Detective Twilight Sparkle was at the Golden Oak Libary researching these disappearances hoping to find some that she didn't investigate before, she then found a newpaper and looked into it ''Dissapperacne at the Grand Galloping Gala, some strange activity was seen at last year's Galloping Gala according to some reports a wealthy earth pony passed out after drinking something while others say it was donut or some other baked treat the pony passed out from.''

''Even though the case was looked into, it never really got anywhere and it was eventually abandoned all together''

''Something tells me that case has something to do with The Hacksaw Killer but why would he or she go after a wealthy pony?'' Twilight asked ''Oh here's another one, Remains of Ponyville Schoolhouse teacher Miss Cheerliee was discovered in one of the classrooms pierced with glass shards with her eyelids, teeth and skin under her hooves missing hanging on chains. Now THAT sounds like a trap The Hacksaw Killer would setup'' Twilight realized

All of a sudden she heard rummaging around the library ''Um hey Spike if you're looking for something maybe keep the noise down'' Twilight yelled she then heard hoofsteps coming towards her ''What the-'' Twilight turned around before getting knocked out with a big book by a hooded pony, button eye glasses, and stitched up mouth face mask

Twilight woke up in this dark room with dry blood that came from behind her right eye ''Hello anypony here'' The unicorn detective said, she felt something metal around her head. She used her horn to light up the room revealing that she was in the caves below canterlot and the thing on her face was a Reverse Bear Trap. ''AHHHHHH WHAT IS THIS THING!'' Twilight shouted she tried to use her magic to remove the trap off her head but it didn't seem to budge. When trying to shoot the trap the blast just dissappered it didn't refract off it shooting her back in the face or even leave a mark on the trap.

The TV sitting on a chair turned on and Stichy greeted Twilight ''Hello Detective Twilight Sparkle i want to play a game but this isn't any ordinary game this is a trial, your trial to be exact, Princess Celestia is still alive and my apprentice have captured your partner Detective Flurry Heart.'' Stichy explainedl, The TV then showed footage of Princess Celestia in trap where she was gagged, had a chain around her neck and standing on a ice block moving her hooves around. Flurry Heart on the other hoof was gagged and strapped to a chair (This Trap will be described in more detail in the last chapter)

Stichy came back onto the screen ''In order to save Celestia and Flurry you'll have to go through a series of test but before you could start the trial and the first test you'll have to pass a entrance exam which in this case is a reverse bear trap that's immune to magic i call it The Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 .

''And to make sure you don't try to get back up on me and my apprentice i have planted a bomb behind your right eye and i'll blow you up along with any pony around you if you try to get backup so keep that in mind.'' Stichy explained showing footege of a large mysterious pony putting a small bomb behind Twilight's right eye which explains the dry blood that came from Twilight's right eye, ''live or die make your choice.'' Stichy said before the TV shut off

Twilight trotted off only for a metal cord to get pulled and come off setting off a timer 1 minute and 30 seconds. ''AHHHHHH
okay stay calm, stay calm.'' The unicorn detective said to herself looking around the cave for a key, ''Maybe it's hidden in one of these cave's wall.'' Twilight said before firing a blast at a crystal it refracted off it and almost hit the detective in the face luckily getting blocked by the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 .

Twilight eventually found a pile of rocks and dug her hooves into it and luckily found the key. ''Wow It was that easy to find the key nothing like sharp or pointy objects OH RIGHT!'' Twilight said using her magic to put the key into the lock. Unfortunately the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 didn't unlock turns out the blast the refracted off the crystal that almost hit her in the face was able to destroy the lock and jammed the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0. ''NO NO NO NO COME ON UNLOCK!'' The unicorn yelled twisting, turning and shoving the key into the lock trying to unlock the trap. ''FUCKING UNLOCK!'' she yelled again, and there was only 20 seconds left on the timer.

''THERE'S GOTTA BE A ANOTHER WAY TO GET OUT OF THIS!'' Twilight yelled before seeing a couple of rusty pipes ''Hopefully this works!'' The unicorn detective said before putting the jaw part of The Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 between 2 pipes the timer reached zero and activated cutting off a chunk of Twilight's cheek.

Twilight knew the pipes weren't gonna hold it so she quickly pull herself out of The Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 right before the 2 rusty pipes broke and the jaw part fully opened the broken pipes falling along with the trap.

''Woah that could've been me'' Twilight said using her back to pick up the activated Reverse Bear Teap 2.0 she had gotten a chunk of her cheek cut off from the trap on but besides that nothing to major. Using her horn as a light source Twilight made her way around the cave before coming across Stichy in person riding a scooter similar to Scootaloo's.

''Congratulations Detective Twilight Sparkle, you've passed the entrance exam able to escape The Reverse Bear Trap 2.0. Now you can start your trial but in order to start the first test you must blast away the wall but be careful your eyes can deceive you, not everything that shines are crystals, so look carefully.'' Stichy said before teleporting away

''How did that Unicorn Doll teleport away, how does that work?'' Twilight asked ''Looks like the Unicorn behind this knows a lot more magic and spells that the average unicorn which goes above the limit of unicorn magic.'' Twilight said before trotting off.

Author's Note

I based Detective Twilight Sparkle on Eric Matthews and Daniel Rigg from Saw since according to the Saw Wiki both of them have a temperamental and focused personality. Eric is one of my favorites characters from the Saw series but it kinda suck he was a corrupt cop so that why i made Twilight one of the only non corrupt law enforcers in her department

I Think a huge reason why Saw 1: Escape Temple has 6 dislikes is because everypony dies from their trap this might make people hate the story because they think all the traps are Inescapable/Unfair/Rigged so ponies will escape their trap but this will be VERY RARE since it only applies to ponies important to the plot and if a trap doesn't kill a pony it'll recycle it for another pony usually for a introduction trap since i don't waste GOOD TRAPS
