//-------------------------------------------------------// Ponies save a heart -by Conato- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Deaths in Equestria //-------------------------------------------------------// Deaths in Equestria Canterlot Castle The royal throne room was in an uproar as the local nobility was panicked about the deaths of several ponies they seemed to know. Celestia sat on her throne rubbing her head with a hoof. It was hard enough for her to work with the guards to find out what was going on. But now she had to deal with this. And what was even worse was that she knew that if they didn't quite down… "SILENCE!!!!!!!" An enraged Luna demanded in her Canterlot voice. "I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION TO WHY THOW INSISTS ON SUCH A RUKES!" Letting out a sigh of relief at the silence, Celestia gave her sister a thankful smile. "Ponies have gone missing. And bodies have been spotted around several towns." Luna blinked a few times before looking at her sister flatly. "You have to be kidding me." Letting out a deep sigh, Luna stood up straight. "Those are not things one jokes about sister. If what you say is true then there are several things that we must do before proceeding." "Such as?" "First I will need a hard drink. Second, only the ponies that were eyewitnesses should be allowed here, or at the leaststand to the side silently. And lastly… PUNISH WHOEVER THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO WAKE ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY WITH THERE SCREECHING VOICE!!!!!!" The ponies looked around before a mare with a blond beehive mane cut walked over. "I did princess. It's all because that peasant-" "Leave now." Luna demanded in an oddly calm tone. "Before I decide your punishment." The mare bowed and ran off as a maid came over with a pot of coffee. Taking the pot, Luna went and sat next to her sister. "Now what do we know about what happened?" She asked, taking a gulp from the pot. "Well?" "Several ponies across town have gone missing. The next time they're seen… well… they're dead." A stallion explained. "The only clue that anypony has to what happened are the gashes on their bodies." "Any connections between the victims?" Luna asked. "None that we know of princess. We suspect that some sinister force is behind this." He replied before muttering. "Probably a group of commoners." Sadly for him Luna had caught that and had her eyes locked on him. "I see. Then perhaps since the guards can't seem to find the culprit. I shall send for a group that is well versed in dealing with DARK forces." The stallion bowed in gratitude. "I am confident that whatever honorable team you gather will do a splendid job at-" "Guard!" Luna called, cutting his flank kissing off. "Send a letter to Ponyville and have Applejack and her friends come at once." The guard bowed and rushed off to see to the letter. "Applejack?" The stallion stammered. "The farm pony? How is a farmer going to-?" "Enough! I have made my decision. And I suggest you all return home or wherever your daily tasks would have you." She spat. Celestia by this time was finding it hard to keep a straight face. And only when the crowd dispersed allowed herself to burst out in laughter. "Oh sister. How I missed seeing you take control of such matters." "If it wasn't for my nightly duties. I feel that day court would benefit from my presents. If today is any implication." Luna sighed as she looked at the pot. "And it seems they annoyed me so much I didn't even get to enjoy my coffee." She sighed. "Then let us hope the girls come soon and can find the truth." With a shared nod they get up and start for the kitchen. "Let's get you a new cup of coffee." At another time, in another place One week ago, my world made first contact with a strange creature. They said, "I came on behalf of a dear friend of mine." He offered the government one of three favors. "Money, a cure, or even culture information." And to no one's surprise… they took money. In exchange he went on television and announced that one individual would be randomly selected to go to another word. "I have a special hat that will randomly generate a name. That individual will come with me to my world." He said, turning to a few of the others on screen. "Can you confirm that it's empty?" He asked. After each one that looked in nodded, he smiled and reached his… claw? Into the hat. He pulled out a card. "Oh look. Looks like I drew an interesting name." He said with a big toothy grin… with one big tooth. "Oh. And he lives nearby." He passed the card to a confused cop who looked at it in disbelief. It was with the cop's words, my heart dropped. "My son?" The creator just smiled and walked off screen soon after the cop did. His last words gave me hope. "Start packing kitty." I did my best to pack as quickly as possible. When my dad arrived I quickly hid my bags. I don't think I have to say it. But he wasn't happy. He stayed at my apartment under the claim of keeping me safe. But then one day there was a knock on the door. I walked over and opened the door and saw the strange figure from the TV. He gave me a large smile. "Hello my dear Cat. I heard it was your birthday today." He said, holding out a box. "I think the best gift would be to take you on an adventure." I smiled softly and took the box. "How did you know?" "After the show I went back to my world to get your place ready. And a friend told me to take that box to you… i… may have snuck a peek." He explained with a shrug as he walked in. The two of us took a seat on my couch as I opened the box revealing a birthday cake. My eyes grew wide at the sight. "How?..." "You'll find out that it's best not to ask that." He laughed. "Shall we have a slice before or after we leave?" "What about my brothers?" I asked. "Different timeline." He said, dismissively waving his claw. "But don't worry. I'll send them a slice and a note." Sighing, I shook my head and cut off two slices for my brothers before putting the cake back in the box. "Let's go." I sighed. In a flash of light, I found myself in a completely different place. However what I didn't know was that I wasn't the only one that had gone to this land. That I would learn later. Ponyville Five ponies stood and watched as a pink pony sat and stared at a house that had recently been built. "Pinkie? What are you doing?" A tan earth pony asked. "Y'all know Rainbow is training in the field. Right?" "I know." She replied. "I'm waiting for our new friend." "What if he doesn't show today?" A purple alicorn asked. "Of course he's coming, Twilight. He wants to meet us as much as we want to meet him." Pinkie cheered. "Is that why y'all brought them… are those… Pinkie?" "Yes Applejack?" "Are ya trying to hook him up with somepony? Or y'all just teaching him our customs?" Applejack asked, hoping that it was something less embarrassing than she feared. "Yeap." Was Pinkie's only response as a flash of light came from the house. The door swung open as Discord stepped out with a nervous smile. "We… have a bit of a problem." "What's the matter, Discord?" Twilight asked nervously. "He… didn't arrive with me." Discord replied. "I don't get it. We were passing through the dementenal rift. And… he vanished." "Where is he now?" "Somewhere in Equestria. But I can't find him. It's like he just vanished." He explained. "I know he made it. But…" He sighed. "Don't worry. We'll find him… maybe the princesses can help." Twilight reassured. Just then a guard rushed over with Rainbow Dash in tow. "Urgent message from princess Luna!" He called. "You girls are desperately requested to come to Canterlot to help with a chain of murders." The girls looked at each other and shared the same thought. With a nod they started off for the train station. Author's Note Paused a few stories for now. I'll continue them eventually. For now let's see what will happen with this story. Now. To decide on what hell they'll encounter. And who should meet the "killer". //-------------------------------------------------------// Blood on the water //-------------------------------------------------------// Blood on the water Rainbow stumbled through the alley as she tried to push anything she could to block the path of whatever it was that was chasing her in the darkness. "I swear. If I wasn't in so much pain, I'd kick your flank." She spat as she stumbled over a broken pipe, hitting her head on a rock. As she slowly blacked out she watched as its yellow slitted eyes got closer. The last thing she heard before darkness took her was a threatening growl coming from further down the alley. Twilight and her friends sat in the garden with Fluttershy as she held one of the animals. After hearing what she found out, there was little question about what was happening. But she still needed to know one more thing. "Fluttershy?" Twilight asked softly. "What are the chances somepony is controlling these animals?" Fluttershy gasped at the implications and held the bunny tighter. "Oh. I don't even want to think about something like that happening." She whimpered. Rather she wanted to or not. Fluttershy knew she needed to give it a great deal of thought. Looking back at what she learned about the attacks and her own knowledge about animals, there was no doubt in her mind. "Twilight… Please save those animals. They don't know what they're doing." "Wait!" Applejack gasped. "Are ya telling us that somepony is behind this?" Fluttershy nodded as Rarity turned to a nearby guard. "Look into the victims. And this time. Go as deep into their life as possible. There has to be a connection." Twilight put a hoof around Fluttershy. "It's ok Fluttershy. We'll find a way to help as many as we can." Several hours later, a guard came over with a nervous expression on his face. "I… have bad news." He gulped before pulling out a bloody blue feather. In a dark alley, a shadowy figure stood over a mare as a creature covered in smoke ravaged a unicorn mare. "Let's hope that you have a better chance than our last subject. But don't worry he won't eat you. That's what your husband is for." Turning he glared out the window. "Perhaps my associate will have luck with getting our prize specimen." He laughed before hearing a snap. Letting out a sigh he looked back at the mare. "Pitty. Looks like he still hasn't learned not to pull so much. Maybe your daughter will survive longer." He laughed before motioning for the thing to stop. "Let's get ready for tomorrow. Ditch the body at that fancy dress shop. See if we get any bites." Discord paced back and forth in his living room, rubbing his chin. "I don't get it…" Stopping for a moment and blinking. "Wow… so that's how it feels… anyway. Why did it happen? He should have appeared with me… unless…" glaring out the window he thought. "What is he up to?" Luna walked along one of the back streets of the town before spotting a blood covered creature that stood as tall as a normal pony. As they looked at each other it growled softly before slowly stepping back as it looked past her and vanished into the darkness. "What are you?" She asked before looking back at her guards as they rushed to her side. "We came as soon as we could. Rainbow has been taken." The guard announced. "What are your orders?" Luna looked back to where the thing was. "Keep up the good work. And pray that the elements can pull off another miracle." Author's Note Short chapter. Didn't want to spoil to much and show how chaotic the events are right now for everyone involved. But don't worry. Things will slow down as the story advances. //-------------------------------------------------------// The race for the truth //-------------------------------------------------------// The race for the truth As the sun ascended, Twilight and her friends started a desperate search for their friend around town. They asked several ponies about possible sightings, anything strange they noticed and even if they might know any of the victims. A few times they learned of ponies vanishing that have yet to reappear. Sitting at a table the girls tried to think about where they should look next. "Nopony has any information about what happened." Twilight sighed. "Any twitches Pinkie?" Pinkie sat and wobbled back and forth as she thought about it. "Nope. Nothing major." She replied. "Other than that one when Dash was attacked in the slums. Why?" The girls looked at her in shock. "Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Rarity asked. "We could've been looking there for information." "Don't be upset, Rarity. We did find useful information." Pinkie chimed. "Like what?" Fluttershy whimpered. "Like none of the victims lived around here." The girls plinked in shock as Twilight thought for a few moments. "Wait… she's right. None of the ponies we talked to knew any of them. None of the victims lived in this area. And the guards only asked the locals." Hearing this Applejack turned to a nearby guard. "Y'all catch that? Best get a list of the victims and spand out your search." The guard nodded and ran off to follow the new lead. "With that covered." Twilight sighed. "Let's look for Rainbow." "That won't be necessary." A familiar voice said flatly. "By tomorrow morning, we'll find her body." The girls turned to glare at the stallion as Applejack pulled Fluttershy close to comfort her. "Now you see why I wanted you girls to stay out of this. Let's hope no more of your friends go missing." "You don't know that for sure." Rarity countered. "She may have found something and was captured for it." "Then all we'd need to do is use a tracking spell to find her. Unless she's dead." He countered. "Or the feather is fake." Twilight rebutteled as she held the feather in her magic. "A very believable fake. But still a fake Dash feather." The stallion rubbed a hoof to his chin. "Interesting. Only a pony that saw her would be able to make such a believable fake. Any chances you know who saw her last?" "Just the guard." Pinkie replied. The stallion sat and thought. "Perhaps you should focus on talking to them then. Leave the search for your friend to me. If she's alive. Then I'll let you know and I promise. I will get her back." Twilight sighed and nodded. "What can we do for you?" "Let me find the beast." He replied. "You won't hurt them. Will you?" Fluttershy asked. "Them?... I mean no. I'll do what I can to catch them." Twilight glared at him for a moment before nodding. "Ok. We'll leave the hunt for the mind controlled animals to you." With a nod, the stallion set off to the slums to start his search. Once he was out of sight Pinkie grinned. "Ooooooo did you hear something Twilight?" "We have to beat him to Rainbow. And whatever it is he's hunting." She replied. With a nod, the girls split up again. Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity went to investigate the guards, as Twilight and Applejack went off to look for Rainbow and whatever the stallion was looking for. Several hours later, a dark figure stood in front of several cages with mares stuck in customs holes leaving their front ends out of the cage. "How are my little sluts doing?" He laughed. "Don't worry. You'll get a chance to rest." He moved over to one of the mare's and pulled a leaver on the cage that pushed her out of the hole, letting her flop on the ground motionless. "Of course. There's no promise that you'll leave alive." He rolled the mare to her side and pressed on her stomach, pushing a gallon of cum out of her. "If you're lucky. You can live as a breeding bitch." With a smile, he knelt down and grabbed her mane, dragging her to the corner and dropped her down a slope. "Looks like she was stronger than her mom." He turned to the other girls. "Let's see if any of you get to live another night." Several hours passed as a large figure slipped through the alleyways of the slums and gathered what little bit of food it could find. Every now and then slipping bits in place of food it took. Each time somepony got a glimpse of it, it'd hide and move something to replace it so none of the ponies knew what it was. A few times it'd make a face at fillies to make them laugh and distract the parents so it can snag some food or slip to the next street. Author's Note Quite a few things are happening. What will happen to the girls? And why is Pinkie so calm about her missing BPFFE? //-------------------------------------------------------// The plot thickens //-------------------------------------------------------// The plot thickens Twilight and Applejack sat at a rusty outdoor restaurant talking to a stallion who knew one of the victims. To be more exact, he knew the latest victim they saw. "Do ya think there's a connection between your friend and the other victims?" Applejack asked. "Other than they lived in the area or volunteered around here. None of them knew each other." He admitted. "The only thing I can think of is…" He paused and looked around before the three leaned in close to each other. "There has been some suspicious activity. Food vanishing, bits appearing in their place. And some new ponies slinking around eyeing the locals up." "Do you think there's a connection?" Twilight asked softly. "No doubt. But if you value your lives, stay inside at night and don't be alone." He sat up and sighed. "Heck. I'd say get out of the slums. Lovely mares like you two would be scooped up right away if whatever took the others knew you were around." The two friends nodded to each other and got up paying the table's tab. "Thank you. Order whatever you want. The castle will pay the bill." Twilight thanked, before quickly adding. "Just have the waiter tell the guard that princess Twilight will pay for it. They'll forward me the amount." After receiving a nod the two started back for the castle. "We ain't going straight back right?" Applejack asked. "No. I spotted a guard that was acting a bit off. I think we should tail him." She replied. "Heck. If it's one guard-" "It's also getting late. It's not that I don't trust your skills Applejack. But we have to be careful." The two followed the guard to a tombstone and calmly approached. "One of the victims?" Twilight asked. "My sister…" He replied. "She was the first…" He stood up straight and saluted her. "I won't stop till the guilty party is behind bars." The two mares smiled and nodded before heading back. "Princess! There is one more thing… I don't think your friend is in danger." They stopped and looked back at him. "What?" "I saw where she was attacked. It's difficult from the others… I think…" He paused for a moment before adding. "I think something else took her." After sunset in an unknown location Rainbow groaned as she slowly opened her eyes… and instantly regretted it as a headache reminded her of her condition. Placing a hoof in front of her face, she sighed at realizing one eye was covered. "Great. That'll make fighting my way out harder." She sighed as the world slowly came into focus. "Ok." She muttered. "Looks like a cave. Probably the east side of Canterlot… wings… badly wrapped. Whoever ponynapped me stinks at patching their hostages up…" looking around again she sighed. "And nothing but a rope around my neck is keeping me here. Is this person stupid or-" her ear twitched as she heard growling outside the cave. "Not a pony…" She thought as she quickly acted like she was asleep. After a few moments a feral looking winged… dog? Cat?... thing came into the cave with a basket of food. It set the basket to the side before carefully sniffing her. Much to her surprise, it didn't go near her flank. After a few sniffs, it returned to the basket and brought over an apple and dropped it on her head. Rainbow shot up and snapped at it. "What the fuck man. You trying to… give me a…" it then clicked as to why she still had the headache. "You… you've been trying to wake me up?" It nodded. "Why? Why aren't you trying to kill me?" She asked. Once it glared at her she quickly waved her hoof in self defense. "Ok. So you don't want to kill me…" She glanced at the food and the large bed she was on. "But I get the feeling. You're not letting me go either." She sighed and took the apple. "Well… we can work on your communication after dinner." She sighed as she made a mental note to find a way to get a message to her friends. Or at the least, luna. She carefully leaned over and took the apple as it brought over the basket and set it next to her before laying down behind her. She had to admit. For a bloody dangerous looking… whatever it was. It didn't seem interested in hurting her… Yet. After eating her fill Rainbow decided not to push her luck and lay back down to let her body recover. Pinkie, Rarity and Fluttershy sighed as they sat at the castle dining table as they went over scrolls of what the guards claimed they did when ponies vanished and were found dead. "Do you think it might be a noble?" Pinkie asked. "Don't be silly darling." Rarity chastised. "Why would a noble target sovillions?" Pinkie shrugged. "Maybe they didn't want to get caught doing something bad." "I think Pinkie is right." Fluttershy whimpered, much to Rarity's shock. "I don't want to say that it's a better option. But the guards' stories match up. If any of them were hiding anything…" Rarity sighed. "It's because they're being told to." She admitted. "And other than the princesses, the only ones that had the power to do so would be nobles." "Soooooo?" Pinkie asked. "What should we do?" "We don't have much of a choice." Rarity admitted. "Ask questions about suspicious activities." With a nod, the three agreed to split off in the morning and see if anypony noticed any strange activity. Author's Note I have yet to decide who the big bad mystery stallion gathering mares to have raped is. But fear not. A twist is coming. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Pony stats: Rainbow Dash: injured and hostage Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy:preparing to investigate nobles Twilight and Applejack: investigating slums Mystery stallion: planning something Investigator stallion: hunting something Princesses: confused as fuck on what to do //-------------------------------------------------------// Dark before the storm //-------------------------------------------------------// Dark before the storm The following morning another body was found. And with it, more questions. Above all was the condition and whereabouts of Rainbow Dash. Twilight and her friends sat at a table with her friends as she looked over the new stacks of reports. Her friends went back and forth as they talked about what they found. Or more importantly, What they did not find. "I told you not to interfere." The stallion snapped. "Why did you two go there?" "We were following a hunch. And a good thing too. Because we found new leads." Applejack retorted. "And what about looking into the guards?" He asked turning to the other mares a slightly less annoyed. "Did that have as much useful information?" "The guards are cleared of suspension." Rarity replied. "The only ones that seemed to be hiding something admitted that they only did so under orders." "I take it they aren't permitted to say anything under orders?" He asked. Seeing her nod, he sighed. "So. You suspect a noble?" He asked, closing his eyes in thought. "I see… that would make a lot of sense." He turned and looked at Twilight. "Any suspects you think would want to harm ponies?" Twilight sighed. "With the information we have about the attacks… Sadly none of the ponies you brought me information on matches any of the information we have." She turned to him and sighed. "Why didn't you include unicorns?" He huffed and sat back. "Because I didn't think of all the ponies in Canterlot, the noble unicorns would be involved." With a sigh, he pulled out a stack of papers from his saddlebag. "Luckily, I was able to get a copy before coming over." Twilight took the stack and looked them over. With a sigh, she looked at the group. "This is going to take a few days to figure out." Rainbow woke the following morning and at the feel of the thing licking her. "What are you doing?" She asked as she went to pull away. At the feel of it pull her pack onto the makeshift bed with a growl she huffed and let it continue licking her. It didn't take long after for her to realize that it was giving her a bath. At first she was cool with it considering that this was a better alternative to being covered in dirt till her friends found her. Or till her body got better. Her limit was reached as it started licking her lower half. "He'll no!" She snapped and kicked him away. "I don't care if you think that's being helpful. You are not going near there." It growled softly before huffing and moving to get yet another new basket from the corner of the room. Rainbow huffed and sat as she worked to fix her wrappings. Once the food was placed in front of her, Rainbow started to suspect that he was either trying to fatten her up or worm its way under her tail. "You're going to have to work a lot harder to get on my good side after kidnapping me." She huffed as she ate an apple. "That tongue bath was payment for the medical help. That's it." The thing turned and sat at the mouth of the cave. Did she just see it grumble? The dark stallion sighed as he sat with a mare who was changed up and milked like a cow. "Well. How is our favorite cow doing?" He laughed. "Don't worry. I have a special show prepared for you. A stallion that you mentioned took your daughter away. So sorry about her by the way." He turned and hit a switch that pulled back a curtain to reveal a gagged stallion hanging by his front hoofs. "My baby's need to eat. And I thought letting you enjoy seeing him suffer would be a nice treat." As he walked away, several dog-like shadows charged at the stallion. Within seconds his cries of fear turned to pain as they bit clawed and ripped into him. Some even pull off limbs and organs to eat at the side and in full view of the mare. The dark stallion watched in amusement before going to an orb. "Let's see who should be next…well… maybe a bit of culture is needed in this pack. And daddy is nice and plump… let's see how useful they really are." Author's Note The next few chapters will likely be a time-lapse between the different groups as they rush to accomplish their goals. Hope you enjoyed the grim view of how sick the dark stallion is. And please share with me your thoughts and hypothesis on what's going on. //-------------------------------------------------------// Search stalled //-------------------------------------------------------// Search stalled Twilight and her friends looked over the list of ponies and investigated each of them over the following days. It was true that each of the ponies had a rather believable story that had something or somepony that was able to vouch for them. Twilight sat on a bench with Rarity who sighed. They, yet again ran into a dead end. They were running out of options and out of time. If they didn't do something soon, it was likely that whatever the velin had planned would be ready to take their next step. It worried Twilight what all the victims were leading to. If only there was something she could do to connect the victims to somepony. She sighed at the idea that they had hit a dead end. Until a thought came to her. "What if there were two ponies behind this?" Twilight pondered. "What?" "Think about it." Twilight explained. "We already confirmed that a unicorn was behind this. And that they were using animals against their will. But what if they had a companion?" Rarity sighed. "That would put every unicorn we questioned back into the suspicion category. And we'd be back to square one. On top of that. We'll need to find evidence to suspect them." Twilight thought for a moment. "Then we need to look at this in another way. Where are they hiding the animals?" "Outside of town I would think." Rarity replied. "After all. With the number of animals that you said that were likely used in the attack. It would be rather hard to hide them in Canterlot if they had a place big enough to put them." Twilight blinked in realization. "What did you just say?" "They are likely hiding out of town?" "No… though that is possible." Twilight replied. "A place big enough to hide them." Rarity thought for a moment. "I can't really think of a place in town that would fit the bill." "I can. Two places in fact." Twilight sighed. "The crystal caves and the sewers." Rarity gagged. "I think it'd be best if I check the mines." "I'll see if Applejack wouldn't mind checking the sewers. Fluttershy and I will look into the areas around Canterlot." Twilight explained softly. Rarity got up and started for the castle as Twilight looked to town. "We'll find you Rainbow. I promise. We won't give up on you. So please. Don't give up on us." Applejack and Pinkie made their way down the halls of the castle as they talked with the guards about what they know about what's going on. "Can y'all believe this Pinkie?" Applejack sighed. "We've been doing this for a month and still no luck." "I know right?" Pinkie replied. "It's like the writer didn't want to come up with daily reasons for us finding dead bodies and no clues." "What?" "I'm just saying it makes sense for the passing of time so he can keep the readers interested…" Pinkie continued. "Pinkie. What are you talking about?" Applejack asked. Pinkie paused for a moment and blinked. "Talking about what, Applejack?" She giggled. "Come on. We need to keep up our search for Rainbow and the killer." Fluttershy sighed as she sat in the garden with the detective as he looked over some reports. "Why are you hunting the thing that took Rainbow so desperately?" She asked as she pet a bunny. "The dead bodies aren't a clue for you?" He replied with a huff. "I don't think the thing that took Rainbow is responsible for the… other ponies." Fluttershy countered. "It's something more important than a search for a killer. Isn't it?" She asked. The stallion fell silent for a few moments. "Would it really matter? The fact that your friend is missing is what matters. Right? Even if it's not the same culprit. We still need to find them. And save anypony we can." Author's Note A bit of a small chapter. But I hope it worked. For the most part. There's not much to say that wasn't mentioned in the chapter. So I'd like to ask what you guys think will happen? //-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow finds a clue and something more //-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow finds a clue and something more Rainbow sat and thought about what had been happening the past month. It was torture not being able to fly. But amazingly the creature seemed… kinda cool. Each day she found it harder and harder to be mad at him for what happened to her. She had to admit. It wasn't even his fault. And he was taking good care of her. After watching him for a few moments she smiled softly as her thoughts wandered. As she realized where her thoughts were going she turned and hit her head against the wall. "Dam it." She groaned. "Nope. Not thinking about that. I need to focus on getting back to the girls." She sighed and climbed into a makeshift tub he had set up for her and calmly sank into it. She wanted to look and smell nice when her friends saved her. "Or is it for him?" A little voice asked. Blinking, Rainbow looked at her shoulder and saw a mini her with spiked hair, bat wings, fangs and slitted eyes. "My shoulder bat? I haven't seen you for a while. Why are you here?" Bat Dash shrugged. "I've been on vacation. Plus you had Pinkie to take care of that." "Good point." Rainbow sighed. "She does tend to be a bad influence on me. But why are you here?" "To help you see what matters." She replied. "And right now. I can think of one thing that matters." "My friends?" "No. That big guy over there." She replied, turning Rainbow's head to face the mouth of the cave where the big guy was sitting. "Look at how lonely he is." "But what about your friends?" Rainbow looked at her right shoulder at the tiny her. "Ok… this is kinda weird." Mini Dash shrugged. "Call it what you want. But you need to remember that your friends need you." "So what? You expect her to fly off and tell them where she's been?" Bat Dash asked. "Why not? She is the Element of loyalty." "Yeah. Great idea." Bat Dash huffed. "With all the killing going on. Tell them about the guy that marenapped her. That totally won't make it look like he's a monster." "Well we can't stay here forever." Mini Dashed huffed, pointing at the pile of newspapers. "They need our help." "Yeah." Bat Dash huffed. "You'd think with an egghead and mis-eye for details they'd find something." Rainbow thought about that as the two continued. "She should go to them and help." "They'll find her eventually. She shouted just ditch the guy that's been taking care of her." Bat Dash countered. "She has a job to do." "She needs to heal." "He can fly her down." "She can tell Luna." All three blinked at the realization. It's true that with what has happened she hasn't been sleeping at night… but what if. Looking at the newspapers she ran back through everything she knew about what happened. "Why haven't they found a clue?" She muttered. The top paper had a picture of the most recent death in full detail. The two minis looked at it as Rainbow slumped down into the water. "You'd think Rarity would notice it with her eye for detail." Bat Dash mocked. Rainbow shot out of the water and quickly regretted it with a jolt of pain. "She would unless it wasn't there." Scooping up the paper she scanned the picture. "There's something the victims have in common." "Other than being slashed and mares?" Mini Dash pointed out. "Mares…" Rainbow repeated and looked at the hindlegs of the victim. "No cuts." Bat Dash huffed. As the thought dawned to the three they gagged as Rainbow dropped the paper. "Please don't tell me." "It can't be what we're thinking it is." Rainbow swallowed the lump in her throat and looked at the bed. "I think it is. And we need to tell Luna." "This is big." Mini replied. "We don't have time to chance missing her." "Well we can't risk them asking we're we've been." Bat Dash countered. "AJ would see right through us." "Then… we won't tell them." Bat Dash blinked. "I thought you were the good one." "I am. She can tell them she was safe and leave it at that. She won't be lying and he'll be