//-------------------------------------------------------// Tales of the Battle Foals: Long ago... -by Nothing2007- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prelude //-------------------------------------------------------// Prelude This is a story that takes long ago, before Fire Fight and the Battle Foals. This is Brine and the Midnight Raiders story: 50 years ago: A forest near Hoffington: A Master Chief and his most loyal samurai warrior were talking through the forest. "Why did you take me out here?" ask the Samurai warrior. "You wanted to pass your training, did you," said the old Master Chief. "Todays the day." But before he could say anything, there was a loud pitch scream, follow by what sounded like.... "Timberwolves," growled the Master Chief as he pulled his Kanata and prepare to rush into the fray. "I thought no one came near these woods," yelled the Samurai as he pulled out his double edge blade. "We'll worry about that later," said the Master Chief. "Now, we charge in!" Following his master, the two charge into the fray and found... nothing. 4 Timber Wolves, a average size of a pack, lay dead, marks that showed that they were rip apart by something. "What happened here?" said the Samurai. "These Timber Wolves have been rip to sherds!" But the Master Chief wasn't listening. His eyes were on a bush, were he saw a faint outline of a colt, no older then about 3. "You can come out, I'm not going to hurt you," said the Master Chief. He heard a small whimper, but then, the colt came out. The Master Chief was surprise at the young colts appearance. His right hoof was covered in a razor sharp claw of black, with blood all over the colt's face. "So, what do you think killed them?" said the samurai as he walk up to his master, but he stop cold when he saw the colt. "Obsidian magic," said the both of them. Master Chief look at him. He was barely 3 years of age, if he could guess. so why he was doing at here in the wilderness with crazy magic amazed him. "What are you doing at here?" ask the kind old Master Chief. The colt shook. "I don't have any, I don't know," said the colt. "I awoken under a tree and nothing in sight." The two warriors look at each. "Come here," said the Samurai as he try to see if he was ok. That was a big mistake. The colt panic and a massive tentacle reach out of the earth and grab the Samurai and hand him mid air. "Ahh! I hate heights. Put me down!" yelled the Samurai. But the colt was too scared to as his eyes glowed white and red when a hoof touch his shoulder. He turned around and saw the Master Chief with his hoof on his shoulder. He seemed.. welcoming. "Can you put him down?" ask the Master Chief. The colt, feeling much better, let the Samurai down. "Now come here, little one," said the Master Chief. The colt hesitated at first, but came to him, as the Master Chief pick him up. "What are you doing with the colt, master?" ask the samurai, dusting himself off. "We are takeing him with us," said the Master Chief. "He doesn't have anywhere to go." The samurai wasn't sure taking the colt was a good idea. "I not sure taking him is a good idea. He killed a pack of Timber Wolves with his claws, that's crazy!" yelled the samurai as the two walk back to camp. "We're not leaving this colt to die in the wilderness," the Master Chief snap, leaving the samurai quiet. "Do you have a name little one?" ask the old Master Chief. "Brine," said the little colt. "I think that's a good name for you," said the Master Chief as they enter their village. FIFTHTEEN YEARS LATER: The years pass as the colt, name Brine, grew into a handsome warrior. He fought and trained hard to fulfill his mission. To evenaulty replace as the new Master Chief. Brine watch the morning sunrise. He loved the way it look for he was always a early bird. Wake up early and go to sleep late at night. He often got into trouble for doing his late night activities. Brine sign as he hear the breakfast bell ring. His stomach was hungry. He wanted to stay, but he needed to eat something. Donning his mask, he left the tree. https://camo.fimfiction.net/Jz3JF7MVRvAb5h6oDbn4khtWJY0TY8sqaHyeesNc5oI?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimages-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com%2Ff%2F014bffaa-f219-494b-9d2b-fd436f3e22eb%2Fdfe3kdj-83710d88-df87-456f-9466-15146011510f.png%3Ftoken%3DeyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7InBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcLzAxNGJmZmFhLWYyMTktNDk0Yi05ZDJiLWZkNDM2ZjNlMjJlYlwvZGZlM2tkai04MzcxMGQ4OC1kZjg3LTQ1NmYtOTQ2Ni0xNTE0NjAxMTUxMGYucG5nIn1dXSwiYXVkIjpbInVybjpzZXJ2aWNlOmZpbGUuZG93bmxvYWQiXX0.OBMPqMB2oAKDUSzMBYnF894rL_MfyyxSrPrN98B8xuE Brine walk into the Mess hall where the other kids were. It wasn't anything fancy, just eggs and toast, but he learned to value anything. It was this or nothing. Taking his mask off, he look around as he ate his food. He wasn't a talker much. He didn't pay much attention to the other students. "Hey Claws!" Well, only one pony and his buddies. Brine turned to his left and saw Stinger and his gang approach him. They were bullies. They were always picking on the other students while messing with Brine due to his gifts. "I hope you keep those claws nice and sharp, cause you are going to need it when they kick you back out into the forest!" yelled Stinger. Him and his Buddies laugh. Brine stood silent. "Why don't you go pick on someone you're own size for once" said Brine as he returned his plate to the Lady. Lady. She was the head of their food department and teach them about various farming skills. No one knew what her real name was, so they just called her Lady. "What? Going to the old Stinker huh," said Stinger. "That's rude of you to call him that," said Brine, donning his mask. "And I have stuff to do." Before Stinger could say anything else, Brine disappeared in a flash as he teleported away. "I hate when he does that," Stinger growled. Brine reappeared in the forest, a few away from the village. This was, his spot. He look around. He had some training to do. He went for the punching bag first and destroyed about 3 of them before he was