//-------------------------------------------------------// Hitch and the Parasyte -by Razor 258- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Queen Opaline's castle In the ginormous and intimidating castle of Queen Opaline, the dark purple alicorn Queen was seen still scrutinising the mane five ponies who were known as Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow, Hitch Trailblazer, Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm as well as the little infant dragon Sparky with an irked expression. She has lost count on how many failed attempts that Misty had when it came to capturing Sparky by force so that she can glean its dragon fire magic in order to become more powerful. However, as of today, the alicorn Queen has had enough of all of this failure nonsense and decided to have shift her strategy from capturing the baby dragon to harming the pony species but, she would have to come up with a detrimental plan to do so that does not involve infiltration and simple assaults. Luckily, she had a vicious plan after discovering another planet with the use of her magical pool. "Lily! Grace! Rusty! Blaze! Misty! Be present in the throne room now!" Opaline called her henchmares and henchstallions. As the henchmares and henchstallions heard their Queen calling them. They immediately ceased on all of their job obligations and ran out of their rooms, bowing down to their Queen in the process as a way to greet her with respect and honour. "You called us for something Opaline?" Misty asked. "Yes, I have formulated a genius plan in how to teach these ponies including this aggravating mare Sunny Starscout a daunting lesson in not to mess with me." Queen Opaline told her with a wicked smile. "With all due respects my Queen, what about the infant dragon that you have been asking Misty to pursue and capture for the past couple of times?" Mare Lily asked. "That would have to be postponed until further notices Lily." She told her which Lily nodded in acknowledgement to. "What us this new plan of yours my Queen?" Blaze asked. "Come here and I will show you." The ponies nodded before walking to where Queen Opaline was so that they could see what was being projected on the large screen. During that Misty looked at the round belly of Lily who was pregnant with her and her husband Blaze's daughter after they got married in the throne room and fell in love with one another ever since. "How are you feeling Lily?" Misty asked her friend. "Not so much Misty, it's just a couple of months in before my daughter comes out." Lily replied simply with no concerns of her own health safety. "Cool, I wish you and Blaze the best of luck with raising your daughter!" Misty exclaimed with an exuberant expression. "Cut the chatter Misty, we've got an obligation to do." Grace told her. "Oh u-uh... yes Grace!" As the three mares and two stallions made it to Queen Opaline, they all looked at the projected screen and saw that she was looking at an entirely different planet. "What is this planet your majesty?" Rusty asked. "I've never seen a planet like this before." Misty said with a nonplussed expression. "Henchmares and henchstallions, this is Earth, a planet inhabited by creatures called Humans." Opaline replied simply. "Wow, that is intriguing." Grace commented with an intrigued expression. "But, what are you planning to do?" She asked. "You'll see soon Grace, I have discovered something very detrimental and terrifying in one of the Earth's nations that will surely give all of the pony mares, fillies, colts and stallions a great scare." She told her. The henchmares and henchstallions looked at the screen projector where Opaline zoomed in and displayed a land on the planet Earth. "What is that place?" "This Misty is a country called Japan, one of the most advanced countries on the Earth." Opaline replied which got the mares and stallions perplexed. Not once have they heard of a country like that. Then, they all saw screen projecting the names of the cities in the nation. "Wow, that is a lot of cities." Lily commented with a nonplussed expression. "Perhaps they have a bigger population in this Japan?" Blaze asked his wife. "Oh wow, Osaka? Nagoya? Akita? Kyoto? Those are some interesting city names." Misty commented. "Nows not the time for being impressed with the city names Misty focus." Opaline ordered sternly which Misty nodded to. "So, what's the plan my Queen?" "Watch, I've discovered these unique creatures in the capital of this country known as Tokyo." Opaline replied. The henchmares and henchstallions of Queen Opaline looked at the projected screen again to see it displaying an image of a large and beautiful city which completely flabbergasted them all, they also saw bipedal female and male creatures walking in the city too. "Whoa, now that is one beautiful city." Misty commented with an nonplussed expression. "This Tokyo sure is amazing in every places." Grace commented. "Wow, the technologies are slightly more advanced compared to the society." Blaze commented as he saw some similar levels and more advanced levels of technologies. "Yes yes yes, it is impressive and all but, that's not the subject at hoof." Opaline told them. "Look at what else is going on with these female and male humans." She said as she projected another image. The mares and stallions looked at the screen again to witness a petrifying and grotesque sight. There were these female and male humans seen being slaughtered by monsters who were as interchangeable to the human species who had red tentacles with sharp blades coming out of their head. There was also one who had the ability to open up its entire face revealing it's sharp teeth inside before chomping down on a female human's head, killing her in the process. "Oh my, what a gruesome sight." Misty commented with a green face. "What are those monsters?" Rusty asked while trembling in fear. "Those are some extremely sharp-edged blades if you ask me." Lily commented. "Queen Opaline, what kind of species are those?" Blaze asked. "Those Lily, Grace, Misty, Blaze and Rusty are known as parasytes." Opaline