the commotion zipp asked hitch to talk to her alone and they both went to the bedrooms so he could put sparky to sleep and talk. Zipp: “hitch..why is she here?” She said her ears going back. Hitch: “I know I know, but I’ve been watching her and she seems change-“ Zipp: “are you serious? I haven’t even gotten to train with her and you think she’s ‘changed’?” She cut him off in protest. Hitch: “I know but I-“ Zipp: “do I need to take matters into my own hoof? I thought you were gonna help me with this!” Hitch looked around in thought. Hitch: “Ofcourse I am.. I was just….giving her a test, you know to see if she’s changing or if she’s still bad, to see if she will last through the night, couldn’t blow her cover right?” He said nervous. Zipp looked at him and relaxed. Zipp: “your right, if she can pass this perhaps she is changing,… but sheriff I wouldn’t get too hasty.” She poked her hoof at his chest. Zipp: “ponies like that don’t just turn good easily, atleast not without a reason at hoof, if by some chance she passes today and your training works, then I’ll let her continue working with you , if not she’s coming with me.” Hitch: “deal.” Hitch finishes putting sparky to bed as Zipp walks out to see you listening to pipp talking about ponygram. Zipp trotted up to you. Zipp: “sooo y/n, how you been doing?” She slid next to me and smiled in a knowing way. Me: “oh well you know just uh helping hitch out heh.” Zipp: “ah well I’m sure you’ll do .. just fine…maybe..” I gulped and hitch finally came back. Hitch: “ready to have some fun? We have a half hour till the show starts.” Pipp: “well I thought I’d make a short video before the show, A DANCE VIDEO!” Izzy: “oooo do the izzzayy.” Pipp turned on the music as Izzy started getting up and dancing wildly then she grabs sunny and they dance in sync, zipp rolls her eyes as pipp pulls her in and she smiles copying the dance. Me: “woah.” The four mares danced in sync as hitch grabbed me and smiled. Hitch: “common let’s dance!” Me: “but I - I can’t dan- oooof!” He pulled me out and I started to follow his moves blushing, as the song went on we all free styled. Pipp recorded her and Izzy free styling and posted it. Pipp: “woooh- I’m definitely ready to sit down, relax and watch the light show.” Sunny: “oh yeah uh that’s enough dancing for one day.” Zipp watched me all night and peered with anger every so often. Later that night they all went out on the top of the hill outside with there blankets and snacks. The comets shot across the sky, it was a beautiful and amazing sight. Sunny scooted close to hitch and leaned her head on him. I looked over and saw how they looked, I hated to admit it but I was getting jealous…. As the show stopped everyone began putting things up but not before zipp shuffled towards me. Zipp: “hey, look y/n I want to apologize, I know I haven’t been the nicest but…your doing good y/n.” She smiled and so did I. Me: “I’m sorry for everything that happened I really am trying my best, it’s ok I would be suspicious first too.” Both the mares smiled at eachother as hitch came over to us. Hitch: “Hey guys everyone is in the bright house, zipp did you talk to y/n?” Zipp: “yeah I did, glad to see you here.” She blushed and trotted off. Hitch: “huh what did you say to her?” Hitch said looking suspicious. Me: “what do you mean? All we did was apologize to eachother.” Hitch: “seems like more than that to me hm.” His tail jolted as it swayed in a tense way and he peered at me. Me: “it’s the truth, so the others are waiting for you?” Hitch: “us and yes but I didn’t get to talk to you about the show.” He sat next to me and smiled. Hitch:”wasn’t it great?” Me:”for sure! It was so bright and lovely.” I felt him lean on my shoulder and I blushed hard. Me:”uh um.” Hitch: “just resting my head, it’s been a long day.” He closed his eyes relaxing. Me: “heh yeah it has.” We stayed that way for a few minutes until he lifted his head and we started talking about the comets. As he spoke I looked down at his hoof, do I dare? I thought to myself then something caught my eye. My eyes widened as I saw his genitals, I never knew how big a stallion could be, a bit of his shaft was poking out happily, he was talking up a storm as I kept looking. His balls were plump and my already blushing face blushed harder, I felt a happy turned on feeling approach as I realized everything. Hitch: “isn’t that nice, what do you think y/n?” Hitch asked about the comets form. Me: “you’ve no idea..” I then looked up fast and nervously laughing. Me: “really you’ve no idea I love comets and stars, we better get back though. Hitch: “yeah your right let’s go.” We both trotted in to see Izzy playing with sparky. I looked around and noticed the time. Me:“Woah two am.” Hitch: “what? I have work tomorrow.” He went to pick up sparky and he cried. Hitch: “sparky sparkaroni! It’s time to go home.” Izzy: “aww he’s so happy here, besides he just woke up, maybe he can spend the night with me?” Hitch: “oh uh I don’t know um..” Izzy and sparky looked with wide eyes doing the please face. Hitch: “oh alright fine…just tonight.” He trotted to the door. Hitch: “y/n! We’re leaving!” He hollared out as I followed behind him. He trotted in front of me, he didn’t seem too happy. As we got to the station he told me to clean the trash up, my ears went down actually remembering why I was here so I went around the station and picked up any cups or leftover trash. Hitch sighed and sat down to work on some papers before he called it a night, meanwhile I grabbed the mop and decided to mop the floor. Hitch: “y/n, I thought I said just pick up the trash?” He looked up slightly his ears flickering back and fourth. Me: “well I just thought- I’d do the floors.” Hitch: “oh great…” hitch dismissed my work. I felt sorta bad he usually would be nice and atleast say thanks, he seemed like he was in a bad mood. Me: “hitch? Is something wrong?” Hitch: “y/n just let me finish my work.” his ears twitched in irritation then fell back. Me: “why can’t you tell me?” I said my ears falling back upset. Hitch: “well you know maybe I don’t want to? Maybe I don’t want to talk to you about my life, I think you should just go to your cell for the night!” He said anger rising in his voice. Me: “o-ok.” I said trying to fight the tears about to fall, I trotted to my cell and covered myself and cried under my blanket, I felt so much pain and sadness that everything felt hopeless. About an hour later after I fell asleep through the tears, I felt something big slide in behind me, my body began to quiver as I felt a body spooning me and felt a hoof wrap around me. Hitch: “m m m I’m sorry.~” As he said that I felt a wet tongue lick my neck softly, at this point I was blushing big time, then I felt something poke on my thy as I squirmed it went between my legs and rested on my mare folds. Is a cell open?” She called out to a rather distracted yellow pony with green hair and a badge who I assumed she was speaking to since he was the only pony there, hitch stopped spinning in his chair as he saw me and cleared his throat sounding professional. “Ofcourse right this way.” He got up and grabbed a key in his desk unlocking the cell closest to his desk. He tapped the cell with his hoof as I moved forward. “In here!” he commanded as I walked in the cell then he locked it. Zipp filled him in on her plans for me and what happened. Zipp had to go back to finish up “training” with her mother and also figured she would need to comfort her a little after everything that just happened, she then proceeded to say she would be back here soon to start my training until she had to go back for another lesson and would give him my orders in her absence. He nodded as they shared a brief conversation and said there goodbyes as Zipp flew out of the station. Hitch approached me “okay ms y/n Zipp filled me in on everything regarding her plans for you, this is where you’ll be staying, when you need to shower or something you are allowed to visit the bathroom upstairs under my tight supervision but need I remind you-if you try to run off you’ll regret it!” he looked at me quite stern. I replied in a low voice. “Okay, will I ever be able to call my family?” He furrowed his brows and sighed “that will be up to Zipp when she gets back you are under zephyrheights order to be here after all, for now I’m following her guidelines she left for you until she returns and that wasn’t mentioned in it.” It was already dark out as I heard a yawn from the sheriff. “It’s time for me to go-it’s late now, a blanket and a pillow is on the bed, see you tomorrow.” with that he grabbed his things and some critters started following him towards the upstairs, there was a crab and two seagulls, it sounded like he started having a conversation with them, he nodded and spoke to them replying to himself and to the critters. I looked in shock and a more alert glance watching them disappear up the stairs, I shook my head. I whispered in panic to myself “Oh great, just GREAT! Now I’m in the loony ward, got the pony in charge talking to birds and crabs aoh… wait oh no no no I’m gonna be trapped with these psychos!” I sighed trying to calm down then eventually laying down on the