Anything for My Princess
Chapter the Twenty-Ninth: Finding Contentment in Simplicity
Previous ChapterNext ChapterOver the next day and the following morning, Luna worked closely with Pip, helping him find himself and nurturing a safe procedure for him to control his outlet. But, as the time had passed at a rate of one second per second, the morning had finally come to return Pip to his family. With his bags packed, he slumped down in the back of the chariot as they flew back to Ponyville.
"What's wrong, Pip?"
He shook his head. "Nothing."
"You wouldn't be pouting if nothing was wrong. Talk to me."
Pip looked out over the edge. "I'm just sad that this is over," he sighed. "I wish we could spend more time together, that's all. It's nothing."
Luna placed a hoof on his shoulder. "We'll have more time together, Pip. I promise. After all, I have to come back and check on you, and I can always whisk you away to the castle again for another round."
"Well, yeah, but the time away--"
"Will make it all the better when we reunite."
Pip lowered his head. "It's still going to be lonely, going back to my daily life. I can't ask you to come and see me in my dreams, either. What if you're doing something important for somepony important?"
"Just call gently," answered Luna. "I go where I am most needed, so if I am doing something more important than you, I will come when able."
Pip sniffed. "Are you sure I'll be able to be gentle enough?"
"I believe in you, Pip. You can do this."
As they descended, the residents of Pip's street gawked as they came down, especially Pip's friends, who gave chase.
"Now, your treatment plan, as well as our relationship, is technically in violation of a few laws, so do keep quiet," Luna instructed Pip. "If anypony asks, we're friends."
Pip looked up at her. "Are we friends now?"
Luna shook her head. "No, Pip, we're not."
He gasped, almost hurt by the statement.
"I would say that we've reached a higher level of closeness than just friends. We're more than friends, Pip. We're at least friends with benefits, perhaps even lovers. Just don't tell anypony. Just between us."
Pip nodded. "I don't want anypony thinking I'm a criminal. But then why is it okay to do this in the first place?"
Luna stopped for a moment. "Think about it this way, Pip. If you were drowning in a pool, and somepony jumped over the fence and saved your life, do you think they should go to jail for trespassing on private property?"
"No."
"Well, we don't want him to question how long he's going to have to spend in the dungeons for jumping over the gate, we want him to save your life. Crimes can be pardoned depending on the circumstances, and if what we're doing prevents me from having to mutilate you, then I would be willing to pardon our actions. It may not save your life, but it makes your life better, and minimises the damage done to me. It's good for both of us, and does not harm anypony else. So, it shall be swept aside."
They touched down and Pip was immediately swarmed by his friends. Some were asking where he'd been, others were asking what he'd been doing in the princess's chariot, still others were telling him about the rumours that he'd been foalnapped or killed. As soon as Luna heard Pip explaining the safe version of what had happened, she let him be to go talk to his parents, who had poked their heads out in the commotion.
"How is he?" asked Wee Shrimp.
Luna smiled. "It was touch-and-go for a bit, but in the end, I think he's going to be fine."
"Oh, thank goodness..."
"He will need to come back to Canterlot every so often for personalised follow-ups, but those should really only be one-night events. He can come up Friday afternoon, stay overnight, and I'll bring him back Saturday morning. Does that work well with you two?"
They looked at each other, then to Luna, and nodded.
"Good. He may be sore for a bit, and he may take a few days to return to normal, but he's a good kid, and now that he's on the right track again, you should be proud of him. He's a very brave, very durable young colt. You're lucky to have one so well-behaved and caring as he."
"We know," smiled Wee Shrimp.
"There's one more thing," finished Luna. "For the first few days, at least, until he's into the habit of doing it himself, there's something he has to do before he goes to bed. Remind him an hour ahead of time."
Luna crawled into bed alone. The guards had been dismissed. With Pip being at home, they couldn't really do much, anyway. If they tried to wake her, Pip could pull her back in right away if all went wrong. But she had faith in Pip. She was going to go back to her normal duties tonight after checking on him. She'd neglected those for the last few weeks, nor had she slept well. Tonight was to return her to form.
Pip was fine. His dream was one of a pizza party with some friends. Just a small party, no more than four guests, two of which were his parents. To keep the sexual tone of the party low, he personally had dreamed up a vibrating chair with a dildo in the middle of the seat for him to sit upon. It was small, but if it kept him from summoning an orgy, it was okay with her.
She left straight away, and started in on a few other dreams. At half strength, she was able to clear all of the nightmares from Ponyville, and put a hold on a jealous revenge scheme. All in all, she was in a pretty good state.
Still, something was nagging at her mind. She'd grown so used to Pip dreaming her into his wild and crazy schemes, so having a night without him after so long felt almost empty; like a hole had been left where he used to fill.
She shook her head. It wouldn't be long until he was back in her arms again, and he could fill her hole to his heart's content. Maybe she would even fill his. They would definitely be seeing each other again.
