We never really know if the world's gonna end or what the aftermath would be, though the world as it is now wasn't always like this.

There was a time when you got help, a time when you could trust each other, a time when killing and struggling to survive in a world completely unrecognizable wasn't an everyday thing.

The world as we knew it was gone, no more government, no more news, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, and no cable TV.

All of the things we had taken for granted and no longer have after everything had changed for the worse, but what lead up to this and how did it start?

I have the answers to those questions because I was there, I saw the world get swallowed up by balefire and radiation and my life had become a constant struggle for survival in a world I no longer recognize.

My name is Joshua Monroe, former Sergeant of the United States Marine Corps, former Sheriff of the Ponyville Sheriff's Department, and former Captain of the Equestria's special forces division.