somewhat bed I had as a laid I couldn’t help but think of my family, I’m so to them sorry and I wish I’d never done it, I laid there crying myself to sleep hoping tomorrow might not be as bad as today. My eyes widened as he opened the cell and gave it to me. Hitch: “I’m not sure if you eat it but-“ Me: “it’s fine but I should visit the little fillies room after though.” Hitch: “oh ..uh sure, just let me know when your finished and ready.” Me: “gotcha hitch.” Hitch: “that’s yes sheriff to you.” He pointed a hood at me stern. Me: “uh …yeah ….yes sheriff.” He nods and walks off as I ate, soon enough I was finished. He then escorted me upstairs and waited outside sprucing his little home above the station up as I bathed and took care of business. Hitch: “how much longer?” he hollered to me from outside of the door. Me:”not too long.” I hollered back. soon enough I was finished and I walked out of the bathroom, I looked around as he was busy. I saw a nice big bed, a closet, a saddle bag, and a bunch of badges with straps, I continued to look until I felt a hoof on my shoulder. Hitch: ”what do you think your doing! I went over the rules yesterday, none said you could peek through my home!” The stallion seemed angry his eyebrows furrowed and a frown on his face as he then guided me back down stairs. Hitch: “here!” he places a rag and a bucket of water in my cell. Hitch: “your punishment for the day is to clean your new home the cell and my stations office desks from top to bottom, the trash,waste,dirt,all of it. The bars, the bed, the floor is all you and I want it clean by night fall. Maybe I’ll add something for you in there if all goes smooth.” I nodded as best I could and started work. at first I cleaned the desk next to his until it was all clean and well, then I went to my cell and cleaned it from top to bottom, all the grime and dirt sickened me, it must of been a long time since this place was cleaned. I gulped, next was hitches desk he was at. I walked over to his desk shy-like. Me: “Um do you want me to wait until you move or?” I say asking as nice as I could and trying not to be awkward. Hitch: “you can clean around me, no problem.” he sat there looking at paperwork as I started wiping his drawers out and then I started wiping his desk. Me: “um do you want me to get the part your at?” I asked seeing him busy. Hitch: “that’s a part of my desk is it not?” Me: “yes.” I softly got closer with the rag and he lifted the paper and his hooves as I wiped, I grabbed the mop and he scoots his chair back so I could get where he was. I started moping under his desk with the mop as I accidentally glanced back at his relaxed lower region, I looked away fast and finished moping then I went back to my cell but heard a voice. Hitch: “y/n” fetch me some coffee can you?” he asked this really focused on work as it was already late in the night. Me: “yeah… Ofcourse.” I went over to the coffee machine and tried to figure out how to use it, I’d been over there for some time as I felt a warmth come up behind me. Hitch: “I know these things can be tricky sometimes…here.” he showed me how to make it and use the machine. Me: “thanks.” Hitch: “your welcome, can you bring me two? I feel I’m gonna be here awhile with all this paperwork.” Me: “Ofcourse, right away.” Hitch: “thanks.” he looked around and noticed how clean and nice it smelled. Hitch: “hey, nice job cleaning up. The place hasn’t looked this clean in awhile.” he smiled and went back to his desk. shortly I brought him His cups of coffee. Hitch: “mmm just what I needed, alright y/n I have cameras up stairs, if you can promise you’ll go and just freshen up then I’ll let you go on your own but I’ll know if you wonder got it?” Me: “I won’t wonder.” Hitch: “alright.” I went upstairs and freshened up, I happened to glance at one of the clocks on his desk up stairs as I walked out of the restroom and realized how late it was. I sighed and walked back down stairs. To my surprise he had some food for me down stairs and a second blanket with a small slinky toy. Me: “I is this yours?” I ask tapping the slinky with my hoof slightly. Hitch: “no it’s yours, I saw in your chart you like trinkets and you did good today so kept it up, just keep doing as I say.” Me: “is this a take out?” I see some food I’ve had before. Hitch: “yeah, so since you’ll be here awhile, maybe I should know a bit more about you.” Me: “um .. if you want.” I look a bit nervous and uncomfortable trying to hide it. Hitch: “so do you have a hobby?” Me: “Well sorta.. A day outI woke up kinda early in the night. I glanced over at the clock on