FearView OnlineBlue faithFearFlitter was scared. Not because she has done something that will surely get her hanged nor was it because she discovered something that shouldn't be possible. No, she was scared of how her sister will react. Granted they shared some of the same ideals and beliefs but believing in something is different than actually doing something about it. Especially when doing so is highly illegal making the risk greater than the payoff. Flitter knew this but unlike her sister, she wasn't afraid of the consequences. Not when it involves the potential death of another living being. "It's okay! I won't hurt you I promise". She received no response. The room she was facing was covered in darkness making it nearly impossible to see inside. However, even though Flitter received no reply the faint scent of blood reassured the anxious pony that her newly found guest was still present. Flitter smiles nursing her ribs before opening her mouth to speak. No doubt wanted to give more reassurance that she meant no harm and only wanted to help. However, before the words themselves came into reality the sound of a door opening along with Cloud's voice filled the air. "Flitter!? This better be an emergency!" Smiling once more all although nervous the blue pony went to confront her sister. She needed to know. If worse comes to worst they can at least try to find a lot safer than here. """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Olmo wanted to go home. Unfortunately, his latest mistake could very well make sure that he'll never get the chance. Not when he came across a pony. A monster. Just one of a much larger group that took everything from him. His home. His planet. His family. He still hears the screams of his dying mother and feels his little sister's arms as she gasps her entire body shaking as she tried desperately to get air back into her lungs. Her eyes were wide and scared as she stared into his eyes pleading and begging for him to do something anything. He couldn't. His father's words of apologies repeated over and over as he held a gun to his head. Olmon screamed before the sound of gunfire echoed and blood splattered all over his face. There was so much blood. His vision became red and he screamed, hollowed, and yelled until he could no longer speak. His vision was a tainted red due to all the blood. He cleaned and wipe his face over and over again but the red was still there, mocking him. Reminding him of what he's seen and the people he lost. Useless. He was so useless. A laugh escaped his lips. A long dealt with a tic that he once tried desperately to get rid of. Now? He couldn't find it within himself to care. Regardless he covered his mouth and ducked even lower. He tries to use his outfit as well as his natural skin color to blend into his surroundings and judging by the blue pony's wandering gaze it worked. Now what? He couldn't leave. Not when he was nearly caught by a patrol that lead him into this situation in the first place. No doubt they were doubling their search. If that wasn't worrying enough the pony he was with could easily turn him in. Or so he thinks. Even if they managed to save each other's lives it doesn't mean that she wasn't gonna kill him later. Ponies are sick and twisted beings after all. Olmon sighed. He should have walked away when he had the chance. Either way, he was screwed it seemed. """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""'''" "WHAT!" Cloudchaser screamed. Her eyes are wide with shock. Flitter in response hurriedly nods. Sporting a bruised eye as well as letting her sister carefully check her ribs. "I know, I know, I shouldn't have been outside, to begin with, but there was traffic and by the time I was halfway home it was already too late". Equestrian curfew when broken is punishable by either a hefty fine or two months imprisonment. Worst-case scenario the ponies doing the patrols would do things that no pony or otherwise should be able to get away with. It was sickening. Cloud raised a wing. Silence fell. Cloud took a breath. Hurriedly Processing everything her twin has told her. It was crazy, hard to believe, and downright reckless if everything she said was true, And it was. Flitter was many things but she wasn't a liar. Not when it was only the two of them involved. With this in mind, the right thing to do was to report to the guards and wait for them to arrive. Doing so will not only help their newly formed empire but the twins will also receive a payment that could nearly set them for life. After all, humans were nothing but dangerous beasts hell-bent on causing havoc wherever they go. They were monsters. Demons. Beings that nature itself regrets creating. Cloud sighed. That would be the right thing wouldn't it?" "Show me". """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" "It won't come out". Cloud nods before gesturing for Flitter to give her some room. A moment later said mare did as instructed but the concern was still evident. She trusted Cloudchaser's judgment but she was worried that if they rushed things it could end in disaster. Cloud stepped forward making it so that she was far less threatening as possible. Even so, her heart raced with the knowledge that any being especially when corned tends to lash out. This is more so a concern when the creature they're dealing with is the one ponykind tried to erase. "I know you're scared and you have every right to be, but I heard the things from my sister that makes me glad that you were there". Silence. "You don't have to trust us and frankly I don't blame you but if anything I want you to know that we were a part of a group that was against the treatment your kind received". No response. Taking a deep breath Cloud slowly pulls out a knife from behind her back. "I understand that you don't feel safe as such it's only right that I give you a reason to not feel threatened". She throws the knife. Something large and fast struck out grabbing the knife before pulling back. Cloud only hopes that she's making the right choice. However, before she can urge the human to come out of hiding the sound of knocking echoes throughout the house. "This is Patrol guard seven! Please open the door!"
