Chapter 4: Nightmare Night & Late Night Cake

I know i know its a bit late for a Nightmare Night chapter but i have had writers block for this story

it had been two years since Luna wanted to be ‘reborn’ and this night was a very special one it was Nightmare Night Celestia had made Luna a costume the filly was ready for Nightmare Night unfortunately Celestia could not take Luna out trick or treating so she had Luna’s attendit take her Crystal Belle had grown on the filly as she would not stop bouncing excited about Nightmare Night and all the candy she was going to get Luna kept bouncing until they reached the front gates

“Come on Cwystal wets go” Luna said running as fast as her tiny legs could take her

“Hold on now Luna you can’t run off like that” Crystal stated grabbing the filly in her magical grip who started giggling at being levitated in the air

“Weww huwwy I wanna get candy” Luna said as they began to trot out the gates but as soon as they did Luna ran off and fast with her care take in tow and her little candy pale in her mouth (You know the ones shaped like a pumpkin) the whole time Luna was singing the Nightmare Night song Crystal giggled at how much the filly had grown over the years she had been her caretaker she also remember how sad Luna was when her sister could not take her out trick or treating on Nightmare Night

“Now slow down Luna i know you are excited but you can’t keep running off like that” Crystal scolded the filly making her dig her hoof at the ground Crystal sighed “I’m sorry Luna but you can’t do that what if somepony came a picked you up and took you off what would Celestia think she would be devastated” Crystal explained to the filly

“Sowwy Cwystal i wont wun off wike that again” Luna apologized earning a smile from Crystal as the two went from house to house getting candy until Luna saw something it was a day care she looked up at her caretaker and friend “Cwystal why can’t i go there and meet ofther pownies?” The filly asked

“Well Luna you are not like normal ponies you have both wings and a horn unlike someponies who have just wings or just a horn like me someponies have neither and there are ponies who don’t like that and would want to hurt you because of that reason” Crystal explained to Luna who just nodded making it look like she understood when she did not understand “So that makes you an alicorn and best of all a princess but come on Luna we need to get back to the castle”

“Alwight Cwystal....Wait can we go and see Cadance pwease?” Luna asked hoping to see Cadance again Luna would never say it out loud but she prefered Cadance out of all the other ‘princes’ and ‘princesses’ who were of noble blood but Luna though Cadance was nice she was never mean and always spread love to ponies who needed it and even made them smile

“Sorry Luna but we can’t she is busy right now maybe if you're a good filly then we can go and visit her tomorrow, does that sound good to you?” Crystal asked hoping Luna would agree while she levitated the filly placing Luna on her back the filly did what she always did when placed on Crystals back and nuzzled her caretaker’s mane Crystal giggled at Luna and how sleepy she really was knowing the filly would deny being sleepy she said nothing

Luna and Crystal had arrived back at the castle just about ten minutes before Luna’s bedtime when they went to Luna’s room seeing the dark pastel blues and the little stars put in there suitable for any foal of Luna’s age her little bed with a dark blue sheet that had a silver crescent moon on it Luna climbed into her bed hearing the crinkle of a plastic sheet not even caring

“Alright Luna do you want me to read you a bedtime story?” Asked Crystal looking through the book shelf while Luna nodded as a response “Come on Luna can you say yes or no so that way i will know if you want one or not”

“Yes Cwystal i want a bedtime stowy pwease” Luna said with a big yawn earning a giggle from Crystal who pulled a book out levitating it and tucking Luna into bed

Crystal has finished the story hearing the sound of light snoring that was her sign that Luna had fallen asleep so she took that as her cue to leave the room plugging in the night light turning the real lights walking out of the room but leaving the door slightly cracked so if Luna woke up in the middle of the night for anything she would be able to open the door with no trouble at all Crystal having to learn that lesson the hard way remembering when she had closed the door all the way she also remember when she went to check on Luna that night she saw her sobbing on the floor insisting that both herself and Celestia hated her it tore Crystal apart inside

Luna had awoke that night with a small case of the munchies the filly pushed her door open trotting to the dining room seeing a cake on the table Luna’s mouth began to water at the sight of it the filly then pushed a chair to the table climbing in the chair just as she reached her little hoof out to grab some of the cake she hear somepony clear there throat making the filly jump in the air she turned around to see the pony who had startled her it was none other than her big sister Celestia

“and just what do you think you are doing little filly? Shouldent you be in bed?” Celestia asked with a smile and a giggle
“Sorry Tia but i woke up and was hungwy” Luna apologized making Celestia sigh

“Luna if you were hungry when why didn't you just come to me i could have made you a quick snack” Celestia stated “But that cake does look good so we will both have a very small slice” she said cutting them both a tiny piece witch Luna dug right in

“Thank yow Tia youw the bestest big sistew evew” Luna exclaimed hugging her older sister before going back to bed
