Little Miss Perfect...Again
Sunset Shimmer
A small giggle escaped my throat as the main character was being super awkward in this particular scene. All 7 of us were sitting down on the couch watching a comedy movie. It was about 11PM by now. The movie was almost over anyways.
As I was giggling slightly I heard her do it too. Twilight, I loved her laugh, I think it’s so adorable. I just think she’s adorable in general, the way she goes rambling on about things she loves, or how she gets supper awkward and nervous in some social situations.
I felt myself smiling warmly at her, luckily she didn’t notice it. But someone else sure did.
I felt a nudge on my should as I looked over to be met with the smirking face of RainbowDash. “Hurry up and make your move she isn’t gonna wait around forever. Plus we all know you have a thing for her.” Her grin widened as she whispered, and more heat rose up to my cheeks as they grew red. “Shut up Dash what would you know anyways?” I turned my head now just side eyeing her. “More than you, at least I could tell FlutterShy how I feel.” I backed down at her statement, it was true I didn’t have another argument for it. I groaned quietly and turned away hearing her snicker at me.
After about a minute or so I felt my eyes get heavy and slowly closing, I forced myself to stay awake and tried forcing my eyes open, to no avail. Soon I was swept away into sleep.
Twilight Sparkle
I checked the time left of the movie, ten minutes. I could sit through another ten minutes of this I suppose. It wasn’t a great movie but it wasn’t the worst either.
I began to think of the movies flaws and unconsciously critiquing them. As I was rambling on about it to myself I felt a light weight on my shoulder.
I glanced down to see locks of red and gold laying on it. Oh my God. Is she asleep? Should I say something? Ahhh what do I do? I started internally panicking as a redness started rising to my cheeks as they warmed up and my heart rate increased.
I began to take deeper breaths to try and calm my nerves down. Okay, okay. I just won’t say anything, her breathing is slowed anyways so it’s most likely she is asleep. She wouldn’t do this if she was awake anyways. I don’t know why but just that thought alone made my chest sting for a moment.
Well anyways I definitely don’t want to disturb her and wake her up. I’ll just sit completely and utterly still for the next. Uhh, five minutes. Wait five minutes already? That only felt like two or three? Best not to dwell on it.
The movie had just finished and just the end credits were playing. I heard everyone else start to get up to head to bed. I stayed there a moment deciding how I would wake Sunset up, I obviously couldn’t just leave her down here.
I gently nudged at her side. “Hey Sunset? The movie’s over.” I called to her gently. She raised her head up to come face to face with me. “Oh sorry Twilight, I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.” Her voice still sounded tired as she let out a yawn. “We should both head to bed, not sure about you but I’m gonna head up now.” She moved to get up before pausing barely even a second later.
I felt a small gentle pressure on my cheek. Wait did she? Did she just kiss me on the cheek? “Goodnight Twi.” She went to get up this time actually going and heading upstairs.
I sat there for a moment, my cheeks burned yet again with a heavy blush. Sunset had made little small comments you may not even notice and stuff sometimes but had never actually done anything like this.
After about a minute or two of sitting there I decided to head upstairs to my room, I walked past Sunset’s glancing at her door for a second the blush that was just beginning to fade reappearing clear as day on my face.
I finally entered my room and sat down on my bed calming myself down.
RainbowDash
Wait...
Is that...
No...
Little Miss Perfect... blaring through the house, it was faint but still could clearly be recognised. But no... we can’t live through this every night. Goddamnit Sunset Shimmer, I just know this is your fault again. What on earth could you have done this time?
“RainbowDash? Can you get her to stop playing that please? At this stage I’ll never fall asleep.” I could barely get what FlutterShy said due to her always talking so quietly. But I got, ‘Get her to stop.’ and something about, ‘Never gonna fall asleep.’ I can work with that.
“I’ll do my best.”

God...
That wretched song... Little Miss Perfect... I cannot deal with hearing that song every night. We get she has a crush on Sunset, but what in tarnation makes her play that specific song every time Sunset does anything affectionate to her at all?
I heard a groan from the other side of the room. “AppleJack, darling. Please go get her to stop that horrible racket, I’m never going to get my beauty sleep if this continues.” Geez sounds more like a demand than a request.
“Alright I’m on it.”

Twilight...
For Celestia’s sake why that song again? I really shouldn’t have done that. I really need to think ahead of time from now on.
I heard my door aggressively being shoved open along with two pairs of footsteps. I quickly snapped my head around to be met with AppleJack and RainbowDash. They both stared at me in disappointment. “Sunset Shimmer.” Her voice was cold. “AppleJack?” Oh God time to brace myself. “Okay what the hell did you do to her to make her play that song!” Rainbow was nearly shouting louder than the music itself.
“What makes you think I did it?” That was a dumb thing to ask, I know it was me who did it. “I don’t even care what you did. Just get in there now and fix it before we all go insane.” AppleJack pointed to the door.
“It’s nearly over she’ll probably put it down after it’s finished.” I suggested trying to get out of it. The song finally came to an end. It was followed by our sighs of relief. I was free. Just as if on cue it started up again followed by groaning. “Well she doesn’t seem like she’s stopping anytime soon so get moving!” Dash basically disappeared then started pushing me from behind. God damn her insane speed.
“Fine! Okay fine!” I exclaimed storming out of the room. I heard their footsteps leaving my room and returning to their own.
I slammed open Twilight’s door earning a surprised shriek from her. She immediately moved over to turn off the music. As soon as she did I swear I couldn’t faintly hear RainbowDash shouting words of joy.
“Alright the Little Miss Perfect needs to stop, now.” My voice was deadly serious as I unintentionally glared at her. “I- I’m sorry I just-“ She cut herself off as I layed down beside her in bed. Her cheeks were beet red as of now.
“There’s no point in pretending anymore, we both know why your playing that damn song. It’s because of the kiss wasn’t it?” I leaned closer to her, her face reddened even more, damn I didn’t even think it could. “Hmm, maybe do you want more than just a quick kiss on the cheek?” My voice lowered into a more seductive one, earning a small adorable squeak from her and a slight nod. I leaned forward closing the barely any space between us.
My lips locked with hers. It was only a few seconds but it felt like hours went by before I pulled away from the kiss which she showed no intent of stopping. “I- Sunset.” She barely got the words out, but I knew what she was trying to say. I gave a small laugh, “I love you too Twilight. How about we get some sleep?” My voice turned more gentle now. “Mhm.” I got up to leave for my room before her hand grabbed mine. “Just stay in here... with me.” She removed her glasses before pulling me in beside her. I shifted about for a second to get comfortable as the sleep from before took me for the night as we cuddled together.