replied. "Parasytes?" Misty asked. "As in those little creatures?" She asked again. "Close enough but, these parasytes have a huge distinction." Opaline told her. "And what is that distinction?" "These parasytes have the abilities to control their hosts minds when they take over their brain by either entering their ears, nostrils and mouths." Opaline delineated. "Once successful, the parasyte takes control of its entire host and gives them unique abilities such as what you all saw there." She finished. The mares and stallions were all beyond shocked and terrified from the information that their Queen delineated for them all. These parasytes do seem to have very powerful abilities judging by how they can overcome their hosts brains, controlling them in the process, in addition, being stabbed by those blades would be very horrible. "Now that is both gruesome and cool." Grace commented with a wicked smile. "Indeed Grace." Opaline nodded to her. Then, she looked back at the projected screen where there were seven unhatched bacterial pods where the parasytes were kept in. "Now, I'm gonna transport these parasytes over to my throne room and have them in my possession." She said with an evil smile. Then, Opaline charged her horn and levitated a bottle of potion on top of the magical pool as the screen projection disappeared. After that, the alicorn Queen poured some purple liquid into the pool which resulted in some dark blue mists appearing as a result. Three seconds later, out came nine green circles that looked like bacterias floating in magical bubbles. "Oh wow, those are like normal yet harmful bacteria to me." Lily commented. "Indeed Lily, and the parasytes are stored in these bacteria." Opaline told her. "So what's the plan?" "Simple, Lily, Blaze, Rusty and Grace. All of you are going to permit these parasytes to enter into your bodies and overcome your brains except for you Lily cause' you're technically pregnant right now with your daughter. After that, you all will be dispatched into the public and assault all of the ponies with your newly acquired abilities from these powerful parasytes!" Opaline ordered. "That way we'll show them the true meaning of fear and why they should never mess with us! Muwahahahahaha!" She laughed in a despicable way as she projected an image of Maretime Bay and its pony mares, fillies, colts and stallions inhabitants. The henchmares and henchstallions all laughed in an execrable way too along with Opaline but Misty was not doing as efficiently as her friends were. Although Queen Opaline's plan does seem a little terrifying yet dastardly but, it was well worth it because, Lily, Grace, Rusty and Blaze are desperate to receive such powers from their Queen herself. However, unknown to Opaline, four of the green bacterias have accidentally floated themselves into the magical pool, sending them floating to Maretime Bay in the process. As the four bacterias entered Maretime Bay through the projected screen from Queen Opaline's castle, two floated into Maretime Bay, one of them floated into the jungle, and one of them floated into Bridlewood. Author's Note First chapter accomplished. //-------------------------------------------------------// Sheriff's duty //-------------------------------------------------------// Sheriff's duty In the beautiful coastal city of Maretime Bay, the earth pony, pegasus and unicorn mares, fillies, colts and stallions were all seen having a casual stroll through the beautiful city like any normal day in their beautiful land. Things were going as smoothly as usual with events going accordingly to plan with no disturbances in sight currently which was a good sign. Within the town, there was a stallion who was seen assisting a pegasus mare in moving most of her packages into her newly opened bread shop after moving from Zephyr Heights to Maretime Bay permanently. The stallion was known as Hitch Trailblazer, the sheriff of Maretime Bay who was seen doing his work in patrolling the ponies and assisting them with their jobs with professionalism and compassion. "Are you sure that you can carry them all Hitch?" "Don't worry ma'am, everything is going accordingly to plan for me. I just have to try and lift these three boxes up." Hitch groaned as he tried to carry up those boxes of supplies and breads however, no matter how much strengths he tries to put, he was unsuccessful. "Oh hey Hitch, you need some help?" When Hitch heard the familiar voice, he looked to his left and saw his crush Sunny Starscout standing there while looking down of him with a soft and pleasant smile. "Oh uh hello Sunny, everything is going accordingly to plan for me right now currently, and I'm in no need for any succour." Hitch told her with an assuring smile. As Sunny watched Hitch trying to lift up those boxes and fail, she let out a giggle before transforming in her alicorn form. After that, she levitated the three boxes out of Hitch's hooves before looking at the pegasus mare. "Don't worry ma'am, I'll help you with these boxes." Sunny volunteered. "Why thank you so much Sunny." "My pleasure." After that, the two mares entered the bread shop with the pegasus mare opening the door for Sunny Starscout, leaving Hitch standing there with a depressed expression over his failure once more. "Don't worry Hitch, there are other things you could assist with, it's not just moving boxes." Hitch told himself. Located on the far west of the town, sheriff Hitch was seen assisting a unicorn mare in setting up her brand new vegetable shop. The mare was seen setting up her shopping stand, while Hitch was seen putting carrots in an orange box, everything was progressing smoothly with no interruptions but, the mare wanted her shop to be completed quicker. "Hitch, how are the carrots going?" The mare asked. "There are other vegetables to be put in these other separated boxes too you know." She told him. "Don't worry ma'am, I'm almost done with these carrots." He told her. "Just give me a minute." He finished as he began to pick up the pace. After grabbing and putting in seven more carrots. Hitch has completed in putting