done. "I really need to stop doing this," mumbled Brine as he toss the destroyed bag aside. He went into his usual workout mode, doing his push ups, sprints and training his magical abilities. It was around sunset when Brine was returning to his dorm when he suddenly got a smack in the face and went to the ground. "Look is so tough now!" said a familiar voice. Brine got up and saw Stinger and his gang with hammers. "We are going to show the old stinker who is best here and they will sent you back to the forest you freak!" yelled Stinger. This finally broke the straw in the camel's back. He had always look up to the Master Chief as a father, since he saved him from the forest so long ago. Now he was angry as ever. "You ask for it," growled Brine as Stinger charge at him with the hammer raised. But he was stop before he could even reach him. "What dud.." said Stinger as he look at his hooves. He was grab by a black, rocky, tentacle. "Oh krap," said Stinger as he was thrown into the air and crash into his dorm. The rest of his gang charged at Brine, but stopped quickly as Brine shed his claws. His razor sharp, obsidian claws. "Now the tables have turned," Brine grinned as he teleported next to one of Stingers friends and punch him in the face. You could the bones in his jaw crack as he was thrown into a barrel. The other members tried to smash him with their hammers, but Brine dodge the attackers and grab them with his tentacles as they were thrown into the air. Brine entered his mode as the members recovered and charged back at him, but due to his more experience and his better reflexes, he took them all out. One member, though, had enough and charge at him with a knife and slash his eye, causing him pain as he knock him away. He, though, came back though and tried to jump on him, but Brine was more faster. Slash! By then, the Master Chief and the other samurai's had arrived and saw the carnage around them. But was more concerning was that the member that tried to stab Brine was now at his mercy, holding on as his claw impaled him. Brine release the bully from his grasp, as the member drop to the ground, holding his stomach as he ran to the medical chamber. "Brine, we need to talk." Brine stop cold. He slowly turned around and saw the Master Chief and the rest of the samurai staring in shock at his behavior. "Yes sir," said Brine, putting his head down in shame as he followed the Master Chief into his chamber, while the samurai went back to their duties. Meanwhile, Stinger grumbled. "That guy is h*** on Earth for sure." Brine sat on the couch while his Master Chief pace around the room. Finally, he ask. "Why?" "I was defending your honor, master," said Brine, still with his head lower down. "I lost it after.." The Master Chief put his hoof on Brine's lips. "There's no need," said the Master Chief. Brine was very confused by this. "Your not mad at me sir," said Brine. "But I nearly killed one of your students." "But you didn't, did you?" ask the Master Chief. "That's what honor is. Follow me, my son. It's time." Still confused, Brine followed the Master Chief as they both entered a secret chamber. There, before his eyes, he saw it. The Gauntlet of power. "My time is nearly up," said the Master Chief. "Our old friends are coming, wanting to alienate us all. You will be the one to carry on the legacy of the Samurai," he said as Brine approach the Gauntlet. "Try it, son," said the Master Chief. "It's yours." Brine step back. "I'm not ready for something like this. I.." "You are," said the Master Chief. "You have been since the day I found you. You are destiny to be the world's greatest warrior and defender of every living foal in the world." Brine reach for the Gauntlet as it slide onto his hoof. A massive burst of power shock the chamber and every cell in Brine's body. MEANWHILE: OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE: "Somethings up," said a guard samurai as he and his partner stood watch by the front gate. "Something's out there." "You are just being dumb again Josh, " said his partner. "There's nothing out there..." He never got to finish his sentence cause as he turned around, Josh's throat was slit by a mysterious black covered pony with her kunai before throwing it into him, ending the both of them. Luckily for them, the figure was spotted by another samurai. "Shadewalkers!" he yelled as he was taken out by a Bladerunner. By the dozens, Shadewalkers and Bladerunners, with the help of some outside ponies, begin to torch the village with fire, while slaughtering the inhabits. Die Bladerunners!" yelled a Samurai as he felled several Bladerunners in battle. But his luck ran out as he felt a kunai go straight through his heart. "I failed you master," he mumbled as he feel to the ground, dead. The Shadewalker who killed him stood over him, and spat. "Take that to the grave, you wicked soul," spat the Shadewalker as she left the scene. Meanwhile, back in the chamber, Brine had noticed the Master Chief wasn't doing anything. "Master?" ask Brine as the Master Chief collapsed onto the floor. Panicking, Brine ran to him, but the old Samurai wasn't doing hot. "Brine... take my sword," mumbled the Master Chief as he unshed his sword, his Kanata and handed it to Brine. "Take it and defend the rights of Foals like you..." The Master Chief fell silent as his heart stop. "Please, speak to ME!" yelled Brine. But he got no response. He knew what happened. Brine cried. He had been through everything. He was a father to him. Someone he look up to for so long, gone. He cried for a long time that night. On the surface, the bodies and houses of the Samurai burned as the black smoke filled the air. The Shadewalkers and Bladerunners were already gone, thinking they had finally gotten rid of their biggest enemy. When morning dawn, Brine look around as he exited the chamber. The village was gone, burned away. Bodies of everyone he knew was gone. Brine's mind flash before his eyes. Everything he knew, was gone. "They were looking for me," he told himself. He remember his master's final words: "Protect the rights of the Foals like you." "I am coming for you all!" yelled