Serene is a very lovely and beautiful earth pony who lives just outside a village. She likes embroidery and often goes into the village to give her creations away as gifts. She is well-liked and is usually given gifts of her own: fresh food, various knick-knacks, hats, scarves, books, and just about anything for her charitable and generous disposition.

One day, the popular mare enters the village at night to be welcomed by the inhabitants surprising her with a party in her honor. It was to formally thank Serene for her kind-hearted and unselfish nature.

As the hours flew by and the party slowly came to an end, Serene bid farewell to the village folk and began to head home. When Serene reaches her house, she started to feel that she wasn't alone.

Whatever it is, it is coming from outside and it isn't going away.