the carrots in the box. "Alright all done." Said Hitch with a smile. "All done ma'am, you can now-" Hitch immediately stopped in his sentence when he saw Sunny in front of him having to have already helped the mare in completing her new vegetable stand as well as emplacing the baskets full of vegetables in their proper areas based on the signs and price tags. The sheriff must've assumed that the mare has completed in setting up her stand with the use of her alicorn magic. "Wow, thank you so much Sunny, you've helped me set up my stand." "You're welcome ma'am." Sunny said with a smile "Just feel free to call me when you need some other stuffs that I can provide you with some much needed assistance." She finished. Hitch could only stand there with a sad expression. Back in the intersection of the city, sheriff Hitch Trailblazer was seen trying to help bring down a colt's balloon that had unfortunately got itself stuck against a tree branch when the colt inadvertently lost his grip on it while he was watching princess Pipp's new video on his phone. As Hitch received this report from the colt himself, he began to assist him the best that he could but, there was one small issue, he wasn't tall enough to grab the string of the balloon, it was too tall. "Sheriff Hitch, is everything okay?" "Everything's okay my little buddy, I just have to try and jump even more higher and better." However, after a couple of more failed attempts. Hitch noticed magic surrounding the balloon, following up with it being pulled down from the tree branch gently so that it does not pop from the amount of pressure that is being put onto it. Hitch looked to see who has helped the little colt and saw that it was none other than Sunny herself again. "Here you go little colt." "Thank you miss Sunny." It was evening now in the city of Maretime Bay, a bunch of mares, fillies, colts and stallions were all seen gathered in the intersection area to thank Sunny Starscout for helping them with their obligations today. "Thank you so much Sunny." "You've really sped up our current tasks today." "You're amazing Sunny!" "Thank you, thank you all for your splendid and heart-warming comments you all. I'm glad to have assisted you all with all of your needs." Sunny told them with a pleasant smile. As the ponies continued to thank the apricot coloured mare for her generous contributions towards the society. Hitch was seen left out and is now a shadow in the crowd, he also tried his best to assist the community with their jobs the best that he could but, it seems that Sunny got all of the attentions ans gratitudes from the ponies once again due to her quick acting as well as her magical powers. "I'm now regarded as a joke at this point." Hitch groaned in annoyance. He was also made fun by the mares: Izzy, Pipp and Zipp on one day too. One minute later, Sunny said goodbye to her pony friends before turning around to look at Hitch who had a dejected expression on him probably due to him not receiving that much gratitude from the pony community that much recently. "Oh Hitchy I'm so sorry that I took over most of your role." Sunny apologized sympathetically as she walked up to the sheriff. "Oh don't worry Sunny, I'm not jealous or anything it's just that um... uh..." Hitch said trying to come up with an excuse but, he had nothing to come up with. "Just what exactly?" "You know what? Nevermind, I need a nap, so... goodnight!" Hitch exclaimed as he rushed past Sunny before making his way into the sheriff's station through the doors leaving Sunny standing there with a perplexed expression of her own. Within the sheriff's station, sheriff Hitch Trailblazer was seen rubbing his head to relieve the vexation from all of his failures in trying to render the much needed assistance to the community ponies today but, he was in no luck as Sunny managed to help them better with the use of her alicorn magic at her disposal at anytime anywhere. "Ugh, I can't believe that I was very incompetent today, it's like the ponies are looking more up to Sunny more than me." Hitch groaned in frustration but, he couldn't be angry with the mare due to her being his crush ever since he was a little colt. The sheriff then looked on the right side of his desk to see a resignation letter that he wrote to consider his resignation as a sheriff since all of the the ponies are now looking up to Sunny now meaning that he will not be needed anytime soon but, he was still thinking about it. "I wonder if the ponies even care about me even since they all consider Sunny as the pony they could count on now." Hitch said to himself "Nothing exhilarating ever happens to me nowadays." He finished. However, unknown to the sheriff, there was a small green bacteria seen landing on his window outside. //-------------------------------------------------------// Infiltration //-------------------------------------------------------// Infiltration Queen Opaline's castle In the castle throne room of Queen Opaline, the alicorn mare was seen looking at her henchmares: Grace and Lily, as well as her henchstallions: Rusty and Blaze with a satisfied expressions, Misty on the other hoof had a petrified expression on her right now due to the sudden changes of behaviours in her friends. The two mares and two stallions had the parasytes overcoming them all after Queen Opaline released them and commanded them to allow them to take control of them which they gave their consent to without hesitation at all. Once the parasytes were released out of their shells, they immediately infiltrated the mares and stallion by going through either their ears or muzzles, Lily on the other hoof had the parasyte entering her hair with the assistance of Queen Opaline due to her being pregnant. As the parasytes entered them, there were a few pained groans and grunts at the start due to how aggressive they were in terms of infiltration. However, a couple of excruciating minutes later, the parasytes have all fully gained control of their hosts brains all except for Lily who could control the parasyte with her long hair as a weapon. Opaline also took a