Spike T. Dragon is no stranger to the bizarre and unusual happenings of Equestria. Being the son of Princess Celestia's star pupil, he's seen and heard many a weird thing. It's a trend he fully expected to continue well into his adulthood. What he didn't expect to learn, however, was that those oddities he considered 'weird' were in fact the comparatively innocuous tip a very large and disturbing iceberg.

From the devious machinations of dozens of twisted cults to the inscrutable designs of cosmic beings whose power could be likened only unto Gods, its a dangerous world, where a fate worse than death might lurk behind every corner. In the face of such malignant forces, Spike must become one of the men who not only face them down, but clean up the aftermath...

They are the Agents of OPTIC. Fighting a ceaseless secret war, concealing what they can, obfuscating the rest. All are charged with making those ever important 'Merciful Deletions' to the memories of the public, to preserve the placid illusions of 'Normalcy' and 'Reality' that keep all of civilization from collapsing into gibbering mindless panic.

Unofficial Tag: Anthology

Author's Note: Hey all! I know it says it's a sequel, but actually this is a side-story, something that I'll be work on in addition to the actual sequel. I wanted to do something a little less devoted to geo-politics and international crises, more focused one a smaller cast of characters, with some little world building thrown in to treat myself. Sometimes it's just nice to take a brief diversion into a different project. As such, uploads may be a tad sporadic.

As with the last story, this is an Alternate Universe where the characters are humanized and the technology level is a bit anachronistic. Unicorns don't have horns, but pegasi have wings. I'll try to write it so you don't need to read the whole previous story, but it'd probably be a be a good idea.
