The city is quiet, with no ponies in the street. Everyone is indoors, afraid of what’s coming next. A 16 miles comet heads straight to Its impact point 200 miles northwest of Vanhoover, The Princesses and The Mane six lost hope. They tried to destroy the comet, but the result was nothing. It was too late to destroy it or change its trajectory. Princess Celestia announced to all her lovely ponies. To spend their last minutes with their loved ones, in their own house.

one year ago…

A pony named Nebula Skystar had an interest in astronomy, with other astronomy students observing the night sky, up on the hill near the city of Trottingham.

“The sky was beautiful tonight, right Skystar?” Her friend named Venus Bright asked, Skystar smiled and nodded. “Hey what are you doing?”

“Observing the night sky,” Skystar responded with a warm smile. while peeking a little at her telescope. But something puzzled her. “Wait, what is that thing, I’ve never seen that star before?”

Venus is also curious about what Skystar is talking about. “Huh? Let me see.” He uses Skystar’s telescope to see what she's talking about. He could see a new star in the sky. It was nothing like he saw before.

After knowing what Skystar is talking about. He tells their mentor, Professor Gilded Galaxy. Galaxy then rushed into Skystar location. Skystar then clarified what she had found. Using her telescope, the view was the same. An unknown star in the sky. So, he wrote a message to the Equestria Astronomical Observation Agency (EAOA) about his student finding.

In Equestria Astronomical Observation Agency (EAOA) Headquarters, Canterlot.

A professional astronomer, Professor Violet Nova. Walking to the observatory to begin her work, she stopped by the mailman landing in front of her. “For EAOA Staff” the mailman handed the mail to Nova.

“Thank you, sir,” said Nova, the stallion then flew away. “Hmm, I wonder what it is?”

She continued walking to the observatory, climbing the stairs, and heading to her seat. You can see the big telescope in the middle of the room. She then opened the mail, and her gaze focused on the word, “A mysterious star.” Then she proceeded to the telescope and set the Celestial coordinate. She then observed it, and she could see it. A white, blue comet.

“Hey there gorgeous.” She muttered, “Where are you heading to?” She then grabs her board and starts astronomical calculations. After a while, she finally found the result. Her eyes widened, and her hooves trembled in fear.

“T-This can’t be!” Her legs suddenly became weak, and she fell to the floor. “I must inform the princesses!” With her trembling legs, she rushes to her desk and writes letters to the princess.

The next day…

The Mane Six, Spike, and Starlight called to Canterlot. The only face they show throughout the trip in Friendship Express is worry and confusion.

“Why do they call us?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“I don’t know, we’ve never had anything like this before!” said Twilight. “Even The Pillars were called, this must be something big! Really big!”

The other's face paled, silent and deeply thinking why they were called.

Hours later…

After the Friendship Express arrived in Canterlot. Royal Guards swarm Twilight and her friends. Then a familiar face showed up from the guards.

“Shining Armor! What’s happening?” said Twilight in worry.

“No time to explain, The Princesses want you all to be there right now!” said Shining.

The group then walked towards the castle.

“What is happening actually?” said Spike.

“I don’t know Spike, The Princesses want to discuss it,” said Shining.

“So, Cadence is there too?” said Twilight.

“Not just cadence, Sunburst is also there,” informed Shining.

This gives Twilight and the rest a more worried face.

Then they arrived at the castle. They rushed to the meeting room in the castle. The guards open the room’s door. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence, and Sunburst. All in there. The door then closed.

“Owh Twilight! I’m glad you’re here!” said Princess Celestia.

The Mane Six, Spike, and Starlight could see the worried face of Celestia. She looked pale. And stressed.

“Princess Celestia! What happened? Is it a powerful villain?” said Twilight worried.

“No Twilight, listen to what Luna is going to explain.” She then looked to her sister, Princess Luna. and nodded.

The Mane Six, Spike, Starlight, and the rest look at Princess Luna, bewildered and worried.

“I received mail from EAOA last night, and the mail is bad news.” Luna’s ears dropped.

“Last night, A student in Trottingham found a mysterious star in the southeastern sky. Then her professor sent a letter to EAOA about this object,” explained Luna.