couple of safety precautions by emitting a small amount of her magic to corroborate that they will not attack her or Misty and that they will always obey her commands no matter what. "They look so intimidating now." Misty commented in a trembling tone as she stared at the empty expressions of her friends. "Now this is perfect! They will now be able to give a detrimental message to this Sunny Starscout as she watches everything she loves suffer!" Queen Opaline exclaimed. "Muwahahahahahaha!" She laughed. "We are ready to follow your orders anytime now Queen Opaline." Blaze said in a deep tone compared to his original one. Everything was going accordingly to plan by Queen Opaline, now, all she has to do is to send either one of them to Maretime Bay first. Maretime Bay It is nighttime now in the coastal city of Maretime Bay. The residents of the city were all seen trying preparing to take a nap and call it a day for tonight as they all began to feel very fatigued right now after a long day of work. In the sheriff station of Maretime Bay, sheriff Hitch Trailblazer was seen resting on his office chair after finishing most of his paperwork today. He was still a bit disconsolate after today's failure in trying to assist the community as well as Sunny receiving all of the gratitudes from the mares, fillies, colts and stallions. But, that's not what he is concerned about currently, all he wanted to do was to do something positive that would relieve his mind. However, unknown to the earth pony stallion, there was a green bacteria shell seen resting on the window outside of his sheriff station. The shell then popped opened revealing a green coloured parasyte. The small worm slithered itself close to the window before taking notice of the pony inside. "Perhaps some fun time with Sparky would be able to relieve my mind on the pressure that is being put on me right now." Hitch told himself as he got off of his chair before heading to the staircase of his sheriff station that leads directly to his bedroom. The parasyte immediately targeted Hitch as his host and began to figure out a way to get inside. As it looked to its left, he noticed a ventilation shaft that leads directly to the first and second floor as well as the rooftop of this infrastructure. So, without any further delays, the parasyte slithered it's way to where the vent was before entering through the slot. On the second floor of the sheriff's station. Sheriff Hitch was seen having some bonding time with the dragon infant Sparky by lifting him up in the air a couple of times which made him giggle and laugh in return due to how much fun he is having with the earth pony stallion, the two birds and one crab who were the police companions of Hitch were seen taking a nap in their stationed areas after a long night. "At least I have you for my company my cute little Sparky." Hitch said with a smile. However, after a couple of more seconds, Hitch began to feel very fatigued due to it being very late at night now, he needed the much needed rest that he necessarily requires for tomorrow. "That should conclude our playing time for today my little Sparky, I need some rest." Hitch told him, and Sparky nodded as he too was feeling sleepy. As both agreed on the same thing, Hitch walked to Sparky's crib before gently placing him in there, covering him with a small blanket in the process. After that, the sheriff made his way to his bathroom so that he could brush his teeth before hitting the hay for the night. Once Hitch has finished brushing his teeth, he made his way towards the lights switch of the room before flipping it downwards, turning off the lights in his room in the process, luckily, he could still see with the assistance of his lamp near his bed. After that, he made his way towards his bed and climbed on top of it, covering his body with his blanket in the process. He then reached out for his earmuffs and wore is over his head, covering his ears in the process. "Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day." Hitch said as he turned off his lamp before resting his head on his pillow. After that, he began to drift to sleep. However, in the ventilation shaft, the small green parasyte has successfully made his way to the second floor of the sheriff's station in Hitch's bedroom by slithering its way through the vent. It then fell through one of the slots and onto the floor of Hitch's bedroom. It then scrutinized its surroundings once more and located its target sleeping on his bed peacefully which would be a perfect time to strike as he is unaware of its presence. So, without any further hesitation, the parasyte slithered its way towards the earth pony in a rapid pace. Once it made its way to his bed, it slithered it's way up on his bed and climbed on the blankets, after that it made its way towards the pony's ear so that it can commence the infiltration process and make its way towards his brain. Once the parasyte has made its way to the pony's left ear, there was one small problem, there was something blocking its passage meaning that he will not be able to enter through the ear canal. The parasyte searched for an alternative route to the brain and saw that the pony's nose was opened therefore, it decided to enter through the nose instead. The parasyte slowly slithered its way onto the pony's face, making it groan a little, he had to be careful in order to prevent waking it up. Once he made it to its left nostril, it raised itself up before forcing itself into the left nostril of the pony. "Achoo!" Hitch sneezed and he immediately sat up straight. The exertion of the parasyte has provoked the sheriff to wake up. "What in Equestria?" He asked as he looked down on himself. When he did, the sheriff saw a green worm like creature on his bed recovering from the sudden action that it's target did. "Gah!" Hitch exclaimed in fear as he rolled off of his bed, causing both him and the creature to fall off of it in the process, as well as knocking off his earmuffs. As the sheriff recovered, it began to search for it. "Wh-where is the thing?" He asked as he began to scrutinize