safe." Mini Dash huffed with her hooves crossed. "So you want her to just leave the guy alone here after all he did for her?" Bat Dash asked, causing the two to look at him and sigh. "Not very loyal is it?" "I'll tell them in a letter." Rainbow sighed. "And if they need more information. Luna can find me in my sleep." "And what about him?" Bat Dash asked with a smirk as a corkboard appeared we're she put a mark showing the score. (Witch was surprisingly tied if anypony was wondering) "She can do something nice for him. Like sharing her food. Or tell him stories." Mini Dash suggested. "Done that. And before you suggest teaching him to talk. That's more Fluttershy's area." Bat Dash countered. Rainbow sighed and wrote the letter. "All I can really do right now… sit with him." Rolling it up she went to sit next to him. As she sat he inched away a little. "Can I ask you a favor? Can you deliver this to my friends?" She asked, holding out the scroll. "Just don't get caught. I… I don't want them to suspect you as the monster." It took the scroll and tucked it under it's wing. "Thanks…" She sighed and looked out over the land before looking down at the town. "Wow… I didn't know there was a cave over Canterlot." She blinked then huffed. "You'd think they'd have tried looking up here." The creature nudged her wing. With a chuckle she sighed. "I guess you have a point." Looking back at the town she sighed with a smile. "Looks like there's a few couples out tonight." Her ear twitched at the sound of what she thought was a whimper. Turning her head to it she quickly added. "Hay. Chin up. I'm sure there's another… whatever you are out there. All you need is a trim, a bath and maybe a new look. And I bet the ladies will be lining up for dates." It huffed and looked at the town. Stomping her hoof, Rainbow got up. "You never know till you try. I might not be as skilled with fur like my friends. But I can at least get you looking less like a puff ball. And smelling like a skunk died in your fur." It looked at her confused. "I'll make a deal. You deliver the letter and get me some clippers and soap. And I'll give you a…" She gagged at what she was going to say. She hated getting one. And now realized that suggesting one was just as revolting. "Makeover." It thought for a moment and huffed before looking away. "Fine. Then… then I'll…" Rainbow caught a whiff of him and realized why he hadn't sat directly facing her. Before she realized what she said, Rainbow blurted out. "I'll suck your dick too." She clamped her hooves over her mouth and glanced over to see Mini Dash looking slack jawed and Bat Dash hoof pumping. He glanced over and looked right at her skeptically. "You… you heard me… but first we need to take care of the fluff and smell. That is unless…" She blinked as it took off. "Buck." Author's Note ... didn't expect it to get this long. And had I not stopped when I did. It would have been longer. Let me know if you caught the references. And if I should do the minis in more chapters. Heck surprise me with what you'd like to see in this or my other stories. Can't wait to hear from you guys. No realy. I get maybe a few of you guys commenting. And none that down vote say why. Or what they think I should do different. How am I supposed to grow without feedback? //-------------------------------------------------------// Hope and dangers //-------------------------------------------------------// Hope and dangers The girls sat as they looked over their notes before Pinkie froze. Noticing their friend's sudden change of interest the others looked over at her in concern. Pinkie looked up with a look of concentration. "What is it, Pinkie?" Twilight asked. "Twitchy tail." Hearing this everypony in earshot dove for cover. And any that saw her tail or the others dive for cover did the same. That is all but Pinkie herself. "Pinkie! What are you doing? Didn't you say that a twitchy tail means that something is going to fall?" Rarity asked in shock. Pinkie nodded and smiled. "That's why I'm looking for it." She replied as she wobbled back and forth in her seat. "I can't wait to see what it will be." The girls looked at each other for a moment before slowly crawling out and looking up in time to see something fly past and within moments of Twilight taking notice… got slapped in the face with a scroll. Twilight groaned and picked up the scroll and unraveled it. "Wait." She gasped in shock as the others looked over. "It's from Rainbow! She's alive!" "What's it say?" Applejack asked. Twilight took a deep breath and read it out loud. Dear Friends: Don't worry. I'm safe. So don't worry about me. Focus on finding the killer. Speaking of which. I noticed something about those pictures. Something that should be there but isn't. If needed. Tell the princess to contact me in my dreams. Before I forget. Can you leave some Daring Doo book out unattended with some cider? Your friend RD The girls laughed as Applejack nodded. "If Dash is fine. I reckon we can leave a barrel of cider out for them." Twilight nodded. "And there are a few books that came out. I'll put them in a bag with the cider." "Then let's do it and clear the yard so her friend can pick them up and see if we can't find what she did." Rarity added. The girls nodded and after informing the guards to get the things and not let anypony to go into the yard, they went inside. Unaware that the messenger was watching from the shadows. Once the field was cleared he slipped out and sniffed the items they put out. Looking around it carefully took the barrel and bag before flying off. Fluttershy smiled as she looked out the window and turned back to join her friends as they passed the news to the princesses. Rainbow paced back and forth as she tried to think about ANYTHING but what she had promised. "I can't believe I said that. What was I thinking?" She groaned. Taking a deep breath she sighed. "Who am I kidding? If it meant letting them know I'm OK. I would have said anything." Mini Dash sat on her back thoughtfully. "Well… he did seem like he was happy to hear you're interested in doing that for him." "I thought you're supposed to be talking me into doing good things." She huffed looking back at the mini. "Why are you trying to talk me into doing something like that?" "You can always back out and leave the poor guy with blue balls." The mini pointed out. "Or you can kill two birds with one stone and lift your tail for the guy." Bat Dash laughed. "That would definitely get him to like you." "Or cause the poor guy to question if you're really ok." Mini pointed out. "If you really want to get close to him. You need to play it cool. And not rush things." "Good point." Rainbow sighed. Looking to the mouth of the cave she sighed. "It's just a blow job… right?" The mini flew over to Bat Dash and the two shared a look as Rainbow looked over to them hopefully. "Right?" The dark stallion made his way down the street as he looked around as if nothing was wrong. He calmly looked around at every possible target. "So many pathetic fools in this town." He laughed quietly. Looking around he considered who would be a good pick for breeding and who would be better for food. There were so many good looking choices. But he had to be careful on who he should pick. Then again. He can always arrange for one of those pesky mares to be 'attacked'. He smiled at the thought and looked at the castle. "Now that's an idea. I'll need to let my friend know… or maybe it'll be best to do this on my own." He laughed and made his way down the street. Author's Note A bit short. But this is leading to something. I promise. Thoughts? Ideas? //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparing for the reward? //-------------------------------------------------------// Preparing for the reward? Rainbow sat on the bed in thought. There wasn't any doubt that he'd be back soon. And she had to figure out a few things before he got back. Mostly, what she was going to do about her feelings and her cavemate. Her mini selves weren't being of much help either. "I don't even know why you two are even here. You're not helping me make up my mind like you claim you are supposed to do." "Isn't it obvious?" Bat Dash asked, reading a mini black book. "This is the first time you needed us for something like this. I hate doing this. But we need to read up on what to do." "Agreed." Mini Dash sighed, reading her white book. "It's not every day you have a real crush on a guy… come to think about it. You haven't even had a thing for a mare." "Yeah. I thought she'd hook up with AJ. Seeing how much time they spend together." Bat Dash laughed. "Will you two knock it off and give me some advice before he gets back? I need to find a way to communicate with him and avoid doing something I'll end up regretting." Rainbow groaned. The two smiled at each other before turning to her with smiles. "Like falling in love?" Unbeknownst to Rainbow or the minis, that was the moment that he arrived at the mouth of the cave. "What? No. How can I fall for a guy that smells like he never heard of soap? Or even a brush? Not that the wild look isn't cool. But there is such a thing as style." Rainbow snapped. "I'll keep my promise. But that's it." Thinking about what she said for a moment, the dog-like thing flew off to a nearby forest. Once there he quietly looked for a lake or river. As soon as one came in sight he found a spot to stash his cargo before approaching the water. "What is this I see? A stranger from the trees?" A voice said for his right. As he looked over, he saw a zebra approach. "Do not fret. I am no threat." She said as she approached. He growled softly before turning and slipping into the water. "May I ask, what is your task?" He growled again and started to lick his furry, and scratched at a few spots. The zebra smiled as she quickly understood. "I see what you need. I can help indead." Looking over at her his eyes narrowed. "Do not worry." She comforted. "I will be back in a hurry." She called before rushing off. He rolled his eyes and went back to grooming himself. After several minutes of waiting the zebra finally returned with a basket. "Some soup and soon you'll beam." She praised. Knowing he didn't have much of a choice he let out a sigh as she went to work. Rainbow decided to take a nap and hope she can clear her mind. Thankfully for her, Luna was already waiting for her with a soft smile. "With how hectic things are. I thought you could use a calm night's sleep." "Hey princess. You got my message." Rainbow cheered before giving her a hug. Returning the hug Luna laughed. "Of course I did. Your friends were worried about you. Do you want to talk about it?" "I… had to make a deal to get the message about what I found out about the crimes." Rainbow sighed. "And I… I'm worried…" "What deal?" Rainbow took a deep breath. "I made a deal to pleasure the guy that saved my life and…" "You fear that this deal may turn into something more?" Luna asked, focusing on the important part and not wanting to embarrass her by asking for details. "I thought you'd be more worried about me making the deal to begin with." Rainbow replied in shock. "I believe that you would do what is best. But you don't seem as confident." Luna sighed. "Do you have feelings for him? Or are you scared he doesn't feel the same?" "I don't know. There's no way I can. I don't have a way of communicating with him." Rainbow huffed. "I don't know what to do." Luna smiled softly. "Do not worry Rainbow. It has been my experience that if you truly love each other, before long you will not need to worry. Just trust in your heart. And the two of you will understand each other." "Thanks." Rainbow sighed. "Please don't tell the others." Luna smiled. "Fear not. Your secret is safe with me. Now, I believe it's time for you to go and see your stallion." Rainbow woke to find the minis smiling at her. "What?" "So. Were you dreaming of him?" Bat Dash asked bluntly. Rainbow huffed and looked away. "No." "Then why are you blushing?" Mini Dash teased. Rainbow thought for a moment and sighed before looking at the mouth of the cave and went slack jawed. The two minis blinked and looked over before mirroring her reaction. "Fuck… me." The three whispered in unison. Author's Note Looks like somepony is about to get really close to her new "friend". //-------------------------------------------------------// Plans change part 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Plans change part 1 Rainbow and her minis looked in shock as a winged stallion entered the cave. The biggest hint that it was her friend after getting a haircut was the barrel of cider he had on his back. The second was that instead of hoofs like a pony, he had paws. None of the three knew what to say about this new look. They half expected him to just fly under a waterfall or two before coming back. Not that they were complaining. But this was definitely unexpected. In a good way. He calmly set the barrel down and brought the saddle bag over and set it down so she could see the cover. Correction, covers. She didn't know how but he had not only brought the newest book in the series. But he had found limited edition issues of her favorite book. She didn't know if it was luck or he had hidden them away for his own… it didn't matter. This definitely deserved a reward. Biting her lip, Rainbow fought the growing thoughts and feelings she was having for him. And surprisingly it looked like he was doing the same. Being friends with Fluttershy and Applejack had taught her a few things about dogs. Including the most dangerous fact that they have a very powerful sense of smell. Which meant that there wasn't any chance for her to hide how hot he was making her. He sniffed the air and quickly turned away. Yeah. He knew. And she had to act fast. Getting up she made her way over to the barrel and looked at it thoughtfully for a moment before grinning. "Hay… big guy. This cider looks nice. But it would be hard to enjoy without something to drink it with. And someone to share it with." His ear twitched as he looked over his shoulder. After a moment he went out of the cave and came back with a tap, bowl and mug. Rainbow sat back and watched as he carefully inserted the tap before sliding the mug under it and stepping back. "Cute." She laughed. "But I think it'd be better if we use the bowl for now." Seeing him tilt his head she moved closer and licked his cheek. "I did promise a reward for delivering the letter. And the books and drink earned you a bonus. And if that book was a gift. Then how about giving me a kiss and showing me how you feel." After a moment. He licked her muzzle and neck. "Good puppy. Let's have a quick drink before I give you your rewards. Or do you want to celebrate our relationship with a drink?" He looked from her to the barrel before nuzzling her and knocking her onto her side. Laughing, Rainbow smiled up at him. "I'm all yours, big guy." She let out a soft moan as he started sniffing and licking her pussy. "I can't believe I'm doing this." She thought as he lapped hungerly. It was surprising how he was able to give her more pleasure with just licking than any stallion she was with before. And as soon as he pushed his tongue into her, she hit her first orgasum. A few licks later, he pulled away and licked his lips before moving around so his dick hovered over her. Licking her lip, she gave his tip a soft kiss. "Don't worry, big guy. I'll take good care of this for you. Just remember not to shove that knot in." She cooed before carefully pulling his tip into her mouth working a few inches of his dick. It didn't take him long to start working his hip and pump more of his dick into her in time with her movements. At the same time he went to work licking her tits. Meanwhile, Twilight and her friends sat in a private room and talked about their plan to catch the real killer. "From what I saw of the town there's only one way the killer is able to sneak around without growing suspicion about their movement. And that would be the sewers." Twilight sighed. The girls gagged at the thought of having to search it for him. "We sadly don't have any choice." Rarity sighed. "But we need to be smart about this. We can't just split up. They'll be able to pick us off one at a time." "Then we need to split up into groups. Rarity and Applejack can search the sewers together while Pinkie and Fluttershy look for clues about the creature the detective is looking for." Twilight offered. "Why us?" Rarity asked. "Because you have several spells that can help keep you two safe. And Applejack has the strength and self defense abilities needed for the job. Unless you want to go with Pinkie." Twilight countered. "I'm fine. So I take it you'll be going over things with the princesses?" Rarity sighed. "Yes. And hopefully we can make contact with Rainbow and be able to keep tabs on how she is. Maybe even find her." Twilight confirmed. With a nod the girls split off to prepare for their mission with Fluttershy going over to Twilight. "Twilight? I don't think we should focus on finding Rainbow." "Why do you say that? She can be in danger. And who knows what the thing that took her is going to her as we