Brine as he don his mask and look at his Kanata. He knew what he had to do. And that day, he left the village. And begin his quest that would be his lifeline and for revenge. //-------------------------------------------------------// Keep on Dreaming //-------------------------------------------------------// Keep on Dreaming Brine travel through the forest day and night. It was difficult, for the forest was HUGE. But evenaulty, he found a way out. Brine look outside of the woods. There was a small town just a mile from the forest. It wasn't big, but small enough. "How am I going to do this?" Brine said to himself. Then he got idea. "I will just blend in with the rest of the village kids," said Brine as he out his mask away. "But I would need to hid my sword and make sure I don't show my obsidian powers." After hiding his sword, Brine, causally, walk inside the village. He look at his surroundings. It was very different from his village. But he did noticed a shop. "I need to buy some gear," said Brine as he check his stash. He raided all the houses in ruined village, leaving him with about 100 bits to spend. Brine entered the store. Luckily, other foals were here too, so he won't be the oddball in the shop. He look at the products. Climbing gear, ropes, backpacks, which he needed badly. And some weird treats. He decided to buy a heavy duty backpack and a rope. He didn't need anything else, since he could just summon some fire with his magic and scourge for food. "Why don't you want all of this kid," ask the cashier as Brine paid for his stuff. "Camping stuff," said Brine, hopeing that the Cashier would buy the lie. "Alright kid," said the Cashier as he handed the colt the stuff. "Have a nice day and nice hair." Brine remember his unusual hair. It was Light Green, different from the other foals. Their Samurai hair cutter could never cut it or dye it either, like it was a piece of armor. It reminded him of acid. Still though, he didn't mind it. It give him a quiet hairstyle compare to other foals his age. He walk around the village for a bit, doing his best to blend in with the other foals. Evenaulty, he walk inside a bakery to buy some bread, where he ran into other foals, mostly fillies. "Did you hear what's going on in that town," said a filly. "Yeah," said another filly. "I heard they captured one of those freaks." This peak Brine's interest. A foal with similar abilities to him. This can't be good. He look at the bread as if he was interested in it, as he esdrop on the fillies conversation. "Yeah, I heard the folks over there are going to burn him to the stake tonight," said the filly. "It serves them right, to get rid of those freaks!" yelled the other filly, as the two walk off, laughing their heads off. Brine watch them leave the bakery with murder on his mind. He was furious for those fillies to talk like that. He wanted to have them suffer a painful death. "Brine, shut up. That will not help matters at all," Brine told himself as he purchase the bread. Brine exited the Bakery, and realize night was falling. He remember what the fillies had said. "I got to get to that village and save that foal," said Brine. "He must not die." He ran back to the forest, making sure to avoid any parents and adults. He had a few close calls, but he had to stop because a couple was blocking his exit. "This is great," said Brine as he hid behind a barrel. "I need to get them to leave. But how?" Then he had a idea, but he wasn't happy with it. "I guess I have no choice," said Brine as he concentration his magic. Seconds later, a undead pony crawled out of the ground. The undead pony look at Brine, waiting for his orders. "I need you to distract that couple," said Brine, hesitantly pointing to the couple. The Zombie Pony groaned in agreement. The Zombie stumbled out into view and approach the couple. Groaning loudly, he got the noticed of the couple. "Ahh!! Zombie!" yelled the couple as they ran back into town, with the zombie pony in tow, allowing Brine to escape. "I am never doing that again," said Brine as he gallop out of town and into the forest. He luckily found where he hid his sword and after grabbing it, he ran into the direction the fillies had said to save the foal. "I hope I'm not too late," said Brine as he ran like he never had before. Of course, there was a bunch of obstacles for him to cross, but he trained for this and was skilled in acrobats and bypass them all. "This is easy work," said Brine as he leap across the trench that seemed to appeared out of nowhere. … It was around Midnight when Brine finally arrive at the village, but he could sense something was wrong. "Oh I hope he isn't dead," said Brine as he search for the foal, but came up empty. "This entire town is silent," said Brine as he sat on a rock to think. But that's when he heard the screams of a foal. Base on the scream, it seem like a colt. "I know where now," said Brine as he leaped onto the trees and used them to get closer while he remain hidden. He reached a clearing, where he was horrified at the sight. The whole town was there, with a colt his age, getting beaten while tied up on a pole. "We don't tolerate freaks around here!" said one of the townsfolk as he smack the colt, already bleeding and bruising from his early beatings. Brine watch on with his angry growing every second. "Let's finish this, you freak," said two ponies as they enter the ring. Brine was p***. These ponies, were his parents. He could tell by his gut. The colt's parents raised their torch's as the colt tried to get away, but it was useless as the father tried to put the torch in the colt's face when... Slash! The Colt's mother and the rest of the townsfolk look in horror as a black claw came out of his back, spilling blood. The colt opened his eyes not to find him dead, but to the shock, a mask colt with unusual green hair had a spike black claw and his eyes, they were white and red, one in each eye, Brine shoved the father to the ground, already dead. He had a deal with the rest of the ponies. "Another Freak!" yelled one of the town ponies. "Kill him!" yelled another as two Unicorns charge at him with