Leave us aloneView OnlineBlue faithLeave us aloneCloudchaser didn't want to open the door. Every fiber in her body told her not to do it. However, she had little choice in the matter. Especially when dealing with patrols. It was either do so willingly or risk your home being set ablaze. With shaky steps, she walks towards the door. Her hooves are slow and heavy as she tried to calm her racing thoughts and the fear that gripped her body in waves. She had to be strong. She had to be. A gentle hood on her shoulder made her relax ever so slightly. Casting a look toward Flitter she saw that the mare had a determined expression on her face. Her eyes used to be dim and sad now glowed with purpose with bits of carefully concealed anger. Even so the smile she flashed her sister was one of reassurance. Cloud took a breath. """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Four. That was how many were at Cloud's door. Two pegasi, one Earth, and a scarred-looking unicorn that looked to be the leader. He is dark with a light brown mane and tail with a pair of firm yellow eyes. One eye of these eyes looked to be scarred in a way that looked as if he could barely see. Regardless when his gaze met Cloud's a small but menacing smile formed on his face. The mare couldn't help but flinch. "Even madam, I don't mean to be a bother but do you mind if I and my squad can come in?" "No". The response was clear and firm. Leaving no room for misunderstanding. The Unicorn frowned. The way his eyes flashed told Cloud that he wasn't the type that liked being denied. Fortunately for her and Flitter, they were in their home, and thus had the power to deny his request. The ones who obeyed curfew are given more rights than the ones that don't. All though they were small and nearly useless compared to the system they had before. The patrol leader leaned closer. "I've come across two dead ponies on duty and their wounds gave me an idea of what might have occurred. Now I could be wrong, but just in case I thought it was a good idea to check on the local rebels". Cloud fumed. "We are not rebels, Merely ponies who remembered what was like to feel sympathy". The stallion chuckled at her response. "Those who go against our queen no matter how small are ponies who don't know their place in our new world". Flitter step forward. Pushing to stand beside her sister. Her expression was every negative emotion Cloud felt at that moment. Yet even still the only difference was that Flitter had no filter. "The only one who's an obvious rebel is your marefriend every time you go out for work. I mean haven't you wondered why her lips taste a little salty? Then again you might be the one doing the stroking in the relationship". "Flitter" Cloud warned. Leave it up to the pegasus to escalate an already tense situation. "What?! I'm not wrong!" She snapped. Her eyes bore holes into the stallion. She did not hide the hate she felt toward them and everything they represented. Not when she was the first among many who realized the horrors that ponykind was truly capable of under a dictator. The stallion on the other hoof merely chuckled. "I know who you are Flitter and I know the crimes that you and your sister have committed against the crown. Do you think I don't know the truth? It's obvious from the body language and your eye that you're hiding something so I'll ask again". He learned close. His expression is dark and his eyes wild. "May we please come in?" Flitter on the other shook her head snorting "As if w-" A hoof struck. Connected with the mare's throat faster than the two of them could react. "FLITTER!" The pony fell back gasping. Hooves crawled at her throat. Before Cloud can even fully process what was going on another blow connected against her skull. She collapsed. Head spinning as she fought to stay conscious. As this is happening the four ponies enter the room. The leader Black Lavender ordered his squad to search the home. When all that was said and done he went into the kitchen before coming back out with a glass of wine in hoof. Sipping it he spoke "You know I use to have a daughter? She was young and had just entered the Royal copse before judgment day. At first, everything went well at least until we found a small group of humans huddled together for safety near a collapsed structure". He laughed shaking his head in amusement. "Those dumb animals I killed the younger ones, making sure to break every bone in their tiny little bodies. I even went so far as to use my magic to slowly twist their spine until it snapped". His amusement quickly fell as did the glass cup. "Unfortunately my lovely daughter didn't like that. No, not at all. Imagine my shock when she turned her blade against me while I was performing a sacred duty!" He stomps his hoof. His expression morphs into anger with a hint of regret. "I had no choice such an act of foolishness is punished by death!" So while she was hesitating I slammed my blade into her throat, and as she lays there dying in a pool of her blood I gifted her the blessing of a father's love". He trots over towards them. Standing above both mares with a look of pure hatred as he stared down the two of them. "She died screaming". He hissed. Upon seeing the look of fear in their eyes he smiled. Oh, he was gonna enjoy every second of this. At least he would have if it wasn't for the blood-curdling scream that echoed from inside the house. A second later came another scream. This time it was a voice that sounded as if they were paralyzed by fear. "IT'S UPSTAIRS!" Lavender turns his gaze toward the stairs. As he did so an Earth pony emerges from the basement having heard the screams as well. However, before he could shout orders he felt a sharp object pierce his neck. The stallion roared in pain turning to back hoof, Flitter. Only to receive a chair to the face. """"""""""""""''''''''''''''''''''''"""""""""""""''"""""""""""" Screaming. Olmon hears screaming, And it isn't from the pony he had in his grip Standing up Olmon digs his foot into the dead pony's skull. A moment later a sickening crack echoed in the hallway. With the said deed done and nothing else to lose Olmon turns heading toward the directions that the screams were coming from. A knife dripping with blood held tightly in his grip.