speak." Twilight countered. In the cave, Rainbow moaned hungrily over the dick that was slamming into her mouth as her legs did their best to hold him close and pull his muscles closer against her pussy. "Rainbow is a big girl, Twilight. Even with an injured wing, you know she can defend herself. Besides, I think he just wants to be a friend to her." Fluttershy protested. "That's it, big boy." Rainbow moaned, feeling his dick slide into her pussy. "Nice and easy. Don't want our fun to end too quickly." Twilight thought for a moment. "I guess you have a point. Besides, if they were willing to deliver her message. It can't be all that savage. Right?" "OH SWEET CELESTIA! Slow down. You might knot me at this rate. And I'm not ready to be a mother!" Rainbow shouted as her body held him as tight as ther quivering legs would allow. "I'm sure she can handle it." Fluttershy giggled. "Pegasus are surprisingly well-known for their influence over creatures of the sky. I'm sure she already has it under hoof." Rainbow moaned and panted as it moved her to all fours and started plowing into her again. "Buck. Can hardly think straight. There's no way any stallion can compare to you. Buck it. Do it. Make me your bitch." Twilight sighed and gave Fluttershy a hug. "You're right Fluttershy. When she's ready. Rainbow will come back and the detective can put the creature in a safe place. And once the murderer is caught. We can go home and forget this nightmare." "I will never forget how awesome being with this guy is." Rainbow thought as he slammed into her. Author's Note Yeap. It happened. Dash accepted how she feels. I wonder what her friends will think about this. Also. Who wants to bet things are only going to get even more messed up as they get closer to the truth? //-------------------------------------------------------// The plot thickens //-------------------------------------------------------// The plot thickens Rarity and Applejack search the sewers together while Pinkie and Fluttershy look for clues about the creature the detective is looking for." Twilight offered. Applejack and Rarity made their way through the maze that was the town sewers. To nopony's surprise, Rarity complained about the smell. At least until Applejack suggested using a scarf to mask some of the smell. "We've been looking through this place for hours, Applejack. Maybe we should call it a day and find a way out." Rarity moaned. Applejack rolled her eyes as she followed her friend. "Y'all realize that even if we were to stop our search now. We'd have to FIND an exit?" Her ear twitched causing her to stop and look down one of the tunnels for a moment before continuing. "Either way ya look at it, we have to keep moving." Rarity sighed. "You're right. Besides, we're doing this to stop a monster… With that said. Do we have any more snacks?" She asked. Several moments passed before Rarity stopped and gulped. "Applejack?" Looking back, Rarity saw Applejack laying on the ground, and a large shadow looming over her. Instantly Rarity readied a spell. "Step away from my friend, you monster." "I wouldn't do that if I was you." A voice called as a hooded stallion stepped out from behind it. "Not unless you want her to die." "That voice… I know you…" "Who would have imagined I'd find two of the elements of harmony or my nightly walk." The stallion laughed. "That laugh… it can't be…" "Why don't you be a good princess of fashion and sleep." He ordered. Before Rarity was able to say another word. She was hit by a magic blast that knocked her out. "Looks like our time here is almost up." He sighed, levitating them onto the creature. "Oh well. These two should be good till the heat dies down." With that he started making his way to his hideout. "Just have to pass the blame and we're out." Fluttershy sat at a bench in the castle garden as Celestia approached. "You seem to be in a good mood." She said, sitting next to the pegasus and followed her gaze to the sky. "Thinking about Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy closed her eyes and lowered her head. "A little. It's hard for me to imagine her being in danger. Even if it's not an animal. I think they'll be fine." Celestia blinked in shock for a moment before smiling calmly. Rainbow moaned softly with a smile as she rubbed her stomach. "Wow… that was amazing." She looked over at her new friend as her thoughts slowly cleared. Her smile faded at the look of concern on his face. As he looked away the memory of what they did returned. Her eyes widened in shock and horror as the implications hit. "Oh crap. Crap crap crap. What was I thinking? It was supposed to be a quick blow. Maybe a quick anal." It whimpered softly causing Rainbow to look over at him. "Oh. I didn't mean it like that. It was amazing. I'll admit it. I've never been with a guy before. And you showed me how amazing it is." She called, rolling to her stomach. "And i… I kinda lost myself in our… you know." He slowly moved closer and sniffed her. "I don't think it'd be a great idea to do that for a while." She paused for a moment before patting the ground next to her. "Besides. I'm pretty sure we'll have enough time for many more rounds." He gave her a happy lick before laying next to her and resting a wing on her back. Rainbow soon fell asleep, surprised at how tired she was even though she had just woken up. But considered it and the reason she wasn't hungry was do to what they had done earlier. Now she just had to think of where things were going for her, did she still have a future as a Wonderbolt, and how much of what happened and will likely happen in the cave she should tell her friends. And what was most terrifying… What will Luna think if she dreamed of being with him? Author's Note Considering what happens in this chapter. I kinda get a feeling that there should be a back story somewhere in there. But I think leaving it unknown for now would be fest. But hay. We do get some hints at what's going on. //-------------------------------------------------------// Dreams of hope //-------------------------------------------------------// Dreams of hope In the dream scape Rainbow sat at the mouth of the cave as she took a deep breath before looking out over the sea of clouds. She almost didn't notice Luna approaching as she watched a large figure fly itself a smaller one next to it. As she rubbed her belly. Luna spoke up. "I am glad to see you are well." Rainbow quickly moved her hoof to her leg. "Yeah… it's just… how are the girls?" "Last I heard, they are following a lead. And looking into a monster that an investigator is looking for." She replied, sitting next to Rainbow, she looked up at the shadows in the clouds. "From what was in your letter. I was under the impression that there was only one other with you." Rainbow laughed and rubbed the back of her neck. "Yeah. About that…" "No need to explain." Luna sighed with a smile. "I've seen enough dreams to know. No need to explain. That is the friend that picked up the supplies?" "Yeah… friend… right." Rainbow laughed nervously. Luna smiled softer at her. "I see. Fear not. I won't tell your friends. But I must ask. Are you sure that you wish to pursue a relationship with him?" Rainbow thought for a moment before rubbing her belly and smiling. "It's funny. The more I think about it. The more I feel like it's what I'm meant to do." "Oh?" "He needs me… and… I… I think… I need him too." She replied. "Then I shall do everything in my power to support the two of you and help any way I can." Luna announced. "Can you check on his dreams? I know something is bothering him. But communication is difficult." Luna sighed and hung her head. "I fear that is perhaps the only thing I am unable to do at the moment." "What do you mean?" Luna looked up to the clouds. "I… I can not enter his dreams. Somehow, he is keeping me out of his dreams." Her expression darkened. "And what concerns me more is the darkness I sensed within." Rainbow hung her head and sighed. "I wish there was something I can do to help." Luna smiled and wrapped a wing around her. "You already are helping. Ever since his door appeared in the hall of dreams, I've been keeping an eye on it." She explained having a small orb appear in front of them. "I placed a spell on it to keep track of the dream. And after you entered his life. I have sensed less darkness each night." Rainbow blinked and looked at the orb. "You mean…" "Yes. You are his strength. It is likely that if you were to give him as much hope as possible. It may cleans him from the darkness. If not, give me a chance to enter and rid him of the darkness that pleggs him." She explained. Rainbow smiled and looked up at the night sky. "Princess? Do you think… that the Wonderbolts would approve of us?" Luna thought for a moment. "That would depend on what laws Cloudsdale follows. But if they do have a problem. Then I expect that you inform me right away. If needed. I know a group that can use a new captain." Rainbow smiled at her and nodded. "Thank you." Pinkie bounced around a guard as Fluttershy sat back with a soft knowing smile. "She won't stop until you tell her what she wants to know." The gentle pegasus explained as her friend rambled about what perhaps was the eighth or twentieth thing sense they started talking. "I told you. I don't know anything." The guard huffed. "Now have her stop." Fluttershy sighed. "Pinkie said her twitch told her that you know something. And her twitch is never wrong. Besides, once she gets started. It's not a good idea to interfere." The guard bit his lip as Pinkie landed on his back and started talking about something involving a pickle shaped object and lotion. A cold sweat formed on the guard. "Please… I can't tell you… he'll punish me if I do." Fluttershy sighed and got up. "Ok. I'll go then." She smiled and turned away. "Have fun Pinkie!" She called as she started to leave. "Okey dokey lokey!" Pinkie called back. Realizing what was happening the guard looked at the two in fear. As Fluttershy went around the corner, Pinkie returned to her rambling on his back. The guard quickly reached out for Fluttershy. "WAIT!!!!!! COME BACK!!!!! DON'T LEAVE ME WITH HER!!!!!" In the cave, the creature paced back and forth. Each time it glanced at Rainbow's sleeping form, he smiled softly before quickly shaking his head and returning to his pacing. Grumbling to himself, he considered flying her back to the town. But one glance at the town, he sensed the things that attacked her before and reconsidered his opinion. Turning back he paced a bit more before grumbling and sitting at the mouth of the cave. After a few moments he got up and glared at a nearby cloud where a dark pony stood. Flying over he hovered a few feet away growling at the figure. "Fear not. I do not wish to harm you. Nore will I tell others where you hide." She said softly. "I am Princess Luna. Please, allow me to cast a spell to allow you to walk on clouds." He hovered for a moment before huffing softly. Smiling, she lit her horn and casted her spell. "I know you have Rainbow Dash hidden in your cave. And I thank you for protecting her." He glared at her and slowly paced back and forth keeping an eye on her. He didn't trust her. But her title and the fact that she didn't demand for him to surrender right away earned her a few minutes of his time at least. "As the princess of the night, it is my task to look after the dreams of all that sleep under the night sky." She explained softly. "And I know that something troubles you. I understand you do not trust me. But I hope that in time you can come to do so." She paused and sighed. "Maybe at that time I will be able to help free you of your nightmares." He stopped and looked at her wearily for a moment before turning away. If what she said was true. Then was it a good idea for him to trust her? Or would it be best to keep his dreams and thoughts secured from her influence. Then again, she did say she would help him. Letting out a huff he looked back over at her. "Fear not. I have no intention to force you into anything. In fact, I hope that by the time you come to fully trust me into your dreams. She will have freed you from your fears and worries." Luna informed with a smile. "Before I go. I have one request." "Here it comes." He thought. "Please work on communication with her. She is a good friend and wants to be there for you as much as she will need you." He sat and looked between her and the cave before she gave a bow and flew off. A few moments later he got up and moved to the edge of the cloud and watched as Luna flew to a tower of the castle. Now with at least one less thing he had to worry about, he flew back up to the cave. Now that he didn't have to worry about the nobles hating him for what he did, he now was free to worry about Rainbow and how she would react, and what would come from what they did. A small part of him even wondered if they would be able to do it again. Author's Note I just had to add a Pinkie being Pinkie moment. Hope you like it. Lol also a hint of what might be. //-------------------------------------------------------// E //-------------------------------------------------------// E As Twilight made her way down the street, she noticed a white stallion glaring at one of the manhole covers. Making her way over to him she cleared her throat. "I'm sorry to bother you. But I was wondering… what exactly are you doing?" "It's funny. Don't you think?" He replied, still glaring at the cover. "I beg your pardon. But what's funny?" "Time. No matter how many times you go to the same place or look at the same thing. There's always something different about it." He explained. Twilight thought on his words for a moment. "I guess it's because time moves forward. Things change over time." He finally lifted his head and smirked at her. "Always?" "What do you mean?" He tilted his head. "And here I thought YOU were the smart one." Sighing he shook his head. "Very well. What can never change no matter how time passes?" "A picture. But we already learned why and how the mares were killed." Twilight replied. "And that they were raped in the process." She paused at his blank smile. After a few moments she gasped. "We didn't learn that until after Rainbow disappeared." He nodded. "There you go. Now ask yourself. If something like that was overlooked in a picture…" "Then what have we missed on the body itself!" She gasped before looking around. "And the crime scenes…" After a moment she looked back at the stallion. "Thanks… what's your name?" He shrugged. "No problem…" Blinking, he gasped. "Or is it? Quickly tell me who's with Pinkie?" Twilight's eyes narrowed. "Why-" "No spoilers. Now who's with Pinkie?" He repeated. "Fluttershy. But I don't…" She paused as he sighed in relief. "Ok… what can you tell me?" Blinking he tapped a hoof to his chin. "Oh… right… that… let me think." He started wobbling his head from side to side before pulling out a crystal orb and started whispering to it. Noticing her confused look he glared at her. "What? You talk to your reflection. I talk to an orb. Same thing." He huffed before holding it to his ear. "Maybe so." Twilight countered. "But only a random pony like Pinkie would hold the object to her ear." He smiled and put the orb away. "Do you want the good news or bad news first? And about which friend?" "What do you mean?" "Bad news then. Applejack and Rarity are captured. Good news is they're alive. Bad news…" He tapped a hoof to his chin. "On second thought. I probably shouldn't say that…" "Tell me. Please. Any information you can give helps." Twilight begged. "Well… I can't confirm it yet. Too many splits and all… but… there's a chance… Rainbow may die. Or someone close to her." He admitted. "Any good news about her?" He smiled. "Yes. Right now she's just fine. So… there's some good news." Twilight gawked at him."That's it?" "Would you rather I lie and say everything will be fine?" He huffed before turning away to leave. "Look. My job is hard enough as is with that interloper messing things up." "I'm sorry. But I'm trying to save my friends and this town." Twilight sighed. "I can really use the help. And good news." Stopping, he looked back at her. After a moment he smiled. "Then might I suggest. Asking for HER help?" Twilight looked over and saw a familiar mare. "Mod?" Turning back, she was about to ask why, but saw nothing. Tapping a hoof to her chin she thought about what just happened before gasping in realization. Turning, she galloped over. "MOD WE NEED YOUR EXPERTISE!" Time passed as the figure paced down the line of cages. Stopping at one that held the earth pony he tilted his head. "Applejack was it? I wonder if you tasted like apples." He laughed as she glared back at him. "You should feel proud of yourself. You lasted longer than any other earth mare that came before you." Applejack huffed at him. Shaking his head the figure slumped against the cage. "Wondering why you can't contact your princess? It's simple really. I put a spell on you. See? Simple." He laughed. "No pony will find you. And after you've outlived your usefulness. You'll either die from heat failure. Or be too broken to come for revenge." "No happening." She spat. "It