Finally, it was time! Soarin’ thought, still unable to process the idea going through his head. My first ever show as a Captain! From now on it’s a new me! A new start, and a new chance, and a feather load of responsibilities, well buck! Oh Celestia, if I survive this month, I will kiss your crown until it rusts and my lips bleed.
Soarin’ was begging to shake, though only very slightly, but enough to get Spitfire’s attention, though Soarin’s mind was comply lost in thought to even know where he was, Spitfire was very aware where she was, they were in the infamous locker room of the Wonderbolts.
This room was a legend in Cloudsdale, it was said to have diamond encrusted gold showers and platinum lockers, the truth was less than spectacular. To an outsider to walk in here, this was just another locker room, but unknown to them was the history behind it all. From every scratch to stain to crack, there was a history behind each one, and a deep significance to each member of the Wonderbolts.
This locker room had now been on use for over ninety years, and never a single locker was removed, replaced or emptied by none other than the Pegasus owning it, so as you can tell, there was a hay load of lockers here. Each new recruit was given a new locker, as a sign of welcome from the team, and soon enough, this room became an ever expanding warehouse and a second story had just been put in, yet no pony had ever gone up there due to spitfires orders, that and there where seventeen locks on the double door that opened to the stairs leading up towards the second floor.
“You look a bit worried there Soarin’” Spitfire said as she trotted up beside him, “Not to worry though, your not the first one to get a little nervous on their first show as captain, everypony gets a little scarred”
“I’m not scarred, I’m worried Spitfire” Soarin’ replied, just as a buzzer rang to start the show, “Well we’ll see, good luck” Spitfire said with a heave as she pushed Soarin’ out into the stadium.