Save meView OnlineBlue faithSave meCouldn't breathe. Filter couldn't breathe. Snarling the mare throws her head back before her skull connected with the Earth pony. He stumbles caught off guard by the attack. In response Flitter tackles him. Using the advantage of her wings to propel them both forward. A loud thud echoed as the stallion made connect with the wall head-first. Gritting her teeth the blue pegasus slams a hoof into the stallion's face. However, before her hoof could connect for the third time she found herself being thrown across the room. The sound of shattering glass wasn't far behind. However, using that moment of distraction Cloud sinks her teeth into the unicorn's neck. Black roared before delivering a blow. Cloud's grip only tightened before she too lifted them into the air. She turned her body allowing Black to hit the ceiling before letting go. As he fell the eldest twin barely dodged a chair being thrown at her. Turning she saw the Earth pony aiming at her. Another object was held tightly in his grasp. At least until a massive hand wrapped around his throat. With wide eyes, the stallion tried to scream. Only for a knife to slide across his neck. Getting up Black saw this and immediately began to ignite his horn. Preparing to cast a fire spell that will surely engulf the human in flames. Or snap his neck which would be far too merciful but it will get the job done regardless. Only for Flitter to appear and deliver a flying hoof across his face. The stallion's entire body spun. The sheer force of the blow was enough to dislodge several of his front teeth. If that wasn't enough blood slowly leaked out from one side of his skull. Silence fell as they waited for him to make a move. He didn't. """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Olmon blinked. Now he was confused. At first, he thought that the thing called for a nearby patrol. As such he went ahead in killing the first two before hearing commotion downstairs. Thinking nothing of it he followed the noise intending to kill as many as possible before the eventuality of his awaited death. When he came across four ponies fighting one another that made him pause. He should have escaped when he had the chance. However something told him to act, So he did. He grabbed the nearest one and slit one's throat. However, upon noticing a horn being aimed in his direction he closed his eyes and awaited death. None came. Instead, he was saved. Again. By what looks to be the same one as before. Not knowing what else to do he watched and listened closely to the conversation. Usually, he blocks their words out almost completely, But this time? He had to know. "Are you okay?" Cloudchaser asked going to her Sister's side. Flitter looked to have various cuts and scratches across her body. Fortunately, none of them looked too bad. The mare herself clutched at her aching ribs with a pained look in her eyes. However, the smile on her face was nearly Infectious. "We showed them! Next time they'll think twice before daring to come into our home". Cloud sighed. "There won't be a next time. Right now we need to get as far away from here as possible". "They started it!" Cloud gestures to the area around them. "You see this? It's a crime scene that paints us as the bad guys. The ponies we're dealing with don't care about ponies like us. Especially when we committed an act of treason". Flitter frowns. Knowing her sister was right but hated the knowledge that they were supposedly the villains. Traitors to a nation that betrayed its values to achieve a better world. A world that only cared about ponies who follow the rules. Flitter hated that. She hated the fact that standing up for the right thing can result in outright execution. "I don't regret it". Cloud snorted. "If you did I would have assumed that you were a changeling". The two smiled. Only to then realize that they weren't alone. They turned only to see a massive biped stand silently watching the trio. The human was almost the size of Luna if not an inch or so taller. At first glance, it looked fairly skinny but also had some muscle hidden underneath the clothes it wore. Said attire was black with a silver necklace nearly hidden and tucked underneath its shirt. The human tilted his head. His hazel-colored eyes were nearly covered by his curly black hair as the grip on his knife remained firm. A small trail of blood leaked from an exposed wound on his shoulder. The two ponies glanced at one another. Well, at least they had his attention. Now all they needed to do was hope that what took place was just enough to gain his trust. Or at least making him realize that they weren't the ponies he needed to worry about. No, the real enemy will return upon hearing one of their own going missing. Only this time they'll come with an army. One they couldn't simply fight off. Not unless they valued their lives. "Please, let us help you". Flitter's voice was soft and quiet. Not wanting to freak him out she approached with slow and careful steps. "We can help take you somehow safe, all you have to do is let us". Olmon stared. Not knowing what to believe, and yet when he looked into the mare's eyes he felt something strange. Something inside told him to trust the mare or risk dying. He sighed. It seems that even after everything that happened, the invasion, the death of his family, and spending nearly four years alone he still believes that beings' pony or not had good in them. He was foolish then and it seems that he's foolish now. Regardless it wasn't like he had much of a choice. Not when his options are severely limited with almost no way out. He loosens the grip on the knife. Let's see if the universe grants him an opportunity to live.