speaks. Well. I guess death was a stretch." He shrugged. "But I'm sure a few more days in the lineup will fix that mood of yours." "Where's Rarity?" "You mean the unicorn? Sorry. All the high class ones look alike to me." He sighed. "She's fine. Had to switch her to a tamer group after one went for her throat." Applejack blinked. "I thought you'd like that. What do you say we make a deal? I'll keep her alive and let her go free… when I get what I need from her. IF you run a little errands for me." Applejack gulped. "What do ya want?" "Nothing major. I managed to get one of your eggs thanks to one of my pets. But I still need… the blue one." He replied before slumping slightly. "You wouldn't believe how hard it was to even knick her." Applejack chuckled. "I believe it." "And that's why I need her… or some of her DNA and the yellow one." "Why do ya want my friends so bad?" "Come on… you know why." "...no…" "Yes…." Author's Note An interesting chapter with an interesting name. To tell the truth. I still don't fully get what's going on. But that's the fun of this. She paused for a moment to feel her belly and sighed. It was still early to tell if she was pregnant. But if her past few dreams were anything to go off of. She wasn't against the idea. Considering Luna knew where they were and the fact that she hadn't told anypony yet, she still had time to find out and to make sure she was having his kid. Blinking in realization of that last thought, Rainbow looked to the mouth of the cave then back at her caretaker. It surprised her that this was the longest she spent grounded and yet she couldn't be happier or think of anything she wanted more than to be with him. Taking a deep breath she repositioned himself so that he was able to wrap his foreleg around her. As he did, she gave him a gentle kiss on the neck before nuzzling into his embrace as she drifted off to sleep trying not to excite either of them in the process. Not that she would have minded. But she didn't want to wake him… just yet. In the dream scape Luna took a deep breath and sighed as she stepped into the hall of dreams having finished yet another nightmare. Blinking she noticed a ping to her magic that called her to a particular door. Rushing over she fought the urge to smile in excitement at the chance to help him and see how he felt about current events. And more importantly how he felt about Rainbow Dash. Sliding to a stop at his door, she took a moment to calm herself before entering the dream. Once inside her eyes widened at the sight of the Canterlot gardens. And more importantly, the group of ponies standing ready to attack someone. It didn't take much effort for her to figure out who it was. Nore was it hard to find him standing on the opposite side of the garden as the detective calmly approached him as Rainbow was being pulled away by her friends. No words had to be said. The look of fear of the detective on his face and heartbreak of Rainbow leaving him was all the information she needed. And far more than she wanted to see. "Enough!" She shouted as a burst of magic extended from her and vaporizing the area and leaving them in the garden. Taking a deep breath she approached him and gave him a calm smile. "Fear not. I shall not let your fears come true. And knowing her friends. They won't either." He blinked at her in shock and confusion. "This is a dream. You can speak if that is what you truly want." She sighed and hung her head. "I am sorry for not coming sooner. I may be able to enter any dream. But for reasons beyond my knowledge, I have had trouble entering yours till now." He hung his head for a moment before getting up and bowing to her. "Thank you." "I am happy to hear you say that. I must ask. Is there anything else you're afraid of?" He nodded and looked to the side. "Rainbow… I… can we?..." Luna smiled at how embarrassed he was about asking. It was rather sweet for someone so big and strong to be so timid. "Calm yourself." She said softly. "Fear not. You may ask me anything you wish. And if you fear that the two of you won't be allowed to be wed. Then know that I have seen stranger couples." Taking a deep breath he sighed. "Ok… do… do you think there's a chance we'd have a kid?" Luna blinked in shock at his question. Rubbing her chin she thought about it. "Well… you'd probably be the first couple I've seen pull it off." She commented before quickly adding. "But I don't see why you two wouldn't be able to. Are you scared of being a father? Or do you think she wouldn't want to stay with you if-" "No… I'm worried that… if she wanted one. We wouldn't be able to have one. Because I'm so different." He admitted. Luna thought for a moment and smiled as an idea came to her mind. "I shall look into this matter. In the meantime. Don't give up hope. And don't give up on her." With that said, Luna left the dream and woke in her room before levitating up a patch of white fur. "I shall see what the chances are for you to be parents." Twilight and Mod burst into the throne room and slid to a stop at the sight of a sad Pinkie and a pacing Celestia. "Oh no… what's wrong?" Twilight asked in fear. "Fluttershy has been taken." Pinkie cried. As soon as Mod turned to leave, Twilight caught her with her magic and levitated her over to Pinkie. "Before we go looking for her. We should focus on calming down." Mod nodded and hugged her sister as the princess looked over at Twilight. "We can really use some good news." "We have a lead." Twilight announced. "With your permission. I'd like to lead a team to get them and the other ponies back." "No." Celestia replied, stomping her hoof. "Whoever is doing this is clearly trying to get their hoofs on all of you. We can not risk you getting caught as well." "With all do respect princess. But with a good plan and some protective spells-" "They will likely have considered your magical abilities. And would have a way to counter your defenses." Celestia countered. "No Twilight. You and Pinkie will not be going." "Then who?" "We shall send a combination of our guards to ensure we catch the criminal." Luna announced as she came into the room. "Luna?" Twilight asked before noticing the white fur and blue feather in her magic. "I'm grateful for the help of your guard. But… what are you doing?" Luna thought for a moment before smiling. "I was hoping you can help me do a little test on this patch of fur and feather." "Isn't that… Rainbow's feather?" Celestia asked. "It is sister." Luna replied softly. "I wanted to see if there were any connections between a pegasus and the owner of the fur. This would require a lot of tests." Twilight's eyes lit up at the idea as Luna and Celestia shared a knowing smile. "Perhaps you will be able to find out, Twilight." Celestia suggested. Twilight nodded eagerly and took the feather and fur before bouncing off. "I take it there is a reason for the research." Luna glanced at the two earth ponies as they gave a silent Pinkie Promise. Nodding she turned to Celestia and smiled happily. "Do you still have those dresses Rarity made for us?" Author's Note He speaks. And it seems that Luna is getting a chance to play matchmaker. Lol but hay. Somepony other than Cadence needed a chance. And this does open the door for a lot of questions. As always, feel free to share your thoughts. //-------------------------------------------------------// What not to do around a pie //-------------------------------------------------------// What not to do around a pie The detective stopped one of the guards and started whispering to his unaware that a particular hot-headed sister was making her way down the street within earshot. "Have you heard anything yet?" The detective asked coldly. "No sir." The guard replied as he watched the mare stop and examine a shop selling rocks. "The only clue we have is there's a connection between it and the girls." The detective huffed in annoyance. "Damm. That doesn't leave many options. With the girls disappearing left and right. It's going to be impossible to get one to lure it here." The guard thought for a moment. "Word in the guard is that it has Rainbow Dash. Perhaps if you had something she wanted." "Like what? Her pet?" The detective laughed. "Or are you suggesting I find her coltfriend." "Pet sir." The guard replied. "No pony really thinks she likes stallions." The detective shrugged. "Fine. I think one of her friends mentioned it was brought to the castle. Get it and have the boys set up the trap." With that he started to leave. "Soon that brat will be mine." The mare grit her teeth at the news and nearly missed a voice from the other side of the counter. "You know. I find jade to be rather relaxing. Simply looking at it, the feel. And surprisingly sucking on them works wonders." "Whatever." She groaned as she looked back to see where the two stallions went. "I don't have any bits. So-" "I didn't ask for any." He countered. Blinking in shock she turned to see a white stallion smiling at her. "It's on the house. But you should probably hurry if you plan on saving the pet of your sister's friend." "How did you know?" He shrugged. "You're not that hard to read when it comes to these things." He replied, sliding the stone over to her. "And before you ask. Let's just say… I'm covering my bases." Winking, he got up and tossed a tophat onto his head. "I should get going. Three have vanished from sight and one is in danger." "What?" She asked. After a moment of looking at the rock she turned to face the guy and huffed at seeing nothing. "Great. Another one." Groaning, she took the stone and made her way to the castle. "First Pinkie now… whoever that was." Rarity groaned as she slowly got up after a much needed nap. The first thing she noticed was that she was in a cage. Second was the inhibitor on her horn. And finally was a soft and sadly familiar whimpering sound coming from outside her cage. "Please tell me it's not who I think it is." She thought as she slowly approached the bars of her cell. Looking around, she saw another cell nearby with Applejack looking at her with the same tired and fearful expression she had. It wasn't long before the voice of the stranger came from the shadows. "Looks like our friends are awake dear." He laughed. "Don't worry. You might not be able to hear them. But they can hear you very clearly." The whimpering voice said something too low for either Rarity or Applejack to hear, which caused the voice to laugh surprisingly softly. "Don't worry sweetheart. You may not have a choice in where you are. But I will give you a choice on what you'll do during your stay." It wasn't heard for either friend to guess who it was when there was a moment of silence before he spoke again. "It's simple. You can either be my little fuck toy. Or you take the dick of every animal that wants a turn and be a good mother." He paused for a moment before adding. "Oh. And if you pick one. Then one of your other three friends will take your place as the other." Rarity and Applejack hung their heads knowing what she'd pick. After all, she was amazing with animals. If anything, this may end up becoming a dream come true. And within moments their fear was proven true. As soon as they looked up, they saw a large dog-like shadow mounting her and within seconds she let out a scream of pain that was near instantly muzzled by something mounting her from the front. Both friends could do nothing but cry as they were forced to watch what was probably the nicest pony either of them ever knew being used as nothing more than a breeding mule. The figure's voice came from near the cage. "What do you girls think? Should the pink one take Honesty's place? Or maybe should the purple one take Generosity's place?" It laughed as it faded away leaving only the muffled cries of their friend as she was taken over and over by the unknown creatures as they took turns with her holes. Author's Note The title may have spoiled who the mare is. But what is happening in the secret location seems to be getting intense. I wonder what would happen when the guard arrives or do you think there's still a deeper secret laying in wait for our little ponies? //-------------------------------------------------------// Luna's deal //-------------------------------------------------------// Luna's deal Celestia and Luna sat in one of the planning rooms to go over what they should do in order to save their subjects. It wasn't going to be a simple task to accomplish. But they knew they had to do something. Knowing this they went over the plan with Mod. "If we're clever about it. We can strike under the cover of night." Luna suggested. "We would have to move quickly and have any possible exits covered before hoof." Celestia added. "And we also need to sweep the sewers for any possible allies our foe may have hiding in them." The two nod as Mod looks over the local map. "I can lead the team to sweep the sewers." "And I can lead the attack team." A new sharp voice declared from the door. Turning to face the newcomer, Mod spoke before the princesses were able to speak up. "Hello Limestone. That's a good idea." Celestia raised an eyebrow at Mods comment. "Are you sure she will be able to lead a mission this delicate?" Mod nodded. "She can do it. Limestone is a good leader and is good under pressure." Luna sighed and rolled her eyes at the pun. "I see no reason why she can't join the mission." Celestia thought for a moment before nodding. "She can join the raid team." Limestone nodded and turned to leave. "Good. Tell me when it's time." Celestia sighed. "Very well. I'll send a guard to fetch you when it's time." As the sisters returned to the map, a few moments later a night guard came in and went right up to Luna and whispered in her ear. Celestia quickly became confused before becoming concerned at the look on Luna's face. "Is something wrong sister?" She asked once the guard left. "Not at all, sister." Luna sighed before turning for the door. "Just… received some… unfavorable news. My apologies sister. But I must take care of a few things. I wish you luck on the rescue." Celestia sighed. "I do hope you will tell me what the news was soon. But till then. I trust you to handle it sister. Good luck." With a shared nod, Luna left and Celestia returned to planning for the mission. Rainbow Dash groaned as she slowly opened her eyes. As she started to remember where she was, a new sensation drew her attention. One that told her that she wasn't the only one that was awake. Nore was she the only one that liked the sleeping arrangement. Licking her lips, she carefully looked back at her sleeping lover. Her heart raced at the thought of him being her lover. Then again… maybe he can be something more… just if only she was able to get past the language barrier. Rainbow bit her lip feeling his dick rubbing between her legs. She really wanted it. But at the same time, she didn't want to get the wrong idea. She wondered how exactly she should… blinking, she smiled before quickly getting up and quickly turning around to lick his dick before her ear twitched. Huffing she moved to the edge of the cliff and looked out at the castle. "Princess?" She asked softly. "How are we…" "An ancient spell from before my sister and I found the Elements." Luna replied from her room. "It allows us to speak in private no matter how far apart we are." "That's kinda cool." "I have some… troubling news." Luna sighed. Rainbow gulped in concern. "What is it?" "I heard from the Wonderbolts about what we talked about." "You mean me being a Wonderbolt and getting pregnant? Or me being with him?" Rainbow asked nervously. "Both. It seems somepony pulled a few strings and made it so you would be refused." She hissed. It was clear she wasn't hiding her disgust about the matter. Taking a deep breath she continued. "Thankfully the captain agreed that you deserve a similar position if one was available." "So you mean?" "The offer still stands if you want. I have everything needed for it." Luna replied with a glimmer of hope in her voice. "Will I be able to stay in Ponyville?" Rainbow asked. "Yes… in fact. I may actually have an idea for your new position." Luna replied with a hint of excitement in her voice. "And it'll help me communicate with him?" "I promise." Luna replied. "Deal. The sooner the better." Rainbow nearly shouted in excitement. Luna thought for a moment before smiling as an idea came to her. "Very well. I can come perform the ritual right away. On one condition." "Name it." "I will bring one of your friends as a witness." Luna declared. Rainbow fell silent for a moment as she looked back into the cave. "I don't know… I thought we were keeping him a secret." "Fear not Rainbow Dash. I will only bring her on the condition that she keeps the secret. And if needed. I shall use a spell to prohibit her from speaking about him or where the two of you are." Luna comforted. Rainbow thought for a moment before nodding. "Ok. Just not Pinkie or Applejack. Those two aren't very good at keeping secrets when they're big like this." Luna bit her lip, glad that Rainbow wasn't able to see her. "Fear not child. I have a different pony in mind." "Then I'll see you soon." "I'll keep this spell up so that you may speak