spears, but they didn't get close as his tentacles killed them. The next few minutes was a blur, Brine couldn't recall it. He just did what he did best. Fight. The colt pass out from exhaustion as the final pony felled to the ground, dead. Brine look around him. Bodies upon bodies of the townsfolk laid around him. "Serves them right," said Brine as he put out the last torch. "I hope they all burn in h***." He turned to the colt and got a good look at him. He had a green hoodie, with jeans. His face was scared from the beatings he took, but otherwise he look like a normal colt. Brine took him down from the pole and immediately did some healing spells on him. It help, but he was still unconscious. "Poor kid," said Brine as he teleported away as the morning sun raised into the sky. Brine reappeared in a cave overlooking the city of Detrot, his next target. But his goal right now was to help the colt. He turned around to help the resting colt. But to his surprise, the colt had vanished. That's when he was hit in the side of his face, sending him into a wall. He got back up and saw the colt was up, ready to fight, but this time, his eye's were pure green. Brine didn't have a time to say anything as the colt charge at him again, THIS time, sending him through the cave wall. "Ow, this colt is strong," said Brine as he tried to catch his breath, but had to dodge once again as the colt tried to get him. "Easy there," said Brine as he tried to hold down the colt, but the colt was in no mood to talk as he throw Brine to the ground. "You talk," said the colt as he pin Brine to the ground. Brine was impress by the Colt's brute strength, even though it was common for Earth Ponies to have better strength then their Unicorn counterparts. "I am not here to hurt you," said Brine calmly, which seem to help the colt to relax a bit as his eyes change to just green ones. "What is your name?" "It's Dream," said the colt. "Who are you?" "I am Brine, who just saved your life, now can you please let go me now?" ask Brine. The colt, named Dream, unpin Brine from the ground and look around. "Where are we?" Dream ask. "A few miles from Detrot, my next location," said Brine as he sat down to sharpen his sword. "Hey, you look like you come from around here," said Dream, noticing his sword. "Where are you from?" "I am the last Samurai," said Brine. "And my goal is to save foals like you from horrible fates." "That makes sense," said Dream. "But why mean, out of any foal else, why? I'm just a loser farm colt." "You are just like me," said Brine, making Dream really confuse. "We are both have powers in a world that hates them." "What do you mean?.." Dream begin to ask as Brine summoned his claws, forming out of obsidian. "Obsidian magic?!" yelled Dream. "No one has ever seen that!" "I know," said Brine, his claw disappearing. "I was bullied for that reason. They would often called my a freak for having my gifts, but I refuse to listen. I fought on, till now." "So what now?" ask Dream. "Everybody we knew is dead, so what do we do now?" "I want to ask you to come with me on my quest," said Brine, as he put back on his mask and shed his sword. "Dream, are you willing to come with me and risk your life to help save foals before they suffer the same thing you were had?" Dream was speechless. He didn't know what to do. But it sound cool to him. And beginning with someone like him was better then getting chased out of another village. "Yes," said Dream with his hoof raised. "We will, as a team, help the foals of this world who are feared by their people. We will save them from their suffering. Hoof up!" "You got it," said Brine as the two hoof pump each other. "Detrot, here we come." As the two friends head towards Detrot, the Adventure and their new life, had began. //-------------------------------------------------------// Back from the Dead //-------------------------------------------------------// Back from the Dead Brine and Dream walk on the outskirts of Detrot, talking. "You need to change your clothes," said Brine. "They smell you know, like fire." "Alright, but why don't you change yours," ask Dream. Brine spoke. "My clothes are special, they can wash and clean themselves. Never will figure it out." "Let's try to get a room at a hotel," said Brine. "We're tall enough to pass as adults." "Let's go!" yelled Dream. The two enter the city, bearing wearily of their surroundings. Detrot was known as "Crime City" for a reason. The two manage to find a decent hotel with good pricing, but the mare at the front desk noticed something. "Are you two smaller then usual for your age," ask the Mare, getting looks from Dream with a glare, making her shut up. "Ok then, sorry!" yelled the mare, as he handed the two colts the key. The two colts talk to each other as they search for their room. "I think she was on to us," said Dream. "We will have to leave then," said Brine as he ate some of the bread he had took earlier. The two evenaulty founded their room and Brine suggest they both went to bed early later as they would have to scam out of their the next morning. "Ok, so what are we going to do?" said Dream as he wash his face in the bathroom. "I think we should split up and see if we can find any foals that are willing to go with us," said Brine as he sharpen his sword. "Alright, but I want to get some stuff at a shop on the way," said Dream as he dried his face with a towel. "Then we don't have a moment to lose," said Brine as he teleported from the room. Dream sign. "He could have teleported me too." After taking the stairs, Dream walk around the city, keeping his hood up to avoid ponies seeing his face. He knew if they saw his face, they would ask questions, which would doom them. Dream look around. In front of him was a mask shop, something he could use to hid his face. Silently, he entered the shop. It was full of masks of all types. Dream couldn't even tell them all. But one seemed, attracting to him. He look at the mask. It wasn't anything special. It was a white circle, with a smile on it. It wasn't like the others, but it seem to want him. He knew that somehow, and what mysterious force, the