A crowd of survivors surrounds the pair as they too cried out in shock And Desperation not wanting it to be true. The guard simply shook his head. "Im sorry, but it's either that or you can all leav and starve to death". Olmon's father leaned closer. His eyes boring into the man's soul. "Do you even realize the words coming out of your mouth?! If we do as you say we are no more the monsters then those things outside this bunker. Can you live with that? The knowledge that you doomed a dozen or more people to die all because of your sick and twisted rules?!" The guard didn't respond. At least not verbally. Instead he aimed his rifle right betten the bigger man's eyes. His finger slowly closing around the trigger as he spoke. "Whether I like it or not those are the rules". Olmon's father didn't back down even when hs wife and children begged him to. No, instead the long time veteran and mow ex law enforcement merely shook his head in disappointment. "That right there and why we already lost". The guard fired. Striking a young Hispanic woman that looked to be several months pregnant. The screams that followed was something Olmon could never forget. Nor the eyes of the dying woman as she gasped. Her husband Begging and sobbing for anyone to help her. To help thier child. Only to be cut off as a bullet pierced through his neck. For a moment there was silence, And then all hell broke loose. """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" "What's your name?" Flitter tilted her head. Starring at the human in front of her with a look of expectation. He ignored her. "Leave him alone Flitter it's clear that he isn't in the mood to talk". Cloud mutters to her sister. However most of her focus was stitching up the wound on his shoulder. Being slightly deeper then they expected the blue mare decided that it was better safe than sorry. "Where did you come from?" Ah it seems that her warning was ignored. "Flitter". Groaning the younger mare sat on her flank before crossing her hooves. A look of disappoint mixed with frustration echoing on her face. "He's the second human I've seen! I'm just curious". "Did you kill the last one?" The room fell quite. From their expression it was clear that both mare's haven't expected such a question. However from the look on his face they knew that it wasn't a joke. "I've seen ponies do it before. I've done across entire group of ponies torturing one of us. Burning, drowning, tearing limbs apart slowly while using thier magic. Some even used spells to make lost love ones appear as if they weren't just butchered to death. Then they will make the person watch as the hallucination die repeatedly by their own hands. Each death being more grusonme and vivid then the last. All while the ponies simply sat and watched. Laughing as if it was the funniest thing in the world". He paused eyes haunting as he slowly lifted his head to gaze at Flitter. "They always laughed". The silence that followed was deafening. Flitter opened her mouth, only to continue the silence as struggled to figure out what to say. Fortunately Cloud was quick to intervene. "Your wound should be alright, now all that's left is to gather otr things and leave as soon as possible". Flitter tilted her head in confusion. Olmon was munch the same but hid it well. In a world like their's there weren't many places a human can hide. Much less two ponies who are clearly being closely watched by those who follow the crown. As such the only thing that came to mind was a few places that Flitter long forgotten. If that doesn't work there's always plan B. However that was merely a last resort. One that there's was no coming back from. "I know a place'. Once again all eyes were on the human. Olmon on the other hand was already in the process of moving. His footsteps almost utterly silent as he moved with purpose. Intending to get somewhere safe we're he can rest and plan for the next day that will surely come. Only to be stopped by a blue wing. "There's another way". Cloudchaser points. Leading Olmon's gaze towards the kitchen we're Flitter proceeds to open the basement door. "There's a secret route that can take us pretty far into the city. The only catch being is that once we make it out we have of knowing of the ponies we might bump into". Olmon nods. It was dangerous no doubt, but it was a far greater risk then simply risk exposing yourself for a long period of time. "Very well". """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Black gasped before struggling to stand. Only to find himself unable to as the body of his partner laid on top of him. Groaning Black attempted to use his magic. Only to find himself to weak to do so. Gritting his tooth the stallion resorts to using his hooves. A tactic that managed to finally get the job done after a bit of pushing. Getting to his hooves slowly Black looked around. Only to see that the occupants were no longer home. Looking down at his partner Black kicked the useless dead pony. Weak. All of them. The human was gone and so was his new friends. As such it was up to Black to right the wrong that was letting such an abomination walk among them. Ah yes once he completes said task the crown herself might reward him in ways he only dreamed of. He might even be worthy enough to become her own personal slave of pleasure. Black smiled. Now it was time to do a little hunting. The kind he was oh so familiar with. The difference? He might get a challenge.