his surroundings. When he looked down in front of him, he took notice of the creature on the floor in front of him. "Whoa, now what kind of creature are you?" Hitch asked as he slowly crawled up to it. The creature represents what looks to be like a little worm but, it is unlike any worn that Hitch has encountered in the forest, in fact, it look more larger than one. It had a drill for its head, it is green coloured, is translucent and many more. "Hey, are you okay little guy?" Hitch asked as he tried to communicate with it. Suddenly, without warning, the worm like creature lunged itself towards Hitch which he responded by shielding his face with his right hoof in response. However, the action has provoked the parasyte to enter through his right hoof, creating a hole in it in the process. "Ahhhh! Somepony help me!" Hitch exclaimed as he lied on his back on the floor. When the critters heard the screams of their sheriff, they immediately got out of their sleeping areas before entering the sheriff's bedroom to see a perplexing sight of their friend Hitch sitting on the floor with him crushing his right hoof with his pillow. "My fellow critters, help me please! A worm has entered through my right hoof and is going to kill me!" Hitch mumbled while crushing his right hoof with his pillow. The critters immediately took action before going to their sheriff's aid. Once they got to him, they gave out a couple of soft words to him which managed to make him equanimous again, letting go of his grip on his pillow in the process. After that, one of his birds asked Hitch what was going on. "Thank you for calming me down. Anyways, as I said, a creature slithered through my right hoof." Hitch told them with got them bewildered. "Here, I've got the proof right here, it made this hole in my-" Hitch looked down on his right hoof to see that the hole in his right hoof has disappeared out of sight, he looked everywhere in his right hoof but, it was no longer there anymore. "Huh? Where did it go? How did it?" Hitch asked with a perplexed expression. Then, the bird asked Hitch whether or not he was having a bad dream or not. "No! This wasn't a nightmare, it just happened I promise!" The animals however, weren't entirely convinced of Hitch's claim, they still assumed that their friend had a bad dream. So, they all decided to dismiss it as a nightmare and gave their friend some reassuring words before going back to sleep. "Was it a bad dream?" Hitch asked as he looked down on his right hoof. //-------------------------------------------------------// Disorder //-------------------------------------------------------// Disorder In the sheriff station, Hitch Trailblazer was seen still asleep in his bed even after last night's entire ordeal where he had witnessed a strange worm like creature burrowing itself into his right hoof forcefully despite his best attempts in trying to cease it from doing so. But, he let go of that thought and decided to dismiss it as a bad dream like what his animal companions assured him to be, or so they think that it was. "H-how d-did I m-manage t-to e-enter in-into y-your r-right h-hoof?" The sound of the mysterious voice has startled Hitch out of his sleep. "Wh-who's there?" Hitch asked as he began to scrutinize his whole entire surroundings but, nopony was there. "My brain must be playing tricks on me today." He mumbled as he rubbed his head. The sheriff then looked over to his alarm clock next to him and noticed that he was five minutes off schedule from his patrol duty for today! He must've forgotten to set up his alarm clock again last night. "Oh crap! I'm gonna be late!" Hitch exclaimed as he jumped off of his bed before rushing to his bathroom to brush his teeth. A minute later, Hitch has completed in brushing his teeth completely and rushed downstairs to the first floor of his sheriff's station office area where the front doors were located in. He then rushed towards them and pulled them open, revealing a crowd of mares, fillies, colts and stallion looking at him with perplexed expressions. "Hehe, good morning everypony, it sure is a bright sunny day is it?" Hitch asked with an embarrassed chuckle. "Morning sheriff Hitch!" A filly greeted with a smile. "You sure took your time." A pony mare said. "Yes sorry everypony, I'll be getting on with my duties today." Hitch told them as he commenced his routine. During Hitch's routine, the sheriff patrolled and scrutinized all the ponies behaviours and to corroborate that they were all behaving well today without causing any mayhem with their magical powers at their disposal anytime anywhere luckily, none were using their magic which was a good sign unlike last times cataclysm which got him a bit irked due to how powerful magic is. As he continued to patrol, many of the mares, fillies, colts and stallions were all seen greeting their amazing sheriff which Hitch replied by saying hello back. However, behind Hitch, there was a mare known as Sunny who has took notice of the stallion Hitch in front of her casually patrolling the ponies just as usual. A check expression appeared on her as she prepared to play a trick on her friend. So, without wasting any more time, she slowly crept up towards the pony stallion quietly so that she would be heard or spotted by him. Once Sunny got close to Hitch without him being aware of her presence, she raised her right hoof up in the air and attempted to give him a scare but unexpectedly, Hitch caught her right hoof with his right hoof. "Huh?" Hitch asked as he looked to his right to see that his right hoof was grabbing somepony else's right hoof even though he did not even move it. The sheriff then turned around to see the mare Sunny behind him. "Oh! Uh! Sunny! G-good morning! This is quite a surprise!" He said with a sheepish smile but, Sunny took it as an excuse. "Oh please, I know that you were wary of my presence, you can drop the act." Sunny told him. Before Hitch could reply back, he noticed that his right hoof was now touching Sunny's soft left cheek which got the mare perplexed of her friend's action. Then, the sheriff's