Flash went back on duty and Cadance zapped away the bed and lubricant before closing up the secret room and climbing back into bed as if nothing had ever happened. She didn't lie in bed and cry about how awful a pony she was for betraying her husbands trust and violating the sanctity of their marriage, Shining Armor was a nice stallion, kind ruler, fine husband and would probably make for a decent father, it's just that he wasn't as sexually satisfying as he used to be and Cadance had decided to pursue... alternatives.

Cadance often wondered if she was lying to herself about how she felt and whether her complete lack of empathy of the situation was healthy or not, questioning her mentality about the whole thing and considering the possibility that she was emotionally unbalanced somehow. Another thing she often wondered is that maybe she had got here because Shining Armor had a physical problem, do ponies usually just stop being good at sex for no reason? More accurately, did ponies often just get bored with their partners? Cadance had so many questions about her exploits and she never had an answer for any of them no matter how long the questions lingered and tumbled around in her head, although one question did have an answer, many would say it was the wrong answer but it was still an answer.

The question was "Should I stop doing this? Should I stop this blatant act of adultery?"

Cadance had asked that question of herself a thousand times, re-affirming to herself that what she was doing was exceedingly and undoubtedly wrong. If Shining ever found out it would break his heart, the marriage would most likely end, ponies would think less of her, family ties and bonds broken, the kingdom might fall apart, she may have even been stripped of her title and alicorn status.

In spite of all of those possibilities, she always arrived at the same answer of "No"
