Risen from the ruins

Darkness. That's all Zack could see. There were faint dwindles of light. He realized he was laying down on a bed of some sort. Cold metal bars locked him away preventing his escape. In his pocket he still had his iPhone 6. He turned on his phone to see there was no internet connection or connection to any phone service. He looked up in the corner and the date read January 01 15000. He had been frozen in ice for over 10,000 years. Where ever he was there was some sort of advanced civilization. He sighed as he sat on the bed in his cold cell.

Princess Celestia sat high on her throne thinking of the attack that took place in ponyville. The guards let Twilight into the throne room. "Twilight I have summoned you here so you may interrogate this soldier." Twilight listened. "We need to find out about him as much we can." The Princess escorted Twilight down into the Dungeon. The Dungeon itself has never been used in over 1000 years seeing as crime and violence has been eliminated from Equestrian society.

"Well here he his." Celestia said. "If you need me I'll be back upstairs in my throne room." Twilight looked at the young soldier. A tear went down his eye. "Everyone I know has been dead for 10,000 years." Twilight looked at the sad human. "Its ok I understand what you are going through." "How the fuck would you know?" Zack snapped back. "You and the other colourful mutated ponies have never seen violence. You have never experienced pain. You just don't know the half of it."

"Well whatever happened in the past is in the past. Your here now. You don't have to witness violence anymore. So long as you are here in Equestria. Please just tell me who you are,where you come from and everything you know." Zack looked up at Twilight. "This is going to be a long story. Please if you would go sit in that chair." Twilight preceded to the chair by the cell and sat down. "My name is Zack Gutburg. I am a Marine in the European Military Force." Twilight looked at him. "Can you tell me what you are? Tell me about your race." "I am a human. Humans before the great war inhabited this planet for 10,000 years. We evolved from great apes on the Continent of Africa. From there our people migrated to every continent on this planet. What you call Equestria we call earth. Our race evolved into seperate civilizations." Zack took in a huge breathe for what he was about to say. "Your kind were also among us. At this time though equines did not have magic or the ability to fly. You all had the intelligence of another animal." Twilight gasped "So we were'nt civilized?" "No you were'nt. My kind used your's for 1000s of years,riding you,helping our crops and more. I'm sorry. I never had a horse because the time I come from is highly technological."

"Anyway one of the great empires on earth,the Roman empire,laid the foundations for our civilization. They over extended there empire and they collapsed. Bickering countries rose from the ashes of the roman empire. From there they fought each other over resources. In 1492 the Europeans discovered north america. They colonized it but eventually their colonies declared independence. The United States came from this. They come in later. In Europe they evolved and went through evolution. By the year 1900 the old technologies were less and less used. New technologies sprung from the old. The first world war from 1914-1918 devastated Europe. Germany was defeated but they rose again with their leader Adolf Hitler. In WW2 Hitler killed 6 Million innocent people. His empire was shattered and the Soviet Union and the United States were the last superpowers. From there the cold war went. Communism VS Capitalism. My Country formed in 1947. The European Union. After the Cold War they grew. They had united Europe. Russia was also becoming much more advanced in these years. China became industrialized. In this time America was dwindling. In 2012 the conservatives took over the US and it became a dictatorship. Our countries developed technology far beyond anything you can think of during this time. We went to war in 2056. We were sucsesful liberating the US from the Conservative powers but in the Midwest Nuclear missiles destroyed Earth. That is all I know."

Twilight was stunned. She had never known of any violence like this. "I don't know what to say. Where do you come into all of this Zack?" Zack laughed. It all began about 22 years ago. Technically over 10,000 years ago you get the point. I was born 22 years ago from 2060 on the Rammstein Airforce base. My father was a soldier in the European army. My mother was a nurse. At that time the US had a base stationed in Germany from after WW2. I grew up loving history, It was my passion. My father had other plans. He wanted me to become a soldier and fight for Europe. I hated the army seeing how much violence it generated. Eventually I became a soldier and was drafted in the Great War of 2056. I went on missions in the US. From Boston,to Harvard,Washington to Philadelphia. Then New York. I learned that my family was killed in the Rammstein masecure. US soldier killed everyone at the base. There was a brutal battle but Europe drove the Americans out. When the Nukes fell I froze myself in the cryonic freezing chamber. Hoping I would survive. That is how I got here."
