“Do you understand your mission,”said Celestia with a straight ,direct tone.

“Yes sister,but I still don’t understand why you are unable to join us;it’s a new piece of land,a new sense of adventure,a new feel of…”

“I’m sorry Luna,unfortunately I have an extremely important meeting with the education board,something about adding new magic classes to the curriculum!”Spoken Celestia,clearly trying to mask her excitement.

“Don’t worry Luna,I’m sure it’ll still be alot of fun nonetheless, just imagine what new things we’ll see,what’s the view like from above,I’m just so excited!,”said the Princess of love,her voice reflecting from the marble finish of the walls of the royal castle in a high pitch tone.

“In that case,you must go at once, once you arrive at your destination,the full sun will be shining and you should have the chance of exploring in broad day-light,”spoken Celestia softly but clearly.”Head East from here and in about 750 miles straight and you should reach this new land…”

“Well what are we waiting for Luna,lets get a move on!,”said Cadance.

In a flash ,Cadance grabbed Luna’s right hoof and dragged it to the balcony,where the crescent moon had only started to descend into a slumber only for the glimmering sun to take over its place.With a hug and a reassuring nod from Celestia,the Princess duo both start to wave their wings up and down until they generated enough power to start their journey and soar through the sky,gliding through and above the fluffy vanilla clouds.As they calmly flew away ,the Canterlot Castle along with the whole city of Canterlot only grew smaller and smaller until it became out of sight and all that was there beyond infront was the endless mysterious horizon.Beneath the royal alicorns,the green pasture shone like an emerald at night.It was
calming.Calming.Something Luna hasn’t felt in a while because of her Night Shift,guarding the dream realm,making sure people like her beloved sister get a great night sleep.

They flew effortlessly,as well as looking around to see all the landmarks,like the home of a certain newly appointed princess,along with her 5 best friends.

“Hmm,maybe I should say hello to Twilight…ahh,there’s the Golden Oak library,and Sugar Cube Corner,and look,there’s the Castle of the Two Sisters!,”exclaimed Cadance,clearly enjoying the wonderful scenery.

“We simply must keep our mission in focus,we may not get there if we keep being distracted right now!,”shouted Luna,trying to beat the sudden violent winds in a roaring test.
“However I do wonder what our young Twilight may be doing,maybe trying to learn a new spell or even partying with Pinkie Pie and the rest of the group,I’m sure I’ll find out in their dreams later…”

The longer they flew,the more unique landmarks they passed, making sure to examine it and think what makes it so iconic and unique just to pass the long travel time.

The horizon starts to slowly become brighter,switching the calming navy blue with an exciting dazzling,radiant half sun.

“Hmm…strange…I feel my magic becoming weaker and weaker,like it’s draining out of me,”said Luna,sounding more and more concerned.

“Oh I do feel it as well…this can’t be good….”said Cadance,attaching an obvious sarcastic tone.

As they got further away from Canterlot and more close to uncharted territory,their magic slowly faded away until…
BANG!
The wings on the alicorns suddenly start to flap to an irregular pattern and then quickly switching to stopping altogether.

“OH CRAP,THIS CERTAINLY WAS NOT THE PLAN!!,”screamed Luna,moving her hooves uncontrollably,not knowing what to do at the sudden drop.

“QUICK,GRAB MY HOOVES AND SPREAD YOUR HIND LEGS,I HAVE AN IDEA!!,”replied Cadance in a confident tone.

With no other alternative,Luna holds on to Cadance with a firm grip and follows her instructions word for word.As they continue to plummet to the ground,it stated to slow and eventually…

“WAIT I CAN SPREAD MY WINGS BUT I CAN’T FLAP THEM…QUICK,SPEAD ‘EM,”yelled Cadance.

Without hesitation,both alicorns spread their feathery wide wings and hoped a slow decent would start,eventually,their hopes would be delivered.

Finally on the ground,sweet solid land.

The land is dangerously dry,with nothing on it for miles towards the horizon but one withered dying daisy,sitting and hoping for someone to put it out of its misery.

“What is this place?1?”Questioned Luna,clearly amused and startled while looking around.

“Ugh,and why is it so humid,it’s already bad enough in the summer of Canterlot,but this,this place has new levels!”Replied Cadance, still just as startled as Luna.

“I must assume this must be the place Celestia was talking about…”

“Where in Equestria are we!,”exclaimed a baffled Luna,slowly looking around and taking in the dry,depressing surrounding.