Why?View OnlineBlue faithWhy?Maud doesn't have a home. The one she did have was lost when Equestria decided to transform. Her sisters? All gone. Scattered among different opinions and heartbreak. Maud was one of them of course. Sighing enterally the mare ducks. Allowing a group of ponies on patrol to move past her. From the smell emitting from their breaths, they spent the night drinking. Maud snorted. Once the cost was clear the mare moved. She was quick, and silent, Knowing every nook and cranny the place had to offer. The witch was impressive considering she rarely leaves her home. A place filled with empty boxes and dreams. She never felt more at home. Moving from building to building, alleyway to dirty alleyway Maud closes in on her destination. A place in which leftover food was plenty. The downside? Hoping that there were any leftovers from ponies trying to survive just like her. If not she won't blame them. Maud is many things, but she's far from a pony that's willing to hold a grudge. No, she'll be disappointed but the time will come when luck will return to her side. Maud paused, ears twitching. She hears something. Something big. Her ears twitch again, And it wasn't alone. Maud hides. Dipping behind a garbage can with her breath held tightly inside her chest. Whatever it was she didn't want to risk getting exposed. Then again if it was someone like her she had little problem sharing her finders with a pony that might need it more. However what she saw instead left her speechless. Human. She was seeing a human, And not only that but two ponies were trailing behind him. Their eyes darted around as if they expected something or some pony to come out and attack them outright. Fortunately, no attack came. Instead, they were met with a curious mare who was suddenly interested in what they were doing. Especially with a human close by. However, Maud didn't want to reveal herself yet. Doing so might spook them and cause problems that might lead to a very unfortunate situation. No, instead the mare chooses to follow them from a distance. Once they were in an area of safety then she might reveal herself to them. Until then it was best to play it safe. That's something Maud was good at. At least that's what her sister use to say. """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" Blood. The streets were filled with blood. It was day 12 of the invasion and already dead human bodies can be seen everywhere, And I do mean everywhere. At this point, humanity became its own worse enemy. People did what they did best. They began to turn on one another. Friends, family, it didn't matter. Not when the only thing people cared about was survival. The government itself lasted longer than originally anticipated. However, even with this in mind, they could do little when it came to magic and the sheer number of ponies thrown at them. Hundreds if not thousands were killed but they just kept coming. A few soldiers reported a majority of them even looked the same. Of course, whether it was true or not did little to help. In the end, the government was forced to its knees after two whole years of fighting. Thoughts of nuclear winter came, but surprisingly nothing happened To this day the question of why was never answered There were no offers of peace or a reason given at any point during the war. Instead, humanity was met by an invasion of colorful horses that could use magic. That was all that they were ever given. Of course, some used regions as a way of explanation, but when no one saw the biblical quote that referenced ponies as carriers of the end times they lost interest. The smarter ones at least. Scientists were no better. They had theories, but all of them mounted to wanting nothing more than resources. However, they had trouble pointing out one thing in particular. Mostly because the ponies that were seen only appeared to kill and not to gather. Appearing to be at least to their enemies nothing more than bloodthirsty demons. However, at that point, it was already too late. The world fell. Bringing the majority of humanity as well as their government along with it. Those who survived were few and far between. Being unable to fight those that we're left with simply went into hiding. Doomed to walk the Earth knowing that they are a semblance of a dying race. A small dying picture that only hints at how great their people once were. Now? Now their nothing more than animals that are constantly being hunted down. All for the sick amusement of their so-called queen. However when one story ends another begins. Humanity may be gone, but there is a chance to fight back and reclaim planet Earth. If not then those left behind can leave a mark that can never be forgotten. One that seeps into this world's history like a bug crawling through your shirt. The war was over that munch is true, But the aftermath has yet to rear its ugly head. When it does you can believe that it will be something you don't want to miss. Not when it includes those who thought they could simply take over the planet without any everlasting consequences. Now that's a world that you can only dream of.

