From the otherside of the tree a mares voice is heard "because that's what the weather pegasi want and aunt celestia has moved the sun closer today and i don't know why" The stallion froze in place for a moment before getting up slowly he moved towards the tree and peeked around it a bit embarrassed somepony heard him "sorry.. About that" he said in a apologetic voice She giggles"its ok everpony has been asking that question"she is levitating a book called the arcane arts and is half way through it His jaw hung open a little but he quickly closed it he had never seen such a beautiful mare before, it took him a moment to notice she had both wings and a horn "your a alicorn.." He said softly "i have never seen another alicorn aside from luna and celestia.." He thought to himself for a moment "wait you said aunt... You mean to tell me your related to celestia!?" She looks at him"well...yes"she smiles"why do you sound so surprised?" "Well.. Princess I assume you are a princess, I have never seen royalty out here by the everfree forest before... That and you don't seem to have any guards with you" he replied sitting down a few feet away from her "I didn't think I would need some"she replied "however I always come here on this day of the week" "I see, then again if a bunch of ponies knew you were hear or you had a bunch of guards it would make it hard to stay decreet and enjoy some quiet reading time... That I'm ruining." He slowly realized he was more than likely bothering you "I'm sorry princess to have bothered you I was not thinking" "Its ok I don't mind"she said softly"I like to have some company from time to time" He inched a little closer to her and laid down on the ground still staying a few feet away "i'm star" he said softly "I'm cadence* "Cadence..? that's a very lovely name" he said before he realized his tone sounded a little nervous, correcting his voice he looked at her book "is it a good read?" "Ah...yes twilight recomended it to me"she said before placing a book mark in it and closing it he swallowed a little hard not sure if he was bothering her or not "you sure you don't mind me being here?" "Well I read play xbox with aunt Luna and go on flights" "i have never heard of a X-Box before but you enjoy flying? do you ever get bored living in the castle?" "Well...sometimes but I try not to be so...how do you put it...discrete about at it" "Well princess if you don't have a time you have to be back or feel like getting out I'm mostly here in the afternoon and at night, I enjoy stare gazing if you want to join me" "Oh I would love to can I invite aunt Luna"she says with a smile "sure" he said nervously though he wanted it to be just her he was not the type to be rude "if you think she would like it then i dont see why not" "Well she is the princess of the night maybe she won't think she needs to"she says as she starts to doubt the thought as exited as he was to hear that he contained it very well and was still polite in offering "still, invite her and see" he said with a smile "even if she does not come i'm sure she will like the fact you asked" "Ok I will but what if she doesn't come and thinks I'm trying to distract her" "do you really think she would believe you were trying to distract her?" he asked "i would hope she would just see it as a kind gesture on your behalf, i know she has duties and all but family is important too and i'm sure she feels that, however if she cant come.. well it can be just us.. i mean if thats ok with you, if not you could invite somepony else to come along" he instantly felt like kicking himself for saying that "Ok I wanted aunt luna to come because she created the night sky but now it seems a stupid idea"she giggles "i guess it will be just us then" he said happily slowly getting up "i do hope to see you sometime princess i'm sure you know just how lovely the night sky can be given your aunt created it" slowly getting up the courage he walked over to you, crossing his wing over his chest be gave you a bow, he took your hoof in his giving it a gentle kiss before setting it back down and standing back up. he folded his wing back to his side. "but for now princess i must be going for now, i have a few things to pick up in town.. it was truly a pleasure to get to talk to you" She blushes slightly"oh no the pleasure was mine and any way I need to head back to the castle before the guards realise I'm gone" he smiled and started to walk off but stopped, looking back at her his eyes meeting hers "princess.. i really do hope to see you again soon." he said in a soft and sincere voice before continuing on "When will we watch the stars?" "i'll be here each night as the sun goes down" he replied looking back and smiling "please come by any time you like" "I will be here tomorow night ok" "sounds like a date"he said blushing a little though it was hard to see "i'll see you tomorrow princess" he called out as he took to the sky