“If this is the place,Celestia didn’t us give any warnings about sudden magic loss…or extremely hot temperatures!”Said Cadance,her voice becoming increasingly dry and filled with worry.

“I suggest we split up,we may be able to cover more ground this way and may save time and possibly discover a way to get our magic back in the meanwhile,”spoken Luna,making an impression to sound positive.

“Yes Luna,Good idea! I’ll head south,”agreed Cadance enthusiastically.

“In that case I shall take the North,we should meet back here in about an hour…if that is reasonable with you.”

“Yes of course,we should get a move on before the sun starts to set…,”spoken Cadance,now starting to make her move towards the south,with the beaming sun gleaming infront of her.

And just like that they head their own ways.

The land was dry,almost like a desert but without any sand.There was nothing worth noting nearby ,just a stick poking out of the ground hopelessly.The air was obviously humid,with sweat eventually dripping off her face.It’s a shame, Luna is always used to the cold,dark,winter nights instead of her sister,who’s much better suited to the scorching sun of the summer.

“Hmm,I wonder if I can get a gift for Cadance… she’s quite respectable in thy eyes…”

“She’s the one.”

As Luna continued to move forward,with each step feeling more heavier the more she continued,she finally saw something that wasn’t dry plain land or a pile of dirt.

A cave.

“Oh wow,a cave…A CAVE…FINALLY SHELTER FROM THIS SUFFERING HEAT!”yelled Luna in her canterlot voice;now in a glowing mood.

She darted to the cave using what energy she had left in her exhausted legs.
Once she was in the cave and underneath something that isn’t the baking sun,she collapsed In happiness and relief.The cool air slowly started to breeze through the cave,cooling down Luna in a instant and filling her with solace.

“IS THAT A POND WITH FRESH COOLING WATER I SEE,YOUR PRINCESS DEMANDS IT!”Shouted a now rejuvenated Luna.

After initially cooling down from the blistering heat,she slowly walked to the pond.It wasn’t a hallucination or a dream,it was real.She started to violently drink the water as if all of Equestria depended on it;making sure it clench up her thirst and refilled her with relief.

“Phew,now that I am recharged,I may be able to search more of this magical cave,maybe it may have a beautiful gift for her,something that’s just shines with beauty like her…”

Luna continued to walk down the intricate path way,making sure not to step on anything sharp.Along the path,the walls were covered in sparkling ,dazzling gems,mixed with the crumbling, old disheveled rocks that could be commonly found; it was a wonderful sight.While she was walked down the path,paying deep attention to how the gems sparkle,something caught the corner of her eye;Luna quickly turns around.But nothing.
Nothing was there.

“How strange,I could have sworn that I have seen something,I’m sure it’s fine…,”whispered Luna to herself as she turned around to see a sparkling ,pink, medium sized gem in a shape of a diamond.It glimmered in the light as Luna glared at its beauty and pure excellence.

“I cannot believe in what I am seeing,it is simply marvellous,I must take it as a gift for my dear and wonderful friend…”

Luna slowly walked towards the gem,feeling nervous ,but after staring at its beauty again and considering her reason again,she slowly removes the gem from the dusty wall;it felt heavy,a good sign and it still shone under the light ,even better.She placed it in her saddle pockets.All of a sudden,the roars of something appeared as a shocked Luna turned around as fast as lightning .Behind her was a monster ,with his cracked horn complimenting its dismantled face,it has wings the size of one Luna,it has holes,making Luna able to see part of the sunlight shinning through.It’s strangely shaped body reminded her of discords body but much thicker and stranger.It’s legs are thick but also covered In holes,as well as its arms.It starts to walk closer and closer…

“STAY BACK YOU FOUL BEAST,”Luna kicked the beast with force,hoping its pain slows it down.

As the beast dropped to the dusty hard ground in agony,Luna started running.

Running for her life,running for Cadance.

She swiftly passed a tunnel but she can hear the beast not far behind.It’s roars only amplified by the endless corridors reflecting it…echoing each step and cry of anger.Finally,for what felt like an eternity,Luna was free from the cave but not the beast.

“Finally I’m free,I need to do something…I guess I shall meet with Cadance to deal with this pressing matter.”She,without hesitation, sprints down south,hoping to catch up with Cadance.

While Luna headed north,Cadance headed the opposite direction, south.As she trotted straight down ,she couldn’t help but notice how dry and bland the land is looking as it was the only form of scenery.