Home is many things to many different people, But to Olmon? Home is underneath a sewage pipe that reeks of piss and shit along with the bodies of those that stuck close to him. That's home. At least part of it. For the most part, he managed to find a small clearing that looked somewhat clean along with a solid surface that isn't covered in deep dark dirty water that was filled with things he didn't tend to dwell on. Not unless wanted to throw up. Then again he saw and experienced so many things that his heart hardened and grew numb to reality he doesn't want to think about it. Doesn't want to dwell on the screams and the scent of burnt flesh. He doesn't want to think. God, he doesn't want to think, And yet his mind doesn't stop. The whispers of the ponies behind him are the only thing he's barely keeping notes of. They still might try and kill him but Olmon doesn't care. If they do he'll be sure to drag them into the abyss that was his hell. "it smells terrible down here." Flitter coughs covering her nose. The stench alone was almost overpowering to the mare's sense. She figured that the human had a hideout of some sort and she did theorize that it was either outside of town or straight under their nose. She severely hoped that it was the former. Unfortunately, it seems as if her hope wasn't enough. Cloud snorts. "in times like these, it's good to be nose blind." "that's not fair! You were born that way!" Cloud smirks. "Exactly." In response, Flitter sticks her tongue out in dismay. Only to recoil in disgust. "ugh! I can practically taste it!" The sound of her sister's laugh did nothing to ease her suffering. "We're here." The human stops. In front of him looked to be near empty solid space. The only thing that was present appeared to be a sleeping bag and canned goods. The twins frowned. They at least expected a little more in terms of decoration, And yet. "don't touch my stuff." With that Olmon makes his way over to his limited supplies and started counting. "This can't be it!" Flitter whispers to her sister. The look on her face was a mixture of shock something akin to rage. However, it wasn't directed at Olmon or her sister. Chaser sighed. They should have expected something like this. Still, it deeply saddens her to know that he truly had nothing to look back on or remember his old life. "I know, I know, but regardless it's not our place to take interest in. For now, all we can do is figure out what to do." Flitter goes silent for a moment. "What about the others?" Cloud shakes her head. "No way, we can't ask them to risk their lives. Not after everything that happened." Flitter atoms her hoof. "Exactly! We risked it all for a cause and they would be thrilled to know that it wasn't in vain. As well as realizing that there was still a cause to fight for." Cloud grits her teeth. "you're asking them to risk their lives even after barely escaping capital punishment?" Flitter stares into her sister's eyes. Her gaze was something her sister was far too familiar with. It wasn't one she was born with. Rather it was something that stuck with the mare ever since she saw how humanity was truly treated. A look that followed her even after the war and the demise of her colt friend that fell because of it. It was a look of a mare who had enough. "ill do this either with you or without you." Cloud sighed. Oh, how she let her twin and her own set of morality get the better of her. Still, it was ironic. Especially considering that Flitter was the oldest among the two. The sound of someone laughing caused the two ponies to jump. They turn. Only to see the human standing before them with a hand covering his mouth. The look on his face was highly concerning the two mares. Especially from the look in his eyes. After a moment the laughing ceased and the human just stared at them. The twins glanced at one another. "Are you trying to get more ponies to get more ponies to kill me?" "What?! No! Flitter quickly stated. "we are just talking about other ponies we know who want to help just as much as we do" Cloud explained calmly. His gaze tore into their soul. "I'm always paying attention, and I promise you I never look away. Flitter was confused by his wording. Especially since he looked away moments ago while checking over his supplies. Regardless she nods as well with Chaser who gave an affirmative. The human merely stares back before allowing them to speak alone once more. However, not long after that, the sounds of hoof steps echoed causing them to tense. All except for Olmon. "She's here." Flitter blinked in confusion. "who's here? However, turning away now seems counterproductive so she continued. After entering a small but clear area Maud looks around. Only to see nothing that piqued her interest. At least to the naked eye. Upon feeling a weird sensation around her throat Maud began mentally counting backward from five. It wasn't long before something large wrapped its hands around her throat pushing her up against the wall and leaving her hooves dangling in the air. "what do you want?" Maud blinked locking eyes with the human. As well as noticing the two pegasi in the background. Ah, from what she's feeling it seems that her life might be on the line. Maud smiles. "Hello."