right hoof made its way towards Sunny's gorgeous hair before feeling it which made the mare uncomfortable. "Stop it Hitch!" Sunny exclaimed as she pushed the stallion's hoof away. "Oh! I'm so sorry Sunny! I didn't mean it, I promise! My right hoof was moving on its own!" Hitch exclaimed anxiously as he held his right hoof with his left to prevent it from moving by itself. Sunny on the other hoof disregarded the sheriff before walking past him. When that happened, Hitch let out a groan before looking down on his right hoof with a bewildered expression. He was being honest that it was his right hoof that did the action and not him. "Oops! Can somepony throw the ball to me please?" When Hitch heard the filly, he looked down in front of him to see a plastic ball rolling towards him at a rapid pace. Then suddenly, the sheriff's right hoof took action by itself and snatched the plastic ball. After that, Hitch's right hoof automatically swung itself backwards before tossing the ball at the far distance by itself which resulted in landing in the filly's hooves after soaring through the air a couple of seconds. Hitch was beyond stupefied after what had happened, how was he able to toss that ball with a great sheer amount of strength? The pony citizens all clapped their hooves at the display in how amazing that ball toss was. In the intersection area of the town, sheriff Hitch was seen relaxing while taking a bite out of a doughnut that he bought from the bakery due to him being a little hungry. "Hopefully a high amount of carbohydrates can give me the necessary strengths and stamina that I require for my next few hours." He told himself. At first, everything seemed tranquil but suddenly, a loud scream from a mare was heard. "Watch out!" Hitch flinched from the loud scream from the mare, that is usually a sign that there is something detrimental going on right now. The stallion looked at what was going on and saw a shopping trolley rolling through the streets uncontrollably and is currently heading towards a filly who was looking at her cellphone. "Oh no! Watch out!" Hitch exclaimed as he ran to the filly as quickly as he could. Once he got to the filly, he immediately pulled her close to him before stopping the trolley with his right hoof. As the trolley collided into Hitch's right hoof, the front immediately got bent and groceries came flying into the air, landing on the floor in the process, luckily, neither Hitch or the filly got maimed. "You okay little filly?" Hitch asked as he looked down at the filly. "Yeah, thank you so much sheriff Hitch!" The filly said in a startled yet grateful tone. Hitch then let go of the filly and stood up to stare down at his right hoof again. Just how did it get so strong all of the sudden? "Wow Hitch, how did you manage to bend that trolley like that?" Izzy asked with an astonished expression. "You've been working out haven't you?" She asked again. Instead of answering, Hitch ran past the unicorn mare Izzy Moonbow and towards the sheriff station to try and comprehend the situation more better in there without any interference. Leaving the mare Izzy Moonbow perplexed. "Wow, he is fast." Once Hitch got back to the sheriff's station, he pushed the doors opened before slamming them shut behind him, closing the blinds in the process. After that, he ran to the office desk before grabbing a cutter from his stationery box, pushing the slider forward and aiming it at his own right hoof in the process. "I know what you did earlier, and I remember what you did to me last night too creature! I'm gonna get to the bottom of this today!" Hitch shouted with beads of sweat appearing on his forehead. "Show yourself to me right now!" He demanded. At first, nothing had occured then a second later, Hitch has got a response. He immediately noticed that his right hoof was splitting a bit with teeth coming out of it which made his eyes widen in horror. Then, a brief second later, his right hoof has morphed into a creature with teeth, and eyes popping above its face that was connected with these long skin tissue. It also had hands coming out of its sides too. "Wh-what a-an un-unexpected f-failure, I-I'm n-now y-your r-right h-hoof." //-------------------------------------------------------// First meetings //-------------------------------------------------------// First meetings Hitch was beyond terrified right now. In front of him was his right hoof completely changed into some sort of monster that he has no knowledge on. In fact, he doesn't even know what the hay this thing is anyways! Could it be some sort of new species that he does not currently know about? "Wh-what have you done to my right hoof? What has happened to it?" Hitch asked in a trembling tone. "I-I've n-now t-taken i-it c-completely un-unfortunately." When Hitch heard this, he let out an anxious chuckle for a brief second before glaring at the creature with him bringing down his left hoof in an attempt to stab the monster with his cutter tool as his weapon. When the creature noticed this, he managed to catch the sharp edged blade with his hands in time due to his superior reflexes and broke it with his strength. After that, he threw the broken blade across Hitch's face, causing it to get stuck in the roof in the process. "Gah!" Hitch exclaimed in fear as he tossed the cutter away. "I-I'm i-in need of assistance in l-learning your language s-so th-that I can properly pronounce words in a more distinct way to y-you Hitch." Hitch then looked to the front doors of the station to his if anypony were going to enter. When he noticed that the coast was clear, he rushed to the staircase of his station and ran up the stairs in his room so that nopony would be able to see the creature in his right hoof. A brief second later, the sheriff has made it to the second floor of the sheriff station which was his bed and living rooms all together which would be suitable for some privacy. He first took a couple of deep breathers first in order to remain his composure in this situation right now. Once he has successfully calmed himself down, he raised his right hoof