//-------------------------------------------------------// The Disappearances from The Castle of the Two Sisters -by tyaper- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 There where guard's reports of unexplained night-time disappearances of the castle's inhabitants. The Full Moon was raised by Celestia, and Luna's late night play stopped. Luna yawned due to tiredness so she was put to sleep by Celestia in a tower-top bedroom. It's been several nights now that Luna entered into other ponies morbid, mature, and vivid dreams. That fateful nights sleep allowed her to do so again. The countless dreams where suspended throughout a continuous pitch-black space as colorless crystal spheres. When among a small group of the spheres that where much closer she unexpectedly and inexplicably fell into one. She'd been able to control her maneuvers in that space until then. Jagged, hard steel-grey metal spires surrounded her on a starless plateau. There where a large amount of deep holes in the opaque glassy black rock ground. Various haphazardly wavering multicolored pony limbs stretched out of the holes. Her unwavering curiosity to learn allowed her to proceed out from the plateau. Albeit their movement towards her was unpleasant. Her descent of a falling surface stopped at a large area of land, because 'twas completely covered with swaying short pale nubs. Pale ciliated flat ovoids rained, and chomping sounds came from the direction of the holes. She frantically flew over the nubs to continue her then considerably more frightening descent. A chalky green coated, dark brown maned, pale golden eyed earth-pony stallion was writhing. His cutie mark was a dark brown soil covered trowel. He was supported in a fathomless pit's midst by his four legs that elongated straight down into it. With a reverberative shriek the stallion's legs rapidly drew in and pulled him wholly down. Despite Luna's reluctance from apprehension she flew down the pit after him. Through the pit that turned into a tunnel she entered into a cavernous place. Starry light came from a dozen transparent arm's tips atop a colossal pale columnar entity. That light illuminated porous walls, and creatures that budded, and resembled the entity. The otherwise indescribable creatures trotted from a sickly green, dimly glowing liquid at the entity's lowest point. "Luna! Luna! Wake up, its pancake time!" Celestia said in serene singsong. Celestia's joyousness gave Luna solace. There was a new report about a castle's gardener's disappearance. She decided to avoid the spheres altogether because of the unpleasant dream. An impromptu journey into the space was gradually undertaken. When she turned back to where she started from she saw that the spheres couldn't be seen anymore. The space was all that remained so she continued in the same direction while casting an ineffective magical luminescence. A huge cylinder whooshed by, and sent her helplessly spiraling away from it. Its pointed top thrashed, and then quickly extended in the direction of her approach until 'twas out of sight. With outstretched wings she gracefully landed on a dusty grey surface. An increasingly harsh and oppressively loud noise was approaching her. A continuous hot grey dust filled gale strengthened until it felled her unceremoniously. A colossal levitating mass of rock engulfed the space above her! It's underbelly had a jangling forest of metal roots that jiggled side to side. The gale was pulling her and tons of dust toward the forest. She frantically teleported to an upper ledge of the mass. A huge dome lattice was beyond tall and moving self-supporting metal brambles. The translucent material that was wrapped over it regularly pulsed with red light. The red light silhouetted one big cylinder that divided into five cylinders that arbitrarily jutted from the domes top and continued out of sight. She flew through a tiny circular gap in it's midsection. The dome's interior smelled like antiseptic and was illuminated at regular intervals by an indistinct light source that rotated in red glass. Numerous flat surfaces that hung from the domes upper interior showed the faraway spheres. Colors blinked profusely on tall rectangular fixtures. Liquid globules flowed through a big transparent tube in the dome's center. A dark glossy spheroid entity with countless long and very quickly oscillating arms sounded a continuous loud inhaling. A single arm from the entity struck a particular fixture and the dome went pitch-black. Slimy swooshes scared her so she frantically teleported into the tube. A brief thud sounded from behind her. The tubes powerful current brought her along with the globules. Whenever any of the globules touched her a vision intensified. The echoing beats of drums, whistles of flutes, and shakes of maracas accompanied a New Moon. Her telekinesis kept enough of the globules away to preserve her focus. With which she directed herself toward the then nearest sphere the tube sub-divided into. The entity scrambled along the tube's outside with ease. Then it effortlessly entered the tube. The amount of it's arms doubled by the time it reached her. The sunny sky was seen first when she awoke in the midst of a deserted pony village. The distant countryside was shadowed by numerous massive floating entities. The entities where red gel filled bells that propelled upwards. The entirety of the sky was being sucked through the bottom of the entities, gradually making the dream dark and starless. The buildings surrounding the town square where she stood aged decades in seconds, then collapsed to dust. The ground became rock, and metal spires came up from the ground. Whole areas of land sunk, leaving plateaus. Celestia twirled wide-eyed at the strange transformations that occurred around her. The stone brick ground of the town square shook, the outdoor lampposts around them tipped over and spilled inflamed oil. The sisters gazed at each other as the ground beneath Celestia plummeted and her legs elongated straight down into the resulting pit. Harsh and loud noises came from the pit's depths. An ascent of a swarm of creatures was assisted by a cold briny wind. The swarm was launched out of the pit and it sprawled across the fractured town square. When all of the creatures simultaneously charged at Luna she was frightened awake.