Visions, nightmares dreams of violence, dying worlds, and crimes of evil so twisted it made the likes of Sombra look small and weak in comparison. Maud has seen it all. Not because she wants to, but because she is forced to by a force, a power that lived inside her. Is it alive? Aware? She doesn't know. All she does know is that she could never escape the dreams. The images of the corpse of beings known and not known are stacked into piles of thousands. Each body each face has a story she is forced to relive over and over, and over again. She hated it. She hated them, And yet she couldn't help but feel sorry. Humans can be violent and wicked beings full of hate and rage and are capable of monstrous acts such as indiscriminate slaughter or genocide of their own. Ponies are ignorant self-centered individuals who see a single entity as a god. They will kill, rape, torture, and sacrifice their foals if she deemed it so. Both species are capable of enacting war and death on a mass scale. Each one will claim that it was for a good cause or an act that was wielded by their god. In the end, they were all the same. Whether the ponies did it first or the humans did the result would have been the same. A mirror that despite seeing different faces will always just be a mirror. "I asked you a question." Maud tilts her head. The smile never left her lips. Oh, the answer was so simple, and yet if she were to tell they'll never understand. After all, she's the one behind the mirror. Forced to watch the outcome no matter which side she chooses. The grip on her throat tightens. She coughs. "Should we kill her?" Cloud whips around staring at her sister in horror. Flitter on the other hoof was staring up at the human. The look on her face was apprehensive but willing. Maud blinks. Now wasn't a good time to keep her mouth shut it seemed. "I was curious." The human sneered. "you've been following us for a reason." "ah, you noticed. The human stared. Maud stared back. "I've seen glimpses of a human before I just wasn't sure until now, but the same could be said for you." "does it matter? It was only a matter of time before someone discovered this place." Maud nods. Either way, the result would have been the same. Just like the mirror. You can only change the face, not the action. At least that's what she believes. Her sister on the other hoof. No, now isn't the time to dwell on the past. She made her choice now there isn't much Maud could do. Right? Ah yes, she almost forgot that her life currently hangs in the balance. She'll save the guilt thinking for later. I haven't brought anypony else along but myself doesn't that say something?" "Depends," Flitter says. "You could be some kind of spy." Maud snorts. "I've seen spies and I can tell you half of them can't find a bit under a rock." Cloud puts a hoof to her lips trying not to laugh but falling. Flitter stared at her sister in surprise. She wasn't the one who dwelled munch on humor after all. At least not after their parents forcibly kicked them out due to not having enough food on the table. The memory of it alone still makes her heart ache we both rage and sorrow. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill you." The laughing ceased. By the look on his face, the human wasn't joking. Why should she live? Maud pondered this for a moment. She didn't have much in terms of skill and next to nothing when it came to supplies. Her so-called foresight was limited, and she only knows certain outcomes and not the steps. Plus it's a family secret. One she swore to take to her grave. Maud blinked. Well technically she was strong and strength could be used for a lot of things. However, that alone ain't something that will guarantee her life alone. At least not at the moment. Maud closed her eyes, And when she did an image flashed in her mind. A store. A pony. Food. Safety? No, home. A new home. Maud opens her eyes. She understood now. Her purpose standing behind the mirror. Her job was to point. The grey pony smirks her eyes filled with a certain glow. One that a certain pink sister would have been thrilled to see. "I can show you the way."