to him about it and let me know when you're ready." Said softly. "Ok." Rainbow replied before turning from the connection and going back to her lover and smiled at his blush. Turning away, she lifted her tail. "Come on big guy. Let's take care of both our morning needs." Smiling, he got up and came up behind her and started licking her needy pussy, before preparing to give her what they both wanted and needed. One thing both of them agreed was a good way to wake up. Author's Note The Pies have officially entered the hunt. And Luna may be getting Equestria's bet flyer for her guard. If not a soon to be pregnant one. Lol any thoughts? //-------------------------------------------------------// Deals and dread //-------------------------------------------------------// Deals and dread Luna sat at a small desk as she looked at the door of her private office. Soon after speaking to Rainbow Dash, she ordered one of the guards to fetch Twilight Sparkles. She didn't want to risk Pinkie Pie going with her current condition. And now she simply had to convince Twilight to keep the secret. Hanging her head, Luna had her doubts that Twilight would intentionally talk about what she knew. But there was still one other option. Her sister and Twilight herself would likely not like the option. Considering her options, Luna casted a spell on the room. Moments after the spell was casted, the room opened. "You called for me princess?" Twilight asked as she entered the room. As soon as Twilight was in the room, Luna used her magic to shut and lock the door. "Yes, Twilight. There is something I must speak to you about. But I must make sure that what we speak about and the events that come after are kept between those involved." "Of course princess. But-" "You must swear it." Luna snapped. "I cast a spell that will activate if you speak falsely or break your word. It will only activate if you swear to your word." Twilight blinked in shock before taking a deep breath. "I swear that I won't speak to anypony that's not involved about what you wish to speak to me about." Taking a deep breath Luna nods. "Then I have a few bits of good news to tell." She informs. "First is that Rainbow is safe." Twilight blinked in shock. "What?..." before she was able to go on a rant with numerous questions, Luna held up her hoof. "Second, is that she is being kept out of danger by someone who has grown… important to her." The more Twilight learns about how Twilight is doing, the more questions she had. "Third, she is willing to see you on the condition involving the spell I casted." Luna paused for a moment to let Twilight process what she said before continuing. "To be honest." She sighed. "The only bad news I have is that she has been rejected by the Wonderbolts. An outcome that will be tended to soon." Twilight sat as she went over all that she was told. After a few moments she takes a deep breath and smiled at Luna. "When can I see her." "Soon." Luna informed as she got up. "I must first see if they are ready. And Twilight…" "Yes princess?" "When we go see them. You must stay at my side and not say or do anything until I say you may." Luna ordered before sending a message through the spell she used before. It took a minute before she got a reply but once she did she smiled and turned to Twilight. "Come closer. To keep their location safe, I shall teleport us there." Twilight nodded and moved to her side. And in a flash they were gone. Mod and Limestone stood outside the hut ready to move as the guards got in position around the building. Turning to her sister, Limestone knew that Mod was holding back her emotions so they didn't lose this chance to save the hostages. And in a way, she was doing the same. Thankfully the princesses had agreed to let them be a part of the strike team. One of the guards stepped up next to them and spoke softly. "Be careful you two. We don't know what that freak has waiting for you. Leave most of the heavy work to the others and focus on finding survivors." The two nod before moving up to join the rest of the strike team. Limestone kicked the door in letting the guards charge into the room. After a few moments of looking around the guards glared at Mod for leading them to an empty hut. "Let's go men." One of the guards huffed. "There's nothing here." As the solar guards left, the night guard turned to Mod as she made her way to the back wall. Tapping it a few times she looked over at one of the few solar guards that had stayed. "There's a hidden staircase behind this wall." She explained flatly. "You should inform the princess about the actions of the other group when we get back." Limestone went up next to her sister and bucked the wall down, revealing a flight of stairs leading lower. "Forget them for now. We have a job to do." She huffed, before making her way down the stairs, quickly followed by Mod and the other guards. Once they arrived on the lower floor, they looked in shock at the sight before them. Some of the guards even moved back upstairs to rush out to the nearest bush and vomit before returning to the group. "Do we still need to keep him alive?" Mod asked flatly. Author's Note With the good, bad news comes. Who knows what will happen next. Feel free to voice your thoughts. //-------------------------------------------------------// Good and bad news is still news //-------------------------------------------------------// Good and bad news is still news Rainbow Dash sat just inside the cave as she took several deep breaths as she prepared herself for what was coming. She felt excited about joining the night guard. Considering she was rejected by the Wonderbolts. But she also felt nervous about introducing her friend to her mate. She looked over at the alcove where he was hidden from view. She didn't want to have him wait too long and make him worry. But she also wanted to make sure that her friend won't get the wrong idea or jump to conclusions. Not that they all would be wrong or anything. But she wanted to be the one to tell her about him and what may have happened… or at least will happen at some point. Taking a deep breath she turned as a flash announced the arrival of Luna and her friend. Taking a deep breath, she got up and turned to welcome them before looking in shock at who it was. "Twilight?!?!" "Rainbow. You're ok!" Twilight cheered and leapt to give her a hug before getting caught by Luna in her magic. "I see you are well Rainbow." Luna said softly as she set Twilight next to her. "Is he here?" "Resting in the back, princess." Rainbow replied, giving them both a quick hug. "Last I heard, you were severely injured." Twilight mentioned in concern. "I'd like to do a medical scan to see how well your healing is doing." Rainbow Dash blinked in shock before gulping and stepping back. "I don't know about doing that right now Twilight." She quickly looked around before motioning to the pile of food. "Why don't we have something to eat?" "Rainbow Dash. If I don't check your condition, you can end up with an infection, or a previously unknown fracture can get worse or-" Twilight countered before Luna cut her off with a hoof. "Or we can trust she has a good reason she doesn't want to have you scan her. And we should wait till she's ready to tell us." Luna sighed. Twilight sighed and looked at Rainbow in concern. "Ok. I'll wait till you're ready. But I hope when you are ready. You'll let me know." "Well…" Rainbow started before a loud yawn came from the back of the cave. Sighing she gave them a soft smile as she slowly stepped backwards. "I'll be just a minute." She said before zipping to where the sound came from. Twilight blinked in shock as she turned to see Luna smiling softly at the back of the cave. "Princess. I know you said that I shouldn't ask touchy questions. But I'm really concerned. The guards told me there was a lot of blood where she was attacked. And she was injured in flight, which means she can have multiple broken limbs." "I understand your concerns." Luna replied. "But you will see soon why it is important for her to be the one to explain what is happening." As if on cue, Rainbow came back out with a soft smile licking her lips. She was grateful that Twilight hadn't seen her, and even more so that Luna simply smiled at her knowingly. "So… you know about my friend that saved me and came to get the cider?..." She chuckled. "Well…" Twilight's eyes widened in shock as the dog-like creature came out and stood next to Rainbow Dash. Upon seeing Luna, it gave a graceful bow before turning to Twilight in suspicion. "Hi… I'm Twilight Sparkle. Rainbow Dash's friend. I'm grateful for your help taking care of her and keeping her safe." Twilight announced calmly. "I'll see what I can do to repay your kindness." He huffed and pulled Rainbow close with a wing, causing Twilight to blink in shock and confusion. Rainbow gave a nervous chuckle. "Yeah… he's a bit more than my savior…" "So you two are friends? That's great!" Twilight cheered. "More than that." Rainbow laughed before licking his chin. Twilight blinked and stumbled back in shock. After a moment to let it process she smiled. "I'm happy for you. But I do have a few questions." She glanced at Luna who nodded. She turned to face Rainbow and her lover. "I don't mean to pry… but… have you two… you know…" "Yes, Twilight. We fucked." Rainbow sighed, causing Twilight to blush. "But we did wait till we were confident about how we felt for each other." Twilight smiled softly and took a deep breath. "Then may I do the scan? I want to make sure your… love making hasn't put you in any unexpected danger. And if my theories are accurate." Rainbow nodded and Twilight lit her horn to start her scan over Rainbow's body. At first she felt content at finding nearly nothing wrong. She however decided to avoid doing a pregnancy scan until she finished the rest of the scan. Once she got to Rainbow's flank Twilight blinked at what she had found. In curiosity she mentally did some calculations before her eyes shot wide. "What is it?" Luna asked softly. "Rainbow? Do… Do you want me to put a pregnancy protection spell on you?" Twilight asked nervously. "Why would…" Rainbow asked for a moment before her eyes widened in shock at what she was saying. "Wait. You mean." "You're in heat. And if I'm not mistaken. There is a big chance that you'll get pregnant." Twilight confirmed. "It would be wise to do so." Luna suggested. "I understand you two may wish to have children soon. But you will need time to learn your new abilities and limits once the ceremony is complete." Rainbow Dash sighed and nodded. After a moment of Twilight doing a pregnancy scan, she switched to casting the spell which only took a few moments. No sooner did Twilight finish that Rainbow nodded to Luna who lit her horn and covered Rainbow in a black orb. Mod and Limestone carefully led the way through the room as they tried not to step on any of the remains. Between hale eaten stallion bodies and mares with bursted bellies and torn throats. It wasn't easy for anypony to take. Some of the guards that saw the room took the bodies outside to be properly put to rest after their cutie mark was put on record as being one of the victims. Mod stopped at a large door and looked back at the other guards. "There's movement inside." She announced before her sister kicked the door open revealing a large room with an orb floating over a pool of oddly purple ooze. Along both walls were mares both stuck to the wall in the strange ooze and posed in provocative positions covered in the ooze. The sisters looked in shock and confusion as they slowly made their way into the room. After about a few feet, a voice spoke from the orb. "Look what we have here. A group of clever ponies, who think they caught the big bad guy." The voice laughed. "Too bad I was one step ahead of you. But hay. I'll give you a little gift for getting so close." With that the ooze started to move. "Before you join the others, here's a glimpse of what you came to find." The orb flickered before revealing Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy drenched in cum and bloated bellies. All three of them looked like they had just finished being ravaged by whatever was keeping them company. Mod and Limestone had to fight back their anger as they watched. Surprisingly it was Fluttershy who looked the calmest. As the image faded, the voice returned. "You should be proud. They lasted longer than any other pony. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if one of them becomes pregnant before you get close to catching me again." The voice laughed as the door closed behind the group. "Not that you'll be leaving this place… alive." The voice paused as the ooze started to lift out of the pool and coat the ground as it inched close to them. "I'd like to introduce you to a special friend. Did you know that there was a time where other creatures walked this land? Well. They knew how to summon an ever-growing thing called Smooze. Once I found the spell, it didn't take long to change it to fit my needs. Anyway… enjoy." At that moment the ooze reached out for them and snatched the stallions pulling them into it kicking and screaming. Much to their dismay, as the ooze stopped inching closer to them, ponies made of slime came out of it and slowly made their way over to them. A few guards stepped in front of the two sisters ready to fight. One of the slime ponies shot a tendril into the chest of one guard stallion, tossing him into the ooze as one of the other ooze ponies snatched up a mare in tendrils and instantly stripped her before ravaging her. Another pulled one closer and mounted her as it dissolved her armor as it started to rape her in front of the others. Each pony that was tossed into the ooze came out as one of the growing ooze ponies. Unicorns tried using every spell they thought of to fight them off. However, the ooze ponies were unaffected. Mod looked over the door as Limestone scanned the room for another way out. "He did a good job at making this place a trap." She huffed. "But this stone does have weak spots." "Best make it quick. There's going to be more ooze than ponies soon." Limestone huffed as she watched guards move to try and block the growing army. "Let's hope these things have a limit in how far they can travel." After a moment, Mod turned around to face the ooze. "Good news. We can leave." She said kicking a hole in the door. "Bad news. They'll be able to follow us." Limestone added before following her sister out. Glancing back they saw several ooze ponies following them calmly. If they don't find a way to stop them, Equestria will be in trouble. Sadly that meant they'd also end up trapping the other ponies with them. Author's Note Time for the shit to hit the fan and for Dash to go through her big change. Thoughts? //-------------------------------------------------------// Within the dark //-------------------------------------------------------// Within the dark Rainbow Dash sighed and nodded. After a moment of Twilight doing a pregnancy scan, she switched to casting the spell which only took a few moments. No sooner did Twilight finish that Rainbow nodded to Luna who lit her horn and covered Rainbow in a black orb. Darkness. Darkness was all that Rainbow saw. Could, lonely, empty darkness. She shivered in a ball as she drifted in the void with her wings wrapped around herself. It wasn't long before she heard voices whispering to her. Promises of power. Of being with her lover. Promises of so many things that she desired. She felt herself slowly sink deeper with each promise the voices told her. She felt alone. For the first time in many years. She was alone. No friends. No lover. No one. She hated it. She hated being alone. She felt weak, useless, lame. She felt like she was back in flight school again. Slow, pathetic and a joke. The darkness promised to take that feeling away. To take away all the pain. It promised that she would never feel this way again. It felt wrong. But Rainbow couldn't help but to sink deeper. It was so tempting. Such an alluring idea. And yet… a part of her knew she wasn't alone. Her friends were waiting for her. The princess was looking over her. Her lover… no… her mate was with her. She had to get out of the darkness. She didn't know which way was out. But she had to keep fighting. "I am Rainbow Dash!" She shouted to the darkness. "The element of loyalty! And the fastest pegasus in Equestria!!!" Her wings shot open in defiance. The voices continued making promises. And even praised her for what she said and everything she had done. Adding more promises about her skills and future. It was becoming too much for her to fight. The darkness knew her too well. Even as one part of her reached out for help. She felt herself sink more. Just as she felt her strength fade, a different sound reached her. A soft, familiar and soothing tone. She turned toward the voices and reached out to it. The closer she got, the warmer she felt. She knew the song. She had heard it every night when she rested in the cave. It chased away her nightmares. It was the voice of her mate. Even as the darkness pulled harder on her, refusing to let her go without a fight. She