The atmosphere in the room became intense.

“Professor Lime Nova, The Head Scientist of the EAOA. Took the letter and observed the object. And find the truth that it was-” She gulped. “a comet.”

Their faces loosen a little bit. Before Spike could say anything. Luna continues with her explanation.

“Professor Nova was then curious about its trajectory, she then the trajectory for the comet. After a while, the truth was bitter.” Luna paused, closing her eyes in the bitterness. Gritted her teeth.

This gives the ponies in the room a more intense and worried look on their face.

“The comet's trajectory is heading straight towards The Earth,” said Luna.

All the ponies in the room gasped. Pinkie pie’s hair deflated instantly.

Then Luna uses her magic to visualize the comet. The projection of the comet could be seen.

“This comet is 16 miles wide, if it falls onto this planet-” said Luna, her eyes watery. Princess Celestia covers Luna’s back with her wings, trying to comfort her.

“Then life on Earth will be consumed in the scorching fire, then freeze to death. this will be extinction for life on this planet,” said Luna.

This information was too heavy for all the ponies in the room. They all worried about their families and friends about what would happen next.

“But” Luna wiped her tears, “there’s still hope,”

All the ponies in the room look at Luna once again. “According to Professor Nova, we have 11 months, 17 days, and 18 hours to prepare.”

This gives hope to them. Discussing how to destroy the comet, or at least change its trajectory.

A month later Princess Celestia announced to the public about the comet that will hit the planet. The public starts to panic, but Celestia can calm it down. She comes up with a solution, by establishing Equestria Earth Rescue Agency (EERA) which will work researching rocketry, that will intercept the comet far before it enters the atmosphere.

One month before impact, the comet's location already passed the distance between The Earth and the moon. The EERA mission was executed. The rocket flew to the sky, and the rocket contained a megaspell bomb. It’s a really big bomb with mass destructive power.

The rocket escapes the earth making its way to the comets. It flew fast towards the comets, but it still took two weeks to get there.

Two weeks have passed, and the rocket gets closer to its target. Closer and closer. And the megaspell bomb had detonated. But unfortunately, the mission failed. Due to a computer error, the bomb detonated 5 minutes passed the comet. Makes the comet accelerate towards the earth. Now they only have 3 days to act. Society was unraveled, and mass panic was everywhere. Shops were looted, and society dying. Some ponies decide to migrate, far away from danger. Even though it was useless because the firestorm from the impact could reach every place on the planet. Their only shelter is underground, or underwater.

1 hour before impact…

The Princesses and The Mane Six. use their final power to destroy the comet. But no result. The comet was too tough to be destroyed.

Present…

“Where is everyone?” asked Spike. Looking at Starlight. “I think they are on the west view spot.

The sky was turning pinkish crimson. Canterlot was silent, the building abandoned.

Spike and Twilight rushed to the west Canterlot view spot. After they arrived, Spike and Starlight seeing all of them have already gotten together. The Princesses, Shining Armor, The Mane Six, Sunburst, and the rest of their family look at the view. Then they joined them. It can be seen that the princesses put away their crowns. Sitting enjoying their last moment.

“Hey, guys.” greeted spike.

“Hey, join us, sugarcube,” said Applejack.

Starlight and spike sit next to applejack and look at the view.

“Look at this wonderful land, unfortunately, it has to end,” said Celestia.

The small debris of the comet entered the atmosphere, and the sky was filled with beautiful burning meteors.

“Woah, it’s gorgeous,” said Spike.

The rest of the ponies there agreed. They enjoy their last moment together.

“You know what, I love you all. I will see you all in the next life,” said Twilight, and tears formed in her eyes. The group had a big last hug.

Finally, the main body of the comet entered the atmosphere, making its way to the impact point. And it happened.

The world was shaken by the biggest earthquake ever.

The shockwaves and the firestorm formed, approaching them with incredible speed.

The group just closed their eyes.

The firestorm arrived and they vanished along with the firestorm.

Author's Note

Funny story, I want to draw something. but it ended up with this idea.
So, I immediately write it. This story for me is sad. It got me in tears while writing it. But maybe it's because I'm imagining it in my head while describing the situation word by word.