to where the creature still is and saw that it had its eyes and arms lowered. "Okay, you better give me some answers now you weird creature!" Hitch demanded sternly. "Fatigued, I need some rest." "H-Hey wait! You can't just back off from this now! I've got to know what you are and what you're gonna do to me!" Hitch exclaimed as he grabbed his right hoof with his left but unfortunately, the creature has disappeared and his right hoof has turned back to normal. "H-huh? Wh-what the hay just happened to my right hoof? What is this creature's motivation to be exact?" He asked himself. Hitch has a lot of inquiries in his head now about the creature's species and its intentions, but, since it is asleep now, he couldn't get any answers out of it currently. This was a very perplexing situation. "Guess I'll just have to find out about this creature myself!" Hitch told himself as he ran to his bookshelf on the right side of his bedroom. Once the sheriff has made it to his bookshelf, he took out a book that had content that specifically delineated about worms and the different types there are out there in the wild. Therefore, there had to be information in this book that is clearly pertinent to the creature that had took over his right hoof last night. "The creature's information should be in here." Hitch told himself as he took a seat on his couch, flipping open the book in the process then, he began to read. Hitch had been reading his book for almost an hour now and he still has not found any shred of information about the creature in his right hoof. None of the pictures, descriptions, details or anything else in the book matches what the creature's natural personality and ability that enabled itself to take over his right hoof completely. "Oh now that is just tremendous isn't it?" Hitch said sarcastically as he put the still opened book on his table. "There's not a single information available on this creature, this confirms that it is an unknown specimen we ponies have not yet discovered." He finished in an aggravated tone. He then lied down on his back on his couch and began to relieve all of the vexation in his mind right now but, curiosity on the creature has gotten the best of him. So, he raised his right hoof before shaking it a couple of times but to no avail as the creature did not respond. "How long does this thing need to sleep anyways?" In a forest located outside of Maretime Bay, there two wolves seen hunting for prey together in their wildlife as part of their natural lifestyle as predators in the wildlife which involves them hunting and consuming unexpected herbivores in order to satisfy their hungry abdomens. At first, everything seemed very normal but then, both wolves heard some sounds coming towards them both. The two wolves looked to the source of the sound to see another one of their wolf companions coming towards them. Both carnivores took this as a sign of their own specie trying to hunt along with them as it is feeling ravenous as well currently however, there was something wrong with it. They noticed that it was staggering as it was walking, and it seemed to be growling at them with anger and hungry intentions which got them perplexed. Before the wolves could communicate with their fellow specie, something unexpected happened. The wolf opened its jaws and the entirety of his face has opened up like a flower blooming but however, this wasn't as beautiful like the flowers in nature in fact, there were teeth in its face. The wolf's face then extended to one of the two wolves and chomped its face off, killing it in the process, traumatising the other wolf. A brief second later, the wolf's face turned back to normal with the headless wolf's body collapsing on the ground. The second wolf couldn't believe what he had saw earlier, his own companion wolf has bit off the face of his own kind in an instances by opening its face in a way it had never witnessed before! The predator wolf looked at the second still standing wolf after munching down on the head of his other friend and targetd it as its next meal to satisfy its hungry state. The second wolf immediately made a run for it when it saw its own comrade looking at him but unfortunately, he was unable to get a feet away from him and his face got eaten by the other wolf. //-------------------------------------------------------// Acquaintances //-------------------------------------------------------// Acquaintances On the second floor of the sheriff's station which is known as Hitch Trailblazer's bedroom. The sheriff of Maretime Bay was seen lying on his bed on his back after having a nice salad meal in order to relieve himself of his stress that was put onto him after witnessing the creature in his right hoof but unfortunately, he was unsuccessful as the creature in his right hoof has woken up and brought down a bunch of books to the floor from Hitch's bookshelf that encompasses information on the pony language, animals, history of Equestria and many more. "Ugh, I've just finished having a lovely dinner now." Hitch said as he sat up on his bed and looked down on the floor on his left to see the creature reading one of his books. "It looks like it's not enough to quell my shocked state." He added. As the creature in his right hoof continued to flip through the books of the language book, he was able to comprehend the pony language completely now which would be beneficial to him if he wishes to communicate with his host. "Have you gotten the information that you need?" Hitch asked. "Correct, I'm now able to pronounce words perfectly now thanks to the book you've suggested to me to read." The creature said as he turned his eye around and switched the position of his mouth behind him. "Good for you, then that means I'm able to ask you inquiries right now." Hitch said with a smile. "Okay first off, what are you? Are you some sort of new animal that we don't know about?" He asked. "Not entirely, I have limited knowledge on my species but, I am called a parasyte." The parasyte corrected him as he turned the position of his eye as well as his mouth back in front