knew she wasn't alone. He was still there. More importantly, he knew she needed him. She hadn't noticed it till now. But he had become her strength. With him, she felt strong, wanted, faster than ever, awesome. She grabbed hold of the voice, and felt it wrap around her as the song continued. Closing her eyes, she let the voice pull her closer. Slowly she felt the darkness slip away, but she knew her time in the darkness had changed her. However she didn't know how she changed. And feared how or when she would learn. But with her mate and friends at her side. She wasn't worried about how it'd turn out. Mod and Limestone made it outside and Limestone quickly ordered the unicorns to seal the building until they could undo what happened to the ponies inside. Mod on the other hoof simply went right past them to a teleportation circle the unicorns set up for the victims and stepped through. Once she appeared in Canterlot, Mod went up to one of the guards. "Princess. Now." She ordered in her normal yet somehow threatening tone. Gulping, the guard nodded and led her to where Celestia was waiting with Pinkie. Celestia looked over with a grateful smile that quickly turned to concern at seeing Mod was alone. "What happened?" She asked. Hearing the concern in her voice, Pinkie looked over. "Mod? Did you find them?" Pinkie asked. "It was a trap." Mod replied. "A unit was caught. Limestone and I almost didn't make it out." "Then we're back to square one." Celestia sighed. "Not quite. I did notice the carbonate sedimentary that lined the walls and the extrusive igneous floor. Likely built within the past hundred moons." Mod replied, causing Celestia's eyes to widen and Pinkie to gasp. "You mean you know where they are?" Pinkie asked cheerfully. "There's not many places that were built with that combination that would be a good place to hold ponies without outsiders hearing their screams for help." Mod replied before going over to the map. Celestia turned to the guard. "Send for our best mages and send them to the old hut to help deal with the problem! And contact the Wonderbolts. We may need their assistance with this. Make sure Spitfire knows what has happened and the threat they will face." With a confirming nod, the guard rushed off. Celestia turned back to the map ready for war. Author's Note Looks like Rainbow is dealing with more than what most may know. And the rescue party needs to put together a new plan. I wonder how dangerous things are really going to get. //-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbows and shadows //-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbows and shadows Pain was the first thing she felt when reality returned to her as she squeezed the large male next to her. She felt like screaming and passing out from the pain. But she really didn't want to return to that dark place. She didn't want to lose the soft embrace of her lover, the warmth and safety he provided. As more of her senses returned, she started noticing the relieved rambling of Twilight. And oddly enough, Luna collapsing in relief. Knowing they were there gave Rainbow the strength to pull away and smile up at her lover who gave her a loving kiss before they both looked over at the other two. "I am glad to see you passed the test Rainbow." Luna sighed. "It shames me to admit this. But even I fear passing such a trial." Rainbow nodded and hung her head. "I… I know why… it's because of…" "Yes." Luna confirmed knowingly. "And I pray this will be the last time it needs to be done for many moons." Rainbow nodded before pulling from her lover to stand on shaky legs. "How do I look?" "Your wings changed." Twilight pointed out. "They're… more streamline." "Your eyes and teeth have altered too. But those can be hidden easily." Luna added. "But the tufts won't be as easily hidden." Rainbow blinked in shock. "And a trim may help with the chest fluff." Rainbow's mate huffed at the idea. "I think I'll keep it." She laughed, giving him a teasing side eye. "But maybe a trip to… make it less of a mess would be fine." "Do you want to see if you can communicate with him?" Twilight asked. "What I want is to know how the search is going." Rainbow countered. Twilight quickly backed off and looked at Luna. "You did pass the trial. And shared your secret with us." Luna sighed. "The truth is…" "They got Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy." Twilight admitted. "We… don't know what to do." Rainbow thought for a moment before turning to her mate. "I know the bad pony is down there. But so are my friends. And they need me." "Bad pony?" Twilight pondered. Luna stepped forward and lit her horn for a moment. "You two have bonded deeper than expected…" She noted before looking him in the eyes. "My promise still stands. If you wish to help, or even accompany her at the castle. Then you will be safe." Her eyes narrowed. "And if you let us. Then we shall see that this pony is brought to justice." He looked between them before scooping Rainbow onto his back and moving to the mouth of the cave. "Looks like we have our ace." Twilight cheered moving to their side as Luna moved to their other side. "Perhaps it's best we teleport to the castle this time." She suggested. After receiving a nod, she lit her horn and the group vanished in a flash. Moments passed before the group reappeared in the castle throne room where Twilight helped Rainbow down as Luna motioned for a guard to come over. "Inform my sister that Rainbow and her savior have arrived." She instructed, scanning the room. "And inform the guards he is on our side." "Yes princess." The guard replied. As he was about to turn away, he stopped and moved closer to her whispering. "Is something the matter?" "Just… I am starting to wonder a few things…" She replied in a soft toan. "Have you seen the detective?" The guard pulled back and nodded. "He believes he knows how to capture the thing he was after." He paused and looked over at the others that were there. "Oh…. Ummmm…. I'll just… go get your sister now…" "And do fetch the detective. In chains if necessary." Luna instructed. Nodding, the guard fled the room. Fluttershy panted for air as she looked around at her friends. She felt relieved to see they were still breathing. But quickly became concerned when she saw that it looked like they were on the verge of breaking. Looking around, she desperately looked for some way she was able to help. However, she hadn't seen anything that would tell her where they were or any animals that she could have send a message. It was horrible. There wasn't many options for her. Admittedly, she felt like she was close to breaking… even though she had never done anything like she had since she was captured. She felt like her body was quickly adjusting to the different sizes. She doubted her friends were having such luck. And with that in mind. There was one thing she could think of to help her friends. "Mister shadow pony? I'd like to make a deal with you." She called, causing her friends to look in shock before being covered in shadows. "Oh?" The stranger's voice called. "I… I want you to go easier on my friends. I'll take a portion of their work." She replied. He laughed as his glowing eyes appeared in front of her. "Oh? And what's stopping me from simply upping your cut regardless?" "Please. I'll do anything." "Anything?" He hummed as a few ideas passed through his mind. "Well… how about you take a special mark that'll make you a horny slut?" Fluttershy gasped before biting her lips for a moment before closing her eyes and sighing. "Then… you promise to go easy on them?" "I'll cut their work load in half. I may even limit their customers… if you can tell me how to get more of your friends." It laughed as Fluttershy sighed. Feeling the magic taking hold, she nodded slowly. "Yes…. Master…" Author's Note Well... Dash is part bat. And it looks like Fluttershy is falling to the darkness. Oh and the detective should watch his step. //-------------------------------------------------------// Truth of the hunt //-------------------------------------------------------// Truth of the hunt The trio agreed that Rainbow and her mate would hide behind in a bush as Luna and Twilight sat and waited for the others to arrive. Much to their delight, Celestia arrived first with the Pie sisters arrived first. "I do hope this isn't some kind of joke sister. Our… friends can't take much more bad news." Celestia warned. "Have faith sister. More than one truth will be revealed." Luna replied as her eyes narrowed. "You should know that nothing can hide in the dark from me for long." Celestia smiled and motioned for the girls to join Twilight before sitting at the other side of her sister as she noticed the sudden increase in guards. Even though she didn't know what was going on. She knew that Luna was as finished with the deceptions as she was. After a few minutes a guard arrived with the detective. "Is there something wrong, princess? I have a hunt to get back to." "Your hunt may come to an end soon DETECTIVE." Luna informed, trying to hide her disgust. "But before we indulge the information on what we have learned. You must tell us what your plans are for it. And why it is so important to you." "I plan on returning it to where it belongs." He replied calmly. "Though I don't see why it should matter what becomes of the beast once it-" Luna stomped her hoof silencing him. "YOU WILL NOT LIE TO MY COLT! NOR SHALL YOU HIDE YOUR INTENTIONS!" She ordered in her Canterlot voice. Taking a step back in shock, he gulped. "I… I swear princess. I only wish to rid this land of the beast." Celestia put her hoof on Luna's shoulder before taking the lead. "As you can imagine. We are in the middle of very stressful times. And while I do not wish to rely on the old… painful ways of getting the truth from others. My sister has yet to consider our newer ways as being more effective." She paused and narrowed her eyes at him. "Especially with those willingly hiding the truth from us." The guards slowly closed in around him as Twilight stepped forward. "I have studied the spell I believe the princess is speaking of. And with her permission. I can cast it. Only if you are willing to surrender now. Otherwise Luna will likely be more forceful." He thought for a moment before huffing. "I have nothing to hide. Go ahead. You'll see I'm telling the truth." Twilight sighed and shook her head before casting the spell. Within his mind, Twilight looked around and focused on what she was looking for. As she expected, she saw exactly what he said. The detective walking a feral beast with blood on his muzzle and paws away from the castle. Had she not met him herself or even gotten the letter from Rainbow. Lighting her horn, she casted the spell she learned to strip away the mental lie. As soon as she did. Her eyes widened in shock at seeing him stand over a wrung pup, striking him with a whip. By the time she released the spell, she let out an involuntary burst of magic, pinning him to a pillar as magic radiated from her like tendrils of fire. "Creature…" She heaved, slamming him into the pillar. "Beast…" another slam. "Monster…" another slam, this time causing him to spit out blood as an indention of his body was formed in the pillar. "The only monster I see here is you…" She pulled him back again ready to slam him into the wall again. Just before she did however, Rainbow and her mate lept out of hiding and landed with Rainbow between them locking eyes with her. "Enough." She said flatly as her mate nudged Twilight before moving over to the detective and slowly lowered him to a guard who looked on in shock. Twilight stood there as tears flowed from her eyes. "His… own… son…" She heaved, fighting the urge to toss Rainbow out of her way. "His… own… son…" "What are you waiting for?" Celestia snapped. "Get that stallion to the infirmary and keep him under constant surveillance till further notice!" Luna went over next to Twilight and touched horns as she tried helping her deal with the emotional flood she unleashed. Rainbow looked over at her friends as her mate joined her. She smiled and stood proudly at the shocked faces. "Sorry for taking so long. If I was able to heal faster. I wold have been back sooner." Within seconds of her saying that, Pinkie tackled her into a hug as the three shared a long awaited reunion. A few moments passed and as Rainbow's mate was about to leave, Pinkie pulled him in to join them. Celestia sat back and watched. Even with time running short. She felt like this was the much needed break they needed to remind them why they needed to do this. And to help cheer everyone up a little. Questions she had about what she saw can wait a little bit longer. Fluttershy lay crying in her cage as the shadowy pony sat close by. "Now now my pet. You should be happy. With what you told me. You'll be reunited with your other friends soon." Tapping his chin he pondered outloud. "Though I wonder what kind of offer I can make to the others for their loyalty." "Please… you promised." She whimpered. "I did. And they have already come a long way on their day's task." He replied. "That actually gives me an idea. A little pony told me they have sisters." Fluttershy gasped in shock at the suggestion. "Perhaps I can make a deal with them after all." "Please! Not them!" Fluttershy cried. "Please master." She begged, unable to call her anything that didn't refer to him as her owner. "Please." "Nope. In fact… I think two are already on their way… and… a third trying to…" a toothy grin formed in the shadows. "This will be interesting." Author's Note I'm considering pausing this story for a bit. I have a few ideas of what might happen. Including a bit of a look at one of the shadow figure's partners. And maybe an escape attempt? //-------------------------------------------------------// Threats to the family //-------------------------------------------------------// Threats to the family As the girls talked and laughed about Rainbow's new look and her mate, the detective sat in the cell and grumbled about being arrested when he was so close. He didn't know why his partner was taking so long to come to his aid. But his concern would be short-lived as a pair of glowing eyes appeared in the shadows of his cell. “Where were you? I could have used your help out there.” The detective huffed. “I had a few… ponies to prepare for.” The shadow replied. “Besides. I only promised that you'd be reconnected with him.” It laughed. “Now it's time to pay your debt.” The detective blinked in shock before stumbling back in shock. “What do you mean?” “I need your body to get the other elements to take action.” It laughed as the shadows surrounded him blocking his view from anyone else. Rarity glared at the shadow pony as he stood over her. “While my magic prepares the next part of my plan. I'll give you a choice. Give up your element and power. Or your sister will get her cutie mark as a slut.” Rarity huffed and glared at him. “How dare you demand such things from me.” “Oh? Is that because you know the outcome?” He laughed. “Face it. Either choice you decide, I will have your element. The only question is… will your gift or sister be a part of the deal?” Rarity collapsed and started to cry as the shadow turned away laughing, deciding to give her time to think it over while he prepared the other parts of his plan. With a smile the shadow went over to Applejack's cage and smiled at her twitching body. “I wonder. have you reached the point where you'll do anything I say for more dick? Or do you think there'd be a chance to get away?” “I… Haven't… given up… yet…” Applejack panted. “Oh? How about this then? Hand over your element, or your little sister will take your place as a breeder.” He laughed. “You wouldn't dare.” He laughed and shrugged. “Well… I can be convinced to keep the boys off her. If you swear on your element to obey my every command.” Applejack hung her head as she thought about what to do. Looking up at him she bit her lips as another male got into position. She had a feeling that she was going to break any minute now. And the only way she will be able to protect her sister, was to obey him. The stallion turned to the front door with a smile. “Good girls. And very soon, your sisters will arrive and you'll be able to take part in one of two big plans.” He laughed. Back in the dungeon, a white stallion made his way down the hall as the guards simply stood there like nothing happened. He stopped and looked closely at one of the guards sniffing his breath for a moment. “Dragon fruit…” he mused before turning to the cells. “I see…” After a few moments, he arrived at the cell he was looking for and sat and glared at the wall of shadow. “You came…” it hissed. “Yes. And I'll give you one warning. Stop.” The Detective's head poked out of the shadows with ink like smoke flowing from every hole. “Oh? What would you do if I don't?” Taking a deep breath the white stallion stood with his eyes closed for a moment. The moment his eyes opened, the detective froze And hid back in the smoke. “next time… I won't be so gentle.” The detective gulped as he pulled back into the shadows. “We'll see if these ponies actually