mask wanted him and he wanted it. It seemed to have, something. He left the shop, with the mask on. It felt weird at first to him, looking at his surroundings with it on, but it seem calm. He could show his face, without showing his face. Dream walk the city streets as he look around, hopeing to see any foals, but he soon realize that they were all in school and won't be out until later. That was, until he saw one. He turned around and saw a colt ran into a nearby alley with a seemly angry gang of ponies chasing after him. Dream follow them silently close behind. "We gave you a chance little freak," said one of the ponies, most likely the leader as two of them grab the colt and pulled him to the gang leader. "And you sold us out, for a piece of bread!" yelled the gang leader as he smack the colt in the face, hard. Dream got a good look at the colt. Same age as the others, though he seem a bit younger then him. Then he saw his eyes. They were pure white, unlike Brine's red and white color eyes. "You have to pay for this, little one," said the gang leader as one of the members gave him a metal pipe, which to Dream's horror, used to smash it into the colt's head, dropping him to the ground, head bleeding. Dream had enough of them tortureing the colt and jump out of his hiding spot and grabbing a metal crowbar and a trash lid. "Hey You! Fetch!" Dream throw the trash lid at one of the gang members as they turned around as it struck him in the face, knocking him out cold. "Hey kid! How are you!" yelled another as he was struck by Dream's crowbar, sending him into a nearby trash can in response. Two more tried to pin down Dream, but before they could grab him, he suddenly gain a burst of power and he smash the gang members who were shock by the Earth colts sere strength, "Who is this colt!?!" yelled the gang members as they crash into a wall. "The name's Dream," said Dream as he smash the rest of the members, leaving only the gang leader left standing. "You are so going to die and no one will find you AGAIN kid!" yelled the Leader as he charge at Dream with his pipe, swinging at Dream. Dream was busy trying to dodge that he was knock aside by the Leader's left hoof, sending him back down the alley. "Not so tough now huh?!" yelled the Gang Leader as he walk towards Dream, who was trying to get his crowbar. But before the gang leader could strike him, he felt a sudden pain as he fell to the ground dead. "You ok?" said Brine, who had appeared behind the leader and killed him for Dream's safely, hold his hoof for Dream to grab. Dream, after getting up, ran to the colt. He was a Pegasus, but he couldn't hear breathing, which only meant one thing. "No no NO!" yelled Dream as he desperately tried to revive the colt, but it was no use. Dream begin to cry under his mask. Brine look on, the sadness creping into his soul. There was a way, but he didn't want to do, but it was overwhelming. "Come on Dream," said Brine as he pick up the colt and the two walk back to the hotel in silence. Once the duo reach their room, Dream lock himself in the bathroom and refused to come out. Brine decided to mediate. He fell into his sleep, he couldn't help but feel the dread of the colt's passing. He remembered what his old master had taught him once over his necromancy skills. 5 YEARS AGO: "Remember what I taught you," said the Master Chief. "Now you try." Brine hesitate. "I don't think I can," he said. "It seems like it's something I shouldn't do." "Is this the same way like your obsidian powers?" ask the old Master Chief. Brine thought about that. He had always believe that his abilities were a curse. But he realized that made him unqiue. This wasn't anything different. PRESENT DAY: Brine returned to the waking world with a mission. He was done avoiding it. He would bring the colt back to life one way or the other. Brine walk up to the colt. He was on the bed, head been bleeding from the beating from the metal pipe. Brine growled. It wasn't fare. Detrot was so bad at well, anything, that crime was always present, corruption was high and more then enough foals were homeless or orphans. Brine closed his eyes as he charged his spell. There was no going back now. The entire building shook as Brine released his spell, no doubt alerting everyone else. Brine opened his eyes, his horn smoking from the burst of powerful magic. He look at the colt. His wounds had healed. The colt opened his eyes as he struggle to get up. He was in a strange room. A hotel, which was weird. He thought he had died in a alley. "Hello," said a voice. The colt look up and saw Brine looking at him. "Who are you?" ask the colt. "And why am I here? Am I dead." His white eyes glowed in Brine's presence. "I brought you back to life," said Brine as Dream exited the bathroom. "What was that?.." Dream begin to ask as he saw the Pegasus sitting up on the bed. "What did you do?" ask Dream, staring at the colt. "A bit of Necromancy," said Brine with a grin. "Isn't that illegal to do?" ask the colt, who's eyes were on Dream. He remember seeing him in the alley, fighting the gang members. "Not for me," said Brine. "Oh, I'm Brine and this is Dream." Dream waved his hoof at him. "I don't have a name, but they just call me Herobrine," said the colt as he suddenly shock the bed with lighting. "Whoa!" yelled Brine. "That's some powerful electrokinesis right there!" "Sorry," said Herobrine as the electricity blots stop. "I can't control them. They just come and go for me." "It's ok," said Brine. "I can train you both." "What to do you mean, both?" ask a confuse Dream. "Your my friend," said Brine, turning his head to Dream. "I can train you in the arts. You will need it." Suddenly there was a knock at the door, follow by a familiar voice. "Hey, it's the cops, let us in," said an officer on the other side. Dream panic, while Herobrine look he was about to pass out. Brine knew this was bad as Dream pick up and shoved a dresser in front of the door. "What are we going to do?!?" cried Dream as Brine look to the large window. "We are going to jump," said Brine, getting the looks from the both of them. "We are going to do what?!" yelled Dream