of him before making his way to a book based on wildlife. "Parasyte? As in those organisms that hosts a certain creature and lives off it for food and other purposes?" "Close enough." The parasyte replied as he flipped over the pages of the book. "Was your appearance originally that green worm from last night?" Hitch questioned. However, the parasyte did not answer Hitch as it continued to flip through the pages of the wildlife book that contained information on an abundance amount of animals in the wild but, it did not have any detailed information on the specie that he is right now. "It is quite strange that none of the books that I've read based on animals have any shred of information about the specie I am right now." The parasyte said turning his eye around to look at Hitch. "Then that confirms that you're species are unknown to us right now." Hitch told him. Then, he decided to get more answers out of him. "Where did you come from? The ground where other worms reside in? Or, somewhere else in the wildlife?" He asked again. "I unfortunately do not have any knowledge on where I came from exactly." The parasyte told him as he walked towards him. "My most recent memory is encountering you as well as being a little disconsolate that I've failed to infiltrate your brain." He finished with a depressed expression. "Wait my brain?!" Hitch exclaimed with a perturbed expression. "Does that enables you to do your previous exertion that you did last night since you're already in my right hoof?" He asked. "Don't worry, if I wanted to do that, I would've done so already but unfortunately, I've already matured in your right hoof, I'm unable to make a second occupation." The parasyte replied as he lowered his eye in a way to express his dismay. "Wait hold on a second, what would happened if you've accomplished in doing your first intentions with me?" Hitch asked with a perplexed expression. "If I were to accomplish my objective, you would still be the same as yourself but, you're head would've gained the ability to crack open like an eggshell with long flesh like tentacles with blades coming out of it in the process." The parasyte replied as he gave Hitch an example by splitting open his eye with his hands. "Oh my goodness that is so repulsive, but, why did you choose to occupy me in the first place anyways?" Hitch asked with a sigh. "It was just a mere coincidence Hitch." The parasyte replied as he lifted himself near his face. "You weren't selected for this obligation because you're special or anything, you're just selected because I needed a host to control, and I so happen to have encountered you here in your house." He finished specifically. Hitch couldn't believe this right now, his life would be ruined if he was exposed to the public ponies as well as his four females friend with the parasyte in his right hoof. He needed to resolve this case instantly no matter the cost. "I really need to pay a visit to the clinic." Hitch sighed. "The clinic? Is it the place where ponies mares, fillies, colts, and stallion get treated of an illness that they contracted as well as any injuries inflicted on them?" The parasyte asked positioning himself in front of the stallion. "Obviously! I need to take you to them so that they can cut you off so that everything can go back to normal with me!" "For your information Hitch that wouldn't be a validation option to do in this scenario. If I was disembowelled from you, the most likely thing that would happen to me is that I would desiccate and eventually be killed from the disconnection from your body." The parasyte informed him as he showed Hitch an example of him being dehydrated. A brief second later, he turned back to normal before raising a right arm. "In addition Hitch, the other event that you would most likely encounter is that you'll loose your right hoof. That would be a terrible outcome for the two of us now wouldn't it?" He asked him. Then, Hitch suddenly got angry and he held a firm grip on the bottom of his right hoof. "Okay now you listen to me here, you just occupied my right hoof without my consent so therefore, this is entirely your fault that we're in this situation!" He exclaimed as he shook him a couple of times. The parasyte looked down on him and began to think of a solution to this problem. A brief second later, he looked back up at him with a plan ready. "Okay how about we make a compromisation then?" "What compromisation?" Hitch asked in an irked tone, he doubted that the parasyte would be able to come up with something good for him. "During the hours that I sleep, I will reconnect the circuitry in your right hoof, giving you full control of it like normal." The parasyte offered as a right hoof appeared on the right side of his body. "That's the best that you can come up with?" "Indeed." The parasyte replied with a nod. "That's the only compromisation and choice that we have in fact, during those moments, we will have to learn how to live with one another if we wish to coexist during this situation." He finished as he split his body in two, revealing another identical body that he shook with. "Okay, here's the thing here, I don't know who the hay you are so, why in Equestria must I listen to you?" "I'm feeling fatigued now, I need some sleep." The parasyte told Hitch as he morphed himself back into one with a tired expression. "Hey! You're just trying to change the subject here!" Hitch yelled at its face. "Remember to use me with care." The parasyte told him as he disappeared into its sleep, turning Hitch's right hoof back in the process. When that happened, Hitch let out an aggravated grunt before lying back on his bed, looking up at the ceiling in the process. He now has to cooperate with the parasyte that has taken over his right hoof completely and learn how to live with him if he wishes to not be seen as a monster by the ponies. "I wonder if there are others out there like him?" Hitch questioned himself. But, the inquiries would have to be saved for another time as the sheriff got very fatigued that he closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.