“Ouch,this place must have had some better days.”

As she continued walking,Mi Amore Cadenza spots something.

Palm trees.

Shelter from the blistering sun and the crusty, dagger sharp ground.A switch to normal feeling ground and a respectable temperature.She started to dash to it,hoping it isn’t a mirage.As she got closer,the vibrant green from the leaves start to pop with pigments of green and dark green,with the oak brown trunk starting to become more apparent.Once she got there…

“Finally shelter,thank Celestia…oh wow, look,water!”Exclaimed Cadance,filled with joy.

But before deciding to make another dash to the pool,she decides to just stay still and relax, away from the shining sun and beneath the wavy long leaves.It seemed all too nice.A luxury.

“Hmph,I guess it’s time to move on….”

She had decided to head to the pond,maybe for a drink…or self thought and reflection.
Once there,the pond glistened of promise and pride,showing a bright pink ruler of the glamorous Crystal Empire with metal hoof guards oozing of gold accents,and with smooth violet eyes staring above, staring back at the real self.

“Maybe today…”

Cadance takes a sip of the ‘sparkling’ water.Delightful.Looking up,she noticed clouds are starting to form,dark,stormy clouds, slowly covering the cocktail-blue ,dreamy sky and along with sunshine.

“Hmm,I could have sworn that is was blistering hot and a raging sun here not too long ago…maybe I need to get a move on then.”

Without another thought, she starts to continue south,hoping to find any form of landmark or natural occurring structures that could interest her in any way as she slowly started to get bored.

Finally,she found it.A ginormous hill;conveniently there was a path,a dusty and muddy path,maybe considered too slippery to climb on.Not for Cadance.The hill was mostly covered In dull ,uninspiring grey stone,except for the straight narrow pathway to the top.Feeling as there is probably a chance for exploration and the fact there’s better to do,she decides to take on the challenge.

“OH,I hope I can find something for Luna,maybe today…”Cadance said,her voice glowing with hope and confidence.

The climb slowly became a challenge ,the higher she got, the more she had to battle the ever increasing harsh winds,like it was angry with her.Her hooves became all muddy and her hooves guards became stained with slimy mud however her hope was still clean with purity and pride.

“FINALLY,ONLY TOOK AN ETERNITY!”Gasped Cadance in relief once she got to the top.

Since reaching the top,it became ice-cold.The wind didn’t stop one bit,but instead blew even harder,like it was now trying to hurt her,the ground was still covered in mud and Cadance’s amulet got caught in the cross fire as it was now stained in mud.

On the corner of her eye,she spots it,a beautiful simple rose,with the crimson red petal aswell as the verdant stem flowing down.

It’s perfect.

“It’s amazing,I’ve…I’ve never seen such a luscious and a pleasing flower as you,you’ll make the perfect gift for her…”

Slowly Cadance got closer to the flower,eventually she got so close,you can see each petal flowing alongside each other aswell as the stem keeping a straight back,glistening with beauty ,ready to surprise anyone for any occasion.Without hesitation,Cadance picks up the perfectly circular shaped rose and places it carefully in her saddle bag.

“ROOOAAAR”

“What was that…”

All of a sudden,a beast trudged from behind a stone structure ,it had two horns on its disheveled face,it’s eyes are a burning red,ready for suffering he wants to enforce,his legs seemed thin but they are razor sharp,even with holes in them,it’s arms extended to his waist,also fitting the trend of thin yet strong and sharp.It had a body like no-other;holes with balls of fire in them,prepared to shoot at any given time.

Cadance quickly examined the beast and realised;she has no chance of defeating such an inbred beast.On her own.The best she can do is to distract it.Swiftly,she kicks a rock at the beasts face,making sure to aim with pin-point accuracy.

“Take that you Foul beast,bye for now!”

Cadance gives a quick wave and quickly jumped on the edge of the mountain but she could still hear the violent screeching of the beast.

It’s not far behind.

All of a sudden,BANG.Balls of pure fire rained down from above,like it’s raining heavily.It’s blazing fire scorching the little life of any plant nearby.

‘Oh crap,Luna I need you now more than ever…’

She continued to slide down the mountain in the direction of North,hoping to catch up with Luna for her assistance.Even more balls of terror rained down,but she still kept hope,and the resilient rose.Once off the slide,she started to sprint as fast as her terrified hooves can,but the beast was still near,it was still behind her.As she kept running,she was starting to see a dark blue figure emerge with a crescent moon on her chest.Finally it’s the light in the shadow of darkness.