as a axe came through the door. The officer had gotten a axe and was trying to get in. "We are going to JUMP!" yelled Brine as he smash himself through the window and fell to the ground below, as the officer finished ripping the door apart. "Alright, I'm not staying here," said Herobrine as he too, jump, with Dream shortly following behind. The three colts land in a pool, completely drench, but alive. "Let's get out of here," said Brine as a spear throw pass his face. The three turned and saw a group of police stallions with a familiar face among them. "You're going to pay for this freaks!" yelled the Gangster as he pulled out a double edged sword, with the corrupted cops pulling out sticks and clubs. "Corrupted cops," Herobrine growled. "Let me handled them." Dream look at him with concern. "But..." Dream begin to speak, but Herobrine had begun to walk towards the group with a glare on his face, his hoofs charging with electricty. "So the dead colt wants to fight us again," said the Gangster with a wicked smile on his face. "Do you not know what happened the last time?" He wasn't able to finish his sentence as a massive blast of electricty struck him in the chest, killing the Gangster. The cops looked at Herobrine, who's eyes were glowing more then ever now, his hoofs charged at their max level. And he was going to unleash it all. "Take this you dirty cops!" yelled Herobrine as he unleashed his energy buildup, striking the corrupt cops with deadly lethality. "Ahh!!" yelled the cops as they begin to crumple into dust. Few were still standing after his attack, many crumpling into dust. The rest of the cops ran off, but one wasn't fast enough and was grab by Herobrine. Herobrine flew upwards with the corrupted cop. After staring at him for a couple of minutes, he drop the cop, killing the corrupted officer. Brine and Dream look on with shock in their eyes as Herobrine returned to the ground. "Let's get out of here," said Herobrine. "I'm done with Detrot." The three agree and Brine teleported them away, leaving behind several bodies in it's wake. //-------------------------------------------------------// I see a Dreamer //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note This is one of the songs for my Soundtrack for this story. https://youtu.be/Qzw6A2WC5Qo It sounds good for Dream's training. I see a Dreamer "I need a rest," said Herobrine as he lay his back on a tree, exhausted. The three friends had been running for days and were in need of some rest before they killed themselves. "Let's rest here for a bit," said Brine as he collapse onto a rock. Despite being a top runner, he couldn't do this all of the time. "Dude, that was h***," said Herobrine, as he lay on another rock. Dream couldn't help but agree with him. "Hey Hero," ask Dream. "What happened to you?" Herobrine give him a sad look. Thanks to that god da* Ultranationist Party," groan Herobrine. "They keep blocking the money Detrot needs to live. I'm starting to think they are doing it on purpose to gain power." "You really think of that?" ask Dream. "I don't this stuff. Never got into politics as much as others." "There a group of Ponies in Canderlot that have a lot of twisted motives," said Herobrine. "They seem to want to dominate the world." "That sounds bad," said Brine as he sharpen his sword. "I going out for a bit, hopefully to get us something to eat." "Alright," said Dream as Brine disappeared from view. "How did you two meet?" ask Herobrine. "He saved my life," said Dream as he sat down. "It wasn't great back where I came from. My town, even my parents... They tried to kill me." Herobrine look on in horror as Dream shed some tears. He didn't know that happen to Dream. "I'm so sorry," said Herobrine. "I had no idea. Why in the world would they do such acts against their child?!" "It's because of my eyes," said Dream as he pulled his mask, showing Herobrine his scarred face. "I got a power boost trying to help a filly from some bullies and they thought I was a curse." The two sat in silence for a while. Herobrine look at Dream with concern. He wanted to help him, but he didn't know what to do. Then a idea came to him. "Follow me Dream," said Herobrine as he got up and walk deeper into the woods. Curious, Dream followed him. "Why do you want me out here?" ask Dream as the two colts entered a small clearing. "I want to teach you some of my skills," said Herobrine. "I know how to use swords, but you can be greater, if you train." Dream was speechless. He didn't even know how to response to something like this. "I... would LOVE too!" yelled Dream as he throw his hoofs around Herobrine. "Alright then," said Herobrine as he broke a branch and toss it to Dream. "Let's get started." For the next few hours, Herobrine put Dream to his limits, running, climbing trees without help(he was surprising good at it). "You are doing great!" yelled Herobrine as Dream practice some moves on a nearby tree, destroying it in half. "Thanks," said Dream, slightly blushing. He was so glad that his mask hid his blushing face. Suddenly, there was a loud howl, coming from in the woods. "What was that!" yelled Herobrine. Being from the city, he had no idea what that sound was. But Dream did. "Timberwolves," growled Dream as he pick up a decent size stick and smash it into the head of a Timberwolf that came out. Just then, the rest of the pack came out and surround Dream and Herobrine, who was scared out of his wits. Dream, though, wasn't. One of the Timberwolves jump at Dream, who grab it by it's tail and throw it into a tree as another pick him up in it's jaws and tried to eat him. "Dream!" yelled Herobrine as Dream rip the Timberwolves jaw apart. Herobrine saw Dreams eyes. They were pure green. The rest of the pack attack Dream, only for him to rip them apart. Only the Alpha remain and he look mad. "Come and get me," said Dream, waving the Timberwolf over to him. The Alpha Timberwolf latch himself at Dream and got a nasty punch in the jaw from him, sending it into a tree. "That's all you got!" yelled Dream as he grab a piece of wood that was shape like a axe and charge at the Timberwolf. Using his skills, Dream