need your interference. Or will you break your own rules to stop me?” The stallion huffed and turned away and made his way down the hall. A guard standing in the prison sighed as he watched the only door out before glancing in on the detective before spitting at him and turning away. “Maybe the princess will be cool with me kicking his flank a bit.” He paused and rubbed his chin. “or maybe letting the guys blow off some steam would be good… probably hard watching those flanks all day without some kind of relief.” He glanced back into the cell and froze in shock at seeing a ball of black smoke. “What the hell? Where'd that come from? I thought magic didn't work in there!” He frantically looked around for an answer and when he looked back in the cell… it was empty. With that, the guard fled as he shouted the cell was haunted. In Ponyville, Scootaloo, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle sat in the park as Diamond Tiara smiled at them with demented intent as some colts with blank eyes surrounded the trio. “I tried telling you countless times how things work.” Diamond sighed. “And now with the help of my mother's new friend. I have the power to put you in your proper place and show you your true purpose.” She raised a hoof and waved to the others, motioning for them to start. Without hesitating, the colts charged at the CMC leaving little doubt about their intentions. Scootaloo jumped into a defensive position between the colts and her friends and snarled at them. “Don't even think about it.” She snapped. Diamond laughed and turned to leave. “I'll be back later when the boys are done with you.” She laughed before stopping as her eyes glazed over for a moment before frowning and turning back to them. “On second thought. You guys can play with them on the road. We have to get them packed up and on the road.” The girl's eyes widened in shock and fear as black smoke started seeping out of the colt's body. One hour earlier, Spitfire passed out orders to the members of the Wonderbolts before turning to Soren and Flash Sentry. “Sorry for calling you away from your work, Flash.” “It's ok Mam. If it involves Twilight and her friends, I'm sure Shining will be fine with it.” He replied with a salute. Spitfire took a deep breath and sighed. “Sadly it does. Several of the elements have gone missing. And I have a feeling their families in Ponyville will be the next targets. So the three of us are going there and protect them.” “MAM!” The two stallions confirmed before the three took off. Author's Note Something tells me that white stallion has some big time secrets. //-------------------------------------------------------// Hope and darkness //-------------------------------------------------------// Hope and darkness Spitfire led her team to Ponyville where they instantly split off to find the CMC. As fate would have it, Flash was the first to see the girls. Quickly releasing a “bolt ball” behind him, he quickly kicked it into the air and dove to save the girls. Down the street on opposite sides of town, the other members of the team looked over as the ball went off making the teams logo appear over where Flash was and quickly shot to the location. Startled by the flash, Diamond huffed and turned to see Sweetie and Applebloom backed into a corner as Scootaloo was forced away from them showing clear signs of being exhausted and was visibly weak enough for her to do her job. “Just take care of the other two.” She ordered. “The master is going to want her… unspoiled.” She laughed as black tendrils reached out at the pegasus who looked in shock before turning her attention up to Flash. Her mind worked fast enough to make her idle and teacher proud. Plucking one of her feathers, she spat it over to Sweetie before calling to Flash to save them. As the tendrils pulled her into the shadows, she added for him to get them to Twilight. Flash, Soren and Spitfire snarled in rage as they watched Diamond vanish into the shadows. Flash snatched up Sweetie Belle as Soren grabbed Applebloom. Spitfire landed and ordered the boys to sit. Soren and Flash knew she'd be fine and made their way to Canterlot. Twilight sat in the planning room with the princess and Rainbow Dash who was looking out the window at her mate who was sitting with Pinkie and her sister. “You sure you're OK Dash?” Twilight asked softly. After a moment, Rainbow turned and smiled at her friend. “Yeah. Just checking in with Cat.” Twilight tilted her head as the princess looked at her in equal confusion. “Who's Cat?” Rainbow moved to the table and rubbed the back of her neck. “Oh… that's his name. My mate that is.” “How are you?...” Luna asked for a moment before realizing it. “You mean the two of you can speak telepathically?” Rainbow blinked and turned to Twilight. “She's asking if you can talk to him with your thoughts.” Twilight explained. Rainbow thought for a moment before nodding. “Yeah. I guess I can.” She laughed nervously before blushing. “He's rather…” She bit her lip for a moment before continuing. “Supportive.” Luna covered her mouth with a hoof, understanding what she meant as Twilight and Celestia took her words at face value. “I'm sure you two will be able to support each other plenty.” Luna giggled before turning to the others. “Now let's go over our plan to find the girls.” Twilight sighed and looked at the notes she took. “From what I can tell… he's likely hiding out in the capital somewhere.” Celestia looked over a map of the area. “We've already looked all over the area. And the trail ends in the sewers.” Twilight thought for a moment before a look of terror crossed her face. “Not everywhere.” It took Celestia a moment to realize where her student was talking about before a look of fear crossed her own face. Without a word, she quickly left the room calling for every available guard to come to the throne room. Luna looked at Twilight in confusion as Rainbow looked over the notes and map, she relayed the information to Cat who was talking with the Pie sisters. After a moment her eyes widened as she understood what Twilight and Celestia were worried about. Luna turned to Rainbow Dash as she started to get annoyed about being left out of the loop. “Mind filling me in?” “Crystal mines.” Was all Rainbow said as Luna's eyes widened in fear. The detective moaned as he stumbled out of the shadows and turned to the dark figure that smiled at him. “What's the plan now master?” The dark figure turned as a mare with an upturned nose approached. “Now? We prepare to welcome another breeder. After all, these three won't be very talkative soon.” He laughed. The mare sat and rubbed her belly with a soft smile. “Too bad my useless husband isn't around to see my new baby.” She sighed before turning to the dark figure. “at least I have you, my daughter and future grandchildren.” The figure smiled as he lifted her chin with a hoof. “Yes. Soon you and many mares will be proud mothers to my children.” He laughed. “Don't worry. Your daughter will stand at my side as promised.” Spoiled smiled at him for a moment before a look of fear crossed her face at his smile. “What about me?” She asked. “My position?” He laughed. “In MY kingdom. Your precious title will mean nothing. You will only survive to be nothing but breeders.” He replied as shadows grabbed her and pulled her into a cell. “After all. A deal is a deal.” He laughed. Author's Note With how things are looking, there's a chance that things will only get worse before the team can have a chance at saving the day. Thoughts? //-------------------------------------------------------// The first encounter //-------------------------------------------------------// The first encounter As Twilight and her friends arrive in Canterlot, the first thing they notice are the guards standing at the ready for anything that might try and sneak past. "Ummm… can any of you help us?" Twilight asked as a guard stepped back to stand next to them. "We've been waiting for you princess." The guard replied. "We can take you and your friends to the last attack location if you want." "Ummm… would it be ok if I talk to the witnesses?" Fluttershy squeaked. "I'll get some rest before doing a look around town tonight." Rainbow announced. "Very well. The witnesses are at the castle. It'll be easier if you rest here so you can get moving sooner." The guard announced. He gave a quick nod to the other guards before leading Twilight and her friends down the street. As Rainbow went over to a mat for a nap, Fluttershy flew to the castle. Twilight and her remaining friends went with the guard to the most recent attack location. As they got close to the guards that were keeping an eye on the sight, they were introduced to a unicorn who was looking over the bloody sight. "Ummm… who are you?" Twilight asked. The stallion turned and glared at the guard. "I told you to keep suvilions away from the crime scene! What are you good for if you can't even follow a simple instruction?!" "This is-" "I don't care who it is. Get them out of here." He snapped. "She's Princess Twilight Sparkle." The guard groaned. "And Princess Luna requested her to investigate." The stallion snarled. "Sorry. But I didn't know that PRINCESS Twilight was a detective. If they insist on investigating. Then they can go to the castle and investigate the guards that were expected to protect this town at night." "Our friend is taking care of that." Twilight said as she stepped forward. "And I know a few things about these types of insurances. And don't worry about the night shift. We have a friend handling that." "And as a mare of culture. I have a rather skilled eye at spotting whatever may be out of place." Rarity added much to the stallion's annoyance. Applejack looked around thoughtfully. "Question. Could I see where the other ponies were attacked?" The guard nodded and led her down the street. Pinkie sat back with a calm smile. "And why are you here?" The stallion asked. "My Pinkie Sense." She giggled. The stallion turned to Twilight as he was about to force them to leave. "Her twitches are never wrong." Twilight explained as her and Rarity looked over the body. "Twilight." Rarity gulped. "Do these marks remind you of something?" Twilight gulped and stepped back in fear. "That… can't be possible." She quickly turned to the guard. "I need to check Canterlot's wildlife logs. NOW!" The guard nodded as the group made their way down the street. Leaving the stallion to plink in confusion before looking at Pinkie. "Aren't you going to go with them?" He asked. "Nope." She giggled. "But I am going to go check out that snack shop." As she was about to bounce away she added. "Oh. We're done looking at the body. Have fun!" At the castle logs, Twilight and Rarity quickly scanned the records as they looked for anything that matched what they saw. "This shouldn't be possible. Those marks look like an animal attack. But the reports I saw had different marks." Twilight panted. "I know what you mean." Rarity agreed. "Something isn't right." The two stopped as they turned to the pile of pictures of marks and the animals that caused them. "This isn't good." They said at the same time. They looked at the window and saw Celestia had already started to set the sun. "We may be too late." Twilight gasped. As the sun set, Rainbow got up and stretched before looking over at the guards as the night shift took over. "Ok guys. I'm heading out. Wish me luck." She announced before taking off. She didn't really have a destination in mind. But from what Twilight tried to explain on the train. It seemed that ponies went missing in one spot. And appeared in another. With this information, she decided to start at the slums. It was both going to be her best and worst decision she ever made. As she flew down over one of the side streets, something hit her and caused her to crash into the alleyway injuring her wing. "Dam! Why does this always happen to me? Fuck!" She snapped as she tried to get up. Seconds later she fell and looked in horror at her leg. "Fuck." Her leg had a large gash in it. Looking back she saw a broken window she was nearly impaled on. "Fuck…" her ear twitched at the sound of growling. "OH COME ON!" Author's Note Yes. Things are starting off with a bang. But I promise, things won't get too mushy for a while. And ponies will still likely keep dieing. //-------------------------------------------------------// Kindness and risks //-------------------------------------------------------// Kindness and risks Twilight sat at one of the crime scenes as Mod looked at it and one of the bodies over. She didn't really know what else to do. Knowing the Pie family. Mod would be able to notice something. Even though it will be rock related, she might be able to tell them something new about the crimes. "Forest." "What?" Twilight asked as she moved to Mod's side and looked at the body. "She was brought to the forest." Twilight thought for a moment. "Can you determine anything else?" Mod looked the body over again. "Yes…" Mod replied as Twilight looked at her expectedly. "There's a cabin not far from Canterlot." Twilight smiled. "Thanks Mod. I know asking for your help would be a good idea." After the two nod to each other they made their way to the castle. The figure stood in a group of ponies as he watched Fluttershy talking to one of the local animals. Grinning, an idea came to his mind as pulled out a small box from his cloak. Setting it down he watched as a squirrel came out and made its way over to her. "Three down. Three to go." He chuckled as he slipped into a side street. "Oh. Hello little friend." Fluttershy said as she gave the squirrel a nut. "Did you find something?" The squirrel nodded and pointed to the side street. "Oh my… you mean… you want me to go in there?" She asked nervously. It nodded and motioned for her to follow. "I should tell my friends about this." The squirrel grabbed and tugged her mane. "Oh… you're right. This might be our only chance…" She thought for a moment. "Will you help me?" The animals nod. "Great… then I guess it'll be fine." She said walking into the side street. In the dream scape Rainbow made her way down the streets of Canterlot. As soon as she saw her friends, she flew over and smiled at seeing them talking with the Wonderbolts. "Hey girls. Sorry I've been away for so long. I just…" Twilight and Spitfire stepped up glaring at her. "Rainbow. I'm glad to see you. But we need to know something important." Twilight announced. "Where is he?" Rainbow took a few steps back. "Why do I get a feeling you're not asking because you're happy for us?" "Because we're not." Spitfire replied. "We want to know where the monster is that ruined our best flier." "What?" "Come on Rainbow. You need to tell us. Or have you turned your back on Equestria?" Twilight asked. Rainbow sat and started panting in fear. As the ponies circled around her, a bright light flashed as Luna's voice called out. "Enough!" In a bright flash the ponies vanished. Rainbow looked around as she caught her breath. Letting out a sigh, she smiled at Luna. "Please… give me some good news." Luna landed and gave a friendly sigh. "In fact I do." She replied. "I spoke with Spitfire." "And?" Rainbow asked nervously. "What did she say?" "I told her you found a mate. And are expecting." Luna took a deep breath. "You will be on medical leave. And would like an invite to your wedding for the team." Rainbow blushed and nodded. "I guess that's fine…" She sighed. "It at least takes care of one of my worries. What about the others?" Luna turned as a white stallion came out of one of the houses. "As long as you are loyal to Equestria and yourself. You have nothing to worry about." He called before bowing to Luna. "Sorry if I stole your line, princess." "Who are you?" Rainbow asked. "A friend." He replied. "Don't think too hard about it." He laughed. "But as for your concern about your mate. Fear not. Time will…" He blinked and looked around. "Wait… was this the dream about monster babies or sea of pies?" Luna and Rainbow looked at each other before turning to him. "My friends and Spitfire wanted me to tell them where my mate was. Why do you ask?" He blinked for a moment before rubbing his chin. "Oh dear. That does complicate things a bit." Shrugging he smiled. "Everything will be fine." "There's something else you wish to share?" Luna asked. He thought for a moment. "Oh. Right. About that." Clearing his throat, the stallion turned to Luna. "Why haven't you told her about THAT?" Luna glared at him before seeing his knowing smirk grow. Sighing, she turned to Rainbow. "There is a way I can help you with speaking with him. But you may have to leave the Wonderbolts." "Why?" Rainbow asked. Luna took a deep breath. "You… will no longer be a normal pony." Rainbow thought for a moment before realization dawned on her. "I can still live in Ponyville and hang out with my friends. Right?" Seeing Luna nod, Rainbow opened her mouth to reply. "Take a day to think about it." The stallion interrupted. "Besides. Luna will need time to prepare for it." Rainbow and Luna nod in agreement. Rubbing her belly, Rainbow smiled warmly to herself. Author's Note Another pony to the clutches of the bad guy.
