"Are you sure your going to be okay by yourself?" a blue pegasus with a rainbow mane was hurriedly packing a suitcase. Clothes and other various objects were being flung this way and that as she searched for the desired articles she needed to pack.
I had sighed and shook my head slightly at her bustling display as she dashed from one side of the room to another at a paniced pace. I would have to clean the room later, if I could make it to the door in one piece that is. "Yes rainbow I will be fine" I replied as I started to levitate the unopened boxes into one corner of the room that was still neat. At least the boxes rainbow was devoted to tear up and gut would already be mostly unpacked for her.
Rainbow looked up from the box she was currently tearing apart to study me for a moment. I met her gaze and smiled sweetly as I finished stacking the boxes successfully in the corner.
"Uhhh, Twilight." rainbow glanced toward my pile of neatly stacked boxes. "I think my suit might be in one of those, I couldn't find it in any of the ones over here." My new expression of irritation was met by rainbows nervous smile.
"Your telling me that, thats what you have been looking for this whole time. Didn't I tell you to pack your suit in one of the boxes at the front door, so that we could easily find it later." I started to unstack box by box back into the center of the room as I let out a frustrated sigh in her direction.
It would take forever to get all this chaos organized, if spike was still around it wouldn't take as long though I thought. I wonder what that little dragon is up to anyway, probably over at raritys wooing sweetie bell. I hope running that library all by himself isn't too much work for him, I know he said it was fine but-. I was broken away from my thoughts by rainbows announcement of finally finding her suit.
Rainbow looked around the room at the mess she had made. "I can help clean this up before I leave" the blue coated mare said cautiously, waiting to get lectured on how this could have been avoided by her partner.
I glanced around the room and then centered in on rainbow sitting in the middle of all the piles of are belongings scattered around the floor. "Its okay, I will get it all cleaned up later. I don't want you to be late for your first season tour with the wounderbolts." Rainbow walked over and packed her final item into the suitcase on the bed before walking over to me with her huge smile she always seemed to have on now a days.
"Thank you twi" she planted a small tender kiss on my lips and pulled me into a hug.
Twilight had always been so good to me, I will miss her while I'm gone. I hugged the purple mare tighter to me, not wanting to let go. The clocks constant ticking reminded me of the short time I actually had left with her. Soon enough there was a knock at the door, I let go of twi and kissed her again before I went over to the bed to grab my suitcase.
"Im sorry I cant stay and help you unpack, I know we just moved in and " I was silenced by twilights nuzzling on my neck. I hadn't noticed her follow me to the bed. I bent my head down to be closer to hers. Another knock at the door parted us, I picked up the suitcase as me and twi trotted over to the door together. She opened it with her magic to reveal Soarin and Spitfire waiting outside.
"You ready to go already rainbow dash?" Spitfire teased her as rainbow walked out the door, she rolled her eyes at spitfire and smiled a bit.
Spitfire and Soarin were getting there wings ready to go. "I will miss you twi." I smiled as I stretched out my wings, getting them ready for the long flight ahead.
"I will miss you to rainbow" I smiled back as I watched her stretch her wings getting ready to take flight.
"Okay guys lets get flying" Spitfire and Soarin took off into the sky. Rainbow looked back at twilight once more and then took off into the air to catch up.
I laughed a bit and turned to go back inside to rangle with the mess I had been left with.
It was not ten minutes before I realised the mess I had gotten myself into cleaning up, In the moment I had neglected to see the sheer volume of the mess in this room. Me the pony who always knows every detail around me, especially my own home. Well what can I say, living with rainbow had changed me a little. I started to tackle the mess head on, magic made the ordeal faster.
I sure hope twi's not angry with me when I get back, I know I did leave a big mess due to my carelessness. She had magic anyway right, Im sure it will take her no time at all.
I still feel bad about it though... The sudden gust of wind almost knocked her back but she managed to straighten herself out. Luckily spitfire and soarin hadn't noticed rainbows lack of concentration. She hoped the season would go over fast, but not too fast. She wanted to get home as soon as possible for twi's sake if not her own, yet she wanted to stay on the tour as long as possible. She had been waiting for this her whole life right, it was only natural.
The three continued to fly into the heavy winds tword's phillydelphia where her first ever show would be starting in less than five hours.