pounce onto the Timberwolf, slashing it with the wooden axe before being thrown off into a tree. "That's it!" yelled Herobrine as he charged up his electrokinesis and shot some lighting at the Timberwolf, scaring it. Dream, taking advantage of the moment, grab the axe and leap at the Timberwolves's neck, stabbing through the neck, killing it. "Thanks for that," said Dream, as he wipe his head, covered in blood. "I needed that." "Your welcome," said Herobrine. "I'm Impress," said a familiar voice. Dream and Herobrine turned around and saw Brine, standing their with a bag on his back. "That was nice fighting." "You saw everything?" ask Dream as Brine jump from his place. "Yep," said Brine. "I was going to intervene, but once you started to fight, I figured I would just watch." "We are too," said a unknown voice. The three colts turned around and saw a band of soldiers, all stallions. Their leader approach them. "Who are you?" ask Brine. Their Leader chuckled. "I am known as Noone," said Noone. "And I have a special offer for you three mighty foals." "We aren't actually mighty," said Herobrine, blushing a bit, but enough to hid it. "Oh you are though," said Noone. "I seen you colts fight and you might well, enough to battle even gods like Celestia." "What ever you want, we don't any part of it," said Brine, surprising Noone. "Why not?" ask Noone. "I am giving you a generous offer and you rather refuse it?" "Are you sure about this," said Dream, whispering to Brine. "Yes," whisper Brine. "Somethings not right with them. I can sense it." "Well in that case," said Noone. "You have to die." "What?" said Herobrine as the group pulled out spears and crossbows. "What's going on!?" "The boss wants you dead," said Noone. "Kill them!" "RUN!" yelled Dream as the three friends took off, with the armed group behind them. //-------------------------------------------------------// We are the Danger //-------------------------------------------------------// We are the Danger Merry Christmas Everypony! The three ran as spears and arrows flied through the air, barely missing them. "The Boss wants you all DEAD!" yelled one of the privates as he fired a arrow at Dream, missing him barely. "What are we going to do?!" yelled Herobrine as Dream stop running and turned around. "What are you doing!" yelled Herobrine. "I'm not running anymore," said Dream as one of the mercenaries charged at him. Dream, surprising everyone, grab the nearest mercenaries and throw him into the tree. There was a large crack. "We must fight back," said Dream as he got into a fighting pose. Brine and Herobrine look at each other before joining Dream. Soon, the rest of the mercenaries, with Noone arrived. Noone noticed the three foals were missing, with one of his mercenaries groaning from a tree. Suddenly, Dream leaped from a tree, eyes glowing and smash the ground, sending the group flying while Herobrine and Brine attack from behind. Noone himself was thrown into a tree. Vision blurry, he stand back up. His men were being thrown around like flies. Herobrine took out another of the mercenaries by shocking the stallion senseless with his electricty. "Duke!" yelled Brine. Herobrine duck as a spear went over his head and into a tree. Brine shed his claws and went beast mode, taking out four mercenaries with his tentacles. Another ran away, terrified of the enraged colt. "Argh!" yelled Brine as he latch himself into the air, claws ready. He landed onto of a mercenary and shred the stallions face. Dream, meanwhile, was knocking out any mercenary he spot when he saw a mercenary had gotten hold of Herobrine and was pulling a knife. Then, without thinking, he pick up a axe and charged. The mercenary was decapited before he could even know he was there. "Thanks for that," said Herobrine getting his breath. "Take this," said Dream as he toss Herobrine a sword. He put his mask and ran off into the battle. After a while, Noone and the rest of the mercenaries ran off, leaving their dead. "Go run off!" yelled Dream. "I'm tired," said Brine as he unshed his claws. "Let's find a place to sleep, far away from here." The three walk through the woods for a bit, though it was getting dark. Evenaulty, they found a nice spot. "I'll make a fire," said Brine as he contracted his magic. Seconds later, a fire formed in front of them. "I think Manehattan is nearby," said Herobrine as the three sat by the fire. Dream pulled out a loft of bread. "I found this in the pocket of one of those mercenaries," said Dream as he used a knife to cut it up. "We can go their tomorrow to get more supplies," said Brine. The three ate in silence. Finally, Herobrine spoke up. "Are you ok dude," he ask Brine. "You seem.. off." "They will come back to finish us off," said Brine. "I'm worried about your safely." "We can handled anything they throw at us," said Dream as he stand up. "We took them back their, as a team. " "I agree," said Herobrine as he stand up too. "We are stronger together. We are Raiders." "Raiders, huh?" said Brine. "I like a name." The three colts fell asleep on the ground, as they had no cots, listening to the sounds of the forest. … The rising sun rose high in the sky, waking up the three colts as they prepare to leave. "So do you know where Manehattan is?" ask Brine as he put his sword away. "Yep," said Herobrine. "It's over that hill over there." The three walk through the forest, listening to the chirping of the birds. Evenaulty, they walk over the hill Herobrine mention. The three look. There was the big city of Manehattan. "Here it is," said Herobrine. "Let's try not to get into any trouble here," said Dream, putting on his mask. "I agree," said Brine. The three foals enter the busy city. There were ponies everywhere, which wasn't helping Herobrine's nerves. But something seemed wrong. "Why is everyone so quiet?" ask Dream. "I don't know," said Brine. "But I'm going to find out." Brine walk up to a mare. She seemed off and scared about her surroundings. "What's wrong?" ask Brine. "That mafia boss and his henchmen have the city under control and if you mess up, you die," said the mare shaking. "I sure we can take care