“Seems like she’s also ran into some trouble aswell…”

“OH CADANCE FINALLY,we simply must destroy these foul beasts of Tartarus and send them straight back!”Exclaimed Luna,clearly nervous and stressed.

“Like wise,Luna,like wise.Anyways,how would we even destroy these not very sought after mythical beasts,”spoken cadance with a hint of sarcasm.

Just as Cadance had spoken those words,the two beasts slowly started forming into one like melting chocolate and pouring it on top of a sponge cake.

The wings multiplied into 4,still with the same amount of holes, it’s body grew bigger and it’s arms became longer by great lengths.It’s tail extended like a whip as it’s legs also became more sturdier,also with the holes originally on it.It’s roars could be hear for miles,certainly enough to explode ear drums.

Cadance and Luna looked behind in shock and horror as the mythical beast turned into one, set on hell-bent destruction.Without any plan,they start sprinting north,trying anything to get away from the beast.

“Oh crap,what do we do Luna!”Cadance said,hoping for a plan in return.

“I unfortunate have no clue,just keep running!”Spoken Luna,hoping for a miracle in the near future.

As they were running,their fine leather saddles kept bouncing left and right continuously until they’ve made contact.All of a sudden,a magical aura escapes from the saddles bag and starts to surround Luna and Candace.They both look at each other with determined eyes.No words are needed.The magical aura went away and they started to fall,but they now able to open their wing and fly.They’re charged up.

“OH FINALLY,GOOD TIMING,”screamed Cadance ,battling the sudden winds with her voice.

“YES,BUT WHAT EVEN HAPPENED!”Said Luna

“MAYBE THAT CAN BE ANSWERED LATER,WE HAVE BIGGER PROBLEMS BEHIND US!”

Luna and Cadance turn around to head south,heading straight for the beast,it’s payback time.

The beast roared,making sure it’s dominance is being felt.In his 20/20 vision,he could see two figures with wings charging at high speed, heading straight for it.
Luna flanked left and shot a laser beam with a navy blue center and black outline at it ,hoping it did some damage.Cadance banked right and shot a laser beam with a pink aura and a purple outline at it,hoping it caused some damage.But nothing.Both Alicorns landed next to each other behind the beast,thinking of what to do next.

“Well that didn’t work,at least it felt cool,”spoken Cadance with a sarcastic tone.

“Yes I do agree but the beast still stands,hmm…maybe try to aim the beams at its neck,it seems to be the weak spot as it keeps covering it continuously.”

“It’s better than nothing.”

With no other alternative,the alicorn duo start blitzing the beast and barraging it with more charged beams towards it,making sure to keep it on target.The beast can only look as each beam hits it’s reinforced plates that surround its body and neck.After the cloud of dust clears,nothing.Then in an instant,fireballs start raining from the sky,each glowing with an orange outline.

Cadance, leaving no time to waste, quickly strafes to the left while her partner strafes to the right without any hesitation.

“OUCH,THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE!lA shocked Cadance yelled out.

“GOOD GRACIOUS ,THE FIRE POWER,NOW WHAT!Yelled back Luna,trying to overcome the sudden shock.

“WAIT I MAY HAVE AN IDEA BUT…I NEED YOU TO TRUST ME…”yelled Cadance,instead of fighting the wind for superiority,it’s the whooshing of the fire balls raining down that blew the wind across her still silky-smooth mane.

The beast still stared at the alicorn duo but then all of a sudden,Cadance starts to charge at it,horn at the ready,she shot out a beam,but it was different.It oozed out a bloody pink surrounded by an outline of a glimmering rosé pink.The beast ,without reacting, takes the hit,signifying no damage has been dealt.

But something felt wrong,where had Luna disappeared to…

Cadance charges in again,blasting beams of a seemingly poisonous shots,making sure it’s still on target.
Finally the beast notices what’s happening,his armour had slowly started to dishevel ,with brown crusty patches appearing and holes crumbling away and being carried by the wind.

“ITS NOW OR NEVER,”yelled a familiar distant voice,only covered by the smoke of the warfare.

Without hesitation,Cadance falls back,only confusing the heavy beast more and more.

“If this doesn’t work, I don’t know what will,”said Luna,seeming confident yet having abit of nervousness in her usually calming tone.