hitches desk in the station-4:49am. I groaned and tried to fall asleep again rolling the other way fluffing my feathers. The stallions were laughing and I turned around smiling. “Well boys it was nice meeting you I’m sure I’ll see you soon but duty calls.” They smiled both blushing as I flew off. “What a pony.” the smaller one said. “Aye that girl totally thought I was better!” The bigger stallion said. “No way she thought I was!” The stallions went off arguing. I flew back near hitch and picked up trash. Hitch woke up with all the noise as he stood fast. “Y/n ..Y/N!!!” He shouted loud but I couldn’t hear him through the panic and anxiety. He quickly opened the cell and came in, as I panicked I felt a pair of hooves wrap around me. “Shhh calm down its ok- you were dreaming, shhhh~” He held me softly as I started to realize I was safe my breathing slowed. “H-hitch?” I softly mumble. “Yeah I’m here, it’s me don’t worry.” He smiled and rubbed his hood aside my back cueing me. I nuzzles into him crying, he held me for several minutes until I realized I needed to pull away so I did. “Thank you.. i just had a nightmare is all” I softly mutter. “It’s ok I need to be up anyways, I’m just glad I could be here to make sure you were ok.” “Thanks.. well I guess the days starting” I stretch. “May I come out sir? Only if you want I won’t trou-“ I was cut off. “Yeah Ofcourse head upstairs and get ready, when your done I’ll get ready after, would you mind mixing me up some coffee when you finish? I like how you make it.” He smiled soft. “Definitely sheriff sir.” I trot up stairs and freshen up, when I finish I slowly trot down stairs as I hear noise. “Ahem I’ll certainly take care of that daliah.” “Oh good I was so worried.. I love how you help me so much, I only wish I could help you as much back.” I poke my head slightly out so no pony would notice me as I watched and listened. The mare put her hoof on his chest and rubbed it softly, then she nuzzles him seductively. I started feeling really angry, like I had a right to be even though I didn’t. “Just the citizens living in peace is thanks enough for me, I’m now only getting complaints from posey haha.” He cluelessly didn’t realize her motive. “Well if you change your mind sheriff hitch you know where to ahem find me.” She said sweet. I looked in fury as thoughts circled in my head. (What a whorse like she doesn’t know how to act pffft she just ughhhh!) my thoughts consumed as I trotted down stairs. “Ah good I’ll be out soon.” He went up as I made his coffee. He came down as I was standing by his desk with our drinks. I stared at him, remembering last night I started to blush. “Thanks so much Y/n. We got a lot to do today.” I nod as a purple pony walked in. “I’m glad I caught you at a good time.” She smiled wide. “SPARKY! hi bud, I missed you so much oh yes I did oh yes!” He yelled grabbing him and hugging him. I watched from afar. Hitch placed sparky on his back as he looked at me. “Oh oh izzy I’d like you to meet y/n.” She got up close to me. “Hi new friend! Are you new?!” She smiled wide. Hitch intervened. “Yes haha she’s staying with me for a bit she’s a … old friend.” He smiled wide looking nervously at izzy. “Ooooooo sweet, hey y/n you should totally come to the crystal bright house tonight all our friends are going to watch the light show right hitch.” He thought. “Wait that is TODAY!?” “Yeahhhhh remember we all planned this, ooop I have to get going, we need more time to finish the decorations.” He came up to sparky. “Bye little guy see you later.” She bopped his nose and he laughed. “Bye new friend and old friend see you later!!!!” She jumped out of the door. Hitch walked out of the station with sparky as I followed behind. The whole day we were out, him patrolling and me picking up litter, he was quiet. The day soon faded into sunset, a pink and blue layer surrounding all of maretime bay. Hitch sat by the sea and tapped his hoof next to him indicating he wants me to sit. I sat as he placed sparky next to him. “You can go… just don’t make me regret it,” he looked over and started to smile. I smiled back full of glee inside of me trying to hide it. “Great, I mean cool.” I hid. “It’s gonna be dark soon we better get ready to go it’s a decent trot to get there I’m sure we will make it right at night fall.” The both of us began trotting up to the crystal bright house as sparky fell asleep on his back, along the way he told me everything I could say and what I couldn’t but he assured me zipp would be there, I got a bit worried but maybe she will think I’m doing better, Atleast I thought I was.