of that sucker," said Brine grinning. The mare shook her head. "He's too powerful. And how can a foal like you stop him?" "I have my ways," said Brine before teleporting away, leaving the mare in awe. Dream and Herobrine meanwhile had gotten themselves some food when Brine reappeared. "So what's causing all of this silence?" ask Dream. "A mafia Boss and his goons have this city as hostages and I think we should help them," said Brine. "A mafia Boss," said Herobrine. "There's plenty of them in Detrot, but them in Manehattan is news to my ears." "Well, I think we should take care of them," said Brine. Dream look at Brine. "And blow are cover?" ask Dream. "We haver to," said Herobrine. "Mafia Bosses are bad news to any city. They make ponies life miserable." "So do we agree to stop this mafia boss?" ask Brine, raising his hoof up. "Say I if you do." "I do," said Herobrine, raising his hoof. This just left Dream to decide. "I do," said Dream, pulling out his axe and shield. "Let's get them." The three mighty colts walk towards the tower that housed the Mafia's headquarters. Some of the ponies looked at them weird, but didn't saw anything. The three colts walk inside and begin to form a plan to stop them. "So any ideas on how we get to the roof," said Brine. "I don't want us to have to fight the guards on the way there, they might try to run." "I have a idea," said Dream as he walk over to a vent cover and rip it off. "We crawled through here." "Better then nothing," said Brine as he followed Dream into the vent, with Herobrine going last, covering their tracks. MEANWHILE: OUTSIDE DETROT: "Are you sure you see them went into Detrot this way?" ask a officer to a mare. "Yes," said the Mare. "They came over that hill into the city. I haven't seem them sense then." "Well, thank you anyway mam, " said the officer as he left the house and join the other officers over the hill. The officers were searching through the area when one of them smelled something. "Um guys, do you seem something burnt," ask the officers. "It's coming from this direction!" yelled one of the officers. The Stallions ran after the smell, thinking someone's house was on fire. But what they would find would be more terrifying then that. The officers stumped upon Dream's old village, wreck with obsidian spikes, bodies and burn houses. "What happened here?" ask one of the officers as he look at one of the spikes that had three ponies impaled on it. "What Monster could have down this." MEANWHILE: BACK IN MANEHATTAN: "Are we getting close to the room?" ask Brine as they countied to crawl their way through the vents. "I am starting to here them more clearly, we're getting close," said Dream. The three colts crawled around until they heard that they knew was the bosses yelling below them. "I want answers now!" yelled the Mafia Boss. "Why is Detrot's profits down by 30%!" Dream watch on through the cover. "When should we strike?' ask Herobrine. "A little bit more time, when he's least expecting something bad to happen," said Dream. "Some colts smash our operations there and killed them," said one of the stallions. It was oblivious the boss was not happy. "And who are these colts?" ask the Mafia boss. "Now!" yelled Dream as he smash the vent, dropping the three into the room and scaring the daylights of everyone in the room. "Us!" yelled Herobrine as he unleash a massive burst of electricty, dusting one of the ponies in the room. "Run!" yelled the ponies as they ran out of the room. The Mafia Boss stay, though and grab Herobrine. "You are really going to regret that," said the boss smiling as he threw Herobrine out of the window and flew after him. MEANWHILE: IN THE STREETS: "This was suppose to be a normal visit to Manehattan," thought Celestia as she watch the foal feel from the building to a hard crash to the ground. The foal got back up, allowing Celestia to get a good look at him. But he quickly dodge to the right as a older Stallion swung a axe at him. "You and your friends will DIE!" yelled the stallion as he kick Herobrine in the gut, sending him into a sign. Celestia watch on in horror. The stallion was going to kill the colt. But before she could do anything, a massive blast of blue, soul fire sent the stallion flying. Leaving the colt and two more. Celestia saw the one who threw the fire ball. He was wearing jeans and a black leather jacket, with a sword she could not recognize, alone with a colt with a mask, carrying a crowbar, wearing green. "You ok Hero?" ask Brine as he help Herobrine up to his feet. "Yeah," said Herobrine as the trio dodge a huge rock that was thrown at them. "Who dares try to burn the king of Manehattan!?" yelled the stallion. Brine took a step. "You are no king and you sure don't belong her!" yelled Brine as he latch himself in the air and unsheding his claws, smash the Mafia Boss in the face. Celestia watch in shock as the stallion flew to the ground in a massive crash that made a crater. But the Colt fell down unharmed. She saw he had great power. "It's all you got kid!" yelled The Mafia Boss as he crawled out of the crater and throw his axe at Brine, who swiftly dodge the attack and disappeared. Suddenly, Brine reappeared behind him with his right hoof with a black claw and what Celestia saw next shock her to her core. Brine reach out and stab his black claw into the stallion's eye and rip it out. "Argh!!!" yelled the stallion as he hold over his use to be bleeding eye as black tentacles came out of the ground and rip out the stallions other eye, pouring out more blood. Inside the the mind of the stallion, he opened his eyes and saw a dark cloak Colt in front of him. It look similar to the colt that just rip his eyes, but he had a noticed difference. He had a crown on his head. "I'll see you in the underworld," said the colt as the ground beneath the stallion gave way. Brine check the stallions pulse. There was none. Brine stared at the Boss. "What just happened?' he ask himself as he heard sirens. "We need to get out of here." Quickly, he grab Herobrine and Dream and teleported away from the scene, leaving behind a lifeless Mafia Boss and a very concern Celestia.