A dark sphere was formed,filled with nothing but darkness and raw magic.
She carefully starts to shoot a straight beam at it,channeling all of her energy into it,Mi Amore Cadenza follows suit.Slowly the sphere gains a tint of pink and eventually evolves to a pure rose pink,shining full of hope and dreams.

“Now for the ‘attention’ part…HEY DEMON,WE HAVE A GIFT.”

Conveniently,the dust had settled back into the ground,giving a perfect view of the retched beast.

“ON MY COUNT…THREE…TWO…ONE…NOW!’Yelled Luna,using her canterlot voice ,only used in special occasions.

The ball of energy travels the distance in a blink of an eye,hitting its target and obliterating it into pieces which scattered everywhere.Finally,a beast who’s pure intent on destruction no more but just mere specks of dust.

In their eyes,relief glows amongst the dusty clouds and crusty ground.The purely fluffy clouds amongst the bright blue sky start to spread out,announcing a shinning beautiful and glimmering sun;glowing above the rest,showing its dominance.Luna and Cadance looked at each other.

“Oh yea,I forgot to give this to you!”Voiced Cadance quickly,remembering to give her present.

“Ah Yes,I believe I may have something of a gift as well,”Acknowledged Luna,reaching her hoof into her saddle,scrambling for the gem.

Once the both had their gift infront of them,they both looked at each other,gradually starting to blush,with a pink mark slowly appearing.

“Wow Cadance, this scent is most simply delightful and divine,I am simply lost for words…”

“This the best thing every,it shines and sparkles even after this battle,this is amazing.”Replied Cadance

After gifting each other their presents,Cadance ,with eyes glistening as they become moist,walks over to Luna and hugs her tightly,showing her affection towards her special pony.Luna embraces the emotional hug as tears start oozing out of Luna’s and Cadance’s eyes…

“Princess Mi Amore Cadenza,will you be my special pony…”please.

“Yes,I’d love to…I thought you’d never ask…”
thank hoofness she asked.

They embrace again,this time as officially a lovely couple of the royal elite of the canterlot society.

“I believe it is in our best interest to ditch this hell spawn before more demons start to appear and chase us!”

“Good point,wouldn’t want to deal with another one of those;now,let’s go,we’ll talk and fly!”

Luna and Cadance start to generate thrust from their wings,eventually gaining enough energy to jet off and away from the disheveled old grounds.

“Right,so who’s going to tell Celestia…”

“I perhaps may have a solution;we do it together.”

“Hmm,brilliant idea;sounds like a plan then!”

As they continue to fly across the acres and acres of agricultural land beneath them,and the fluffy clouds;the sun started to set,illuminating a pink-ish purple glow glistening from the horizon as the sky slowly transitioned into an orange light,maybe reflecting the romantic mood.

“It feels spectacular to be free from the chains of admittance!”

“Ah yes same here,it feels good to finally admit it,I can’t wait for what the near future has in store...”

“We can only hope for love and true happiness …”spoken Luna ,now with blushed cheeks and with a more reserved tone,like Fluttershy.

“Oh don’t be silly,of course that will happen!”said Cadance,now in a smiling mood,trying to drag Luna into it.

Silence.

They both look towards the now shining and glowing horizon,thinking about the statement raised by Luna,but Cadance thinks little of it.

As they got closer to Canterlot,it’s buildings and castle slowing rising,still reigning supreme and it’s shops bustling with members of the normal and elite part of the societal structure.
They see the balcony;with its sparkling glass doors covered in gold accents already opened, leading in with a crimson red carpet with gold accents on the side and carved pillars with intricate designs.There was a certain white pony princess waiting for them.A pony with flowing aqua blue,wealthy purple and it’s natural green mane.A pony with a luxurious necklace and crown decked with jewels from the many different regions of Equestira and who is also Co-ruler of Equestria.It’s Princess Celestia!
As Luna and Cadance got closer to the balcony,they had slowed down their desent and pointed their hooves up just a little bit, making sure to make a smooth and respectable landing.

As Luna and Cadance walked into the marbled room,Princess Celestia was standing around a pillar,looking excited.

“So,how was your adventure into new territory,” asked Celestia,obviously excited to hear any new discoveries!

“Oh dear sister,trust us,it was a long and exhausting journey,but still packed of adventure!”

“Oh surely it can’t be that exhausting!”
Exclaimed Celestia with a comedic manner.

“Oh sister,you have no idea…”Luna spoken as she walked towards the sparkling crystal white throne room behind Princess Celestia while holding hooves with Cadance,showing the ‘bond’ of a life time…
